Must be a new owner now, sign is ripped down with the name and no carousel is in the front. Knew something was off, ordered a scoop of cherry vanilla and a scoop of cookies and cream- ice cream was soft not hard, seemed to be freezer burnt with ice flakes, extremely dissatisfied with this latest experience. Complete waste of $12!!!!! My mind was blown with the lack of quality to cost. Was a favorite neighborhood ice cream spot but now will get a cone a McDonald’s instead if we don’t take the ride to downtown for better quality for the same cost. Awful.

Really nice people, but a long wait even if you walk up and there’s no one ahead of you. I understand that they have to prioritize the drive-thru because they can’t fit that many cars there and can’t back up the busy road they’re on, but it’s frustrating to wait that long. Also prices aren’t very good. I think it’s Gifford’s ice cream, not bad at all, but not crazy good. I’m admittedly very picky about ice cream but I wouldn’t choose to go here, we went because our friends wanted to.

It has soft serve! The large is huge, even for an ice cream lover like me! Everyone was pleasant and cheerful

Went last night for ice cream. Worst experience ever. It seemed like it may have been the owners who were working the window and had no idea what they were doing at the register at all. Not to mention... no masks or gloves... on either of them. They overcharged us ($34 for a med vanilla cone, small strawberry smoothie and a banana split - real cost 20$) and it took forever to figure out and correct the mistake and when we were finally able to open the split... this is what was inside. Until they can rehire staff... dont do it. My husband threw this right into the trash. 😥

Love Bills...we lived in Westville 25 years ago and used to go all the time...now our granddaughters are in school there so we can stop for a treat...its expensive for ice cream but its worth it for an occasional treat.everything is fresh and the servings are generous...

My kids enjoy trying different flavors, and topings. I find it way better than Dip Top. Definitely worth the drive!

I got a vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles on a cone. A classic favorite that Ive been ordering since the 80s. I must tell you this ice cream brought me back to how things used to taste. My girl got a lemon Italian ice. The consistency was perfect, slushie like and the taste was not too sweet, refreshing on a hot day.

The best ice cream that you can get in New Haven, no doubt :) The owner is really friendly, and can always make you smile - and only he has the enthusiasm to be open during the winter, sometimes until midnight - just for that one person thats CRAVING soft serve. Theres a drive through - but I recommend parking your car, and having a conversation with them - its a wonderful experience. Lots of flavors - but classic vanilla has never failed me.

Could definitely tell the ice cream was homemade. I had the classic chocolate and vanilla combo and it was very yummy.

Flavored Soft Serve! There is literally every flavor you can imagine. Always friendly, great service and outstanding Ice Cream. My personal favorite is Coconut soft serve in a chocolate dipped waffle cone.

Used to be a great neighborhood fixture but the new owners are little more than a couple of scam artists. Everything costs more than twice as much as it should.

Overly Priced! They should fix the $ sign for this place. I only got 1 soft serv ice-cream cone. Not too long ago, like 6-12 months max, a Large soft serve ice-cream cone was $4.25. Now its almost $7.00 ($6.56)! Its not like its Rich Farms, where they make it from scratch. Its just soft serv.

This is my favorite place to get dessert in CT. The owner always say hi to me and is just in general a very kind hearted person that treats his customers like family. Ice cream is fairly priced with plenty of options to choose from. My favorite is the soft serve chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone dipped in Peanut butter dip. They also stay open pretty late which is pretty cool. There’s a few benches to sit on and they also have a drive thru. Ive been going here for two years highly recommend!

Drive thru was the way to buy. Products & prices clearly listed. Staff hustled to kerp the cars moving. My scoops of butter pecan & vanilla choc chip were a bit grainy but the flabors were strong.

So glad I decided to give this place a try when all the other ice cream shops in New Haven either had zero parking within a 1 mile radius, or closed at 9pm (the time I start craving for dessert)!!!

Paid 8 dollars for hot fudge sundae w walnuts. It was very small and hardly had any hot fudge. not to mention the fudge wasnt hot. I immediately called to voice my opinion to which owner was disrespectful. Go to dairy queen.

Visited about an hour after the dinner rush. Two hot dogs with everything on them and some fries. Asked for everything on them with clarification only if its free. Got some sass from the female worker there by asking where our food was after waiting 10 minutes without an update. After 15 minutes the male worker proceeded to put every extra topping on there asking for $18 for the two standard (and microwaved) hot dogs and small fry with a completely straight face.At my initial surprise the worker took back the hot dogs in an attempt to remove the toppings with an air of frustration and annoyance. Miscommunications happen all the time. Work to minimize them is important (order read back, order time updates when it takes much longer than what a reasonable customer would expect). Its the business reaction to them that matters the most. Two frustrated and annoyed workers /never/ creates a positive experience for the customer.

There is a woman there with blond hair she was blowing her nose with her gloves on when asked to change it she said technically I wasnt supposed to be at the window it is drive thru only. Well you took my money and the line behind me u ! gonna take their money also like lady cut the shenanigans. I asked the owner for a my money back since his employee wouldnt change her gloves he tells me that there are no refunds like what bruh my order came up to 30 bucks and you guys cant practice serve safe WOW very unhappy with my visit

Classic ice cream spot in Westville area of New Haven. A little pricey, but worth it.Theyve been here for decades, and theres good reason for that. Great soft serve options. Also have take home pints. Dont go for the cjhurros though, not tasty enough. Ice cream is delicious though!
