Never again! ****Ive been to this location 3 times, and each time the crew was rude, and/or had poor customer service. The manager Lane called today to ask why did I give such a poor review? As I proceeded to explain his tone changed and he became very agitated. He informed me he only saw my phone number in their system, 1 time. I gave him my cellphone number since he didnt believe me about my other visits and he was able to locate my last visit in March. However, Ive visited twice since then, June and today. Lane blamed his employee, Clarks poor attitude on the mask he was wearing to protect himself from Covid-19. I had my co-worker come to my office to confirm the poor service we had today, and Lane became snappy, had a smart mouth and belligerent. By the way Lane behaved himself over the phone, we definitely figured out where the poor attitudes come from at this store...it starts with management and is extended to the employees. We work at a local power plant so this purchase was for business. However, we will definitely take our business to a San Antonio location, even though this store is only 5 minutes away.Batteries Plus Bulbs needs to invest in management training in how to handle customers with bad experiences, so they will return to the store.How this store has good reviews is beyond belief.... I wonder if they are real Google Reviews?

I have had a commercial account with this company for years however the New Braunfels location very much so missed the mark on customer service this time. Id called before I went and the service representative told me that they had two batteries that would fit my vehicle. I then took the battery out ticket to them they looked it up without asking me any questions and said they didnt have one in stock. I explained that I had just called and they then finally decided to look up the vehicle. Theyve been found they had two Alternatives in stock. When the customer service representative went to grab the battery and compare it to my original battery he said it and some battery acid that was left from a previous customer. I had told him that there was battery acid before he set it down and he said thats okay. Not wanting to get the battery acid in the back of my SUV grabbed my original battery and just left. I took a trip 30 minutes down the road to another Batteries Plus Bulbs and got excellent customer service. I would not recommend the New Braunfels Batteries Plus Bulbs location.

I bought a motorcycle battery less than a year ago for my bike with a 2 year warranty and it is a daily if not every other day ride. Would no longer hold a charge and the employees here say the battery was neglected, sitting too long, thus voiding warranty. The bike does not sit for more than a 24 to 48 hour period. I will no longer deal with this business as they do not honor warranties.

BEWARE of getting a new key for your car at this location. I paid several hundred dollars for a new key and fob at Bulbs and Batteries and the key they gave me was defective. I’m not sure what is wrong with it but it doesn’t work consistently which has left me stranded and unable to start my car.The last time my car wouldn’t start, I was able to use a back up key to take my car to the dealership. They told me the programming on the key was done incorrectly and I had to spend $135 to fix it.When I went back to Bulbs and Batteries to talk about the problem and get a refund on the program fee, they were incredibly unhelpful. They said if I was able to use the key to drive off, then their work had to be right - despite my receipt from the Dealership saint the programming was incorrect.They refused to work with me in any way. And as a result of their poor performance I was stranded on two occasions and now out an additional $135 to fix their error.I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING CAR KEYS MADE AT THIS LOCATION.

I bought a 12 volt battery for a Prius. When I got home, I realized the battery posts were much smaller than the terminals the car had to connect to the battery. I called the store and they rechecked to see that I was sold the correct battery. I realized a previous owner switched the terminals in the car so that they could buy a much less expensive battery, but not the correct type. I couldnt find the correct size terminals and Toyota dealer said they had to sell the terminal with an electronic module bolted to it, which was most likely a higher cost than a new battery. I decided to buy the wrong type battery that would fit and use the existing terminals. The Batteries Plus Bulbs store didnt have that battery, but still took the battery back that I bought. I bought a boat battery from the same store earlier in 2019. Seemed like good, honest people.

This was our third visit to this store. Each experience had been excellent! Associates know their stock and are quick to get you exactly what you need. They even gave my father-in-law a generous veterans discount on his mobility scooter batteries. Quality and service keeps us coming back!

This is my second battery with Batteries Plus Bulbs. Purchased battery two years ago when Ford dealer did a bad Customer service job. Lane and group at Batteries Plus took care of me then. Today the battery died. I called and they said I was under warranty and bring it in and get a new one no charge. They tested the battery and it was not holding a charge. They put in a new one. But the computer crashed and they couldn’t do the warranty paperwork. They replaced the battery without the paperwork and sent me on my way. Only to do the paperwork when the computer would come back on. Now that is great customer service. I will go no where else for my car Batteries.

I have back problems and that made it much easier for me. He got me into a battery that had a mail-in rebate and applied military discount as well. Jerry tested my alternator for free to ensure it was properly charging. Thus, putting my mind at peace to know that all I really needed was a new battery and nothing else. I will definitely return as a repeat customer.

Ive gone there twice so far; once to replace the battery for my garage door opener and then later to replace a special bulb in an outdoor lamp. Both times I dealt with the sales manager, Harry Castro and both times he was very professional and knowledgeable. I really enjoy dealing with a true salesperson who is knowledgeable. Ive decided that this is where I will buy any and all of my batteries and bulbs from now on. I didnt compare their prices to online or any other stores; but its worth it to me to get the service that I receive there. Stop in sometime and see for yourself. You wont be disappointed.

UPDATE: My problem was not the battery. Alternator had gone bad and was draining the battery. Batteries Plus was happy to exchange my battery but I simply misdiagnosed the problem.So far, not so good. Just installed new battery on my truck. It tried to crank but would not turn over. Checked the battery and it shows only 25% charged. I thought all new car batteries came (practically) fully charged?

