Without mention any name, the person who first interview me did not have any customers services skill at all. He made me feel I was guilty of what happened to my phone. People go to that store already in panic, because those so expensive phones control our lives now and on top of that you have this person talking to you without any empathy. Spoke with Steve( Supervisor) about my experience.
TAKE NOTE: The Genius Bar is a scam. I have a 3 year old IMac that slowed down to the point where I couldn’t complete work. Brought it to this location twice, and they “fixed” the issue twice. Nothing changed. Highly recommend Computuners. All it needed was a new hard drive. Runs better than ever.
Smooth experience checking in online and instore collecting a new iPad. No real delays.
I would leave a no star review if I could. I came in at my appointment time and ended up having to wait around for almost 20 minutes, to come back at the given pick up time to be told that the repair was still in progress. The guy went back to check the status of my phone came back out and told me that he was putting the screen on and was wrapping up and it would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes I came back in 25 minutes to be told the exact same thing. Apparently appointment times mean absolutely nothing and the staff are liars
They fixed my computer, but they are forcing people to wear masks in the store, even policing you, constantly coming over telling you to pull it up over your nose. But you know what? People need to breathe, air is more important to me. Im boycotting this store.
Very nice store. However, we had to wait for a long time, because the new iPhone had just been released. The staff were very nice and helpful overall, the reason for the stars off was that the person who finally brought us the iphone tried to sell us apple care plus in a sort of sneaky way. He said do you want one year for $$ or three years for $$$ ?. When I said I dont want apple care he said dont you know if you drop the phone it will be expensive to replace the screen? The way he spoke to us seemed a bit condescending. Screen protectors and cases exist for a reason. Im spending $800 on a phone I dont appreciate being upsold in that snarky manner
My daughters old Macbook Air wouldnt boot up, so before re-installing the OS, I went to Apple Nanuet to recover data to an external hard drive. On the first day, Ethan spent about 30 minutes trying, but suggested I return with another laptop to mount the hard drive of the broken laptop. On the next day, Sean spent about an hour to mount the drive and start the recovery/copy. After the working laptop crashed twice while copying, he suggested I take it to one of their data recovery specialists. Though Ethan and Sean were unable to recover the data, I appreciated the time they spent with me trying to address my issue. They were friendly, helpful and professional the entire time. By the way, Information Technology Corp in Paramus was able to recover my data.

This is only for a customers who want to purchase and change plan. The salesperson although very nice are not experienced enough to hand problem that comes up. She had to constantly ask someone. I wasted 45 minutes and end up going to Verizon store. This is what I should have done before coming here.
Ive been to the store, employees were always helpful. my issue is with the product and apples customer service with calls/emails. I own countless apple products, phones, ipads, macbooks. And I have never been more eager to leave a company and all their products behind. I feel bad having to leave a negative review on a store that has been for the most part helpful, but you are a distributor for a company that has given me far too many headaches.
My most recent visit to this location and happily, service quality has not diminished. Same as always, everyone from greeter to tech has been exceptionally helpful with sales,repairs, and how to questions. Other than expensive devices, they leave little else to complain about.

Empty store, but in order to enter you have to make a reservation. Lost my enthusiasm to even go there to spend good amount of money. None of the stores in the same shopping mall needs any reservations.

Take note of which employee helps you!!! I will not lie, some associates at this location are great! BUT i have dealt with a gentleman at the genius bar at this specific location on two occasions. On both occasions he has told me that there are issues with my devices that will cost me $1,000 to fix. My most recent issue this representative claimed that my laptop had water damage. I know with absolute certainty that my laptop had not gone near a drop of water but he was far from sympathetic and told me I owed $1,000 for repair. I walked out and went to a different apple store. I was told that my device needed to be sent for issues under warranty, there was no water damage, and I recently picked up my device (not at Nanuet) after being sent for repair and paid $0. Not a bad location but watch out for the genius bar people because they seem to only care about consumers paying for repairs.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!! Ill explain why briefly. I purchased a phone from this store back in 2016 after going threw a long process for taking my social running my credit and making me sign so many forms just to fully purchase a phone with interest. A year and a half later I had someone I thought was a friends take my phone and brake the band in the battery so I couldnt not train in my phone or ever sell it. I went back to this EXACT location where I purchased the phone just to be told there is no such record of said purchase. WOW after sitting in the store for 2 hours signing so many documents and they even took my social? So where did it all go? Why would I ever trust a place that is so careless with my personal information and carelessness with documentation. So be careful!

