This place was great. Everyone was so nice and greeted me when I walked in. My stylist was Pink and she was just great. She gave me the exact color I wanted and charged a fair price. I had a ton of questions and she answered all of them. The salon itself was super clean and so cute. I would recommend this place to anyone. These ladies are talented and are great with any kind of hair. I also was able to get an appointment super fast.

She is always up front about the prices so I know what to expect, she is knowledgeable about services and techniques and, baby, my Black, African American 4c curly hair is straight and sleek!The salon itself is stylish and posh, even with the renovation work they are having right now. You still have a personal booth which makes good for private conversations with your stylist without you feeling like other people in the salon are watching our breathing all over you.I look forward to being a regular here. As a novice to hair extensions, Marcia Cross was so sweet, patient, answered all my questions, accommodated my multiple revision requests (even after I had left my appointment - she stayed late so I could come back for another trim) and lived up to her reputation as being the Oprah of hair extensions. Everyone was so nice and made me feel comfortable - like I had known them forever.

Absolutely Amazing. Just moved to the area from MO and randomly picked this place. Had a consultation for extensions walked in feeling like it wasn’t even going to be an option for me with severe hair thinning and major hair loss. Left consultation feeling very excited for my appt.Got extensions few weeks later and it’s been absolutely life changing. Have my confidence back and in love with my hair. I’ve never had extensions before so I can’t compare my experience but I can’t imagine it having gone better elsewhere. Marcia and Pink we’re both very helpful and informative.I Even had a mixup with quoted price being different then actual cost and Marcia honored the quoted price. Nothing but positive things to say. Looking forward to my touch up appointment tomorrow.

Save yourself the time and dont go here. I saw all these amazing reviews for this place but I failed to read the bad ones, which are 100% accurate. So if you want to wait 2 hours after your scheduled appointment for a botched sew in by all means this is your place. Dont forget they will put the wrong hair on you and blame you for everything then overcharge you all while yelling at you. So please let the owner reply to this review saying its all my fault and that she offered to redo it (which I have no confidence whatsoever that she can fix whatever wrong she did to my hair), then still accuse me of being late to an appointment she was running late for. Please save your coins for another place that isnt money hungry.

I starting using this business in January for extensions my experience was amazing! Ive been back several times for tightening and even a hair disaster I created. Pink really is the best and a hair miracle worker and shes so fun to conversate with while shes doing my hair!

I’ve been here three times. I got hair extensions- The first two times I went I wasn’t impressed with their customer service, but it wasn’t worth leaving a bad review... The first time I went the stylist talked on the phone for most of my appointment which I thought was rude. The second time I went, the stylist was 15 minutes late to the appointment. The third time I went the stylist said she was running behind and I had to sit in my car for over an hour.. I had to call and ask if they were ready for me, who knows how much longer I would’ve been waiting had I not. I asked if she could style my hair for me before I left and she said no, only if I washed it for an extra $35 (my hair wasn’t even dirty, I took great care of my extensions and only had them for a little over two months). Just very disappointed about my experiences after spending so much money here in the three times I’ve been.

I had my appointment yesterday and truly enjoyed my time during the appointment talking and laughing with Marcia and staff. (All while everyone was wearing masks due to COVID 19). I am truly pleased with the quality of hair and the install!!

After searching for a new hairdresser after 10 years of going to my hairdresser I found this wonderful Salon. I have never been happier in my life with the professionalism and expertise of this Salon. They quickly put me at ease with the two consultations I had prior to getting my extensions. The color and extensions were beyond what I ever expected. I have had extensions for over 10 years and this was by far the best extensions and color I have ever had. I would highly recommend this Salon to anyone. You feel like a Princess and are treated so special.

I just moved to the area and wanted to find someone to install a sew-in, and I noticed they had great review, so I gave them a call after a lousy blowout experience Couple weeks ago. I just wanted to give my natural hair a break, but Whoever answered the phone from the start was beyond rude. So I gave her some background, and I wanted a leave out, so I continued to asked the base price. She avoided the question, First thing she mentioned Is I couldnt bring my own hair, and gave me poor excuses after asked why, than lead by saying (verbatim) ”maybe one of our stylist will be willing to do it, try to email us, and are you sure you didnt email us? I swear you just email.” She continued by saying, ”if you go on our website, and email us, maybe one of them can email you back.” Honestly I am just so baffled by the customer service, and beyond unprofessional. Im so lost, and I had to leave this review so no one else waste their time. How does this place have such good reviews? Why would I call to ask information and how you do not know who does what in your salon. I am still confused. Red flag after red flag, they seemed very money hungry type of salon, the type that will last minute over charge you for no reason. Just poor service, I hung up politely. Thanks for wasting my time. Please have more integrity with your business, and better customer service.

