This is a very good Whole Foods Market. They always have what I need.
Friendly staff and a well-stocked salad bar make this my favorite Whole Foods in Mill Valley (there are two Whole Foods markets in Mill Valley, and this is definitely the better of the two). The only downside is parking: theres not enough if it in the stores lot, so you may have to park on Miller Ave or one of the nearby public parking lots.
I found what I was looking for. The staff was great to tell me where to look.
Very helpful staff and great craft beer selection for a smaller Whole Foods.
I experienced such thoughtful assistance from Noah and other staff when inquiring about availability of a certain product. He was so personable and took it upon himself to see if my earlier research was actually regarding the other nearby Whole Foods store. He took the time to call over to them and verify that they indeed had stock. I shared with him a little story as to why I was looking for Jeni’s Ice Cream (from my home state of Ohio, so it’s a taste of home!) and he listened so intently and showed genuine interest. You are A+, my friend!
Smaller than most Whole Foods but helpful staff and have most of grocery needs.
Another whole foods in Mill Valley! This is not the premium Whole Foods in Mill Valley, but it is my premium store. If you want a better selection of products go to the East Blithedale Ave. location. A better option is Good Earth at the shoreline shopping plaza. So, you can leave this little store to me and a few of my friends. 😜
If I could I would give this place a negative start. I had never been discriminated while trying to pay for my food. On 12/20/2020 between 10am and 11am, the cashier was saying good morning to every customer that he was helping but when it was time for me to pay he ignore me when I said good morning to him, then he scramble my receipt and threw it inside my bag. I had never felt so humiliated before. Whole foods claim to support diversity and inclusivenes yet they discriminate people of color. Security guard was harassing me thru the store I couldnt shop peacefully. I deserve the same respect as everyone else that was shopping in the store.
I just started shopping at this store and Im very impressed with the staff. Of course Im crazy due to the pandemic, but I find these people exceptionally friendly and helpful. This is my go-to market from now on.
Always find what I need. Staff is nice and helpful
This little store on Miller Ave never disappoints. The people who work there are friendly and helpful. Their choices in all departments rival any larger store. Top ratings!!
Really small but the cashiers are so friendly. Manager on duty rarely smile or make eye contact or say hello or goodbye.
Great selection (although slightly smaller than other WF) and friendly customer service as you expect at whole foods along with aGrateful 💀Dead soundtrack to shop to(So Mill Valley! 😂)
My pickup person selected fresh produce and was quick and friendly
Not impressed. Limited sandwich menu. Could not order online. Slow.
Excellent shop in Mill Valley.Wash room always clean.Limited takout at the hot deli counter due to COVID 19 but plenty of such ready to go in the chiller section.Prices are $$$ but worth it.
Nice clean
Great little WFM in a quansit hut. Great little store.
Very pleasant store during theses COVID times, much less crowded with Amazon pickers a than the Berkeley Gilman store.
Great staff. Fresh produce. Plenty of inventory. All around, a really good Whole Foods
I do most of my shopping at Whole Foods. Since I spend part of my week in Mill Valley, I shop at the Whole Foods there as well. I find this location in Encina Plaza to be one of the best Whole Foods I have shopped at. It is large, clean, and they have a great selection of items. Parking is plentiful, and the employees are very helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend this location to anyone interested in shopping at Whole Foods.
This market was the very first Whole Foods in Mill Valley, before it became almost a “Cult upper class” type Corporate market. The same neighborhood folks that give daily advice and kind questions about our health make this an all time go- to- place. Love the sweet competent people there. Thank you guys, grateful that you guys are there and help James my life partner out w healthy food suggestions and emotional friendship and support since I have been very ill. Peace. Happy Holidays.
This is the cutest whole foods in America. Everything is perfect. The hot food could use a lil improving, but still looks tasty. The beer/wine/cheese guy is always extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The checkout staff are warm and friendly. The ask how your day was and care about your answer. Its a pleasant experience every time.
Found my hefeweizen; twas a good day
Only in Marin County? Two Whole Foods stores within a couple of miles one another. This is the Original Marin store. Easy parking... Perfect size store for all your needs- gourmet ice cream can be hit or miss- other than that- this is just a smaller, fine store.
Easy access and parking, delicious organic fruits and veges. Friendly, helpful staff.
During our month-long stay in Bolinas, stopped in here to get some groceries after a day down on the Peninsula. It’s a smaller, more intimate store than many other Whole Foods which is both good and bad. On the plus side, it’s got a nice “small town market” feel. On the downside, the selection (especially of meat) is narrower than a larger store. Parking is across the street in a well-signed lot and we didn’t have any trouble finding a spot quickly - even though it was right in the middle of the after-work rush.
