Friendly knowledgeable staff. Huge selections. Owners are amazing people. Shopping here, especially during Covid is an absolute joy. Definitely try one of their amazing fresh smoothies.

Best place to shop in New Braunfels for health & wellness. This place is Jam packed with amazing stuff. You would never think looking from the outside it has such a variety of high quality amazing items we all need to take us up a few notches. I was surprised they had such a great choice of CBD stuff too. Their smoothie & shake bar is great. I asked for a recommendation and was very pleased. I added a few sticks of quality licorice which I had not found anywhere else, and I was set. This place is a hidden gem and it should not be. Tell all your friends and they too will be amazed.

Such a great store. They truly understand health and what it takes to heal the body. Some of the best herb products out there.... especially the paracide capsules.They also have the best crushed tomato products.. try the onion garlic basil... no oil no salt.. just the best ingredients!

This place is the best!! We moved from a larger city and I was really nervous to not have access to things I would normally grab at whole foods. Ive been able to find everything I need here and being able to support local. An absolute must for all of your supplements and alternative products. I also love their fresh juices and teas! Staff is really knowledgeable and helpful as well!

I’ve shopped at this store for years. Over the years the employees have been good and bad. There are 2 or 3 women who are always nice and helpful. However, lately when I’ve been going in I’ve been very disappointed. It seems that the majority of their employees couldn’t care less that you’re even in the store. Today I was in there for 30 min and no one said a single word to me. Even when I paid I wasn’t acknowledged. One employee even made me feel that I was in her way while she was restocking and couldn’t bother to ask if I needed help. Good store, but the customer service is terrible.

Today I visited For Goodness Sake and noticed several customers without masks. I asked the girl at the register if they allowed people in without masks during a pandemic. She said yes that the store removed the sign requiring masks. Then she sneered at me as I rushed out saying I will not ever return to their store. A pandemic IS NOT political!!!! And to allow such UNhealthy behavior does not bode well for a “health” store. I figure they care more about their pocketbooks than their customers. I WAS a loyal customer but WILL NOT ever go back. They are too expensive anyway. Go to another store that cares about health!

We got a green juice and a beet juice and they were both so fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and just what you’d expect from a small local business.

The store is immaculate, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. And the wine department, my personal favorite, consists of high quality, carefully curated, organic options. Pair it with organic chocolate, and, voila, dinner is served!

I would like to right a wrong about this store. Someone said in a review they were here a few months back at the store and nobody was wearing masks. This is Comal County and back then each county made up its own minds whether to wear masks or not. For Goodness Sake was not in violation of any law like the reviewer was very chessilly trying to imply. . As soon as the county made it mandatory everyone promptly started wearing masks. They also put a plug in for Whole Foods. There isnt a Whole Foods for quite a few miles around here. I go to For Goodness Sake about once a week. The people are friendly and are very quick to helping you get what you want. I rely on them because they are very knowledgeable about herbs and supplements so they can get you the right product for the right needs. Another big thing is they are the only place I know of that sell herbs in bulk. If you read anyone make negative comments about this store they are probably the competition. Very weak competition.

I head to For Goodness Sake regularly for my healthcare supports. Their staff are incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions and provide suggestions. Especially during COVID, Im so happy to have a place in town I trust and rely on.

I really enjoy shopping at For Goodness Sake Natural Food store. I have used this store for many years and I always find what I want there. The staff is great and helpful all the time. Joni has helped me more often than most of the other sale people. She is always nice and try very hard to answer all the questions I have. I like their rewards program. It takes a little while to get $25 but at least it is something. I also enjoy all their free magazines and the senior newspaper. It is a great store!!!

Friendly and helpful customer service. If this store does not have something you want ask to see if they can order it for you. This store carries Justin’s Peanut Butter Cups. I cannot consume peanuts so asked if they would order Justin’s Almond Butter Cups. I was called two days later that the item had arrived in store. Thank you so much!

This little store is an absolute treasure much like New Braunfels itself! Not only do they have the products that can keep us all healthy but the staff is both knowledgeable and courteous. Luanne is awesome about sharing feed back from other customers if I ever tell her I am considering a new product.

I had a wonderful experience in this store. The dark-haired lady named Joni is exceptionally knowledgeable and spent a good deal of time explaining products to me. All the employees were nice and friendly. They did get a little busy, but I noticed the employees did their best to talk with everyone who needed assistance. Lovely store.

