We’ve only been here a few times, but it’s where my husband and I went on our first date ten years ago. We recently visited again for our wedding anniversary and were happy to find that not much has changed. Good drinks, food, bathrooms, seating both indoors and out. We frequent a couple of other coffee shops in the area much more often, but enjoy coming back here every now and again.

On a Tuesday afternoon when my internet happen to experience an outage, I walked to this local coffee shop for a needed break. I savored a delicious vanilla latte with the perfect blend of flavors. The inside reminded me of a quaint cabin you could spend hours at. There’s even a fireplace as you walk through the door. I enjoyed a few quiet moments with the warm sun peeking through the clouds outside on the spacious patio. I wanted to find a my go-to coffee spot and I may have found it.

They had some interesting drink names and combinations, for sure! But they make a delicious lavender oat milk tea latte and lemon butter crepe! It was an absolute perfect pairing! I was eating so fast I almost forgot to take pictures! And it is a unique spot- an old little house, with different colors of different paint. Great patio for the spring and summer, but not much parking around back. Last, the entrance and order taking area is really small. I didnt mind the lack of social distancing and it was definitely worth the wait! Cant wait to come back and try something else new and original!

If youre coming here for Gluten Free crepes and you have an allergy, dont bother. The batter MAY be gluten free but they cook it on the same surface as the normal gluten crepes. If you have an allergy to gluten, you will get sick from cross contamination. The ambiance is still cute for a coffee shop. Very mom and pop, down to earth feel with local artist work on the walls. I wont be driving an 1hr & 1/2 out of my way to come here again just for coffee but if you live in the neighborhood it would be worth stopping by and supporting local.

Visited for the first time today. I’ve driven by multiple times over the years and I’ve been meaning to give it a try. Glad I finally did. It’s cutely set up. The menu options look great. I only tried their house chai which I was told is made in house. That was tasty. I did notice some of the different crepes being served to other customers and I’d like to give them a try so I will be back. Parking is convenient and ample. The outdoor seating is nicely set up. The facility is clean and welcoming. The art is mostly local and fits well with the vibe. I will be back. Highly recommended.

Hopefully the owner will see this and can provide better training to some employees. My partner and I went for drinks and crepes this morning, waited in front without a greeting for several minutes, and when the worker came up from the back, still didn’t acknowledge us and it was us starting the interaction. There was no apologies for the wait. After hello, the first thing she said was, crepes don’t start until 9am. Very blunt. I looked at my partner and told them that’s all I wanted, to which the worker then walked away. He still wanted a coffee, but she never gave us a chance to order that. After being left at the register alone we decided we would go elsewhere.

3 stars because while their food and coffee is good and the patio is a surprising find, they allow smoking on a portion of the patio, which ruins the experience.Today we sat down to to eat at a nice table on the empty patio and mid way through breakfast someone sat down and started smoking near us. We kindly asked him to move further away, and he explained that smoking is allowed and and that, we chose the wrong spot. Its a bummer we couldnt really enjoy our meal after that.I have been here and sat inside which has a nice neighborhood vibe with a book exchange and local art on display.

Ive taken many friends and first/second dates here (good ones and bad). The fact I keep returning says something. For an evening coffee excursion, its the go to place that I can count on to be open late. Its quirky and unique which is what I want from a coffeeshop, especially at night, and as a bonus you can get a crepe also. With a surprising menu of them offered. Theyre even good quality crepes, the Nutella crepes are on par with most crepe stands in Paris, in my experience.Theres a good vibe here. Not perfect, but pretty dang good most of the time. Staff are chill and friendly, and there are lots of cool trees outside. Sometimes a patron will have a dog (always friendly) which I dig because dogs are the best! Another quirk that I live is that you can play chess here, if you want. Just ask for a chessboard. 👍♟️They sometimes do live indie music performances, on certain nights, and that can be fun, or you can avoid it altogether by sitting outside. Though I havent been there for this in a while. Overall, good mix of inside and outside seating, so you can have a more extroverted experience or a more intimate experience. The neighborhood surrounding it is not my favorite place in the world, but the coffee shop itself is like an island oasis that is totally separate from anything around it.They would also benefit from more parking, but its not too inconvenient to park a little ways down the street. All in all, I dig it here. I keep coming back. So I recommend it!

