I have been a patient here for more than 6 years. I went in yesterday 3/1/21 and the girl at the counter told me I had to fill out a NEW PATIENT form. She said it was because they had changed the doctor, but the last two years I was here I have seen Dr. Murillo and thats who the doctor was yesterday. Then she asked me if my insurance changed and I said no but she then wanted a new card. What part of not changed does she not understand? Then lastly she asked how am I going to pay for the glasses?, duh, the insurance. By this time I am upset. I just took my ID and insurance cards back from her and the papers I completed and left. What type of people do they have working here and whoever hired her probably did it to help a friend or family member out but she needs training. They just lost another customer.

They will do the exams and send you the bill later, be prepared. They billed my medical insurance instead of the vision insurance. I was instructed by my insurance to have them credit and rebill. When I called to fix had a hard time finding the office manager to speak with, then I was told that they charged me for an exam and that I had to pay no matter what because the insurance wouldnt cover.I was then told that my bill was corrected then later received by mail the same bill, nothing changed.If you are planning to use I recommend asking for a price without the insurance, it might be cheaper and less trouble this way.

Best Eye Dr. I ever had. Staff on point. Dr. Is very concern help you save money. I had know idea that my insurance company would reimburse me up too $100.00 know other Dr. has told me that. He is great and it seems like he loves what he does. He will be missed if he decides too Retire .

I paid $280 for contacts. It’s been over a month and I call every week asking if they have come in. Instead of staff checking on the order they just keep telling me they’re waiting for the box to come in. IT HAS BEEN OVER A MONTH. Do you think they would offer trial pairs in the mean time...no. Never again.

Dangerous! During this time of Covid19, this office is extremely small, crowed with people and some of its patients where not wearing any mask!I dont understand how the Doctor even work with the patient one on on!!!?? Families with children in waiting room! This is Essex County one of the highest covid19 area reported. I wonder if they even sanitized ! I always loved this doctor but I (my family) have to look else! May you all be safe!

Dr. Feinstein and his associates provided great customer service. The Dr. was thorough in his explanation of the process and answering my questions. He was also very neat, wiping hands and surfaces which is important to me. Good first impression overall.

Dr. Feinstein, is truly a gifted optometrist when it comes to the health of your eyes. I have been a patient of his for 25+ years my wife around 20. The staff are very helpful the Doc is amazing. I know I am funny cause I am a comedian but I never joke around with Doc. He is very serious business focused.Can you see the letters A E C F X L W T U let me change the focus. Well you know we have contacts right. See thats the problem I am left handed.Doc test you for glaucoma, eye pressure and other test. Listen all this said is Dr. Michael Feinstein is a true professional.

Ive been to some eye doctors but Dr. Feinstein is by far a great doctor. He explained my vision and helped me understand why Im farsighted. He is a very nice doctor including his staff, they were very helpful and honest.

I love coming here. I have never been to doctor that is more accommodating, caring, and take the time to listen and understand your questions and concerns. I have recommended Dr. Feinstein to multiple people - including my whole family - and absolutely plan on continuing to come here! They also have an incredibly quick turnaround on contact deliveries (which is amazing when you plan poorly before traveling like I do!).

Dr. Feinstein has to be one of the best doctors Ive been to. Instead of feeling nervous, he makes me feel at ease with his wonderful sense of humor. He and his staff are very accommodating.

Excellent service. Doctor and staff were great. Jeannie was extremely helpful and pleasant in assisting me with finding the right glasses. The front desk staff at the doctors office were courteous in letting me know the appointment schedule was a little tight. This way I didnt have to sit around and wait. My visit (including picking out glasses) took 40 minutes. Very impressive!!

I did my research on this particular Doctor and I must say the staff was very kind and welcoming. The doctor was very knowledgeable. He went into details explaining everything I needed to know. I was never rushed. I highly recommend this doctor. Very professional.

I took my nine year old son to get his eye exam and it was the most informative eye exam he ever had. Both the doctor and his staff were super helpful and open with information.My son loved his experience as well. He even received a tutorial on how to properly take his eye glasses off to prevent them from getting lopsided.

I have been going to Dr. Feinstein for years now and he is awesome. I was born with cataracts, which is rare but I was initially impressed when he was familiar with Dr. Wagner, who did my cataract removal surgery in the 1980s and confirmed he did an amazing job. He also referred me to a specialist who would be the best at doing my implants. It just feels like he is always on my side.

I have been going here for years. The staff has always been great. Today I witnessed customer service at its finest by Jeanette, she handled an irate customer with ease. She never missed a beat inspite of the office being unusually short staffed her friendliness and professionalism remained in tact as she continued to serve clearly allowing her experience to hold down the situation.Thank you Jeanette for your professionalism, continue to raise the bar for our community.

Very good eye doctor. I have been with him since I was a kid.

My visit was amazing the doctor was very helpful & wanted to make me fully aware of everything I need to know concerning my eyes he & his staff was very nice friendly & polite I will definitely be returning for future visits.

Unfortunately I wont be going back. I had an appointment today. The person covering for the doctor was a no show. I never received a call telling me otherwise. When I showed up, no one apologized. They were just blah. They just said someone erroneously scheduled me for next Saturday and not today. I needed new contacts urgently. Disappointed :(

Dr. Feinstein never disappoints. Thorough and willing to answer any questions you have. The staff is always courteous. Wait time is minimal.

I have been going to this doctor for years. Suddenly, my integrity is being questioned by his staff regarding my health insurance. They will not set an appointment for me because there is some confusion as to where they should bill. This is ridiculous. Is it a matter of payment or are they questioning my integrity as to who my Insurance carrier is? Ive been on the phone with the health insurance, but they still wont set the appointment. Im forced to find other eye services.I agree. The staff is horrible and unknowlegeable

Hes been my eye Doctor for years - I moved out of Newark to Woodbridge and still made the trip. I recommend him highly. I also get complimented all of the time on my eye glasses - they always have the nicest frames.

So I’ve been to several eye doctors in the past. None of the eye doctors I’ve gone to have been able to really understand what I’m telling them. This time, I really felt like the eye exam was thorough enough and that he really listened to me. The ONLY negative thing I can say is the parking wasn’t so easy to find. Sure Newark has parking garages but for 30min the “cheapest” I found was $4.50 RIDICULOUS! I was there for about 1hr 40min waiting to be called and with the exam.I give 5 stars to the doctor and the staff but the parking gets 1 star so if you’re driving there be at least an hour earlier! But if you have the money to pay $18 for 2 hours do you 😅

I have been going to see Dr. Feinstein since 1995. He will be my eye doctor until he retires. Dr. Feinstein is the absolute best because he really enjoys what he does.

Visited office 2/17/17, staff not so hot (more interested in going to the store across the street). Prior to my visit I called, and was told they take walk-ins, when I did, the staff told me ye, you walk-in and make an appointment, when asked why couldnt I make the appointment over the phone, she looked at me as if I suddenly had three heads. Had report from previous exam (from another Dr. 3yrs. ago), was told to show it to the Dr. When I did, he asked why didnt show it to staff, told him I did, they said show you, he took report and gave the hell, came back and profusely apologized. As far as the exam, he was through and professional, when he realized I was a new patient, he introduced himself, and gave a brief tutoriial, of who he was and what was going to happen. answering my questions in laymans terms as opposed to Dr. speak. Recommended him to a friend this morning. Thank you Dr. Feinstein, I do hope your staff get their selves together.

Went there for an exam and he referred me to Retina exam. Called back for a follow up on my retina exam and secretaries only cared about my health insurance not covering eye care
