Had some issues with my wife’s Giant bike which we purchased in Michigan. Stopped in & one of the owners, Doug, helped us fix the bike & purchase some additional items for her bike. I used to be in management for a high end men’s clothing chain in the Midwest that built their brand & reputation on the best service in the industry. After leaving the company 30 years ago, I had never experienced the quality of service we routinely provided at my previous employer, until we visited Bike Route & Doug. Kudos to Doug & his staff.

Went in to buy a bike basket. Manager was difficult so I left.Update: The response to my review is a LIE! I asked if I could get a discount on the defective basket and was told no and that if I didn’t want it I didn’t have to buy it, thus, why the manager was difficult. Lol Nice try. I ended up finding the basket at the Trek store. They had a better selection and better customer service.

I brought my Fuji, Team RC bike, to the local Trek store the other day to have the chain replaced. This is something I have done regularly in order to keep The gears inn great shape. They told me that my bike had developed a problem. They said it needed a new bottom bracket. The next day I got a call that It was not the bottom bracket, but a cracked frame.I bought this bike new about 12 years ago. I( wanted a second opinion, spo I brought it to your stored discovered that It was not the Cracked frame, but that the frame and the metal tube inside the frame had become delaminated. Your Employee, Andrew< not only correctly diagnosed the problem, but was able to communicate with Fuji to get a new fram for a substantially lower price. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable on accessories. Wanted to bring my bike in for a tune up and overall check on the bike. Koby did an excellent job going through what the bike would need to be back to tip top. Replaced what Koby recommended and the bike feels brand new. Rides like butter. Will be bringing my bike in regularly for the bike route and Koby to take care of.

I wish i could leave a 10 star review! unfortunately about a year ago I purchased a bike from a big brand sports store, when I took my bike in for its initial tune up, my bike was returned to me looking like it has been drug behind a car. The company agreed to replace the bike with a new one in which I honestly feel was their only option.The assistant manager said I will personally take care of tuning and assembling your new bike! the following morning within the first 10 feet of my maiden voyage the chain fell off!!! After it was personally taken care of by the assistant manager!I called The Bike Route and spoke with a very nice young lady who asked me to bring the bike in. Upon arriving a was greeted by another young lady who was just as nice. I proceeded to the service department where I was greeted by two young men who where equally as nice. after explaining what was going on with my bike 15 minutes later my bike had been gone through completely from top to bottom and the gentleman asked me to take it for a quick ride to make sure everything was perfect and sure enough it was. I cant express how impressed I am by such a professional family who you can see cares for their customers.

Just purchased my second road bike from The Bike Route. The main reason was they carried the Giant brand bike, a brand I have ridden for many years with zero problems. I always took my bike back there for all routine service and parts. The staff there are always courteous and very knowledgeable of everything to do with bikes and biking in general. Their mechanics are top notch too. Repairs are always done timely and correct.If they dont have what you want or need they will gladly order it for you. A family owned business with attention to customer service with a personal touch.

I’ve been a customer here for years, and I was in today for a couple of problems. The Service Dept was great as always. They worked on a couple of problems and I had to find a way to give a gratuity to Andrew, who helped me out.HOWEVER, there was one guy the store, who may have been the owner, who was not wearing a mask and speaking very loudly to a customer on the phone. I was really uncomfortable and told a staff member that this man, whoever he is, was endangering us all. The staff member I spoke to said nothing. I imputed fear of this man in his eyes, although it could have been annoyance with me for pressing the subject or not confronting this guy myself.I hope that things are going to change soon in Naples. 80% of the people one sees on busy streets do not wear a mask. Do they think they are immune?!But it looks like the City Council is finally moving in the right direction on this grave public health issue. The next 6-8 weeks are likely to be some of the worst in America’s history when it comes to preventable deaths.From The Naples Daily News:“Businesses and event organizers in the city of Naples will be required to mandate mask use.“The city council voted 4-3 Monday to approve a resolution requiring that people wear masks in establishments — from grocery stores to restaurants to bars to gift shops — and at outdoor public events. Businesses and event organizers would be required to ensure compliance or face Code Enforcement Board fines, according to the resolution.”I’m upgraded my review from several weeks ago after visiting the shop again to purchase a front light. I worked, on this occasion, with Karen, who has assisted me before. I believe that she usually works in the Service department, but the Sales staff was otherwise occupied; so she helped me make my purchase. She’s very knowledgeable and gave me a couple of options. My purchase amounted to $58.The only slight negative about the transaction is that the light has four different modes, including “flash,” which I have had before and is my favorite. Unfortunately, perhaps because she was taking time off from her regular responsibilities, I didn’t get the walk through of how to change the modes that I needed, and I still haven’t figured that out. The print on the instructions are at something like a 6 point type face, and they are hard for me to read, even with my glasses on. I haven’t tried with a magnifying glass!Karen seemed to be familiar with my earlier review, found above, and said that the fellow who wasn’t wearing a mask was on the phone with a customer who was hard of hearing, implying that my judgement was too harsh, and maybe she’s right. On the other hand, the staff member in question might have gotten the customer’s phone number and called back from the store office or outside where others would be protected.

