Dont remember much about this visit, but usually B. & N. is fine.
Over priced University of Delaware clothes store. Go to 5 and 10 across the street for more choices and less expensive.
A decent selection of books and UD merch
There is now UD Creamery inside of Barnes and Noble. Whoopee, right on Main Street. All the flavors are so yummy
Took my pre-teen son to a bookstore that was close to home, he was enthused by it and bought a book
Its the UD bookstore. Thats it. The people are always friendly and helpful in there. Good place to get the blue books for testing at UD. Cool merch, but usually overpriced (in my opinion).
Beautiful bookstore. UD Creamery inside delicious.
Location is clean and well stocked.
Talk about excellent customer service.......kudos ladies.
UD Creamery now located inside, ice cream is available here.
A lot of variety and intriguing items here.
All the UD needs, books, sweatshirts and supplies but very expensive
We actually just walked by and didnt go in but my husband used to work here and I know the staff works very hard.
Overpriced and overpriced. What a ripoff. You need to take out a second mortgage to buy a t shirt here, and thats just for the very off-brands.
Its the University bookstore with a small B&N attached. Good for official souvenirs, though obviously overpriced.
Way over priced
It was a pleasure to be here. I recommend this store
Spent many a time here at the good ole Barnes & Noble. If you need a textbook they have it, if you need some UD gear they have it. Pro tip, check the sales rack!
Very clean....they have been taking good steps with covid in order to ensure the guests safety .. things are hard to find once in a while but you can eventually find them within 3 minutes
I was here a couple months back and wanted to purchase a book but saw that it had been printed upside down. It was the only copy left and I really wanted the book but wanted to know if it was possible to get a small discount because of the way it was printed. When I reached the register that employee would not give me a discount which I understand sometimes they dont have the authorization to do so but she then would not call her manger to come upfront and talk to me. She took my book and I was basically forced to buy a different book. Very disappointing.Other than that the whole store is clean and very nice area to walk around and peruse.
Thank you Apple in the bookstore. Great staff! You saved my son who had a piece of his case stuck in his phone the day before freshman classes started, only 8% battery, not able to charge his phone and panicking. Everyone at B&N is always very helpful. Great store.
Great place to go study or buy books. The atmospheres perfect for studying reading. The only reason I wouldnt give this place five stars is that, as a student, they dont stay open long enough.
Great book store with a lot more than just books. Was really impressed by all the things this store had. And has the best selection of Delaware swag.
It’s always a pleasure to visit. Staff is super helpful. Tons of variety.
University of Delaware book store. Very nice
They’re good mostly but sometimes maybe they could have a little more knowledgeable staff that would be more helpful
Love this store. I visit it at least twice a week, and it never ceases to amaze me that I find something new every time. Huge selection of everything from games and puzzles, to text books, to clothing. They also have a good sized cafe inside, complete with charging outlets at every seat, so its a great quiet place to get some work done when you get tired of dealing with the noise and hustle and bustle of places like Starbucks.
Im not into the while mall experience anymore but this is one of the exceptions. Located in Christiana Mall in Christiana, Delaware I always stop in to see whats in stock. Be it books, games, puzzles or magazines Branes & Noble does an excellent job of sticking the latest amd many hard to find books and items. While I do have a Samsung Galaxy pad I still prefer the feel of having a good book in my hands to ready and B & N has the best selection around of every category you can imagine. They also have a nice DVD and read aloud DVD publications covering both classical and modern stories and biographies. The cafe located in the store is also a nice touch offering coffee, tea, water etc as well as some comfort food allowing you to read and relax on your own time.I enjoyed Borders Books when they were open but it didnt have all of the amenities that B & N has and the selection is a little better at Barnes also.
Horrible customer service. Forget coming here if youre an Asian dude, and you need to ask one of those racists in there for help, let alone expect them to give you friendly customer service smiles. They might as well put a sign up that says Asian males are welcomed to come in, but yall will not get normal friendly customer service from us.
Great place to shop people are nice they help you when you need help when you can’t find out then you can ask them and they be happy to help you all the time you don’t have to wade the common help you right away is the best place to shop
Had a nice lunch, it was spring break so not many people. Only one hard working girl behind the counter, but she did a great job of getting everybody served rather quickly.
WE LOVE BARNES AND NOBLE, THEY HAVE EVER BOOK YOU COULD WANT, THEY HAVE A LITTLE AREA FOR THE CHILDREN TO READ AND TOYS TO BUY, THEY ALSO HAVE A WOMEN THAT READS TO THE CHILDREN, THEY HAVE A STARBUCKS THEIR ALSO, ALOT OF DIFFERENT MAGAZINES, A GREAT STORE FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS
I love this bookshop! I love being able to browse books anonymously, without being reminded that I didnt buy them ....
Cant even be bothered to keep in-stock the books they charge an arm-and-a-leg for.Pros: Nice building, friendly staff. Starbucks on the ground floor and apple store on the second just in case you forgot you were in a college town.Cons: I dont care how friendly they are, Im not paying $50 for a damn T-shirt. Books are a little cheaper at Libermans and WAY cheaper on Amazon.
It is a combination U of D bookstore, Barnes & Noble, U of D apparel, and a cafe too! Really enjoyed myself. Wish I had more time to spend there!
Bookstores are becoming an endangered species but hopefully this one will stick around a long, long time. A great place to peruse and sample literature.
The books are really expensive but B&N price matches so, thats the best you can get. They have electronics (apple products) and a lot of UD merchandise. The merchandise is VERY EXPENSIVE. But, its really good too. They offer discounts every now and then. Also, a lot of books are available for rent here too. The people are helpful and the stores really good.
