This is a great spot if you love bagels, breakfast, and/or coffee! Very clean and open, seating is limiting due to COVID restrictions but that means plenty of places to stand! I did the Harvest on a Rosemary bagel with a Rosemary latte with caramel and it was divine! Picked up a few more to deliver and was told they were fantastic! I will be back to enjoy more!
Rise is an awesome spot with excellent bagels. Its super easy to order ahead online and they have a pretty good system set up if you need to order inside. On the weekends it is busy and parking can be tricky/they might run out of your favorite! I get a pretty plain order from them, but I dont need more because the bagels are so yummy!
Two weekends in a row have been here early on a Saturday and just love it! Both times ordered the Artisan sandwich on an everything bagel and a rosemary caramel latte - both exceeded my expectations. Very unique delicious flavors you won’t find anywhere else. Highly recommend!
Great bagels. I’m glad they’re back to their full menu. Coffees pretty good too. They have specialty coffees which are delicious as well. Usually pretty busy and they can sell out so don’t slack getting there.
First time we went and it was worth the wait in line and lived up to the hype. We could have probably been served faster by ordering online so we might try that next time. Also, as they say on their website they do sell out like every good bakery so Ill have to get there right when they open to try the rosemary bagel next time.
Cute place, no free parking. The Salmon Bagel Sandwich and the Artisan Bagel Sandwich were both pretty good. The Rosemary Latte and Mocha were okay. The service was kind and prompt. Their business is well maintained and in a beautiful area. Definitely worth a try!
Their bagels are fresh and very tasty! The black sesame latte was really good! Im definitely coming back!
The sausage, egg, and cheese bagel is amazing but are outrageously overpriced, and the staff are extremely disorganized. I would blame it on management as everyone is bouncing around between stations doing each other’s jobs and stepping on each other’s toes. If each person just stuck to their station, the only snag would be the price.
First time there. The staff was excellent very friendly. The bagel was outstanding highly recommended
So good, but if you get the salt bagel, do get something sweet or something to cut it. Loved it!! 😊
More hype than great bagels. It is good but I would not bypassing a Brugers to go here.
Wonderful atmosphere, kind staff, and they DO NOT mess around with how much cream cheese goes on your bagel! I will definitely be coming back
Amazing bagels. Highly recommend the artisan bagel. Online ordering is super smooth.
4.5 Stopped in for a quick breakfast, while staying at the Element. Bagels, toppings, were fresh and very high quality. HUGE piece of salmon, with my bagel. Very pleasant service. Dont currently have indoor seating, but the are some tables outside on 6th Ave. Only thing that wasnt great, was my coffee. May have been because we were the first folks that morning, by my coffee was really watery. But, if we lived in the area, wed be regulars.
Not a New York bagel (it’s a little less fluffy / doughy?), but still delicious, and great cold brew too! You can see them making the bagels in the back, they know what they’re up to.
Decent bagel. I made a special trip out to Minneapolis to try these bagels out. The bagels are well made and have a good texture. I had the everything bagel. The seasoning isnt super flavorful. The customer service was good. The woman who helped me gave me a sample of the vegan jalapeno cashew spread, which was enough for my vegan sausage and egg bagel. The sandwich was super pricey but good. For the dollar, I prefer St. Paul Bagelry. The bakers dozen is less expensive than Rise Bagels standard dozen, and they dont charge to cut the bagels, which they actually do by hand. St. Paul Bagelry doesnt have the vegan egg and sausage option, but for overall taste and value my money is on St. Paul Bagelry. If Im in the neighborhood of Rise and super hungry, Id get the vegan sandwich again, but I wont make any special trips just for the bagel.
Rise bagels is excellent, you will not be disappointed. Dont go in there looking for something other than bagels or a bagel sandwich, all they do is bagels (and drinks) and really well! One note to the owners, would really love some more sweet bagel flavors like blueberry or cinnamon raisin!
Ordered thru Door Dash. The smoked salmon on an everything bagel, along with a hazelnut latte. The sandwich was pretty decent. But I would say that the bagel itself was a bit too hard or tough for my liking. Made it more difficult to actually eat the sandwich than it should have been. Taste was nothing super amazing but it was decent like I said before. The latte, on the other hand, was outstanding. Beats any coffee shop Ive been to in the city as of late. I probably wont order them thru DD again because of the insane price ($25 for a bagel and a latte), but Id go in and check it out sometime if Im in the North Loop.
Bagels are ok, a little tough for my taste. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Best bagels in town, great service, and a very pleasant atmosphere! The breakfast sandwiches are amazing, and the Lemon Blueberry cream cheese is a must-have!
