My dealership was too busy so they sent me to Ruby Isle for some warranty work. They got me in the next day for an appointment. I ended up having to leave my car for more diagnostics, they actually took the time to explain to me what they needed to do and why. Then paid for an Uber home! My repairs took about a week but they got a lot of work done and a rental car paid for by my warranty! I am very happy with Ruby Isle and will definitely be back! They are a very busy place but they did an awesome job and actually care!!
If I could give ZERO stars I definitely would. They took almost 2 months to fix our Jaguar and they still didnt fix everything that needed to be repaired. I will NEVER go here again

I took my car there for a warrantied air conditioning repair and to fix a headrest that wont lock in an upright position. They were supposed to assess the problem the morning that they received my vehicle, contact the warranty company, get authorization to do the repair and then call me back for permission to begin work. I had to call them, numerous times, to find out what was happening with my vehicle after they failed to meet the two to three hour window they told me was required. By the time I got any answers they were preparing to close for the day so I wound up going without a vehicle for the night. The next day, they were supposed to call by 9:00 a.m. and did not. I called them at 11:00 and they claimed that the warranty company still had not authorized the repair. With a holiday weekend approaching, I retrieved my vehicle and told them to call me when the work was authorized and we would schedule a time for me to return my car so they could repair it. Several days went by and I heard nothing. I called them and they told me they were still waiting on authorization from the warranty company. After a week, I called the warranty company myself. They told me that Ruby Isle never contacted them or requested permission to begin the work. I called Ruby Isle back and asked them if they had contacted the warranty company and if they had taken any action whatsoever to get authorization to do my repair. I was told that it representative would call me back later in the day, after they researched what had happened. It has been 2 days and they still have not called back.Clearly they dont need my business, nor care about it. They probably wont care about yours either.I have never once in my life seen a business so careless about their customers.

All I can say is I will refer John and his crew to EVERYONE!! Claims adjuster wanted them to piece out my engine… John called regularly and kept me updated on protocol. In the end it was as simple as a compete engine flush and change of oil because the previous techs (at a major Cadillac dealership) had overfilled. Thankful for Ruby Isle!!

Very poor customer service. Have had my vehicle for a month already sitting blaming it on the warranty company. They have plenty of customers vehicles awaiting to be repaired some I know of have been there for over a year...
At first we had a communication and time problem but they had to be good of service for me to come back. I believe to have found a new shop home. They are great, get me in and out and I don’t have to worry about being tricked out of my money.

They took me without an appointment, fixed my tire, did my emissions, gave me the sticker and got me on my way in less than one hour. Smart and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
I was told there was a good chance they could fix my broken sunroof. The technician was gone for about 15 minutes, then he came back, and told me there was nothing he could do. They charged me $64, +7 dollars for materials. I don’t know what could have costed seven dollars being that he was gone 15 minutes and did absolutely nothing. They are definitely not sunroof experts. The bill came out to over $75, and it was a complete waste of money.
Had a slow leak in my tire and through a referral I visited Ruby in the past for tires so I called right away. Jennifer was able to order my tires and told me I could bring my car and keep it there overnight and it would be serviced before 10a and it was. I plan to go back and get my 2 other tires in the very near future.

I have gone here for many years! But this last issue was big! My suburban was dropped off there. They had it for 3 days. They said we needed a new battery & my alternator was bad. My mother in law helped us for paying for it. It was over $800, so she paid for it. Ok they drove my truck over to the shop. My husband went into the truck & when you start your car you step on the brake to put in gear. The kettle went down to the floor! How did he get to the shop without noticing anything! Really! My mother in law had it towed somewhere else. They said never take your car there for anything!! Ever

I will see about giving more stars if they complete the work on my car. They fixed everything but the main thing I came in for. I dont like that they dont show you the work they are doing before doing it. Just because they show you codes doesnt mean they fix it. Plus Im having problems I didnt have before. Such as my car is starting to overheat and I smell something burning. What? I dont know. I was happy whe% I get in and it wouldnt stay started. I hope they fix the problems tomorrow people . Without asking for more money. I hope to let yall know tomorrow. Stay tuned!

I took my van for diagnostic and was told it was the crankshaft position sensor. A $75 sensor, but the price to install it was going to be ~$800. Are you serious? talk about price gouging! I told them I needed the work done asap, I guess this was the signal for them to charge me almost 3-times the normal rate for something like this.By the way, I declined to do the repairs and was charged $160 for what probably took them 5-10 minutes diagnose!!I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!

