Great coffee shop in Uptown with a focus on quality drinks. They have homemade syrups like vanilla, lavender, and cinnamon as well as alternative milk options (oat milk, etc). Ordering was done yourself on a tablet. The iced vanilla latte wasn’t too sweet and tasted great. Free street parking out front. Lovely environment with lots of plants and brick walls. WiFi worked well for studying.
This is such a great coffee shop. Not only is the coffee the best (especially for light roast drinkers) the baristas are so friendly! Every time I come here I have such a great experience. So glad I found this place!
Phenomenal service, vibe, and coffee. The espresso was beautifully sweet, vibrant, and full bodied, without being overly roasty. If you are into specialty coffee, this is definitely a must visit.
Cute coffeehouse with great lattes and slow brews. There is a decent amount of seating. The shop is clean and well lit. The exposed brick looks nice. They have a free bakery items. Parking can be tough. There is a lot next to the building but don’t park in the lot, it’s not for patrons of the coffee shop.
This place has a very hole-in-the-wall feel, and I mean that in the best way: Its a hidden gem.The building has a very sleek, modern feel yet with a unique twist of being inside a residential-style location. The setting is quaint, with a window-side high top bar, a large table, and some greenery + art; just enough to please.Where it really shines though is the COFFEE. Specifically, the complexity and variety they offer in terms of brew methods and roasts. You can order Kyoto Style Iced coffee, which is produced in a contraption about as tall as a human being, with the appearance of an alchemists apparatus. The espresso machines are sleek and new types. Standard cups of joe can be poured over OR batch brew, and if you pour over, you get to choose roast from what I remember. The drinks are expertly crafted to fit your needs as well, with my cappuccino ACTUALLY feeling like a cappuccino. The chai tea my date had was also quite aromatic.Furthermore, the staff were quite knowledgeable and friendly, not hesitating to have casual conversation even amidst busy hours. There was also top-of-the-line equipment and beans available for purchase, which further states their eye for quality. If youre ever in the neighborhood and have had your share of other coffee houses, PLEASE give them a shot. If you you cant find close parking, go for a nice walk.
Best coffee in the city. I have a subscription for their beans because this place knows how to roast consistently and source their beans responsibly. Also, don’t sleep on the Thai Tea Latte!
Matcha is good tasting. Off street parking a challenge, but worth the walk. Atmosphere is serious but relaxed at the same time. A nice place to meet friends or work on your project while you drink cold brew or have a Matcha latte. Matcha glass crowlers are yummy. Not sure whether matcha and coffee is organic. Music is nice and they have a turn table. Some food options as well. Cold brew expensive but delicious.
I love how open, well-naturally-lit, and clean this space is. It doesnt feel too congested and its perfect to study, work, or have coffee conversations here. Great customer service, and Sam was very insightful with drink options. Great choice of music as well.It was a cold, gloomy day, but it didnt deter me from getting an in house matcha Thai tea. Perfect balance of flavors, and not too sweet for my sugar level.Ill be returning soon, and often.
Great coffee, great atmosphere. I just wish they did bigger than 10 oz !
Wesley Andrews is doing it right! I am always so excited to find a coffee shop that puts their focus into making truly great coffee. I admire their commitment to ethics, sustainability, and building relationships. Ive gotten great cappuccinos here and they also sell coffee equipment and the staff will talk to you about how to make better coffee at home! Go support them!
Serving up the perfect cup of coffee takes time. If you have 5 minutes to spare, let them craft you the perfect cup. Anything you order here will so smooth you wont need creamer. The baristas here are knowledgeable and friendly. They also have a fantastic tea selection. This is easily one of my favorite coffee spots in Minneapolis.
Super good lattés here. Flavored drinks arent overly sweet. Baristas are helpful. Drink preparation is consistent (this is huge for me). What more to ask for? I look forward to trying out the canned ice coffee once summer arrives.Big ups to the fabulous baristas here! I dont know your names yet but you make beautiful coffee.☕❤️
Wouldnt honor their coffee passport for a free pour over. Not sure why they would promote this only to have people come in and be told they can only get a drip coffee. Drip was okay but it was the bottom of a carafe so I have no idea how long it had been sitting there. Kinda hard to get a taste for their roast this way. Cant say theres any reason to try a second time with so many good options around.
Passing through town and got a double shot of espresso neat. It was extra sour and very apparent they need dial in their grind.
