I always enjoy shopping at Fred Meyers. They have most items for the home as well as a huge selection of natural, organic foods. I can usually pick up my favorite gluten free rice muffins in the freezer. Today I craved my favorite candies from childhood and I found some organic choices. The Yum Earth organic strawberry licorice has the perfect sweet and tart flavor. The texture is a bit hard but softens in the mouth. The Wholesome organic delishfish taste just like the real thing. Very yummy and soft, chewy.

I really wish I could do zero stars but I was forced to give one star. My wife just got home from there and stated an employee watched her struggle to get a 32 bottle case of water from the shelf to her c art. He didnt have a name tag but he wore a blue sweatshirt and jeans. She asked him twice for help and he ignored her regarding the cold case. Multiple employees walked past and did not assist both male and female. He apparently walked past her 2-3 times and offered no assistance. We love Freddys and are life long patrons I was trying to ask about heavy whip cream I finally stopped a female employ she didnt work in that dept the manager was down by the the doors that go in to the back were the cold cases are I was looking for heavy whip cream I wanted Alpenrose the cold case was really bare the Alpenrose section was empty of the cream the whole ordeal took over 15 min not even kidding she finally came back because she was trying to get a answer from someone I watched her ask him then she went in the back when she did come back she said there was cream in the middle of the case it was Fred Meyers brand in a big plastic bottle I didnt want

You can always count on the produce being fresh. I go to Walmart often and when I get their produce it’s usually never as good as Fred Meyers :(

I have loved Fred Meyers Since I was a kid...... I have Not been shopping there much Because of their higher prices.... But it seems that they have been more competitive lately...... so now I shop there more....

Weve been going to this place for about 10 years now, before their remodel, and it is always just been a regular store, whenever we needed to ask an employee about something theyve always been nice and responsive, Id say the remodel made it a little harder for us to find stuff but weve been growing used to it, recently when the power outage happened in the Portland area, you could see all of the employees actively working to preserve all the food that they could, in the time span that they were given and it seems like they are good hard-working people. Down below is a photo of what it looked like during the power outage this was almost for every single shelf in the store when we went there, however we could still find a decent amount of things.

The employees at this store work tirelessly every time I come in as this store is relatively compact and small yet very very busy. I like the way the store is laid out and enjoy smaller stores in the Freddys chain like this one instead of the megalopolis Fred Meyers or you damn near need a golf cart to get around. They are always well stocked and they have everything that youre looking for. I highly recommend this Fred Meyers they have great people working there.

You go all Freddys its all the same as the one across town . No text back and its a family shopping place wont stop shop makes it easy you can get gas two comes up peace Im out.

Anna in the Customer Service department is firmly attached to doing the bare minimum her job requires. Defensive, amateur, childish service. Bummer, because this was my favorite location 😏

On July 5th, I was feeling faint when I was shopping in the Oak Grove Meyer Store. I went up to an employee and told him I wasn’t feeling well. The employee, Andy, quickly had me sit down on a chair in pharmacy, while he went and got me a granola bar and gatorade. He asked if he should call the fire department as they were close. I declined as I was feeling better after drinking some Gatorade. Thank you Andy, for being so helpful and caring when I was feeling faint! Fred Meyer has an excellent employee in Andy!!

FM has always been my go to grocery store. You can always count on the produce to be top quality. And over the last 30 years, the employees have all been have been great; remember my name, even remember my kids names and all the details. Im a recent homeowner in Oak Grove; and somewhat disappointed in the Oak Grove Fred Myer produce department. I have found some of the produce people less than friendly and/or helpful. Example: I ask an employee stocking where the basil was located and it was if I was completely out of line asking him a question. When I found the basil there were two packages that were way moldy; so I asked if there was any in the back. With complete attitude and saying nothing to me he went into the back he threw the basil hed brought on the shelve without acknowledging me. All the basil was completely moldy. This is one example. I only review in hopes the criticism can be constructive.

