I was hesitant to switch from a mom and pop pharmacy to a huge chain like Walmart, but I am SO glad I did. I take approx 15 prescription medications, two are mailed to me from a specialty pharmacy, but the bulk come thru this Walmart Pharmacy. It can be a real chore to keep all of my meds organized and to make sure I dont run out of something, but this pharmacy helps me with that and using their app is super helpful. The employees have been friendly, kind, and have been able to answer all of my questions every single time. I have not had one bad experience there. Some of the employees know me by name and you dont usually get that kind of attention at a big chain.I got a notification from Walmart today that I had a prescription ready. Immediately following I got a message from my Dr that she had just called it in. The message from doctor was sent thirteen minutes ago and it was already ready to be picked up.Some medications can have a stigma or negative judgement attached, but not one time have I felt that at this pharmacy. Quite the opposite. As long as I live in this area I will continue to use this Pharmacy and I only have good things to say about them.I appreciate them and they make my already complicated health issues SO much simpler. Thanks guys!!
Terrible. I want to preface this with the fact that I do not live in town. I went to pick up a prescription for my rheumatoid arthritis that had been called in by my doctor 3 hours before. When I got there they said I couldnt pick up my medicine because it needed a diagnosis code. No one could call or text alert me through their system to inform me? Said they would alert me when I could pick it up. Waited almost a week. Called doctor and said they sent code several days before. Again, they didnt inform me. Finally got the medicine picked up and their text system alerts me its ready an hour later. 🙄 I wish it ended there. Had an allergic reaction to my medicine 3 weeks later. Doctor prescribed a new medicine. Went to pick it up hours later, its on back order and has been for months and they say theyre waiting to hear from my docter again to approve another medication. Again, no one bothered to inform me. Again, a wasted trip to town. Still doesnt end there. They said they would alert me when one was approved and ready. Called 6 days later to my doctor who informs me a new medicine had been approved 2 days prior. No one from Walmart informed me. Doctor also prescribed another medicine to help me short term. Went all the way in town, AGAIN, and of course my second medicine needs a diagnosis code. Why? Do they not have it for the last medicine?!?! Very irritating. Lousy customer service with the extreme lack of communication.
First visit I had a lot of difficulty transferring a prescription, and when that went through, they told me a 20 minute wait for them to make the order which ended up being an hour (not really follow up during the wait). They simply said it was busy (at 9 AM?), but it would be easy next month. Good enough I suppose. Second visit, I showed up 7 hours after my prescription was to be ready (via phone order the day before). They said they were out of of stock and to wait 2 days. They asked if I had gotten a phone call from them, as I was registered to receive one in a case like this. I did not. They said the person must have forgotten and reiterated that they were busy. I was calm throughout, although a little rude at the end when I said its not my fault youre busy and your rep forgets to make calls to which the conversation ended.Expect no follow up when there are delays. Expect no apologies. Expect mistakes without taking accountability.
Yep
