Cesar from Pro Star Towing was outright fantastic! If I had a wad of cash on me last night, I absolutely would have tipped him what his service was worth, so please make sure he knows how much I appreciate his massive help! He expertly helped me move my broken down van into a better position for towing, then dropped the van almost exactly where I was hoping, despite the fact there was lots of cars in the area to avoid and even assisted in pushing a neighbors truck that wouldnt start out of the way so my vehicle could be parked there instead. My neighbors and I assisted him in any way we could, and with his strength, knowledge and skill, he made a very tough situation as seamless as possible, and even inflated my flat tires for ease of manually rolling the camper van into its final spot after dropping it. I cant recommend him highly enough, he deserves a raise! Thanks Cesar!

This is a copy of the review I left on Yelp before the company had Yelp take it down.This company is awful and doesnt care about what the driver didThis is about driving behavior observed yesterday 3/22 on the road by one of their mobile battery service trucks.So the side of the truck says safety - service - satisfaction. Well I can tell you that he was not safe on the road at all. Between weaving back and forth in traffic, to looking at his cell phone and digging out whatever food he was chewing he was a major road hazard. He was riding my bumper as well as anyone else that was in front of him.I havent let the company know because they arent going to do anything about it, because Im sure this isnt new behavior for him and they are going to take care of their own. But if this is an example of the quality of employees this business has then you would be wise to take your money and business elsewhere.Also after reviewing the photos I took and attached, I noticed not only does he not care about drivers but pedestrians are fair game for him also. For shame pro star men like this should not be on the road. Or maybe if he causes enough accidents you can make a quick buck on the towing hmmm

Service above and beyond, but a higher rating would have been possible had I not been charged 180 dollars for 10 hours due to mechanical failure

If I can give 0 start or negative start then I would.I had a collision with this towing truck back in March 2019. Their towing truck hit the back of my car when I was stopping at the red light.It was my first accident experience and the road was completed packed so I did not report or call the police for this.Even through I had an agreement with their manager, and talked to their boss that Pro Start will compensate the damage which they caused. Their insurance company still denied to do that after I put up a claim through my insurance company.I tried to call their boss and their manager but they keep on denying that the collision never happened.With a company like this I suggest that we should not use any kind of their services. I have the picture of the agreement between their manager and myself for the collision.Its only 500$ but this incident proves that the company is a scammer and not worth to be trusted.

This review is for the tow-truck driver working for Pro-Star by the name of Jason #28 on his card.My Mother got rear-ended and my young sister was the only one available to come and help assist my Mom at the scene. Police dispatched a tow truck and Jason came to tow the vehicle.Once the cops left he pulled my sister to the side and instructed her he needs $250 cash in advance to tow the car.My sister not knowing if she needs to pay him or not called me and told me the tow-truck driver needs $250 cash to tow the truck. NOT SO FAST. I told my sister no do not pay him and Pro-star can bill us later. I instructed her to let me talk to him and I hear Jason say NO I DO NOT NEED TO TALK TO HIM.I advised my sister to just leave at which point I figured Jason realizing he wasnt going to get his cash left as did my sister.I called and left a message with the manager who called me back the next day. I explained to him the situation and of course he had to say it was a misunderstanding which I agree. If that was the case Jason couldve express that to me over the phone as it took his manager only about 1 minute to tell me what the normal procedure is. If you demand $250 cash and refuse to explain the reason then I am obligated to express how I feel about how this was handled.I really feel that either Jason was incompetent or he wanted to pocket an extra $250 from my sister. So if you get Jason as your tow driver beware.

CHRIS CAME TO MY CAR FOR A LOCKOUT....I WAS MORE THAN LOCKED OUT....IT WAS A FULL ON....LOCK DOWN. Jeep has a recall on alternators; ours just up and smoked and killed the battery.Needed a tow, at 9pm.Jay #12 was prompt, knowledgeable, skillful, courteous; and made it easier for us to make it through a long day.Thanks again.