I brought my bike in because my gears weren’t shifting right. Andrew looked at it, made adjustments, and I was ready to leave in less than 15minutes. He even took time to give the bike a look over for any “must do” repairs, as I haven’t had to do any in two years. The gear issue was an easy fix and he didn’t charge me for anything! I was very impressed at how thorough he was and with his customer service. I would highly recommend The Bike Route to anyone and will definitely return when another issue arises. If you need service done, Andrew is the best!

To start, I purchased my bicycle from them several years ago. I put 40 to 50k miles on this bike with zero problems. I went through 3 sets of tires before it needed some work. I brought it back to them because they did an amazing job building it in the first place. There were no hidden fees, the price was exactly what they quoted. The work was also done in half the time they had estimated. The sales staff was helpful with any of the questions I had. That being said he kind of hovered, uncomfortably, around me the whole time. Which is better than no one being there at all. However, I digress, it was an extremely pleasant experience and they did an outstanding job with the repairs that were needed. She took the time to discuss all aspects of the bike (I was shipping it to San Diego so buying it sight unseen). They assembled it, packed it up and had it ready for shipment within one day! Andrew rebuilt my beloved Specialized bike that was custom built for me 30 years ago. With over 3000 miles on it, others told told me it couldn’t be done.When Andrew was finished it now rides “like new”. He replaced the chain and back gear package, removed and cleaned the front gears, installed a new kick stand and replaced the handles and old bell. He cleaned and lubed everything giving it was a “total” service. I am just thrilled and enjoying it immensely. Great service! Thanks, Andrew!!!

I do not recommend called before going and they guaranteed to help me if they did not have the part they were going to order it. I get there and they tell me it’s 50 to fix I tell them I just wanted to purchase the part he says it’s about 10 bucks I said fine, older men whispers something to the other young guy and he turns around and says oh we don’t have any parts for this wheel sorry no we can order or anything what kind of attitude is that just because I want to fix my own sons bike waisted time and gas to deal with these people I don’t recommend unless you like spending a bunch of money on a bicycle!

The best staff ever. Its hard to get 5 stars from me for anyone. But the staff at this place just are the best. Ive owned several businesses and I can tell you I would be proud to have thos team working for me. Also Ive had an opportunity to speak to the owner and this man has built a great team. I will go no where else for my bike needs.

I brought in my bike with concern of its tires and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable but suggested a tune up instead. They said it would be ready the following day, and when noon on that day hit, I called asking if they had an estimated time to which they responded with “we don’t really know.” The whole day went by with no word and ultimately no communication until the following morning. The tune up costed me 110 dollars which was fine except the value of the tune up was poor. Hardly anything was done to the bike, nothing was even cleaned, there was no description of what they did. On top of that, they stripped half of the threading on one of the pedals causing it to fall of very soon after riding. Fortunately after bringing it back the guy was able to correctly install the pedal. Overall it was very disappointing. I’m a pretty relaxed and understanding person but the lack of any communication was rather annoying.

Very happy with this shop. Purchased a new bike from them a few years ago and subsequently have been back to purchase racks and packs. Always knowledgeable and friendly. Stopped in the other day for a mirror and ended up with a new water bottle holder and a used bike from their rental fleet. Some adjustments were necessary so we stopped back again- as usual, same friendly service. I wouldn’t shop anywhere else.

This place is awesome! I stopped by, for the first time, to buy a few items for my new Harper fixed-gear/single-speed bike that I ordered on-line from someone else. These folks had everything and the fellow by the name Steve, adjusted the spokes on my bike free of charge and installed all of the components that I purchased. I have never experienced something like this.