Ive lived in OG nearly my entire life, and FM is my go-to grocery store. For the most part, things are good here. Most stuff is in stock, its clean, most staff are friendly. I dont like that they rarely have check stand baggers anymore. If they are there, they dont know how to pack a bag very well and things end up getting crushed and ruined. If they arent there, cashiers dont (at least not in any recent trip) bag as they go anymore. It then makes it feel like you have to bag your own groceries if you dont want to hold the line up for a long time. If I wanted to bag my own groceries, or to be made to feel like I should, I would be going to Winco where the prices are cheaper. I will likely start using self-checkout so I can go at my own pace and make sure things are packed appropriately.

Very nice grocery store, I prefer this Fred Meyer over almost all others. Unfortunately, this store does NOT have an electronics section, so I often have to make trips across town to a different location for any electronic needs. Head phones, charging cables, gaming accessories, and all camera or computer related accessories or devices will not be available at this location. Great produce, friendly staff, clean store. Never very busy.

After an entire year, this stores staff are still militantly anti-mask, and their customers will threaten to cut your face off for taking a picture of them refusing to wear a mask. I am at this point literally unwilling to enter this store unarmed, and am considering that maybe I should just stop paying a store that clearly would rather please right wing terrorists than take even minimal efforts to keep their customers safe.Its worth remembering that terrorists have been using this fred meyer, with staff knowledge and approval, as a base and meeting point when they go out to beat and mace people, for at least six years.Pictured: the woman who threatened to kill me.

The store is fine. The deli service is the same every time. Slow and nonexistent. I have never waited so long each time. It is the same. They all are so busy behind the counter and all the customers wait. I wrote this waiting for service from this deli. Piss pour service

Usually has exactly what we want. Friendly staff, good service. The produce is well taken care of and meats are always fresh.

Everything was good. Unfortunately two of the products that I went there for you didnt have them. There was no STD cards for my phone. Plus you were fresh out of Ken dolls

Its ok, however it is one of the lower rent Freddies... Yet still I go there as its the closest grocery store. While the store isnt their smallest, its also not even close to their larger, cleaner, fresher produce stores.

This is my favorite grocery store! It has basically everything at reasonable price and reasonable quality. They take good hygiene practices very seriously. i constantly see them disinfecting. They have a little bit of everything but I think everything is at least above average. They have excellent produce. I really appreciate the variety of diet foods and organic options. There are a lot of specialty items like keto foods, vegan, dairy free, sugar free, bobs read mill, foreign food items, wine selection.. their kitchen section has caphalon, kitchen aid.. some decent dishes and gadgets! The decor section is fun and updated often. They even have a good vitamins section with refrigerated probiotics! I could spend a considerable amount of time trying to give details about how great the store is! Its a one stop shop. I do almost all my shopping there then fill in the blanks with online shopping! The people at this Fred Meyers are really nice too.

I went to the home and garden center and a guy with a straw hat approached me and was so knowledgeable about his products I spent more money that day than my whole month prior. Thumbs up to home and garden, I believe his name was Bob. Good job Fred meyer for getting knowledgeable people.

I have been going to Fred meyers for around 70 years. It was a great store then; it had everything you could want at a good price. Then I would have rated it 5. Since it has been purchased by the big corporations it has gradually degraded. Lots of items have been removed! The pickup service sucks bigtime. I try to avoid going there. The paint and hardware is essentially gone. It is too bad that the stores have become too profit oriented; this months bottom line is all that counts nowadays.

I couldnt find the eggs in the dairy section but luckily I was gonna buy cage free anyway and the health food cooler had cage free eggs. The bulk section is reeeally limited and I get thats not the workers fault.. but I was hoping to find bulk popcorn kernels and did not. Nor did I find popcorn kernels in the health food section. Again I was lucky tho and found some organic kernels in the regular section. Everything was a great deal tho. Freddies has good prices. Good bang for your buck!! And friendly workers c:

I just did an instacart shop here. The cashier and the courtesy clerk both were very friendly and the gentleman in the bakery section was also very helpful in assisting me in finding an item. This store was also far better stocked than most other Fred Meyer stores Ive shopped at recently. Bravo!

Terrible customer service. Alright store if you never have to interact with the employees. If you ever need to return something, have a question on a product or price or want to use a bottledrop voucher then good luck to you!

Plenty of checkers on a Sunday. Store not too busy but some shelves a bit bare. Everyone was masked, both workers and customers, and carts were being sprayed and sanitized. This store is smaller than most Fred Meyer stores and selection can be a bit limited. Employees are friendly and helpful!