A perfect balance of chic and rustic design makes for a cozy spot to hang out. The acoustic music adds to the comfort and also allows concentration for work. The lattes are perfect. Also, I mixed up my drink request and they gladly fixed it and were very nice about it. Great staff! My new favorite spot, and luckily Im nearby.
This small coffee shop knows exactly what it is and caters everything around that: hip locals that want to hang out in a beautiful shop with great coffee. Everything from the turntable playing records, the marble tables, and the great coffee help facilitate a great experience. Most of the brewed coffee is light/medium roast and the tea is delicious. Definitely worth a stop to check it out!
Great coffee selection, friendly service, and now they have yummy Lake City Sandwiches.
Really good coffee with an almost (almost) pretentious vibe. Not sure if its due to the small sizes or the general ambiance, but its hardly a complaint.
This place was wonderful! I will say I drove by it twice because the logo is on the window not a large sign like I expected. Street parking was easy to find. Barista was friendly. I googled best matcha Minneapolis and the matcha latte I got here did not disappoint! She took her time making it (not too much! But I think not rushing it really helps the flavors- you dont scald the matcha and make it bitter, but also get a nice foam) flavor was great. Not overly sweet. Decor simple but cozy. Good wifi connection. The person I was meeting there just got drip coffee but the presentation was very striking. Definitely will return!
Best option (my opinion) is their cold brew or pour over. So good.
Great cold brew and drip coffee. Awesome vibes too.
Wesley andrews is one of my favorite coffee shops in minneapolis. they do an excellent job roasting their beans and the small little seating area is simple but charming. the staff has always been friendly and make great coffee. don’t miss out on this place and make sure you grab a bag of beans while you are there!
Great coffee shop! The drinks are delicious. The chai tea latte was well balanced and the espresso (their in-house Ethiopian roast) was very good (clear, medium roast, and nutty; 8/10). The atmosphere is perfect. The baristas keep the turntable spinning a great selection of alternative music at just the right volume. The service is friendly. The tables are sturdy. Theres a lot of seating for a shop this size. And the place is clean and well kept. Highly recommend checking it out!
My favorite coffee shop in Uptown!
Top-notch coffee with comfortable seating and great music playing on vinyl. Hard to find a more quintessential coffee shop. You wont be disappointed!
Two of the biggest self-proclaimed coffee snobs I know suggested this place, and Im so glad they did! My drink was a specialty latte: The North Woods, made with smoked whiskey infused brown sugar with balsam fir, espresso, steamed milk, and a toasted marshmallow on the side. It was PERFECTION, but the service there was even better! The barista was so kind! I told him we were there celebrating my birthday, and he gave me the rest of their pastries at the end of our stay because they were about to close. I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could, for the service, the drink, and the atmosphere! Thanks for an amazing experience!
Best espresso Ive had! Great shop and atmosphere. Been enjoying making their beans at home as well.
Best place to get coffee in Whittier. Their roast is spot on and they have a great choice for milk alternatives. Staff is always friendly and they have compostable cups.
Cute design!
Quality drinks, nice outdoor patio, and comfortable COVID precautions in place. Love their seasonal menus!
One of the best espressos in the Twin Cities.
If you like “no foam” cappuccinos, this might be your place.Alternatively, cappuccinos might not be your thing. Mine was as “wet” as possible; it was also was lukewarm. The charitable two star rating is for atmosphere which elevates my coffee rating out of negative stars territory.
Nice shop with really personalized coffee. They know their stuff for sure! Didnt have my cold brew when I went and subbed it for pour over converted to a iced coffee. End result wasnt very good to me but my wifes was great. Would recommend if you want to try something out of the ordinary but very truthful to the craft.
I love knowing that my coffee is supporting both a local business and high quality coffee. Good for friends, dates, and meetings. A few outdoor tables in the summer but seating is limited. There is a rewards system if youre a regular!
This was arguably the best latte Ive had in Minneapolis. Temperature and taste. The environment is open and inviting. I have yet to try the food offerings, but will be returning. The only possible complaint I could have, is there is only one size option. I dont need 20oz of coffee to be happy spending 5 bucks
Great place to come for a coffee, sandwich, soup, Ice cream - basically anything! If you download the ripples app, you can make or upload fun pictures to your coffee. Cute little place in an upcoming area!
