Loved this store! Well run location, stocked well with a variety of choice items to pick from. The store left a good impression due to how clean & organized it was. I have visited several Grocery Outlet stores in both Oregon & California, & the Malpitas store is by far one of the most impressive of all of the locations I have visited. I love the store Ive always loved the store. Grocery outlet is the bomb and this one downtown has a lot of awesome merchandise as well as food options and brand options. Cant ever say enough nice things about Grocery Outlet. I only gave four stars though because as a loyal customer who spends a lot of money in their establishment, Im amazed that they wouldnt let me use the restroom. I guess folks these days dont think twice about denying a fellow human being access to the same service that they themselves will require. Very nice & Quiet place. They keep good quality of items and sell at a very reasonable price, I often go here to get groceries. I initially started going to grocery outlet just to get organic whole milk as it was $1.50 cheaper than other stores as my finace recommended it and then I kind of developed interest for other grocery items too. The section where they keep all the chocolates is really good to check out, I was surprised when I saw the prices and made me realize how much more I was paying at other stores, also their staff is so welcoming and helpful.

This Grocery Outlet is the best I have ever been to. Tons of plant based products and great quality produce. So many cheap products that are sold for five to ten times the price at bix box grocery stores. This is what Grocery Outlet was all about a few years ago and this store is back on it. Your employee Kyle T. was courteous and helpful despite it being the end of his shift. This is a great store!

Quick friendly service here as well. I wish they had more vegetable options but decent for what you get.

Stopped by here while waiting to pick up food from a wonderful Malaysian restaurant Layang Layang nearby. They had Starbucks and Peets coffee, both ground and whole beans. The place was super clean and everyone was practicing social distancing.

I love Grocery outlet, the employees are awesome. One of the employees helped pay for our groceries. It was greatly appreciated.

The store was clean lots of customer service lost the stuff around they completely restocking stuff that was out of stock theyre making sure the stock was fresh there was three clerks up front even though theres a lot of people in the store the service was fast

A great place to shop and find deals, but it disappointing how much of their NOSH selection has become focused only on vegan foods to the exclusion of other dietary options over the last year.

This is one of my favorite grocery outlets in the bay area . The store is pretty big, clean and has a lot of items that I cant seem to find at other locations . If youre in the area stop by and check them out.

I found this place by chance and cant believe how cheap things are. You can stock your freezer with ready made meals for a fraction of the price with good range of vegan, veggie options. Same for yogurts, toothpaste, shower gel etc.Tip is you need to come with an open mind to product types you need but not specifics!Staff overall are friendly and courteous and seldom are there long lines.

The most unfriendliest place ever. No bathroom for an old lady who had to go potty really bad.

Keep your expectations low and mind open and you can almost find some good stuff for a decent price. I get yogurt and snacks here a lot.

Prices are competitive, but not that much cheaper. The store is always clean and staff is friendly. If youre looking for common items, this is a great alternative to the busier, larger stores.

Cheap good produts

This is my favorite supermarket around here, the staff is helpful and I can find most of the staples at a good price. Besides there is always something new like dried figs, protein bars etc. And they are good quality.

I find this store has friendly staff and is kept very neat as opposed to another store that is closer to me. I prefer not to have to sift through things or have to navigate narrow aisles so I drive the extra ten minutes.

Good place to pick up junk food

I really like the grocery outlet, they have outstanding prices. The only small problem I have with them. They dont always have what you need to complete a meal, when youre in a rush. Say for instance youre making tacos for dinner. They always have meat, tortillas, cheese, sour cream produce like lettuce, tomatoes but they might not always have the taco sauce. which means youll have to go to another store to purchase taco sauce. thats just a small example. the same thing applies if youre making lasagna or spaghetti one of the items wont be in the store.I forgive them there so hard-working and they stayed open to the pandemic so customers could buy food. I love the grocery outlet and the reason Im giving them four stars is because of the TACO SAUCE.😂

Ive been to most GOs in the bay area at one time or another. This place is HUGE (see my posted pic) Always very clean and isles are very wide, which makes it easy to get passed others in the isle and get to the bargins better. Has more items then most GOs Ive found and right near to freeway and bus lines for weekend shopping . My favorite out of all of them.Very helpful staff.

Spacious grocery outlet with enough open cash registeres to make your check out experience smooth. Did not see enough hand wipes/sanitizers at the entrance.