Another good “tune up” for my bike after thousands of miles from the last good tune up at The Bike Route a year ago. Noah and the guys in the shop are the best. The bike was completed on time, at estimate and the bike feels and works great. I only get my bikes serviced here. See you next time on one of the other bikes.

To be honest - maybe the virus has people acting weird, but we have a place down here and I just went thru the process of buying 5 bikes for my family in Knoxville - needed to get some foot-powered transportation down here. I walk in and walk around for over 5 minutes while 3 people with work shirts on stand behind the counter and never engage. I then go over to them and say I want to buy 5 bikes and theres minimal response. Then someone finally engages, but isnt really friendly about it. Run thru some questions, all week one word answers. I ask about delivery availability which is met with a short, no before I can even say I live about 0.5 miles from the store. Theres some conversation had with the person walking away from me twice to go somewhere else, maybe to look something up or something. Just not very friendly overall. I get in my golf cart and leave. Wife and kids are like...thought we were buying bikes? I said...me too, but not from them apparently. Hoping this was a one-time thing.

Andrew is a gem as a Go-To must see Ace mechanic even if yr bike costs the equivalent of sum 3rd World Countries GDP! Fast, attentive, adroit, he can reliably troubleshoot even the oddest Ghost sounds coming from yr F1 equivalent race machine! I TRUST HIS WORK!

I brought my bike to Florida from WI to help rehab after an injury. After a few dayshere I noticed a noise that was coming from the chain rubbing on metal. I brought mybike in with a completely loosened crankset which I had discovered was the problemand was welcomed in with my bike. My crankset was fixed right away and I couldnt havebeen treated any better, any faster or any nicer. My bike works like brand new. Id recommend thisshop any time youre in need of anything to do with bikes!

I went in and met with Josh. - told him I was on a fact finding trip and would not be buying right now. 45 minutes later I walked out the door with a great education. He was informative, friendly and patient. I love any business where the goal is to deliver a great product and the money will follow. I would recommend these guys to anyone and everyone.

Reasonable prices, Easy drop off. The only thing they should have done differently was tell me the code to the bike lock they gave me. Luckily I was with someone who had rented from them previously and they knew the code, but I did not and that could have ended badly for me.

Great bicycle 🚲 shop! My bike was making a clicking sound when I was coasting. I took it in to the Bike Route bicycle shop. I was impressed with the knowledge and caring attitude of the repair staff. The bike was ready the next day and bill was exactly the estimate. I strongly recommend the shop for repairs and tune ups.

We rented bikes on a recent visit and compared the various options in Naples. Really glad we found The Bike Route! Wow! More than reasonably priced and great service. They took time to set up each individual bike and provide helmets, baskets and locks for each one before we took off. Very friendly service. Nice well-stocked bike shop. A bonus - there are a couple of great food places within a couple of blocks if you need to schedule that into/before or after your ride. The only thing that might be an issue is it seems like they have a smallish stock of rental bikes and its first come first serve so maybe call ahead to see if there any available?

I have bought numerous bikes and accessories here over the years. The last bikes that we bought were fairly high end ( for us) mountain bikes. The staff was incredibly helpful and spent a lot of time with us in choosing the bikes that would fit us best. We were measured for frames and we talked a lot about where and how we ride. We ended up getting 27.5 Giants with full suspension that we are just thrilled with. I bought a Giant road bike on Craigslist. I knew it needed some work, so I took it to Ben @ Bike Route. Id never dealt with them before. Ben & his team took excellent care of me. My bike rides like new! I highly recommend Bike Route for your biking needs.

I just moved from out of town to this area a few months back. Due to all the sunshine I decided to invest in a sun-helmet visor to block out those tough Florida rays. I wasnt too happy with the quality of it though. They installed it on my helmet and it kept sliding off on the first ride. I decided to reinstall the visor myself 3 different times and it just doesnt work right. The woman who put the visor on was rather rude to me as well. I would give 1 star but the tall fella in the service department aired up my tires and gave me some advice on general maintenance! Come here for repairs and nothing else!

Me and my friend went in to the Bike Route to get a few simple parts put on a bmx bike. After they had the bike and all of the parts, to pass time me and my friend were walking around to check out the other bikes and as we were doing that the lady from the front desk was following us around making unnecessary adjustments to act like she wasnt watching us as if we were going to steal something, and this went on for about 25 minutes until i decided to take my bike back and leave the store. With the parts that were to be put on it they said it would take 3 days to complete something that wouldnt take more than 10 minutes.