Both Rob and the other gentleman who assisted in getting my iPhone 6s screen repaired were outstanding. I really appreciate the work that they did for me and helping me pick out a new phone case as well. They had my phone ready for me before I had to go back into work that same day. Amazing staff and experience. Will definitely be back if/when my 1 year old breaks my phone again lol!

I took my iPhone in for a new battery and I was allowed to use a coupon from the store to save some money. It took three hours to change out the battery but this is not bad for a Saturday afternoon with three people in front of me. I went back home in the meantime since I live so close to the store.

I had my battery replaced in my iPhone 7, and also purchased a new case which came with a new screen protector and 2-year screen repair plan. For a total of $100, it’s like a brand new phone. I highly recommend this company and the process.

Ordered battery online called store was brought out to vehicle and core taken and credited to my account. Very fast service.

I located the store online, phoned to check availability of specific motorcycle battery. Paid online, arrived at store to find that the battery was not the correct one as discussed with staff. Staff should know which battery was correct for my use. Instead, they offered one that fit for an additional $50. Not what I expected. No discussion. Requested credit and left to find the right battery for a lower price elsewhere. Disappointed and good luck lasting in this marketplace with that type of service.

Days after posting a low review on the repair done I was contacted by the owner of this store. He was disappointed in my review and offered to make repairs necessary at no cost. I was reluctant but gave them a chance to make it right. He denied using refurbished parts although that is what his employees I spoke with told me. He said they use aftermarket parts. I took the phone back and the owner took good care of it this time. Said he used an Apple brand battery and parts. /Its been 3 weeks and the phone is working perfectly. I have to say 3rd time is a charm and it doesnt hurt to express your experience. Good or Bad. Now my charging port is stiff, i have to use the speaker or headphones because people cannot hear me on the mic. The store rep said its normal and that it will loosen up. Wrong. Terrible. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!for phone repairs. The store should stick to batteries only. If youre not replacing with new parts it isnt worth it.

Went there today and was trying to get a battery and charger for my Ridgid tool.I was told that they dond sell ridgid parts, as i was leaving i seel a sign on the front doors showing Ridgid tools. Not sure if the worker was an idiot or is it just false advertising??

I hesitated to post this review as I hate speaking ill of local businesses, but I had a pretty bad experience here. I had my screen repaired on 12/29/2017 as I had shattered it pretty badly. I also had a screen protector put on. I only gave 2 stars as it was affordable, and the staff was friendly and repair quick. The girl fixing the phones was very sweet, but gave me back my phone with a large bubble on the edge of the screen protector. I asked her about it, and she advised that I go home and push the bubble out myself with a credit card??? I found that a bit strange as I paid the store to install it. I tried for a while I got home and couldnt get the bubble out. A week later, my phone dropped out of my lap while I was sitting on the ground going through a drawer- less than a foot drop. It cracked straight across, starting from the large bubble I could never seem to push out. Over the next few weeks, the bottom half of my phone screen stopped working and it seemed the entire screen was coming out of the phone. I contacted Verizon to ask about replacement and it turns out the deductible on my insurance for phone repair had dropped to $30. Awesome, I went to UBREAKIFIX in San Antonio. The technician fixed my phone and when I came back in advised me that I was lucky he had extra iPhone screws laying around, as my screen had no screws on the bottom half at all and thats why it had cracked so easily and was coming out. The only other time my phone had been repaired was at Batteries Plus. All in all, it was certainly not worth the money saved getting my screen repaired here as I ended up paying for it for sure. And make sure if you do get a screen protector, they actually instal it correctly.

Do NOT let these folks replace your Samsung mobile phone battery! They poked a hole in the battery which caused smoking and potential damage of circuits and motherboard. uBreakiFix is certified Samsung service center.

The people here are very friendly and nice but when I took my phone in to get fixed at the IFIXIT store they were unable to fix my iPhone but when I got my phone back It appears my phones motherboard had been broken worse than it already was and they had ruined my phone costing me $600 for a new one.I’m not saying this to persuade you to not take your phone here just a caution and a story from my experience here.

I had my iPhone 6 Plus screen replaced here. The first time I wa so excited because it was a better deal than the Apple store and I didnt have to drive to San Antonio. BIG MISTAKE. My first new screen came OFF my phone where the entire inside of my phone was exposed, I took it back in and they gave me a really hard time and didnt want to replace it. After a long argument, they replaced it because it was under the warranty they gave. I got my phone back with the second new screen and I noticed immediately that there was dirt under the screen and weird cutouts that are by the button that look TERRIBLE. The guy who had given me a hard time earlier not only VOIDED my warranty but also wouldnt fix the mistake! My phone now constantly goes black and lines start showing up all over the screen. They messed my phone up horribly and I wont be able to re sell it!! DONT GO HERE!

Ive had some intermittent trouble with an APC UPS and the folks at Batteries Plus Bulbs, in New Braunfels, have provided excellent assistance diagnosing and, ultimately, resolving the problem. Having determined the unit needed a new battery, store manager Patrick Callender went above an beyond the call of duty getting the replacement properly seated.

Very easy to buy online, went to store to pick up my purchase and staff was busy but very friendly and let me know that they would get to me as soon as they can. They had my purchase wrapped and ready to go, no need to wait for them to find it.