Ive been to about 15 different coffee shops in Minneapolis since moving here from California a few months ago. Ive been searching for a cafe to replace my favorite spot and I think I finally found it. Keep in mind, I only drink lattes so my review is purely based on their espresso, milk, environment, and overall friendliness. Ive really enjoyed my time at Wesley Andrews. Ive met Andrew, Sam and Johan (the co-owner) and they are all great people! They have a record play and play great music. Their space is open, clean and feels warm. I love doing work there. Their lattes are the best Ive had in Minneapolis so far (right ahead of angry catfish). Good location too, right off eat street. Overall, great place and highly recommended!
I love it that this place focuses both on delicious coffee and tea. You cant go wrong with any of their tea selections and any of the coffees are delicious enough to drink black. The atmosphere is something youd see right in Tokyo. I miss donuts from The Bakers Wife but Patisserie 46 is always a solid choice.
Great coffees here. Very freshly roasted with excellent flavor. I ordered several of their bags of beans, including the Gesha which was a nice treat, and they’re all very good. The shipping got a little messy which might have been my fault or USPS, not sure, doesn’t matter much. Jared was quick to communicate and we were able to work it out.I’ll be back frequently for more coffee. Great work folks.
The people here are incredibly knowledgeable about the coffees they serve, and I struggle to think of a place that has delivered such a quality experience before. Two big reasons why you should come here.First, if you ask the person checking you out about a specific coffee, they are able to spout a phenomenal amount of lore on that specific option on the menu.Second, with low music and a large wall of windows, this place is an idyllic place to sit, enjoy coffee, and get work done.
We call this vibe town. coffee is solid. people are cool. bench was a little janky, but its part of the vibe.
This was the most pretentious coffee shop I have ever been in, and Ive been to a lot of coffee shops. The tea was fine, though nothing special. I will say the presentation of the tea in an artsy pitcher-like thing was kind of cute(?). Its a nice place to sit and read but I felt mildly stared at for looking like an average citizen and reading something as main-stream as the New Yorker. Maybe Ill return (if I decide I need a quiet place to sit and write poetry...)
Love the iced tea! wish there was more cozy seating, and free parking, but the I understand the area makes it difficult to have those luxuries.Overall, i love the tea and fast wifi
Best coffee and tea selection in the area
Great place for coffee and tea (and they source awesome donuts so might as well grab one.) Has a cool Japanese feel to it with some of the siphon machines and the beans are awesome - one of my favorites ever. Their mixed coffee drinks are solid and the cold brew is a favorite of mine. But dont ignore the tea if youre into that, too. A stop here is becoming pretty regular for us.
Really well-curated coffee experience! They put in a lot of attention to detail and are always perfecting their craft. They also have some really fun and unique rotating coffee drinks as well as an excellent selection of fine coffees and teas. A great place to get some work done.
Pros: Nice, quiet, chill little coffee house with a good vibe and friendly staff. Definitely hipster but I dont mind. Pour-over coffee is really solid.Cons: I will upgrade them to 5 stars when they start optioning skim milk or 2% for their beverages.
Coffee/espresso is top notch. Decor is modern and somewhat minimalist/sleek. Lots of good counter space and a few small tables. The proprietors have given a lot of thought to the layout; one of the very few coffee shops Ive been to with a counter surrounding the espresso machine. This layout encourages conversation (one of the two goals on their wall) by making the baristas a natural social anchor. Open since November 2016.
The coffee here is excellent. Even if you normally drink coffee with cream I recommend trying their coffee without cream as it is very smooth and without the extreme bitterness that you get in most commercial coffees.I recommend the Ethiopian pour-over with a coconut macaroon.Ive been to WA two times in as many weeks and plan to make it my new go-to coffee joint.
Relaxed vibe, consistent high quality espresso. Music right volume. Disability and fat friendly seating.
Lets talking about buss.
Great place to come and have quality locally roasted coffee! The baristas were exceptionally kind and were a blast to talk to. I ended up trying around 4 different beverages and they were all delicious! If I had to rank them: 1. Americano (Ethiopian) 2. Espresso (Rwandan) 3. Pour over (Ethiopian) 4. Kyoto Cold BrewAgain they were all delicious! I will definitely be returning the next time i find myself in minneapolis.
