By far the the worst experience Ive ever had at at an Ace occurred today at this Martens store. Incompetent and rude do not go far enough to describe the horrible service i was treated to. Should change the jingle to Ace is the place with the idiot hardware men. With these clowns in charge Im sure internet sales will continue to grow.

This isnt a hardware store, its a What Not shop. They fixed my vintage Stihl chainsaw that I thought was dead forever. 72 runs like new. So impressed with this place.

Stuff has a reasonable price, most of the staff are kind, and they have good stock. But one of the employees behind the counter is very rude.

I have been going to the hardware store for years. They have never been anything but helpful and kind. Their prices are in line with the big box stores, in most cases I have found that Martens is cheaper.Most important however is their knowledge. If you have a problem, they actually know how to fix things and what you are talking about when it comes to multiple problems in your home. From electric to plumbing, from ceiling to floors, I would not go anywhere else.

Just updating 2021 - still great place for hardware needs and helpful advice on new jobs. Original 2020 :One of the last old school hardware stocked with the lower volume hardware items and tools big box stores ignore. We rely on for hardware and supplies used to repair and make equipment for our production line. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable finding what you need or pointing you in the right direction. During peak mower and snow season sometimes wait for help, only because they seem to take the time and patience to walk customers through their new machine showing them how it works. Not something you often see at other stores. Its our first stop for pretty much anything before going big box down the street. Sometimes slightly higher prices, but when you need service it pays for itself.

When I walked into the store I asked for help and someone immediately came to help me I find this very rare and only will you find us at Martins true value hardware

If Marten is the guys always behind the counter he should retire

I waited at the customer service desk for 10 minutes. I walked by 2 workers in a aisle, one was stocking shelves, the other one was talking and drinking coffee. The coffee drinker Didn’t want to move as I came down the aisle. I wish I could give a negative star. Will never go there again.

We needed to get some commercial light bulbs, not household. These were either metal halide or high pressure sodium bulbs. Went here because it was close and was surprised that they had them. However the bulbs were at least 10 years old by the date on the price tag and the 1/16 of dust covered the packaging. They do offer a 10% discount which I got. However they wouldnt give a bigger discount. I didnt think this was reasonable as the bulbs have been sitting on the shelves for a decade. No one was going to buy them if not for me if they have been sitting for a decade. A normal business would have just reduced their losses and gotten some good will from a customer that would come back in the future. I didnt like this thought process, and should go to a lighting specialist next time.

This hardware store has everything you need.Dare I say it is one of the few remaining old school stores of its type around this neighborhood? I said it... So hop to it and check it out.

I walked in, mower belt in hand, asked for help, was told isle 27, parts counter, I waited 10 mins, 3 guys up front, talking, I re ask for help, yea, well be there, without even looking at me, I had to guess, he was talking to me, guy in the black shirt. 2 white guys walked in, immediately, they all talk, laugh, and Im ignored, another 5 mins. I walked out.

Martens Reliable Hardware store once a valuable resource to the neighborhood is now just another example of a place that I cant afford. And thats sad as Ive been a customer for 30 plus years, O-well nothing last forever ...

By far, the best hardware store in the area. You can get everything here from a single screw to a snowblower or chain saw.

Awesome fellows helping me & laughing with me cause I left & went back in several times cause they have the biggest selections ever. I said Id be back again when I had 8hrs to look for more treasures.

Called for questions about simplicity tractor and snowblower, but Orlando this guy is a part of the sales and did very little help to answer my questions and rush me off the phone line because he had other customers to attend to?! Am I not a customer too that wants to look into buying a simplicity?!

I love this hardware store it has every thing I need and helpful people to make sure I find what I m looking for. They stand behind all thier equipment unlike big box stores that have a concrete garuntee that once its off thier concrete they garuntee they dont want to see it anymore ever again.