Terrible service, dispatched by AAA for a flatbed tow for a flat tire, driver was immediately rude on the phone, sounding disgruntled, upon areived talked down to us with a very negative attitude and denying a tow because the car was too low i even offered to remove the bumper, to no avail and leaving us on the side of the road was icing on the cake, had the same car towed the previous month from a racetrack, a much more challenging tow given the mechanical breakage that occured, and the other company had no issues towing with the same type of flatbed and were very eager to help. 2 stars because he showed up quickly and on time

Service was good, but you dont want to be there for an impounded vehicle

Their driver knocked off my bumper towing my car from the curb to the center of the street and did not put it back on right. The same driver convinced me their repair shop was the best but that was not the case. David the manager told me on Facebook that I did not report it. No I thought the driver was honest and fixed it but when that was not the fact I called and you David put the customer last.

My car broke down on Hwy 880. Scary and stressful. Jay arrived quickly and got me safely into the truck as the sun was setting. I was so relieved to be safe and off the highway before dark. After we dropped my car off at a garage, he dropped me off at the nearest BART station. Great customer service. Thank You, Jay.

I was really going threw a tough time after my car was taken away robbed by the police. To make a long story short, THERE REALLY IS ANGELS IN THE OUT FEILD. Life can really kick your a$$ at times. Ut was during one of these times that my path crossed with field service technican Jason from Prostar Towing. The situation had me late for an appt with not a moment to.soare and without both wallet and phone, in a car juat acquired, insurance documents still unprinted and in my inbox, battery dead as a doornail.Ive dealt with many, many towning companies over my 50 year life span and to this day have yet to meet any that have a heart, less whatever value you for pay for anyway. UNTIL NOW.After a short walk I found this man refueling his service vehicle and with another customer already seated next to him, broken car up on the flat bed behind them. I approached and doubtfully explained my situation. He first respectfully assured his customer didnt mind and immediately went to work for my rescue, knowing well in advance this one was likely a just a courtesy call.But the man didnt just roll up amd hook up cables to resolve my dead battery issue, at least not without first ensuring Prostars service level was known by me to the fullest from the moment his boot hit the pavement.Treating me with kindness and respect, he cautiously questioned me to educate himself with my issue, less risk causing any damage to my new (new for me) used Acura MDX.Now some may think this seems a bit foolish, making such an effort to comment publically about this event, but ask yourself honestly that baed from all of your own towing service related experiences, if a tow truck driver has ever been professional, kind, respectful, courteous, expeditious and caring, all at the same time. Now ask yourself if they did so knowing in advance they not only wont be getting paid, but very well may lose money in fact while if a call was broadcast by dispatch while he was tied up with me, he would have had no choice but to pass on it, meaning less food on the table for his family. Yet there was no hesitation.I dont know all the drivers at Prostar and until today didnt even know they existed. But from this day on I will be only trusting my hard earned money is paid to the best Tow Service Ive ever witnessed in my life, Prostar. Id give Jason and Prostar 6 stars if they would allow it, only 5 in this situation just seems unjust!Thank you Prostar and especially to you Jason, a rare breed you are indeed. I cant thank Caleb enough! He turned my bad night around and never made me feel uncomfortable or burdening while doing his job. Really great experience with Prostar towing tonight! My gas tank was siphoned while I was at the Tesla factory in Fremont, CA and Caleb was able to get me back on the road within an hour of my AAA call. I would recommend Prostar towing to my friends and family.

Pretty sure the tow truck driver wanted to get home or something. He made up any excuse he could think of to not tow my car.

Normally you only hear about bad experiences, therefore I am here to say that our driver Jay #12 was very courteous and professional with the towing of our Hummer H2. Highly recommend him for any of your towing needs.

Please tell your driver driving on Tazman through the Cisco Campus to stop honking at the car in front of him the second the light turned green. Its annoying and rude. Having to sit through long red lights was already annoying enough.

This towed our broken 9 year old Volvo through AAA when its steering column was locked in 2014. Well, the office said if they would have to tow it to Volvo agency after looking over the hood, theyd charge some. Our car ended up to the agency on Stevens Ck. But Pro Star didnt charge anything.