Im a month late, but better late than never! Rise is adorable and recently opened up by sisters from MN. Awesome design, atmosphere and of course bagels!! They offer organic bagels, 10 flavors of cream cheese, vegan cream cheese, organic spreads, all day breakfast with three specialty sandwiches, two open faced bagels that are fun, and three specialty lunch bagels. For drinks they have locally roasted coffee, organic hot tea, local soda, orange juice, Pellegrino, Coke and if you have a baby like me water for mixing formula bottles. Lol. I ordered the roast beef sandwich for lunch. It comes with arugula, caramelized onions, crispy shallots, and horseradish cream cheese. I ordered it because I skipped breakfast and wanted something a little more substantial. The staff is great and welcoming. It is very clean here. There is a ton of natural light that comes in the huge windows. This is a good place to meet friends, have a bite to eat, or maybe catch up on work. I highly recommend coming to Rise.
May well be the best bagels in the Midwest. I would put them toe to toe against most NYC bagel shops.
Had a bagel breakfast sandwich, it was great. I will be back to just try some toast bagels with cream cheese which is one of my favorites Im sure its going to be excellent as the bagel wasnt thick and chewy it was very tender
Simple black, white, and wood surface interior that offers simple menu as well. Duh: it’s about bagels. Friendly staff brought out our order promptly and conveniently wrapped for taking to-go. Porchetta with tomato and greens was a fine brunch hour flavor combo on an onion bagel. The Artisan offered classic egg and bacon sandwich territory, nice with an everything bagel. A bit overpriced at $7-9 apiece, with only a pickle spear as a side. On their own, the bagels didn’t carry as much flavor as I anticipated, but perhaps with the right cream cheese pairing they’d be just right. A great location for resting or picking up on your walk around North Loop area.
Very good bagels. Great atmosphere, will definitely go back. Would recommend ordering online if possible, saves a lot of time.
Excellent bagels, cream cheese, bagel breakfast sandwiches, and more. Gets busy but you can order online.
After standing for a 30 min wait (after ordering) one of our bagel sandwiches was cold. Wouldnt go back again. The warm bagel and the cold brew coffee was good.
Im sorry to change my rating, but recent experiences have not been good. The bagels recently have been thin, have had enormous holes which prevent making a decent sandwich, and have not been the least bit doughy. Theyve honestly been on par with or worse than store bought frozen bagels. This makes me sad, because I used to love you guys when I lived nearby.
Not too busy. Yet my breakfast bagel took a long time. And they got the order wrong. Very good ingredients, but the bagel itself wasnt anything special.
Amazing bagel sandwich, got the artisan. Just gotta remember to go earlier so I can experience the everything bagel. Rosemary coffee was great as well.
Rise bagel has quite the operations going on. Get the rosemary honey cream cheese. I can’t leave without buying an extra tub of it to take home.
Great environment with mediocre products. The bagels are not horrible but for the price, the quality is inconsistent and not great at its best.. Ive gotten cold tough bagels from here that taste day old more than once. The rest of the products are as expensive as one would expect for a cafe in the north loop. Service can at times be painfully slow for a restaurant that is assembling bagel sandwiches...
Great bagels in the North Loop. A coworker from NY also calls them the best bagels you can find in the Twin Cities. They also have good cold brewed coffee on hand, in case you need that with your bagel. Rise offers breakfast and lunch, with a number of schmears, including a vegan option.I enjoy the open-faced lox on an everything, but I dont think you cant go wrong.
The food here was really good. I had a turkey sandwich during lunch hour. Their menu looked like it had a good variety for people with different dietary preferences. There was plenty of seating and places to plug in if youre planning on working a bit.I am not sure about handicap accessible, but I am sure it is available somewhere in the building. The only downside was finding s parking spot anywhere near the building (N. Loop problems)
On the left is the Rise bagel and on the right is a St-Viateur bagel from Montreal. The rise bagel doesn’t even come close or could be compared to the Montreal bagel.St Viateur boils theirs in honey water and then bakes it in a wood fired oven.Rise is just a plain old bagel with too much baking soda. It’s a sandwich shop and not a bagel shop.Rise embodies what the north loop is, all style and no substance
BEST bagels in the North Loop! Great selection and fresh cream cheese tubs in a variety of flavors, as well as good coffee. They have some awesome bagel sandwiches made with fresh, local ingredients. The interior is a great spot to hang out, too. Its very clean and modern, a North Loop hipsters dream. Parking can be a little tricky, so be prepared for that.
The Artisan Bagel was amazing. Organic bagels - great coffee - wish I lived closer!