First time in Minneapolis and this was an awesome find! Co-owner (Jared) was extremely welcoming instead of the stereotypical third wave snob scene.Highlights:- Comfortable layout and study environment. I bet students love the late night atmosphere.- My girlfriend and I ordered their Kenya on the slow bar, and the Blood Orange Latte. I’m impressed any time shops have seasonal offerings and a single origin dialed in.- Lovely presentation and taste without having to wait a billion years.
Super nice atmosphere. Friendly barista. Great cold brew
This place knows coffee! Beautiful single origins, clean and comfortable space with great energy and the staff is awesome! If you’re a coffee lover please do yourself a favor and go here. If you enjoy matcha tea you’ll be blown away. Highly recommended!!!
Wonderful environment and coffee drinks. The baristas are very helpful and welcoming. Great selection of music all in vinyl. I enjoy bringing a book and it would be an excellent place to bring homework or work. Latte and specialty drinks are superb, as are the different selection of coffee.
Johan is an extraordinarily knowledgeable tea enthusiast, and his preparation of oolong was among the best I’ve even enjoyed. The minimalist interior design aided an easy serene appreciation of the tea.
You can tell when you walk in that the caretaker of this shop believes in classiness and has expensive tastes. The coffee is very good but I wish it came in a larger size than a chemistry beaker and cost less. This shop definitely gives the neighborhood some charm.
Fantastic space with fantastic coffee. You can tell the workers here truly know what theyre doing and care about the quality of the cup. Im sure their tea is great too!
Excellent coffee and tea options with a modern feel. Didnt try any baked items but they look great. Very friendly staff. Quiet with B+ wireless. Perfect for meetings and hanging out.
They serve drinks in pitchers that will keep your drink warm so you can drink over time without it getting cold. Great idea and GREAT light roast Ethiopian coffee.
The eco-minimal atmosphere, friendly staff, and the one-of-a-kind “slow bar” will take your coffee experience to the next level. ✌🏼It’s one of my top 3 favorite coffee shops I’ve ever visited.
Really cute and cool coffee place. Love the minimalist design, and they make really incredible coffee. Not for me, but everyone else I know really likes it.
Smooth well balanced latte and good ambiance. I kind of like that they play a record rather than a playlist because you can get deeper cuts of an artist.
My matcha latte was very pretty, tasted okay, was lukewarm, and cost $4.70. The ambiance is bare bones hipster. Its not for me but Im sure there are other people who would enjoy it. Service was good.
Expensive. Small serving. Fancy serving plate/glass. Coffee was watery and fairly bland. Not sure how so many good reviews? Probably the only coffee shop I never loved in my life.
Fantastic little coffee getaway with lots of tea & coffee options. Fun trendy atmosphere and super friendly/helpful staff.
This place was very hip and modern in how they brewed their coffee, and it tasted wonderful! Keep in mind it is a small local business so no foofoo coffee here with all the extras, they really just celebrate and honor the coffee. Very friendly and informative staff!
Definitely the best cup of joe on eat street. The least expensive cup ($3.50) is about a dollar more than other places in the area, but you get what you pay for- delicious, individually brewed portions. Music isnt too loud, and the staff know their stuff. My only complaints have to do with the seating. There is a scarcity of outlets, and if youre trying to do work, the non-rail seating is ridiculously low for laptop work or writing. Back- strain city. Seating: two stars- everything else: five.
Came in for a quick cold press coffee and black tea, both of which were delicious. The atmosphere is very clean and light, the music is quite chill, and the decor is gorgeously minimal but still comfy. The barista was very friendly and helped me decide on a tea, and even gave me recommendations for buying dry loose tea for a gift. This shop is really lovely!
Place is decorated cute. They are very specialized, only have 1 size coffee (to go)A minimal selection. This would be the place for a true coffee lover or a crunchy type individual. I felt very out of place on my way to work, in my scrubs, to get the smallest most expensive okish latte Ive ever had. Also, from another review the parking lot is not for them apparently? There is no signage stating this, just a misspelled sign stating that you will be responsible for towing fees. (Owner responsible for THERE towing fees)
Best coffee beans in minneapolis
My friend and I expected to come in and order a coffee and have it poured from a large batch into a cup. Nope! Each of our drinks were crafted individually, so the quality is top notch. Very friendly staff too; one of them played a record I suggested! Wesley Andrews is a beautiful new addition to the Twin Cities.
Cold brew is amazing!!!
Super delicious Kenyan light roast. Blew my mind it came in double wall decanter and coffee cup. My buddy had a mochiatto and it looked elegant.