Greatest employees. System was down for insurance at pharmacy. I paid for needed Rx. When it came back on they processed a refund for me and I was able to collect it the next day. They go the extra mile.

Why are there literal lines of people through an aisle FOR SELF CHECKOUT. Only two registers being open is horrendous. Yo Kroger you billion dollar company spend some of that on giving your employees better coverage and significantly higher pay. This sh*t is ridiculous.

Sad this is my fred meyers. Theft has made our store bottom if the barrel. Other locations are much nicer, better quality, and better selection.

I really love shopping here but they closed the handicap single restroom and made a closet out of it. I guess they were having problems with people cleaning their self in it. I can not go into into the big restroom because I need help and my help is my nephew, but he cant go into the regular womens stalls with me.

Great store and a great location. Fred Meyer is just a great place to shop for the home. Produce is really good too. I miss the electronics department, but otherwise most everything I need for everyday home care.

Even these days they generally have everything I need. Produce is nice as well. Virtually all of the people are friendly and positive. Its not the closest store to my house, but its my go to for groceries.

Got a recall notice for a pressure cooker on my receipt that said to return for refund. When I went to return was asked if I had a box, said without the box he couldnt be sure if its the right one. Couldnt find it in my history since theres only 1 year of history. Left without a refund since they couldnt figure it out. Got a call from an assistant manager Nate and he said I needed to go through the manufacture. I said the receipt said to get a refund at the store. Said the receipt was incorrect. So I told him I called another Fred Meyer store and they have been doing refunds and have several that they have taken back. I mentioned that to Nate and he stood his ground that the receipt was wrong.

Drive up moved along well even though busy. Very outgoing young man. Was rather entertain. Drink great.

Had alright prices and a large array of products. However, it felt a little understaffed and disorganized. Had a great experience with an employee named Chase who helped me bring my groceries to my car.

My friend forgot his mask and the greeter at the door was quick to offer one so my friend didnt need to try and use the hood from his backwards hoodie...

Found everything that I needed. Clean and well stocked.

This Fred Meyer is great, but lately its non-stop busy. So many people all the time. I went to the online store and its got so many more products than whats on the shelves, I think thats my new primary way of shopping now. I still like the store but Id rather avoid such dense crowds

Big city store in a small town staffed by locals who know each other. This Freds feels warmer than others in Portland.

This Fred Meyer s has been pretty much the same as when I lived on oatfield Rd. While in highschool. Its always been good and has a variety of products.

Staff is great.but store itself needs a lot of upkeep and pest control!

It was great. I got a couple of excellent deals and fun place to shop.

So done with Freds. We got dinged for using our debit card which is supposed to be considered a cleaner method of payment. Not bad enough to require using their club card to get their prices and all the junk mail. Just done.

Customer service at this store has gotten pretty bad lately. The last time I was there it was a on a weekend and they only had 2 cash registers open. They have self-serve check out, but I refuse to use it. If I have to scan and pack my groceries they can pay me to do it or lower their prices. And not only that self- check out puts people out if work. If Fred Meyers is going to force me to scan and pack my groceries Ill shop at Winco they scan you pack and their prices are better.

The staff was extremely helpful. This was my first visit to the store and had to do a lot of wandering to find what I needed. The staff went above and beyond helping me find things. The Isles are a bit crowded but totally manageable.

Well laid out.Edit... had to change my rating, after shopping here for awhile Ive found, while the store itself is nice the customer service is severely lacking. Over the course of at least 10 visits, I find them Rude, unknowledgable. When i ask for assistance on the floor Im told sorry not my department and today while checking out the employee had a massive attitude. Possibly hung over? Bot coming back

Terribly aloof teenage line staff makes for awkward moments. Store entries are always dirty. Too often, sale items are missing, empty, or placed counter-intuitively. Store lacks character and is weak on customer satisfaction.

What a terrible experience. Ive been shopping here for awhile.after the last few pick-up shopping experiences with FM, Im never going back. I contacted them with a review to be contacted directly. Never heard back. Im not accepting their terrible service again. Goin to Safeway.

