I don’t usually do reviews, but felt I had to this time. James S was awesome! Very knowledgeable and patient. He helped me through the insurance process and was not pushy at all, making the process much more enjoyable. I highly recommend Visionworks!

We had to wait a little bit but afterwards our experience improved. We were able to find what we were looking for and had all the help we could have asked for. We will definitely come back here for all our glasses needs.

Very disappointed. My son bought two pairs of glasses. Both frames are very flimsy, unlike the ones he tried on. The lenses dont fit the frames and so there is a glare around the exposed edges of the glasses. The anti-glare doesnt stop this problem.

This has been the most pleasant and informative optometrist visit I’ve ever had. Dr. Brueggemann was awesome! He was very patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. The staff were extremely helpful and patient as well. I will definitely be returning.

Don’t even bother! Terrible customer service. No acknowledgment when I walked in the door. Stood for a while waiting for a temperature check and the reps said nothing. After 5 minutes of standing around being confused, we started to walk around to view the glasses then finally a rep said you have to wait to get your temperature check first so back to waiting we went. Zero acknowledgment of our presence. No instructions of anything besides what is in the sheet at the front. Hand sanitizer was so low nothing came out. As a marketing professional myself, this is a fail in customer service.

I purchased a pair of glasses in November, I had not been able to wear them for more than 2 weeks altogether. I even had them adjusted (at another visionworks) and I was still unable to wear them. I took them back to this location, where Patricia G. took the time to adjust my glasses correctly and it made all the difference. She did not make me feel like she was too busy to help me or like I was an inconvenience. Thank you Patricia!

5 months ago, I probably would have left a good review but not now. I took my daughter there yesterday to get glasses and (after she already paid) we were told 7-10 business days before she would get her glasses. We were told that the lab techs they had were all let go with severance pay when COVID started and they arent going to bring them back. So not only do you have to wait 7-10 days but if you have to go in for warranty work, guess what? Another 7-10 days since theyll have to ship them off. How are we supposed to drive with no glasses? Furthermore, I wouldnt want to do business with a company that just gets rid of their workers with no intention on bringing em back because a pandemic.

Went in today to order a pair of sports glasses and service was wonderful! The associate that helped us was Aaron, he answered all of my questions and helped pick the glasses that work and fit best for my son. He should get a raise! Super informative, helpful, and great customer service. The store is somewhat hidden behind Willies Icehouse at Creekside, definitely worth looking for to purchase your next pair of glasses!

I paid up front for my glasses on 7/18/20 and then brought in the prescription the next day. After 2 weeks, I called & they lost my prescription and never ordered my glasses. Never even called me. Eventually they ordered them I suppose, because when I went in to get a refund, they found them in the back after digging & digging around. There was no fitting, just gave them to me & off to the waiting customers. Very disappointed in the service and lack of response/ no phone calls AT ALL-- EVER. Unsatisfied customer.

Terrible service. I paid over almost for my glasses, added the scratch recistant, non glare, and after 3 months the lens was scratch, I tooled them back and they said they couldnt do anything about it, that I would have to pay fo another set of eye glass lenses. Nerver again I would do business with them.

Called for an appointment, but recording said location in New Braunfels was closed. Website says they are open. Stayed on hold at visionworks number to try and talk to someone. Recording kept repeating to stay on line for over 15 minutes. Pitiful service. Once I finally got appointment, staff was very friendly and professional.

Great service. We were greeted quickly and informed of the promotions.I went in with my 13 year old daughter to get her first pair of glasses. with all those choices, I figured it would take hours. Patricia recommended the style that would compliment her face shape and we were able to narrow it down in 15 minutes. Went to a few other stores and the glasses were ready when we were done! She was super excited with her new glasses! We will definitely go back.

Bought my glasses from here. Awesome frames, recently came in because I bent my glasses.Aaron and Ryan were a huge help. They immediately went to work on my glasses and fixed them good as new. Also, they had a great attitude; positive and helpful.

I was so impressed that when it was time for my severely visually impaired daughter to get new glasses, I went back. They were having a BOGO special and had to special order her lenses because the prescription is so strong. I opted in for the extra insurance because she also has some behavioral challenges where she will break her frames when upset. They said it would be 10-12 days and I got a text three days later that her glasses were ready! The fitting went well and both frames looked great.Sure enough, within a few weeks she broke her glasses at school. Because of the insurance, they were able to reuse the lenses in the same frame and only charged me $20. I was so grateful. And they were able to do the replacement while I waited. I will be returning to this store when it’s time to update my prescription too!

Great customer service by Aaron. They have a good promotion going on if you are under 13 two pairs of Frames and Lenses for $99.We have eye med and have used our allowance, but they have 25% off which is better than the 20% my insurance offers.