I had gotten a flat tire on my day off I called them and had a 30 minute wait to just get told if it was fixable or not. Everything was explained to me throughly and they made it happen under 2 hours even though they had a full house. Would highly recommend

They were absolutely amazing from the ladies at the front desk to the repair man Donny, who was great about walking me through pricing, timing of how long my vehicle would be with them . Letting me know what the problem was and it turned out to be a Gas leak and the problem is now fixed and I would recommend them to anybody. Great job guys

Went in for a emission test. Waited a whole hour just before they took someone else that just walked in. 4 people knew I was waiting on a emissions test but still took the other person first. I advise to bother them until it gets annoying. Otherwise youll be waiting for service.

Went here to get the ball bearing issue fixed with m car. I was given a $$$ pricey estimate and was told that it was the best price for that job. They told me that they were using premium parts and they would not be able to give me any better price. They offered slightly lower price but for cheaper parts. I countered that I was getting a better deal at the dealership which would guarantee genuine parts. Moments later they reduced the price and that too with the premium parts.It made me uncomfortable and wanted to leave. They asked me to pay $75 just for taking the car in the so I had to go ahead for them to fix it. A few minutes later the manager came and said that the sensor will need to be changed since it is old and that will be extra $$. I argued why they didnt tell me beforehand in their estimate but to no avail.They gave me an estimate of 2 hours but two hours later they said it will take another 2 -3 hours since the new part, ball bearing, they put was defective and they are putting another one.During this wait period there were a few customers and I made a peculiar observation. To every client that walked in the door to get their car looked at they mentioned the same sensor, and told them that the sensor could be damaged and they will have to replace it, which will be at an extra cost. This was really funky and suspicious.In all it took 5 hours just to replace the ball bearing.Im never going there. Please be advised and be careful!
This shop really got under my skin, $700 really for a starter on a 2001 Mercedes!! They don’t like black people my car was perfect before I gave it to them I was just having a starting issue once I got it back.. The battery was completely shot and now I’m having a bad tune up idle issue never had a problem until I left my car here for 3 days smh beware of this place Shady Employees don’t care and the person broke my hood latch instead of calling me, asking how to open
This is my second car that has been fixed at Ruby Isle‘s.. I want to thank JOHN he has done all he can to help my car run again. I have a 2010 Volkswagen CC sport took over a month for my car to be repaired not their fault, but Carmax fault they Sold me a Bad used lemon, & made their third party deal with the issues..got the car at 62k Timing chain broke at 72k I’ve been so upset about my car through Covid 19. Carmax went around the whole engine 3 times just for my car to be overheating at this point no I don’t want to give it back!! I went a whole month and a half without my car Now if it sits and runs it over heats and my AC blows completely hot I didn’t have AC issues before I gave them my car... I want to give John 5 stars because he really did everything he could To Get this VW up & running... thank you Ruby isles My stress is over!!! No more crying I have my car back

I’m a Mechanic, and I go here. These are Certified ASE Technicians, and they earn their living. I’ve been taking all my vehicles for everything and anything to Goodyear for 40 years! This time- they re-built my entire brake system on my 17 year old baby, in one day! And it runs like New! No surprises, as quoted, faster than ‘On Time’, Courteous, Kind, Fun, Professional, but most of all- Expert! For all the ‘Whiners’- You take your junk there after you beat it up for years, you wanna know Exact Cost in minutes, and you complain ‘it’s too expensive’, or worse. A quote is a quote, not a contract, and any mechanic who can predict the future, or read the past to know what you did to it, would be working in the stock market, not on your car. They aren’t psychologists, priests, or fortune tellers- that’s your game. To the guy that played the ‘racist card’ here- you’re not even an animal, go find a bridge to live under.

I went in for an oil change and it was a great experience! My car has been running rough for a while, which I didnt tell them because my previous shop told me nothing was wrong. Ruby Isle did their standard systems check and diagnosed the issue immediately. My car runs like NEW again! They go above and beyond with their customers. I am very thankful I found them!