I am so disappointed in the click list option.. I have never used click list, but I have been shopping at this location for most of my adult life (7ish years). Today I decided Id check out the click list, I had a busy day and needed to get our weekly groceries, and thought it would be a good time to try it out. Around 1PM i ordered online and was told to arrive between 7-8pm. Perfect, I had time to finish my day. I arrived a bit early, and checked in. The parking lot was full and I watched as every order around me was filled. I waited patiently until I was the last car, and the young lady ran out to inform me that after waiting for probably 30 minutes, with my car running, that All the employees went home early and my order did not get done. She offered me a gift card, and to come back tomorrow to get my order. I informed her that I did work tomorrow and could not come back. She went inside, and informed me that I could cancel my order and get a discount if I wanted to use click list again. This was after the gift card offer. I informed her that this was my first time using click list and I was kind of upset and wouldnt want to use it again. I was still hoping to at least get a gift card for all my trouble. I understand it is not her fault so I went home and called to ask for a manager. I was directed to a PIC who said he could give me a $10 gift card. He did not care that I had waited, and now had no groceries. This all couldve been avoided if I just went and shopped for myself. The click-list seems like a frustrating waste of time. I now have no groceries to start my work week, and with the volume of my job I will not really have time to go again until next week. Thanks Fred Meyer.

Very clean and organized. Great prices, great selection. Much more than grocery, amazing selection of clothing, lawn and garden, furniture, back to school, hardware/ automotive. Little bit of everything you could be looking for.

Other than sparce picking on a few things, Freds is pretty much staying as my main choice for shopping.

No clothing,and it looks like a yard sale inside. Most cashiers are awesome. I prefer the OC location better selection and its cleaner.

This fred Meyer is a bit smaller than the one in Oregon City, though its not crowded in the evenings which is nice. Its kept clean and the staff are friendly. The locations of some items are not clearly marked though.

All stocked w food as The Storm moves closer. Am hoping others are doing the same ... Shelves are becoming MT, tonight/Wednesday.

Rented crutches from the pharmacy for my 5yo with a broken leg. Lady was super helpful and said i could get most of the money back when I returned them.Brought them back later and a different lady said they couldnt take them back because covid, and made sure to speak to me like I was the stupidest person in the store. Cant wipe em down with bleach, cant store em in a closet until later, just f*ck me because Im a giant idiot, right?

I felt as if I was a shoplifter and it felt that I was being harassed by the employees arebecause I didnt have a car at first and as I asked the employee to give me a cart she have two Puffs and then went and got a cart and brought it back to me instead theyre standing over me after I told her thank you and thats all its everything thank you she still stood there so I do not recommend shopping there if you can help it unless youd like to be treated as if youre a thief by the way that day I spent over$300

People are being very conscious of keeping their distance and wearing masks. The employees are doing a very thorough job of sanitizing all carts, baskets, and self checkout.

Clean and easy to find items needed

Went to customer service attempting to cancel a money transfer that hadn’t been picked up yet, and to do so I needed to recover the tracking number. I have all the information regarding the sender (me) and receiver, and I had just talked to a western union representative that instructed me to talk to the associate where I had made the transfer.The associates at the desk basically just told me there was nothing they could do to help me. They didn’t look on any computer, they didn’t call anyone. Just said “sorry, we can’t recover your tracking number.”Normally I would accept that and find another way, except I was just on the phone with a different Fred Meyer location, and that associate told me that they just needed to call western union to initiate a refund.So I’m not sure if those customer service associates were uninformed or just lazy, but regardless I am beyond irritated at the amount of my time they have wasted simply because they didn’t want to make a phone call

I went here to buy shoes for my daughter and found Nike’s on the clearance rack under a “50-70% off” sign. The Nike box said, “40% off”. When I questioned the customer service about receiving 50% off like the sign said, she stated that was just an example and that they range from 20-70% off. We asked to have the sign removed for false advertisement and she said that was the only sign they had to attract customers. If you ask me, very dishonest.

Fred Meyers Oak Grove is a mainstay. I have lived in this neighborhood for over 25 years and the bulk of my grocery shopping has been here. Its clean, well stocked. If you need a prescription filled they do it here and they have some clothing to fit the whole family. Not a huge selection but if you need something right away and dont feel like going to the shopping centers, its handy. They are great about accepting returns and for the most part all the employees are helpful and cheerful.