Note to managers: train your staff to lose the awful attitude. 98% of the staff here are totally dismissive, rude, and untrained. The guys will literally roll their eyes at you and huff about doing their jobs. I wish I was joking, but I’m not.Save yourself the headache and go to a different Apple store if possible. I can always count on having a terrible experience when I come here.Issues like this trickle down, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a management issue.

The security guards outside of the store are overly aggressive. There was one person in line, Id an appointment to pick up a power adapter. They ask for proof of appointment which i happily show, then they ask if I have my ID. I said I do but why do they need it, they said they will ask for it inside. I said I will show them if they ask me. As I enter the door one of the guards say I should go left. I see a hand sanitizer station and want to quickly clean my hands however the guard decides to grab my arm and push me to the other direction. I remain calm, finish my business and leave - however Im not visiting this store again. Makes me wonder if its time to switch away from Apple.

I went to Apple nanuet to get a new phone. Cori was my salesperson. He was so amazing. He took so much time teaching me about the new features,making sure i understood everything.it was a great experience . You are lucky yo have Cori on your team. He is a true example of what customer service is.

No curbside pickup, bought on line and paid for& items were ready as scheduled,only problem you need to wait on line to get into the store and it wasnt pleasant to stand in the pouring rain for 15 minutes, really nothing you can do about it. Even though they are an authorized apple retailer, they will not let us return a brand new apple product that we paid a lot of money for that ended up being broken. They made us drive two hours to a different location to do the return. Horrible service. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Take your business elsewhere.

Even though there is Covid there wasn’t a long wait time. Covid precautions were taken and staff stays away 6 feet far from you. Employees are friendly and get what you need right away. Only problem is parking space near the store and if you don’t mind walking 5 mins, it’s not the end of the world. Got my screen repaired in an hour.
Review is for Genius Bar only. Good COVID protocols and friendly staff, however, I brought my phone in due to an issue with my screen. I was told that the issue rendered my phone dead and my option was to spend $600 on a replacement or $1100 on a new phone. I took the same phone to one of those phone repair mall kiosks and in 30 minutes the phone was fixed for $115 with a warranty.Had I not gone to the separate kiosk I could have thrown out a perfectly fine device that only needed $100 or repair work.

After over an hour on the phone with Apple a senior advisor approved an in store replacement of my phone. This store had one. She added John Brown, who is a technical expert, to the call. He informed me that the intermittent issue Ive been experiencing would ALWAYS show up during a test. Im guessing his training didnt include the definition of intermittent. John said they most likely would not give me the phone Apple had already approved after months of being strung along. Not sure how Apple allows one incompetent employee to undermine what was once great customer service. Very disappointed in Apple and more so in this store. It seems this company is too busy researching new products to support the ones weve already paid for.
It has been a while since I upgraded. And now that I got the new iphone, I know it is a series upgrade.Not that great: The new airpods. Not as comfortable like the old ones. But do cancel noises./
Apple is just a straight up annoying company. I purposely order the new iPhone so that I don’t have to play the game of waiting on line at Apple. I select in store pickup and have to choose a window to pick it up. I select 1-1:30. I arrive at 1 and they put me on a line of 30 people to get into the store. I paid for the freaking thing already, just give it to me.

By far the best Apple store I have visited. Staff is very friendly. Genius Bar staff does all they can to help. Always good to check inventory before visiting. Sunday’s is crazy since it’s close to NJ but still can get things done. Remember that if you are nice people will be nice to you. You catch more bees with honey then salt.