Horrible Experience. This company has lied to me pretty much all week and has been giving me the runaround about my vehicle. I had my car towed to Ruby Isle on 07/31. Today is 08/07. Ruby Isle told me what was wrong with my vehicle and submitted a claim on Monday 08/03 & told me an inspector from my warranty company is coming out to assure the problem is what Ruby Isle informed them on. Well on 08/06 I called Carmax to speak with a service tech or manager so that they could call Ruby Isle and see what progress was being made on my vehicle because they werent keeping me in the loop. The service tech placed me on hold for about 5 mins and contacted Ruby Isle. She then came back to the phone and was like Great news, looks like your warranty company is covering everything and that I can provide you with the information you need to get a rental Vehicle. I then contacted Ruby Isle personally to see when should everything get going and when should it be done. The lady on the phone told me, Hey Ill have John contact you tomorrow with a timeframe. Only for John to contact me this morning and say Hey, were still waiting on the inspector to come out and look at the vehicle. Keeping in mind, I was told the day before that they had an approval. Well when I asked John what was the approval number he then said he threw it away because of some bs the warranty company said. Which was hard to believe because anything the warranty company does, it has to be documented. And then its like you throwing away an approved claim number is like throwing away YOUR MONEY ITSELF! RUBY ISLE HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETELY TRANSPARENT WITH ME. Carmax has a recorded line where theyre able to give proof that this shop was only telling me my claim was approved to keep me from calling because they havent been keeping me updated on anything with my warranty and vehicle. I pretty much called them everyday this week to see exactly what was going on with my car. They never contact me. Its always me leaving a message for John to get back with me. My claim with my warranty still has no determinations because Ruby Isle refused to reach out to me to get authorization to remove my oil pan. My service was discriminated. Ive had to have my car towed to the actual dealer because of the way I was treated. Kayla at the front desk has a VERY NASTY attitude as well. I DONT RECOMMEND. This problem is so big that I had to report it to the 3rd party company, Repair pal which is now being looked into by upper management. Indeed it does not take a week to submit a claim, and drop an oil pan. This company just wants the money and dont care about the wait that the customer has to go through. Theyll push you to the side for as long as they can if you have no problem with it. As well as THEY ARE VERY PREJUDICE! One of the mechanics told me, I could have my car removed from the facility and that he didnt really care as far as my complaint went. I was never in the loop with this Mechanic, Ive only dealt with JOHN. I want to say the Mechanics name is Steve. Very very nasty selfish guy.
This place has helped me out so much! I dont know much about cars but these guys took their time and walked me through the problems ive been having with my car. Then helped me figure out a plan to get it running good ASAP! I will definitely keep coming here!! So happy I found a trustworthy mechanic and people who actually care about their customers!!!
I went in for a wheel alignment. They told me that I also needed tie rods, which I allowed them to change because it had been five years since I replaced them. The wheel alignment was done POORLY. It was pretty clear that the tech did not know what he was doing nor did he test drive my car when he was done. He then told me that I needed front and back brakes and calipers. I got my front and back brakes done less than a year ago! Nice try! Beware of Donny Nowak and Kyle Schmitt!
They saved my life not once but twice a yr ago and today they have help me out of a jam. Corey and makayla are great friendly and they had no problem getting us in at the last minute which was 10 minutes before close that is the best service I have had at any tire shop in Milwaukee WI. Broken plug stuck in cylinder head of Ford Transit Connect van. Mechanic worked over the weekend to get the repairs finished after telling them I needed it back asap. Very pleased with the work and professionalism not to mention the great customer service. Milwaukee needs more mechanics like this!

Ruby Isle Auto is a shop I would personally recommend to my closest friends and family. The staff is incredibly helpful and honest. I had taken my Mazda to 3 different shops to figure out why my check engine light kept coming on. They all “took care “ of the problem but my check engine light would come back within a week. I took my car to Ruby Isle Auto and they permanently fixed the problem at a reasonable price. Thanks a lot guys !
We were out of state, had run over something and one tire was rapidly loosing pressure. My car limped to their store 19 minutes before their closing on a Saturday. There were three customers ahead of me but they agreed to take me anyway. They stayed an hour past closing and patched me up to safely get me home. It meant the world to my wife and I because alternatives included hotels, rental cars, hours of extra driving, etc. Throughout the stresses of juggling last minute customers at a time when the employees weekends should have begun, the staff was beyond courteous. THANK YOU!

I was very happy with the tires it was a great price for a pair of used tires mounted & balanced but I wasnt happy with the technician not telling me a stud busted and when he almost dropped my truck off of the hoist it bent in the lower part of my bed where the exhaust tip is mounted up. So thats why I gave it 1 star otherwise it was 5 star like I said I was very pleased with the tires.
Honest and knowledgeable Auto service. Ive been using them for all maintenance on my vehicles. I was truly impressed when I saw them help a little old man with a problem on his old car. They fix the problem in a few minutes and send him on his way with no charge.
I had to get about $1500 done which sucked... I got my car back in a day and a half (had some engine work). But thankfully these guys got my baby working perfectly again
Very disappointed, As a consumer, like most I rely on others for certain tasks to be done. If I come to a shop, its most likely that either I have an issue that I cant personally attend to or is beyond my scope or abilities. Understanding that some things take time I try to exercise a level of patience but recently I find myself being given the run around. I came to this shop as a return customer and the first thing I did was inquire if they were able to work on my turbo vehicle, I was quickly assured that they could address whatever my issue was ( the replacement of a waste-gate solenoid, an easy fix if you have the part) I also had inquired about the installation of an aftermarket part that I had and was told that would be no issue. Its to my dismay that after explaining the issue and showing photos of what was needed I got my auto back without the original problem being taken care, so I find my pockets lighter (to the tune of $200) and I still dont have my auto repaired. Things happen I fully understand this, but even after re-explaining the issue, showing photos (yet again) they call me to say the parts are in, only for me to find that they ordered the wrong parts ( this is why I showed photos, to prevent this!). Now after being told on numerous occasions that I will receive a call back ( which I never do/did, this is not how you maintain a proper customer relationship) I call only to get the feeling that Im being blown off yet again. If a customers business isnt worth your time then you should tell your customers so they can avoid any hassles (this is now in its 3rd week and I consider this a major hassle) and go to where they can receive proper, prompt service! Figuring that Id try one last time, I called yesterday (1Nov18) only to be told that the owner/manager John wasnt available but would return my call on my issue within 20 minutes, well its now the next day (224 hours later) and still no phone call, not the way to retain your client base. I had been holding off on posting this, in the hope that I could get my vehicle in and fixed, but now I see that I have wasted not only my money but my time as well.

