Veggies are fresh and reasonably priced. Availability of meat and fish is an added advantage.
The place is located with 2 other business I which is fine. There is not a lot of parking space available. The store itself seems like a small one at the front but they are actually not too big when you start to look for things. They do have a nice selection of items which one can find in other stores as well.
Although the overall store is OK (still lagging behind other Indian stores), the behavior of the staff/s at the meat section is very bad. First of all, no Indian staff at the store, all Latino (not sure whether we can still call it Indian market). Further, I wanted to have multiple items at the meat section, but before completely listening to me, the staff gave the first item I asked for and while I was asking for other items, he refused to give and told me to go back to the queue again! I am not going to such place again.
Overall it used to be very good store for quick grab of Indian groceries as well good meat and over the years and months the hygiene and quality of products have drastically reduced and poorly maintained inventory. Here are some bad experiences— expired groceries are still being sold ( poorly audited inventory ). Beware and check them. As sometimes milk or yogurt from here expires few days than on the mentioned best by date.— all of the frozen spoil soon and real bad as they are not properly temperature controlled.— Lastly the meat is of good quality, but hygiene and the way the butchers cut them is really unhealthy—especially with no gloves on.It would be nice if the store properly audited and maintained well so that it comes back to the way originally it used to be.Hence people purchasing here, please be cautious and buy.Hope this helps.
They dont have price tags of the items. Sometimes they have price tag but while paying they will charge more. If you complain, they say this is price in their computer available. If you specifically show that other places are cheaper, they smartly say to go there and buy. Very rude in behavior.
Authentic Indian foods and condiments they are very nice and friendly
The store has served me for more than an year. They have the best country chicken and goat meat.In store service is much better now.
Very congested inside. It feels suffocating when its crowded. Meat is kinda ok.
No precautions to maintain social dustancing due to conjusted space and delays due to lack of staff, specially at meat section
I have had at least 3 instances whereas the guy in the billing counter behaved irrationally and shown his rude behavior. I have been going to the store regularly since its open. I had 2 diff items in a bag and it was billed as one. When I said did you differentiate the items and weighted he was shouting on me and asking why didn’t I keep the 2 items in 2 separate bags! Really???????He needs to learn the basics of customer service. I would like to speak to the owners however couldn’t find the contact details yet. Appreciate if anybody reaches out to me so that I can provide more feedback for improvement.Giving one star for worst ever customer service.
Pros- If you are in hurry and don’t want to be in the long queue then this is the go-to store for you all. Though you have Limited choices of stuff as compare to New India Bazar, Milpitas but honestly everything is fresh. We normally buy our whole chicken and fresh vegetables from Indian Market.Cons- For some items the Prices are littleBit higher esp: if you compare with the prices of New India Bazar.
I stopped going here because bad returns policy and little bit expensive than neighboring new India bazaar
It’s good place you get dry groceries and vegetables and meat at same places and less crowded compared to new India bazar
One stop for both vegetables and meat.I drop by every 2 weeks to get chicken and every week for vegetables.
Good selection of meat. Vegetables are not fresh compared to other Indian stores nearby.
Its good but not great for vegetables... For Other items its superb....
Lot of variety but some of the vegetables are not fresh
Not sure even if they have interest in the business. Nothing else to say
We need to check the bill before we leave the store they add extra items which we have not purchased.Vegetables are not that fresh.
Best in price and quality. They sell fresh cut halal meat.
New Indian grocery store opened on Main Street. Has spacious car parking lot. Seemed same price as the new india bazaar down the road. But this store is new and much less crowded than the other one. Definitely a better option than the crowded new india bazaar for at least the time being. And yes, they also sell fresh meat.
Fresh veggies meat and seafood from India
Lots of choices and less crowded
Meat is good and have nice collection of vegetables and groceries ...
This place sells fresh meat and of pretty good quality. We often get fresh meat from this place. Also fresh vegetables are good here. Frozen Fish, Indian Sweets, rice, pulses are also available here. Pretty much a one stop shop.
The best part of this store is the music.
Compact indian store
Organization was neat and good.
The advantage of this Indian grocery place is, in addition to what you get in other Indian stores - They have Halal Chicken, Mutton/Lamb, Fish - fresh frozen, Liver etc .. One stop shop .. They also have a small fresh food kitchen but I think they are not continuously open.. Have found Indian veggies fresh .. So overall good go to Indian grocery store ...
All the Indian spices and snacks are good..
The guys here are frauds. One time I bought 6 pounds of bone in chicken here. When I checked it after going back home it was barely 4 pounds. I assumed it was by mistake. But the same thing happened to me the second time. Cheap tricks.
I have visited this place multiple times . Many ppl reported how they modify the receipt . I was not at the counter to get a item . After I reached home i saw an item was added . I feel it completely intentional .
Good for south indian stuffs and non vegetarians
Small space to manuever but good quality meat and fresh produce
Good one to buy indian grocessories
Nice shop, all commonly used Indian items are available, at a reasonable price.
Nice little Indian store. It is one block away from a really popular and busy another Indian store. They had a huge variety of stuff and prices are quite competitive.
Its ok small store compare India bazzar
Last week mutton mince was not good.