I had an appointment for 6:10pm after 35 min rep came and now I have to wait 1,5 hour for the phone to be repaired . Let’s see if the phone will be ready?Apple has to work on customer service. By the way the person that help me was nice, polite and understanding.
Although my problem was far past what could be fixed in any Apple store, I was very impressed with this store. Having gone to their previous location in the Palisades mall, this store is much cleaner and modern. The employees and geniuses were beyond helpful and knowledgeable on the topics. The store was timely, and got me in and out before my appointment time slot, as I had gotten there early.

Its an Apple store, loaded to the gills with the latest released Apple gear, in an attractive open atmosphere, and friendly, pressure-free young workers ready to help you out.Going to any mall in the country with an Apple store any business hour of the day, any open day of the year, and its going to be the busiest one anywhere near it, if not in the entire Mall...To me, its a great place to see and play with the full range of Apple stuff, actually the best around, but you can almost always find a better deal elsewhere, e.g., at Best Buy, B&H Photo Video, Adorama, or Amazon.But since they make it all, no matter where you pick it up or have it delivered, and so many people want only genuine Apple stuff, it really doesnt hurt Apples bottom line that much if you get their gadgets wherever, though of course the local store managers and staff have a stake in you are getting it there.

They ready do have it together. I shopped online, found what I want and put it in my cart. When I got to the apple store, they already knew who I was from my phone and they brought over my stuff. I looked it over and checked out right there with the girl who greeted me. It doesn’t get any easier than this. Every retail store in the tech sector should try to keep up.

Apple phone support told us that wed be able to walk in to the store and out with with a new phone for a simple recall issue. Instead we ended up arguing for 90 minutes to be able to leave with any phone. We asked for the manager multiple times, but he would never come out and talk to us.
I purchased an Apple desk top with my college ID and received free Beats it was a promotion back in September 2018 . I also bought an IPhone pro the new upgrade . And the people that works in Apple are incredible they helped me so much with my pictures, iCloud, Apple ID ! I definitely recommend this Apple location the employees care about your concerns and interest !

Pretty good experience overall. Fixed /cleaned my sons airpods in about ten minutes. Relatively on time for appointment.
Staff preoccupied with socializing among themselves. Not motivated to serve customers. Unnecessarily long wait times. I came in on a weekday- 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment and was left waiting for almost 30 minutes. Upon entering the store I had to wait for the two staff members finished their personal conversation before I could tell the staff member I had an appointment. To which he jokingly told me the appointment was canceled! That annoyed me already and showed me his immaturity and moreover, that the staff aren’t interested in helping their clients. I waited on the back table for almost 30 minutes while I watched the staff talk amongst themselves. Asked the manager to help me and he tried to convince me to come another time. No attempt to work through the problem. Very disappointed in the lazy customer service. Do better Apple! DO BETTER! They need to work on their efficiency because customer service isn’t the priority among staff.
The Folks in the Genius Bar saved multiple computers for us. And the business team is fantastic.

Couldnt really help us for a broken phone, for many acceptable reasons. They did go above and beyond though to try and help. Dont try and sneak in at the last minute. They would appreciate people getting there at least 30 minutes before they close or earlier. If it wouldnt have been a medical emergency, they would have turned us away 15 minutes before closing time
I went there on Saturday, the customer services person treat me like I was nobody.. he didn’t care about the questions I had... I went there because I want to make financial for a new phone and he is like “ well there is a card for apple so need to apply” and I said “ok” When I show him my phone he is like “This is the 6s is not going to work so apply to another one.”.. the only option is to pay the phone fully cash” and he left.. this is horrible services. I felt less and uncomfortable the way he treat me.

Johan was extremely helpful and courteous. He spent an hour with me trying to figure out why Verizon wasnt letting me finish my transaction so I could buy my new iPhone. He was very patient and didnt give up once. Thank you Johan! :)

My reservation was processed in a timely manner. However the Genius Bar tech gave me a conflicting answer than the Apple Support staff that I had on the phone.I offered to have them speak to each other to sort out whatever misunderstandings they had but the Genius Bar tech refused and insisted they were correct.The entire experience lasted close to 2 hours. A manager finally came and sorted it out.That shouldn’t happen when you purchase a new device and are coming in for pick up.
