These folks are very professional. John explained what my car needed. He showed me a serious engine leak and what he will do to fix it. Front and back brakes were replaced. John told me that the bad vibration on the steering wheel would disappear after the brake job and he was right. What a pleasure to drive my car with the brakes/rotors replaced!Megan, the service advisor is the first person you’ll see. She is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I had a great experience with you all again; my second time and it wont be my last. I was hoping to get financial assistance through the BAR program for the additional repairs my vehicle needs; you all did too good of a job it passed the smog check so now I cant apply lol. Gail and I think Michelle? were both very accommodating as I was not required to be there in person; I had my car dropped off by AAA and returned to me by them as well. I am on disability and its difficult for me to get around so this was a huge help and they made it even more convenient by taking payment over the phone. I brought my husbands car in because it was due for an oil and transmission oil change while he was on his way back from deployment. I brought his car in around 9am, said I would like to try to have it back by the end of the day if possible, and they called me a couple hours later saying it was all done! They did a great job and my husband and I are both extremely happy with the quality of work they did. My parents also use Laguna Viejo Auto for all their car servicing needs. (My dad is a heavy machinery mechanic and does most of the car work himself, so when he finds a place it has to be really good.) Highly recommend!!

Recently broke transmission cooling line coasted into their parking lot after hours. Met with them first thing in the AM not expecting to be repaired same day. They looked at it immediately determined the issue. I received an estimate and told would be repaired the next day. I used Laguna Viejo Auto Service for the first time last week. I had issue with my break. From the time that I walked in I was welcomed with a warm and nice front desk ladies to knowledgeable manager John. They will charge you $400 dollars for brakes. Everyone here in this area is expecting this to be normal. Horrible customer service because its either their way or the highway. Im surprised to have such local shops nearby be so petty. In the other hand dont even bother calling anyone here even if you bring youre own rotors and brake pads. They will simply send you away, worst thing I ever heard from a auto shop.

Came here the first thing in the morning in a panic because of a thermostat issue on my car. I needed the car the next morning for work and to take a long drive to Los Angeles. I am fairly new to Orange County and haven’t had the best experiences with mechanics so far. John was so kind and looked at the car immediately. He let me know the issue and had it fixed by noon!His staff are also extremely friendly and It felt nice to find a great place close to home!I would also like to add that I asked him to also look at a possible AC issue. Instead of pushing me to fix a bunch of unecessary items, he was honest and let me know his advice. A huge and grateful-heart shout out to John and Gayle for taking care of my friends and I on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018. We are local Bike Escorts on our way from Huntington Beach, CA to downtown San Diego for the inaugural DC Comics Wonder Woman Run Series. Myself, and three other friends, along with our bikes went down the 5 Freeway only for my trusty 4Runner to completely stop working in the carpool lane. Slowly, we were able to maneuver the vehicle over 5 lanes during a busy part of Saturday to safely exit Oso Parkway. Luckily, we were stopped right around the corner from Laguna Viejo Auto Service.I have worked in the customer service industry for over 25 years and are well aware of what it requires to be the best in class. I had to leave my vehicle over the weekend, but thanks to Gayles quick wit and world class customer service, she was able to take care of my vehicle first thing on Monday. It turns out I had a bad battery that broke the alternator (yes, the double whammy). Gayle and John were absolutely amazing. They are reliable and super trustworthy - a rarity these days in the world of vehicle repair. My trusted 4Runner has been maintained over the last 11 years by my brother who used to work in the vehicle service industry. His stories of questionable ethics in repairs has made me leery of trusting anyone to handle my auto repairs. I can honestly say that I now have another person I can trust to do my repairs and at reasonable costs. No hassle at all.I have to say when I walked into this establishment I was shocked by the homey and nice décor they had and it did not smell like cars at all. Not from Mission Viejo ... had my car break down in the area, and just towed it here because it was AAA recommended. Shop was closed when I dropped my car off ... left my car with keys and a note in the shop door telling them what I needed done. They called me first thing the next morning, took care of it quickly and at a fair price, and all on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. I was very pleasantly surprised!

The first time I had dealing with Laguna Viejo Auto Service. I took my car in for an oil leak. I was told they cleaned the engine but not sure where the leak was but to drive it for a few days. I checked the area in question and in no way was it ever cleaned. I took it back and they assured me they solved the problem, and the area was thoroughly washed down this time. I managed to get home and parked my car. It would not start the next time I went to go somewhere, There is an electronic sensor in that area that was washed and just happened to go bad at that particular time. I had it towed back and they replaced the sensor for no labor cost, but made at least a couple of hundred mark upon the part.I am not an illiterate when it comes to cars. I have modified them raced them, built high performance race engines. The reason I did not do the job myself was that I am getting old, and crawling around under the car and getting all greasy does not appeal to me no longer.By the way the leak is worse than ever.