The meat department consistently went above and beyond when I had special requests because of people with medical conditions. A couple of the cashiers are pretty nice also. Havent had much interaction with the rest of the employees
LOVE ..LOVE ...LOOOOVEWHOLE FOODS MILLER AVE.!...M.V.Still Has that NEIGHBORHOOD FEEL! & THE STAFF ARE SOME OF THE NICEST, MOST ACCOMMODATING TO BE FOUND!...AND, THEY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE FAMILY!! GREAT JOB FOLKS!!YOU ALL GET 5 - 🌟s & MORE!🤗
Step in on a day trip to pick up a sandwich from the deli. Talk about rude people! From the deli to cashier. My deli person made my sandwich and threw on the counter without looking me in the eye. I had to ask him as he walked away if that was my sandwich due to there was other people waiting also. Will have to visit the one on East Blithedale to see if service is any better!
Usually a much better experience the its sister store down the street.
Missed this store, had not been here in years. nice people and a real market feel.
Its whole foods... same same. Is a review necessary? nice people and good produce
The original flavor WF in Mill Valley. Smaller footprint, a slightly different kind of Hipster frolicks here, but the staff are extremely down to earth. Salad bar a little more compact. Plenty of prepacked foods. Cashier is staring at his newly discovered 1906 Indian Head penny... So theres that!
Nice and tidy store with helfpul staff, good coffee and smoothies. easy parking too.
If youve been to one Whole Foods, youve been to them all. Nice and clean, okay parking, semi-interested staff, and super overpriced everything. Dont look too much into the price reductions that Amazon has rolled out. Its all on high volume and low margin items. Anything you really need to purchase, is just as expensive as you remember.
Stopped by for food, and the options were great. Three of the party are vegetarian and they loved it. I am not and had good options as well.
Its the closest market, has good ready to eat fare and lots of unusual products. Real food is 5 minutes away at Safeway.
Staff were extremely helpful and directed me where to find products. Meat and seafood staff were amazing as well
The management is excellent and coffee man with French accent. Bakery is not so nice, but much more civil than miller store in the bakery. Miller store bakery is a horrible mess with the exception of John. Management is their strength at this location.
Very easy purchase of a beautiful princess cake that was freshly baked on premises. I will definitely return for more cakes.
Best staffing of any grocery store I have ever shopped in!Fish monger, somolier, the butchers! They all have contributed to many of my dinner party successes!Thank you!
Its a shame Mill Valley is so crowded n to me its lost its chArm...20yrs ago it was nice but to get n out is a chore....traffic horrible n so overcrowded Im surprised values havent drop...the quality of life is not that great when u need two hours to get outa there...the whole foods there is crowded too n reflects the town .....is as crowded As New York City on a Saturday....if u live there then n can find pArking n put up w the traffic n u dont mind the crowd then this place is for u...nice small store...congested as much the same town is....its depressing ..
Friendly staff, high quality and good selection for a smaller store. Prices of 365 brand actually reasonable.
Wonderful WFM with a little bit of everything. Quaint, hometown feel. Super friendly people.
The Older of the Two WFs in little ol Mill Valley. We avoid shopping at noon when the high school kids fill the aisles and take over. Employees have to be on the look out for sticky fingers. Pushy kids! We seek out Tim in the Wine Dept before every speciall event....he is remarkable.Walking encyclopedia. Love the layout of the store and across the st parking
Good service fresh items fresh meats and fish love this place one of my favorite
Much better prices on what I buy..roasted organic chicken, salmon, almond butter had been on sale
I bought a salad at the salad bar there: it was very good, but I did not have enough proteins choices amongst the ingrédients in my opinion
The breakfast bar is something I look forward to...the crispy bacon and buttery eggs are my absolute FAVORITE!
Great produce. Good selection but significant wait times in express lanes
This is my favorite Whole Foods in the country. So, so gorgeous and beautiful.
2nd best Whole Foods in Mill Valley, the Whole Foods Capital of the world.
Standard whole foods, but parking lot is very difficult for getting in and out.
The sense of community is still alive in this store, very happy people that work there
I just love Whole foods great, customers services and a place to go food shopping to go
Great location and lots of local stuff
Many produce items not organic. Poor selection of many items. Many brand items have been replaced by the 365 house brand.
Best market in area. Good deli and seafood counter.
Its whole foods.. a pretty big good one. Pricey obviously
Good food selection, nice folks, not as crowded as the other Mill Valley store.
Very good deli, great for grabbing food for a hike on the nearby trails
A great, small store with an inviting yet confusing layout. Aisles seem a bit chaotic forcing you to walk in circles.
Best grocery store.
Looks small from the outside, but still it is a huge store with lots of choice. The hot meal bar is missing in this Whole Foods market.
Good sandwich, kinda pricey
Clean and neat, with relatively easy parking.
Great hot bar and friendly staff
They sell groceries.
Staff is never helpful, kinda rude, like its an inconvenience to answer a question or point to an item.
Poor service. Not enough employees. Takes too long to check out
They have a large selections of alcohol beverages, compare to most Whole Foods.
The vegtable had no taste .expensive
The only inconvenience is the parking lot, otherwise fantastic selection and staff.
Great grocery with lovely staff
Nuzzle
Wow, prices have really come down!
The trusted place to go for healthy food.
Nice staff...