University of Delaware bookstore. Nice merchandise. Prices could be better. Taking advantage of college students and their parents.
Friendly and helpful staff. Super small collection. Closes at 7pm, which doesnt make sense - arent these usually open until 11pm?
Its a good and quiet place. You can find good collection of books here and grab a cup of coffee and from Star bucks.
Architecture is banging
Nice store but a little pricey for college students.
Always have books and supplies I need for my college student. Very helpful and friendly.
In regards to renting books, you must be very careful as they are not honest in making you aware when a book is not one that you rented from them. They took a very expensive book back from my son, and just said You are all set, and were not honest enough to state that it was not rented from the UD bookstore. Now we out $252. Ouch.
Very nice and spacious book store with friendly staff.
Excellent Barnes And Noble In Delaware University we had a beautiful time and a great bookstore and novelties and University clothing gear for school and for football fighting Blue Hens
Good if your a college student but when with the family the one in the mall is better
The staff during summer session has no clue what theyre doing. They tried to say that i needed to return a book that was rented, or i would be charged full price. I didnt rent a book. I bought one at full price. This happened both summer sessions with the same employee. Unacceptable.
Has a lot of gift items as well as a pleasant cafe. Also, has power outlets and eduroam if you are in need of somewhere to regroup a while.
Nice selection. Staff was rather irritating.
Really good place to chill a little bit and have a coffee.
Love the massive selection, the comfy chairs and the coffee.
Liebermans is less expensive, but B&N has a larger selection of clothing
Great Barnes and Noble. Selection was nice with good mix of U D wear.
Great cafe, staff are helpful with books and picking out items.
Used my discount card and they took an extra % off of already marked down items.
This store is very clean, contains a Starbucks, and has a large selection of products. Their inventory includes: University of Delaware apparel, textbooks, other books, desk toys, Apple products, Legos, notebooks, snacks, and boardgames among other things. Some of the goods here are more expensive than other places but that is expected at Barns & Noble.
Quite a small one. Lots of books are stored under general even when there are more appropriate categories.
Small, but pretty inside. Parking is hard to find, but workers are very helpful.
Good place to find a good book
The selection of books is small, but the reason to go there is to get textbooks for the semester at UD. The cafe thats attached is nice though.
Not as large as a true Barnes and Noble as it is also the school store. But the inside is quite nice and there is a Starbucks /lounge area.
If you are in Newark, stop by here. Beautiful store. Easy to kill time here!
Two main points:1). When it comes to buying/renting books, this is the last place I will ever go to. Ive had to buy/rent books from this place three times in my four years of being at UD because I could not find the specific texts anywhere else. All three times, I would request a USED book to rent/buy and when they do not have any used (despite it being an option) they give you a brand new one and charge you for the new one. This is a bad issue, because I was expecting to spend 15$ on a used book and got charged 50$ for a new book, and did not receive an email about that charge. It took me reading my bank statement to see what they have done.2). ALL OF THE PRICE TAGS ON NOTEBOOKS/YEAR PLANNERS/ ETC ARE ALWAYS OUT OF ORDER. Nothing is ever the same price of the sticker that is below the stack of product. Now, I have been working retail for 3 years now and know how to match up product skus to the right product. A school year planner caught my eye and I saw that it was over a 3$ sticker. I automatically knew this could not be right because the sku did not match up and also the planner looked way too nice to only be 3$. I searched that whole row and could not find a matching product tag for the planner and then realized that NOTHING ON THAT RACK MATCHED UP WITH THE PRICE TAG IT WAS UNDER. The cashier told me that they might have been doing some reorganizing in that section or something, but I highly doubt its true because the same incident has happened way too many times when I have gone to the bookstore to buy a blue book or any other school supplies. The staff is nice (minus the one cashier that seemed moody - did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?) and I was able to return my textbook that I did not need anymore for a class simply, but there is room for improvement.
Just for short-term study at UD and found this great place, buying resting here is so great for me
Great shop in the middle of downtown Newark, has a Starbucks inside with plenty of space.
Amazing place to read, shopping and relax!
Lots of awesome UD apparel but more expensive than the other place on Main Street.
Has all course books and a wide range of UD merch, as well as efficient staff, but not great as a bookstore for browsing or, really, for looking for anything not related to classes.
Its barely got any books, mostly its all this blue and gold colored crap. And half the books are textbooks. Youd think this was a campus bookstore or something.
Super cool place to visit, lots of U.F. stuff, but a little expensive...
Clean and organized. Helpful staff.
Extremely helpful staff.
Good service and many textbooks. As long as you get your textbooks before the semester starts, youll avoid the huge textbook lines at the semesters start.
Great day spent at UD Barnes & Noble
Chris in tech section is great!!
Clean and quiet book store. Typical Barnes and Nobles.
Great university bookstore!
So expensive. Also, I bought a book from them Ann cost me about $200. When I want to sell it to them they give me $5 although the book is clean. I had to sell jt because I was traveling.
Very expensive. It has Starbucks inside which is cool.
Good book store
Its not like regular BNs for college students Not adults
Good selection of books and products
Unbelievably rude customer service.
Terrible service, hostile workers when I went
Best place on main Street
Huge, more of a UD clothing store though.
Great place to buy books
Love this book store
The staff is very rude and everything is over priced
The campus store is horrible, shouldnt call themselves Barnes and Noble......
Good selection.
Great customer service
This place even got vinyl and hard to find books.
The selection of books are limited, catering more to the college kids
Great options, good people, good prices
Has different brands, with varying prices for UD apparel.