I love this place!!! They have always ALWAYS went out of their way to help me. They are honest about things which is what I appreciate most, I can bring my own filters in and they will change them while I change my oil. Everyone is always super super nice. At one point I had my car botched by some other place in an accident and they recommended I talk to my insurance and file a claim and helped me through the whole process with working with my insurance . They really didn’t have to ! But they did and honestly it saved me over 7k in repairs. I’ll always come back here even if I move farther away.

My Honda Element broke down in Laguna Hills so called AAA for a tow. AAA suggested I have it towed to Laguna Viejo which is a AAA approved shop. They diagnosed the problem, provided an estimate and had me back on the road the following morning. Although the repair was more than I had hoped to spend, the car is running great and happy I went there. John even called the following week to see how the car was running! Highly recommend Laguna Viejo for first class service very nice people!

John and his staff have always been more than helpful and accommodating. He has been honest and truthful about what repairs have been needed most urgently in my old 1999 Lexus and another primary car. I have never felt ripped off or disgruntled in anyway. I believe his prices are fair. Initially I went to his business with AAA recommendation. But, I would recommend him highly to any one of my friends.

I was treated very well and so was my car!-I have an older vehicle which has had several batteries placed in it, because of a very slow draining problem.The Owner took charge of my Car and was able to find the most probable issue and fix it promptly which he thoroughly checked to make sure he had solved the draining problem.This was about 2 weeks ago and so far so good.I was very pleased with the Service as well as the time spent and the way I was treated.Thank you!

Disliked being lied to by the mechanics. Got charged for test that didnt need done. Left car there for a week, and nothing was done after they said they checked everything out. I have since spoken with other mechanics and customers dealing with these guys, and they scam many people out of $80 to $300 dollars without fixing a thing! Dont trust them, and I would not take my car to them under any circumstances again.

Best auto mechanic Ive ever brought our cars to. Honest, good work, reasonable. John even helped sell one of our cars. He took care of the marketing, and the transfer of ownership. Gail and Courtney behind the desk are so nice and friendly. Oh, and the bathroom is clean. They even provided a baby changing station. Amazing. TV in the lobby and free wi-fi.

I went in yesterday to Laguna Viejo Auto Service after my A/C stopped working. With 100,000+ miles on my car, I was fully expecting to hear that I had a bad compressor and was prepared to pay $1,000+ for the repair. They could have easily sold me on that (and many other auto repair places probably would have done so), but I was pleasantly surprised to hear that my A/C simply needed to be recharged. Total cost for this repair was around $100 vs. $1,000+. I will be taking my cars to Laguna Viejo Auto Service for repairs instead of the dealer from now on.

I took my Ram 1500 in because of a check engine light for a diagnostic. They didnt have an appointment open but said to just drop it by and theyd get to it when they can. And even though when I went to drop it off the check engine light went off, they still diagnosed it within 2hrs of me dropping it off and found exactly what was wrong with it (just the battery making the computer throw codes). They never pressured me to fix anything else like shady mechanics or pressured me into buying their battery. I picked up the truck the same day, put a new battery in, and the owner John still texted me a couple days later checking to make sure how it was and making sure it ran smooth. 100/100 for professionalism and service.

Years ago, I went to a major car dealership to repair my air conditioning. The dealership told me the repair would cost $2400 and there was no guarantee the repair would last. I then went to Laguna Auto and they made the repair for $300 and the air conditioning is still working. Since then I only go to Laguna Viejo Auto for all of my car maintenance. I recommend them most strongly.

We have taken both our vehicles to John at Laguna Viejo several times and are always happy with the service. Once we brought our car in for what I thought was an electrical problem and hundreds of dollars worth of repairs, and they said it was only a light that was broken and fixed it for less than $20.The woman at the front desk (her name escapes me at the moment!) is so kind and patient with all of my questions and requests. Once when the service was taking longer than expected, she waived a $30 fee without me even asking (I wasnt even upset).It seems like their philosophy is to make lifelong customers, not just a quick sale. It is this kind of honest & friendly service that will make them my first call anytime I have car trouble. Highly recommended.

My car was making a noise so a friend recommend Laguna Viejo Auto Service to take it to. They found that the left front brake caliper was falling off the car. I just had my brakes done at another shop and paid over $400/ LVA fixed my brakes and the noise is gone. They charged me $47 for the repair and my car is safe now.