This is a shop with friendly and honest staff. I have had a lot of work done here on multiple vehicles and I always feel very well taken care of. I wish the parking lot was a bit more organized.
Had an alignment done and about 6 to 8 months later I noticed the inside of my right front tire was worn down badly. I used to be a mechanic so i recognized the symptoms of a bad alignment. Upon inspection of my truck i found the bolts on the right upper A arm were very loose and the tie rod end was not seated and the cotter pin was in the castle nut. This destroyed my tie rod and required replacement. Also the jam nits were loose on the left side tie rod. Worst alignment job EVER i will never trust this place again or ever go back there
Call last week to get an estimate. was told technician will call me back.never did, try to do it online and get a appointment but their hours does not matches with my work hours. never got a call back.
Took my daughters car in for an estimate that came out to $500. I scheduled to get it fixed and than was told after I had dropped it off that they gave me the incorrect estimate. The mechanic that looked at it before missed an issue. It was now going to cost $1300.00. Dont take your car here. The mechanics dont sound like they know what theyre doing.
Staffmember and owner not honest, they will lie to you about emissions testing only to charge you some ridiculous price for made up job, trust me you never going to be able to take car there for anything and come out clean
Mechanics are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful! As a single mom I was tired of going to the GMC dealer and getting ripped off. John and his staff are 110% honest, something you dont find very often these days!I see them sponsoring community sports teams, and truly helping their customers. I cant recommend this company enough! They are very competitive in their pricing and in no way shape or form try to rip you off.SO happy to have an honest mechanic...for life!!!

I recently moved to the Milwaukee area a few days ago. I visited auto parts stores that couldn’t assist me in removing, two screws that broke in my license tag holes when replacing my tags. Fed up with the issue I randomly stopped by Ruby Isle Auto & Goodyear seeking help. The service clerk Donny and repairmen Dani assisted me brilliantly in getting my issue resolved with excellent service. I’m greatful for their help Ruby Isle Auto has a loyal customer in me moving forward during my time in Milwaukee. It’s rare to find this kind of service today. Blessings!!!
One person there seems nice but the rest are snobbish. Parking lot is way too crowded, no room. I had an appointment, when I got there, they said they arent doing any appointments that day. Mind you, I made that appointment the week before for this day. They just looked irritated and didnt care that they wasted my time and I left. It was for a check up on my car, takes 15 minutes or so. I ended up going to Midas instead and they were super nice there! Much more professional.
Ruby Isle Auto has done AMAZING work for me. I have a 2004 Ford Focus that their team has helped me maintain and repair as needed and thanks to them I think its safe to say that my vehicle will make it to 300k miles no problem!

Been here twice now and both times I was very satisfied with the service and price. Most recently I went in for repair of a hole in my exhaust.
Big ripoff shop. Went in to get a check up on my car because it was leaking oil below the engine and I dont where its from. So I told the counter guy I needed a mechanic to take a look and we can go from there. I already told them its leaking oil below the engine, they shouldve expected that its oily below the engine (since they are the professional). Then they came back and tell me the same thing I told them. Below the engine is too oily and they cant figure where its comming from. They charge me $40 just to tell me that its oily below the engine. Then they even went on to offering to clean the oil for $100. I paid the $40 and took off. Never going back again.

If you are black, I repeat I you are black do not go to this place. My car was running good, I just took it in just to get a check up and possible repair and they broke stuff on the car to get me to waste money. They must think Im stupid or something. They had the car for a week and then broke stuff intentionally. Their business will be cursed because they rip people off. They do not have a single black, Latino, Asian or anything working here. For your cars safety go somewhere else. I didnt even make around the block in a car I have been driving for 2 years.