Best Bagels in the Twin Cities. Their everything Bagels and rosemary bagels are to die for. Perfectly chewy with a crisp exterior. Weekends are busy, but I used their order ahead today and it was ready to go when I arrived. Good regular coffee. Delicious sandwiches. I am glad the Harvest is part of the limited menu.Parking is a challenge, but worth navigating the neighborhood for these Bagels!
Shop here every week. Most affordable grocery, always something good - salmon, brats produce, cheese...
A Bakery called Rise that opens at 8? Apparently only for 9-5ers in Minneapolis Industrial district
Was my first visit. Very good everything bagel and cream cheese. I would skip their espresso drinks. One of the lower quality lattes Ive had
Never order online. Have waited over an hour for a simple order now twice. No apology or attempt to make up for it. Bagels are very good but don’t offer online ordering if you aren’t set up to do it.
Hipster bagel shop (Style over substance), the hazelnut brew I got for over $5 is so sugary that it can compete with an indulgent dessert. Bagels are just ok.
I showed up a few minutes after they were closed without realizing it and they not only still served me, they threw in some extra bagels!!! So so kind and so unnecessary. What great people.
Get the artisan bagel sandwich its the best breakfast sandwich Ive ever had
Expensive, bagels go fast, get there early.
Order ahead to make sure you get the bagels you prefer!
Very overpriced a cheese and salmon bagel with a cup of coffee cost me almost 17 dollars. The bagels are too small and the salmon was overcooked.
Hands down my favorite bagels in the Twin Cities!
Went at 10am and the bagels were very pale and flat and tough. I hadn’t been in a while but was expecting so much more.
Fantastic experience and food.
Hands down our most favorite bagel place in town!
They’re trying, but they need work on their timing. It took an hour to get my order of two bagel sandwiches the other day. Tasted delicious though!
This is by far the most overrated place in the North Loop. The bagels are way too expensive and honestly not that great. $18 for lox and coffee....only plain or poppy seed today, and the “lox” were chopped salmon from a can. Do yourself a favor and go to St Paul Bagelry, they’ve got way better food at a more reasonable price.
Bagels are very tough, just okay. Customer service is not good.
This bagel shop has the best cream cheese I have had any shop. Their bagels are fresh made and soft, perfect for toasting.
Very beautiful place when you step in. The bagel was delicious and Coffee excellent..The staff were very friendly and courteous...
Excellent food. The prices are to be expected, reasonable considering the quality. Nice staff. Good service. Chill vibe. Can get busy during peak hours, but wait is never unbearably long
The bagels are great! My only criticism is that they dont have blueberry bagels :( Other than that, the food is phenomenal as are the employees!
Excellent everything bagel with vegan cream cheese, and the service was even better. Thank you!
Delicious bagels and coffee drinks! Seating is limited and it can get pretty busy on the weekends, but it is well worth it. The bagels are pretty similar to NY style ones! I highly recommend the rosemary bagel and their scallion cream cheese too.
Best everything bagel I’ve had since I left New York! I’d give Rise more stars if I could.
Overrated. Each time Ive tried it, the bagels have been tough and hard to chew.
Rise bagels is the best place on Earth. The shop smells SO good and right when I walk in, all I can think of it the beautiful creation that is a bagel. I love to just get a bagel and cream cheese (and the sandwiches are great too). A great place to hang out at breakfast, work on some homework, or catch up with a friend!
Bagels are good. Everything is fresh. Have outdoor seating but no garbage or recycling outdoors which is odd since theres no dining inside.
The smell of happiness is what greets you when you walk in the door here!
Delicious bagels, delicious cream cheese. Havent dined in or had any of their breakfast sandwiches or other menu items, but I have a hard time imagining theyre not fantastic, too. Good, friendly service every time Ive been in - even when super busy.
Great Food, staff was amazing. Was able to get in and get out and find a easy place to sit outside and enjoy my Artisan bagel.
Any cafe that sells different sizes of Americano’s which have no difference except the amount of water in them (e.g. the larger the size, the more watered down it is) is an affront to anyone who takes their coffee seriously. The 12 oz is already weak, the 16oz is just coffee flavored water. Also, the breakfast bagel sandwich just down the street is both better and less expensive than here. But this is the hotspot for all the hipsters visiting the N. Loop on the weekends so 🤷🏻♂️
Absolutely love this spot. They carry vegan options which is a major plus for my family and i... but what’s with the hours? I always wake up and want a bagel but then i remember how wonky the hours are and how certain days they just aren’t open at all.. why is this?!
Order in the morning, always good and always busy