Did a quick run to get some food and bought a bottle of wine for cooking. After showing my ID card. The Clark asked me to remove my mask to further identify. I complied because I didnt want make a big deal and was comfortable with it. However, I dont think everyone would be comfortable removing their mask during this health crisis of covid-19. Management should be making changes to their policy on ID check and Mask. This 1 star was given to the manger at grocery outlet. Not the Clark.

There are several Grocery Discount Bargain Markets in the Bay Area. Each is family run, and this one is the best of the three Ive tried.Stock is generally overstock, with more foreign brands than the major chains. Prices can be half the price of the major grocery chains. We shopped there today and found everything we wanted. Their selection of fresh produce is somewhat limited, but in good shape and very affordable. Meat is the same way. Having shopped there for over a year, weve got various favorite deals that we look for there. Savings are substantial. There is usually an item or two that we cant find. I dont remember seeing Kleenex or spray air freshener today.If youre older like me, and grocery prices have you in shock, GDBM might be a great solution for you.Staff is friendly and helpful.

Great place to shop if you dont need a specific thing. The customer service is wonderful, I have never met one of the employees who wasnt nice and very helpful. A couple of them also remember me and my family since we come in so often. The store is always very clean and organized. They have great deals on not just food, but also simple clothes and shoes. I come here often to look at the deals on the random things they offer.

It was ok. They a variety of items from shoes to dairy products. Selection is limited. Prices were ok. Small version of a General Store. Pleasant staff, pretty clean. Ok parking.

Stock up on deals you like before they run out- they may not be restocked at all again or you may be a waiting a while. Set alerts to receive WOW notifications that are special pricing youll see first. Specials and discounts are also posted and provided through their social networks on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Make sure to look at and save receipts that can have discounts for your next visit.

I tried to get the one thing I wanted for lunch, a spinach salad. I grabbed a basket instead of a shopping cart to limit my purchases. It didnt work. Some deals are just too good to pass up. 4 pkgs (24 cookies each) bake &serve for $0.98. I dont think I will ever be able to get only the item(s) I need.

This grocery outlet has great customer service and a good selection of products. I enjoy the health food section as well as the cheese section. They also regularly have good deals on produce. I dont typically buy meat from here but they also usually have sales on the meats.

Wouldnt go there for the produce. It is usually a hit or miss. But if you are picking up things, make sure you check the expiry dates on them. Any produce you pick, make sure you pick ones at the back. You will be surprised to see how many times you find the fresh ones showed at the back.

I have no idea why.... But the store doesnt smell good. Vegetables and fruits are definitely cheap and they dont look fresh at all. I could clearly see molds on blueberries.

Grocery Outlet...I can NEVER go in this store without leaving with a ton of GREAT Bargains especially the health and beauty products and snacks they dont have much for meat but you can count on finding everything else you might need but also Keep in mind they DONT always carry the same product.., Every week it changes some items are New and some items are Gone....But, I gotta tell I ESPECIALLY LOVE the $0.49 deals when I see those Deals of the day I Buy in Bulk you may never get that Deal again and let me not forget the employees they are Always very friendly and if you become a Regular Shopper by your fourth shopping trip Im almost sure of it that they will Remember your name and one last thing that I really like is Grocery Outlet must be a Great place to work because they DONT have a High turnover... This supermarket has great selection of fresh food, ethnic and organic as well. Good price and outstanding services.

I like this store for the rare organic options at really affordable prices. When you shop at grocery outlet and other discounted grocery store you need to understand the products (produce and meat) are close to expiration date and are not the freshest so buy at your own risk. I usually only pick up things like frozen food, dry goods or baking goods. Theyre clean and usually organized in a way that you can easily find things.

Just wished they were about consistency in products. But guess thats the whole idea of the outlet stores ... Overstocked items ? Right ?

If yor in a hurry and just need some basic stuff that you forgot at a real grocery store, than its great !They barely have any ptoduct, lots of alcohol choices though . The best thing is the check out people get you rang up and out of there fast .

Shop at the store for many times. For most times I can find grocery I want to buy, at lower price. Except for some fruits and vegetables, most are satisfying. Some may be close to expiration date, but none are out of expiration date actually. Clerks are always friendly.

Milpitas is the nicest of the Grocery Outlets in the South Bay. Lots of organic and natural foods choices and wider aisles make for a pleasant shopping experience. Today I spent $47 on groceries and SAVED $47 AS WELL!! Take that Safeway! Dont need some stupid club card either.

I ran to this store few times only because its the closest grocery store. However, the produce is not fresh and some items are already expired.. So if you got to shop here just make sure you read the package. I understand the prices are lower, but safety and health is first.