My wife and I came in here to rent a couple of bicycles for 3 days. The bikes worked great except for the seat kept moving left and right constantly, even after tightening them every morning. The ride around Naples made me forget that though because this town is beautiful! There was only one annoyance of renting from these guys. The older gentleman kept pushing his maps and routes and other general information on us when we just wanted to get out and ride. And then upon return, he bombarded us with random questions and proceeded to follow us to our car. Even though he was exceptionally nice, there was no cue of us just wanting to go. No one wants heckling, even if youre trying to be nice, they are just bikes. 2 stars for the experience.

I drive out of my way from Fort Myers to Naples, just to get my Cannondale Scalpel fixed. The crew at the Bike Route in Naples are: kind, great business sense, and oddly enough believe in quality customer service....What a concept for the bike industry. So I take my bike in the shop on Friday to get repaired and the bill is $228.00, a pretty good amount and job. The guy said it would possibly be ready by Saturday afternoon. I said great, I work and will be in Sunday. (If its ready). I call sundaS when they opened to see if it was, and the guy says its on the rack but being Sunday theres a lot of flat tires that would delay the work. Are you kidding me????? Stop an almost$250.00 sale to fix $ 35.00 flat. HORRIBLE business practices

Not a bike enthusiast, so I am not a regular customer, but they sure treated me like I was a VIP.I went in to buy a $10 specialty tool to fix my bike. I started asking the mechanic how I should repair it, and he just took over and did the 10 minute job at no charge, and charged me a very reasonable price for the specialty tool as well.Even though it was only a 10 minute job, it would have taken me a lot longer and I might have had trouble with it, and very well could have made it worse.Do yourself a big favor and visit this beautiful store with outstanding Customer Service. I did not even buy my bike from them and they knew that, but sure treated me like I had bought the most expensive bike in the shop.A real pleasure to do business with. Thank you so much Bike Route!

Staff was friendly, bikes are in godd condition, weekly rate ($70) is very reasonable. We have rented bikes both times we have visited Naples and it made our vacation so much more enjoyable. Bike infrastructure is adequete for adults comfortable riding on-street with moderate traffic, but some of the sports car drivers arent the most attentive. We asked for lights because we knew wed be out at night. They dug around and found tailights for us, and luckily we had brought one camping headlight we were able to attach to the basket. We also could have bought lights from the shop, of course, but next time i would try to remember to pack some.

The bike mechanics know what they are doing--all the knowledge without the attitude. Fair prices--Ive been around the business for many years and this is an Excellent shop.

We visited 3 bicycle shops in the Naples area looking to buy 2 new bicycles.We were amazed at how poor the first 2 were. One....was more like a small, dingy rental shop with used, dirty bikes for sale. The other, a fairly new shop, was spacious, but not very well stocked. Seemed like they only liked to stock specific types of bicycles, but not much variety.We were going to call it a day, but decided to check out The BIke Route on the way bsck home. WOW....WHAT A DIFFERENCE! CLEAN, UNBELIEVABLE SHOWROOM FULL OF STOCK...with every possible item well labeled and well stocked. AND RACKS OF BICYCLES....ALL SIZES and ALL OF THE BRANDS that they carry......IN STOCK! 3 TIERS HIGH!The Service Department.....was SPOTLESS. GREAT, HELPFUL STAFF as well.We bought the bikes from them! And we went back to purchase a double bike rack from them a few days later.....that they also had a great selection of. This is a REALLY GREAT bicycle shop. Dont waste your time going anywhere else. You will be disappointed.

Since then Steve has been the man, making sure my bike is fully tuned with the top notch componentry, and since Im not an overpriveliged child complaining about how Im not first in line to get my BMX bike worked on like Mason, I am perfectly fine with leaving my ride with these professionals for a few days knowing full well that when I get it back after 3 quick days, itll ride like a dream. I came in to buy a set of chainring bolts. After I had to explain what a chainring bolt is they then claimed that I would have to buy a complete crankset to get one. Never coming back here!

These guys are very professional and good. I drive from Marco Island.for service even though we have a bike shop on Marco Island. The Marco Island bike shop guy is inept and cant even fix a flat tire, plus he is a mean person. I love The Bike Route!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