I have never met a young salesperson as friendly and eager to go out of his way to please a customer. Aaron was quick to greet customers as they walked through the doors. He was ready to mention sales, but offered his assistance as I looked and tried different glasses.

My wife and I come here for all our family glasses. So far no problems in the past 10years. We recently replaced our rather old glasses from 2011 and updated our frames. So many choices to choose from. We have a small personal budget but were able to find frames that fit our budget. My lens and frames kept popping out over the past month and they cheerfully fixed it each time. Took them about 10 minutes yesterday to finally get the lens to stay in the frames. Something about the curve of the lens verses the curve of the frames. The tech figured it out and my glasses have not shifted or popped out a lens yet. Very good customer service by the young man that took care of my glasses yesterday evening.

Waited till New Year’s Eve to finally use my insurance for new glasses! Aaron pointed out ways I could save more with my insurance and was very knowledgeable, polite, friendly and helpful. Never made me feel rushed and even explained some of the terms used in the optometry industry. It’s kinda hard to find in Creekside because it’s a walk up location.

I went into Vinson Works on 7/3/2019. i found some glasses i really liked but wasnt sure about them or how my ins worked with them. if their cash price would be better since they had buy one get one half off. I also asked for the price contacts would be with my scrips. Aaron said that wasnt in his job description. he was very rude. he only gave me the cash rate for the glasses didnt get pricing on contacts. i left because if his attitude. came back the next day. 7/4/2019 the young lady who was there from the San Marcuse store and tabo im not sure how to spell his name were both tremendously helpful! They both gave me their honest opinions and helped me get a perfect pare of glasses a frame i hadnt even looked at, the sunshades they found for me came from back stock they where not even out. they truly went above their job description to help me. a few days later i called to pick up my sunshades Aaron was there yet again, the glasses had to be ordered since the ones in the store were scratched. Aaron did not ask for any prof of identification, no last name, no DOB. nothing he handed me my glasses and i immediately saw a scratched on them . i told them he said no they are fine its a smudge took them out of my hand and wiped them off said there you go. the scratch is in the middle of my line of sight. so i told him a gain and pointed it out. he said of its fine you will not even be able to see it. i said i just payed well over $300.00 for my glasses and you are saying a scratch is fine???? at that point i was up set i said ill just call and report this tomorrow. i was also told id have my regular glasses back no later than 7 days. we are well over that now and every time i call i get Aaron and a new excuse why they are not ready, until this last time i got a what sounded like an older lady. who was helpful, she said she would order new lenses for my ray bands right away. She also said shes sorry its taking longer than i was told but they do not have someone to cut the lenses in store its taking longer. Im very upset with the way Aaron handles customers.

I went to check out visionworks due to had a ad in the mail and wanted to check it out. I walked in and was greeted and my husband and I looked around for new glasses. I then went to ask help and spoke with Tavo. I explained to him about everything I was looking for from blue lenses for screening time to transitions. Well after some time discussing the situation I asked what I really came in to see if someone could fix my glasses due to they come from europe and no one really wanted to fix them for me, he went and tried to fix it and I was the happiest person ever. Beyond customer service and I am thankful for the service that Tavo gave me. Will come back again to potentially buy glasses in the future.

I was in a serious pickle when I found out my boss nearly ruined his glasses by sleeping on them all night. Needless to say he is not a small man. When I called the Visionworks at La Cantera panicking, Marissa not only tracked down his old info and helped me purchase a new backup pair, but she somehow repaired his mangled pair back to new. Marissa is my hero! She was so understanding, professional and on top of things. Also, when leaving I received a warm goodbye from all the other employees! I’m a little late on this review due to my hectic work schedule but i felt it was still necessary. I sat on my glasses a few weeks back and dreaded going shopping for new frames due to my previous experience with this vision works location. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a enthusiastic “how are you doing?!” and a smile by the whole staff, it kind of caught me off guard. As I was looking around, Aaron approached me and let me know there was a special going on for 2 pairs for $49 (I had come into the store with the intention of only buying one pair) Aaron let me know that it was the deal of a lifetime and doesn’t happen too often so I had to jump on it. I’m constantly getting compliments on my new frames and I owe that to Aaron for helping me pick out the perfect pairs. I will refer all of my friends to him! Overall I’m extremely satisfied with the progress this store has made! A great personality goes a long way! Management, please keep up the great improvements to the Vision Works staff.

Kudos to Aaron at Visionworks in New Braunfels. This was my first time using my new Vision insurance VSP. We had a bit of a hiccup locating my plan initially. After I called customer service and figured out the problem, Aaron finished were he left off. I apologized for keeping him there late, but he reassured me that he was going to take of me. I ended up ordering a new pair of eyeglasses and a new sunglasses. He provided great customer service and should be recognized for doing so. They are hidden behind Newks restaurant in Creekside and worth visiting.