I was disappointed that the employees, including the manager, were not wearing protective masks to protect their customers from Covid - 19. We are over 60 and many of the people that shop there are elderly. I called to express my disappointment and the lady I talked with was defensive and told me that they were following Texas guidelines and had the right to wear a mask or not. We also shop at Whole Foods where all of the employees respectfully wear masks to protect their customers and themselves. People that shop at natural food stores are very health cautious. We will never shop at For Goodness Sake Natural Food in New Braunfels again.Hope

Great local shop for a great variety of natural products ranging from personal care, small home decor, cleaning products, supplements, teas, beer/wine/soda, canned and jarred items and local meat, eggs and veggies. There is also a smoothie bar! I have never tried the smoothies here, but Everytime I shop, I see multiple people order at the smoothie bar window. I have even ordered a few specialty items here too. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I very much enjoy coming in here! The selection and atmosphere are both outstanding. The only negative thing I have to say is that the staff has never seemed very friendly. Otherwise, everything is great.

Gave a one star only because it wont allow you to give a negative! Went into For Goodness Sakes today with a friend, shes a regular customer there( was), I go with her every now and usually spend too much on something. My rheumatologist told me to try cbd salve for some extra relief. I was really hoping to find thc free and was asking questions about this. My friend was there the other day and had gotten a sample, I asked to get one to try, not only was I told they dont give them, they proceeded to try and sell me a tiny sample and said that they gave my friend one cause she seemed to really need it in a very condescending voice as she looked at me. I handed her back the sample I was about to pay for, she slammed it on the counter. I will never go back and my friend who is a regular customer will probably never go back. Unacceptable customer care!

Just walking into the store the smell is amazing. They offer plenty of options for really anything that you need health wise. An amazing selection on teas.

When I found this shop, I couldnt leave because they had almost everything I have looked for at other places. That was 7 years ago! My go-to for real natural, organic & non-gmo foods, supplements, essential oils, beauty items, diffusers, teas, spices, coffee, cold fresh food, shelf foods & snacks, a smoothie stand, my Naturtint hair color.. on & on! Michael & other staff are very knowledgeable & I now have normal blood work from my Mag07, Sovereign Silver & eating clean :) I better stop here. 👍

No hello at the door, weird looks while Im shopping, and they made me feel like I do not belong there. Seriously so upsetting because Ive heard great things about this place. Cute store & great selection! ...but most all of the staff are stuck-up and rude. Even as they help you they are condescending. Believe me I wouldnt be in here if I could find another place with such good selection. I budget well so I can buy the things I want; unbelievable how they treat someone who drops AT LEAST $100 every trip in. No smiles, no good to see you, & they try to put extremely heavy items in paper bags or over-stuff the plastic ones, poor customer service skills. Ive been trying to find the things I want on-line so I dont get spoken to like a child.

I have previously had negative and frustrating experiences within this store. For myself personally, as well as complaints from clients of mine whom I have referred to this location for particular items and special orders.I have been in several times in the past 2 months, and have had some really nice experiences, which have reminded me of why I fell in love with this quaint little store when I first became a resident to the New Braunfels area.I was so pleased to see some of the items I have previously tried to special order, and have had clients attempt to special order, actually be in stock on shelf! HUGE compliments for this! The store seems to be expanding a bit with more of a variety of selection and some new smiling and knowledgeable staff members. Someone even helped me carry my things to my vehicle for me since I had little ones with me. Wish I had gotten her name!While I am still quite uneasy about placing a special order of any kind, and will make sure that my clients get specific details when placing one, I am happy to once again feel that this is my store, and feel proud to refer my clients, even the ones whom live out of town, to this establishment.

I will probably not be going back to this store. The rudeness of your employees is ridiculous. Had one young guy offer help but the older women acted as if they were bothered we were even in the store. One time even pushing her way through to help someone else and never asking if we needed anything. Merry Christmas, if your that unhappy seek help or find another job. Disgruntled employees really irritate me.

I am not giving a 1-star review because the staff & management were not wearing masks. It is because they made me feel extremely unwelcomed for wearing a mask. I overheard them making comments about me when I walked in. A friend that has lived in NB your years said that they have been against wearing masks even during the height of the pandemic. This business will not be effected by me not spending money here ever again, I just wanted others to know how the local Health food store treats people who choose to be extra cautious and continue to wear a mask.