Out of towner, was looking for a good crepeAnd coffee. I was disappointed to say the least with this shop. I got there and ordered take out and had to sit there for 15 minutes and watch the girl make two crepes for the people who ordered AFTER me first, number one. Number two, the crepe was HARD as she forgot mine on the crepe grill for over 5 minutes, so it was BURNT and crispy which a crepe should NOT be. Number three, I asked for bananas and Nutella and she put like six tiny slices of banana on my crepe. Could you spare them???? This was supposed to be my breakfast not a little snack. Sadly, I took two bites and my crepe went into the trash along with the ridiculous 12 dollars she charged me for it. Would definitely not recommend. The only reason I give two stars is because the coffee was DECENT.

Great indoor seating. The bathroom was quite nice. The deck was full of thriving plants just having the time of their lives. There was a nice balance of shade and sun. The volume of seating available made me feel ok about spending 3 hours there. It was exactly what I needed. I didnt go for the coffee or the cake. Overall, the food is yummy. The atmosphere is small, but has character and it a great place to relax/kill time. However, the reason I am rating this four stars instead of five is because the crepe service is extremely slow. The coffee comes out decently quick (under 10 min), but expect to wait 30-45 minutes for a crepe (Ive timed it out of curiosity several times). Ive come here multiple times for the delicious spinach feta crepe, but Im always waiting about half an hour or more for it to come out, even when business appears to be slow. They usually only have one person running on staff, which may explain the wait. This picture is of the strawberry and cream crepe. Personally, I enjoy their savory crepes more. Enjoy and be sure not to be in a hurry!

I need to start off by saying this is one of the cutest coffee shops I’ve ever been to! The atmosphere is unmatched and the baristas are super friendly and offer a non-intimidating environment to vibe in. The drinks here are really good. Greenhouse Effect is a homey, warm, artistic space which allows people of all kinds to feel welcome. Whether youre in and out or choose to spend your day see the coffee shop using their free WiFi, provided board games or to read one of their many books from their bookshelves, this is your place. They have a wide menu of coffee to choose from (warning: they dont speak Starbucks- many of us will appreciate that bit of humor!), as well as crepes of all sorts. There is plenty of parking around back and if the lot gets full, there is on street parking by the apartments just north and also across the street. Definitely enough parking to go around. In good weather, you will love the different patios which are surrounded in vines, succulents, and an abundance of sumptuous potted plants. Though Greenhouse Effect sits facing 9th East, youll never know as it is separated from the traffic by tall boxwood hedges. They allow smoking on the lower decks but not on the upper deck and because of all the well grown and incredibly tended grape vines, youll never know anybody is smoking below you if that isnt your thing.Greenhouse is very pet friendly and puts out several large bowls of ice water around the deck in the summer. They have their own dog on the property nearly all the time.Greenhouse is like a hidden grotto; a hidden garden; a secret which isnt well kept. The patrons of Greenhouse seem to respect one another and the shop which is provides a great experience for all of us.The one wish I have is that I was able to capture the scrumptious scent in either words or a photo for you. The smell is... exotic. I smell cinnamon and perhaps a bit of ginger. I thought to ask but decided I like a little mystery in my hidden grotto.

I have been going here for about 4 years and it is one of my favorite family owned small business. Their crepes are so delicious without fail ever. Every time I’ve come here which is usually atleast once a week, I am never disappointed and leave happy.Update: Came in today & trusted Jimmy’s recommendation again. Had the best strawberry steam dream with half oat milk half almond milk with a few pumps of white chocolate per his artistic liberty. My friend who came in with me is celiac and said they have the best gluten free crepes she’s ever tried. She also forgot to specify whether she wanted whipped cream or not so Jimmy brought it on the side to make sure she wasn’t intolerant to dairy as well !