We have always gone to New India Bazar, which is right beside this place, however, had never entered Indian Market, until one fine day :DThis place always has relatively less crowd (I always wondered why) but the stock is very fresh. They also have a meat shop with a butcher inside. We bought chicken from there and its easily one of the best places for meat around Milpitas. They have Surmai steaks too which were very fresh (and much much better than Ranch 99). The vegetables are fresh.Weve gone there 4 times so far and always loved our purchase.
Did not go here. I went next door to LBC
Small place. Good selection of items. Can get crowded and cramped fast.
The store is very reasonable priced and have everything fresh.
Stay away from this store. I was in this store twice. While I was in the meat department I saw the guy packing the meat wearing the same gloves to grab the goat meat and the chicken (good way to get salmonella). Also, my last visit was during the shelter in place. At least during the time of covid-19 you would like to see that the businesses that are allow to be open are following the cdc guidelines well not this store. They are not disinfecting the shopping cars, they are not controlling the number of people inside the store. The store is small with boxes in the middle of aisle. So you want to do the line well you will have to go around the aisle that have boxes and full of people so not way to social distance in this store. Congratulations you are making money during the shelter in place and helping the community to get sick!
Great variety. You dont miss anything you get in India
Good variety of Indian groceries. They do sell fresh meat and fish. Reasonably priced, medium shop. Got most of the common vegetables.
Decent Indian grocery store, really impressed to see how they have stacked everything in such small place but manage to keep almost every grocery item any Indians shop for. Pluses include a meat station, frozen fish, organic eggs and biryani zone (decent, not the best to go food counter). Minuses would be that none of the rice bags are labelled with price, not all veggies are fresh though its much better than many other stores in bay area, even though you will find all indian grocery items you wont find varieties to choose from. In covid times, its very good alternative to long lines at neighboring new india bazaar for sure..
My first visit here and I am impressed! This place started 4 months ago and till date have maintained high quality vegetables. I was heading towards New India Bazaar and bumped into this and I am glad I did!
Place is compact. they have fresh meat (goat etc) there is a fast food setup inside for briyani etc. Parking situation is good for Sunday ☺ i visited. good to have competing businesses around.
Good place for Indian groceries
Its small but you can find most of the essentials. Beware of the expiry date of some of the items. Usually not crowded at all.
They have good fresh meat and they expanded
Lots of variety in a tight spot, but they really need to work on labeling their shelves/items with prices. Apart from the produce nothing seemed to have a price tag.
Love the food at biriyani zone inside Indian Market, friendly lady
Well stocked with all Indian grocery including Vegetables and packed items. Meat is available as well.
Well stocked Indian supermarket with an excellent selection of foodstuff and vegetables, mainly South Indian. Theres fresh meat and a good takeaway food counter to round it off..
Great service..has all you need and Calm place to shop...
Good for halal meat.. Goat was delicious. Little bit cramped but cheaper than neighboring Indian stores so makes the congestion worthwhile.
Quieter than most other Indian stores, clean, good variety of products and most importantly, decent and friendly staff.Very rarely we see poor quality or old vegetables.
Well stocked and fair prices make me go there again and again
This place is good ... Easier to find parking and has the same options as any massive store. It does have fresh cut meat as well as a small place to get takeout food
Great place to get groceries.
Horrible staff
Theres no Rush and very clean store. All the groceries available there. I like it.
Clean, quiet, and they have pretty much everything other over-crowded nearby markets have. Veggies and meat are fresh and staff are kind. New favorite.
Closes at 9PM. Update it
Please don’t buy Goat meat here they mix with Lamb meat. Don’t fall in their trap.
There is a small kitchen in there. I love their biriyani, chicken 65 and puffs.
Meat is very good and vegetables are fresh
When I called them to check if they have a specific fish they replied that I have to visit the store and check that out myself even after I told them that I have to drive 20miles.I responsible customer service!!
Though the timings on maps show that it is open till 9:30 pm but it was closed when we went at 9pm
Never buy the Fish korrameenu from this store, rotten smell. Be aware and make others aware.
Hiked up prices post lockdown, they dont leave an opportunity esp in these dire situations
Nice alternetive for Indian groceries in Milpitas. Collection ia not as extensive as in New India Bazaar but prices are lesser for some items. Sometimes veggies are fresher too.
DO NOT buy goat meat. It was all lamb meat. What a shame! Never buying goat meat at this place again.
Very good collection of both vegitables and non veg items
Very good store for fresh meat cut to order.
Nice shop, not a lot of grown. But sometimes you dont get what you are looking for.
New place so fresher products, no wait time for billing. Fresh produce.
One of the Indian grocery stores that is not as crowded as the others in the area
Small place not crowded
Indian grocery. Has all the essential stuff
Lots of variety, prices are extremely reasonable, wonderful service.
Very slow billing :(
Fresh and fast moving meat available here.
Very helpful and soft spoken staff
👋
Nice new indian grocery, with hot snacks
I’m regular customer here. I never had any experience like here. I got some expired items, I don’t know what’s wrong with this guys. I asked them to why it’s happened here, then I got reply do what ever you what.
Get all the Indian stuff
Hard pressed for space. Cramped aisles. On the flipside, you find most of the groceries and staples here. And most of them are quality items. Although the checkout experience could be a little better.
Very congested.
Comparatively well organized
Best prices in vegetables.
Thanks to Indian Market. All Indian grocery you can get here. .
Mostly Indian grocery.good neighborhood shop
Newly opened, fresh vegetables!