I love Marcia Cross! She is amazing. I went to Luxury Tress Salon with a damaged hair with the intention of cutting it all off. But not only she did not cut my hair but she also provided me with the ‘tolls’ to repair the damage. This is by far the nicest salons Ive ever been to ! Everything is clean and organized. I love the great big open space where each client isnt touching each other too ! I had a great experience. I had a sew-in done by Marcia. She made sure my cornrows werent too tight and that there wasnt a lot of tension on my hair from the sew-in. She is fast and had me out in 2 hours. I ordered the Sangria curly hair. Its my first time wearing a curly weave but so far I love it. The closure was laid nicely. Better than any other sew-in Ive gotten. The prices are reasonable as well. This salon will have a loyal customer in me for sew-ins. I also plan to check them out for natural hair care too.

After reading the reviews for this salon online and researching others in the area, I decided to book a consultation with Marcia. Walking into the salon, the place was very nice and clean, and everybody, employees and customers, were nice and friendly. I told her I knew nothing about sew in extensions as Ive never had them and she pretty much walked me through on what would be best for my hair. I went to Luxury Tress Salon looking for information on getting extensions. I’ve never had them before, so was very unsure of the process, what kinds would work best with my hair, how to care for them, etc. I met with Marcia, the owner of the salon, and she was incredible! She gave me multiple options based on my natural hair and what style I was seeking, and really took her time with me. I was concerned about caring for extensions since my work is extremely active, but she took that into consideration in her recommendations as well. She answered all of my tedious questions knowledgeably and at no point did I feel I was being “sold” to. There is no question that Marcia and her team are the best at what they do.I’m SO pleased with what she has done! My extensions looks beautiful and so natural, and Marcia is flexible getting me in the salon with any minor adjustments or tightenings I need. Her incredibly reasonable prices were also a bonus and pleasant surprise.The salon itself is gorgeous and clean, and the other stylists are also really friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, the entire experience from the environment to the service is more than I could have asked for. I will be moving further away from the salon soon, but will DEFINITELY be making the additional drive to see her to keep my new style up :)

I had the best experience with Marcia. Truly the Oprah of Hair, she knew exactly what would work for my hair situation! I have some medical hair loss and she covers it so well that I don’t even worry about it anymore. With that, the extension hair is high quality and the salon can color match almost exactly your own color/look. Hair extensions are an expensive endeavor, and you want to be able to trust an experienced stylist with your head of hair and money. I’m so glad I made the choice to visit Marcia at Luxury Tress!

Friendly people, just not professional. I got A braidless sew in & I was told by 2 other hairstylists that they weren’t done right. For a week, my head has been itchy which I knew that would happen, I couldn’t lay on them at all & I had a headache the whole week I had them in. A few nights I cried because of how bad they hurt. Yesterday morning I looked in the mirror and noticed scabbing on my scalp and redness. I sent a picture to the lady who had did mine and was told it’s dryness from my scalp. I was told from another hairstylist who saw my scalp in person that it might be infected and they were indeed scabs. I got them removed ASAP. I got them done a week ago and already got them taken out by another hair stylist. I spent about $1300 on them. I asked if there was anyway I could get a refund or partial refund and even recommended another service be done since I spent SO much to only have them taken out. Her answer was no and to give it a few more days. I couldn’t. My head hurt SO bad. My $1300 was wasted. I will NEVER go back.

I have been going to Luxury Tress for about two years and Pink is nothing short of AMAZING! I first went because I wanted to add some length and thickness to my hair by getting braidless sew in extensions. I fell in love with them! I was nervous at first because I thought it would damage my real hair, but it actually allowed my real hair to grow without receiving normal heat damage. I kept my extensions for over a year, having them regularly maintained by Pink. She was always great, gentle and took really good care of my hair. After I got my extensions out I continue going to Luxury Tress for color/cut/haircare. I love all of the staff! Theyre fun, make you feel at home, and keep their salon very clean! I would def recommend them to anyone. Best in the area!

As always, Marcia never disappoints. The Indian Temple hair is amazing!!! I love the texture and way it not only holds the curls but how beautifully they hang. Beautiful clean salon. I came in for a silk press but once I touched the extensions hanging on the wall I had to have them. I changed my appointment to a sew in with no problem and the style is beautiful. My stylist Crystal took her time with my look and i feel that my extensions are extremely secured without being too tight. Crystal was my stylist and she is very professional and personable with a beautiful personality. I will be returning.

AMAZING! So I was up for business in Newport News, I wanted extensions, bad. They have all kinds but I wanted a sew-in. I walked by at 10 PM one night and came back the next day, but they were closed. Marcias husband was driving by and saw us peering in the window and opened the store-- JUST to give us a card. SO. I knew it was customer service driven.I made an appointment for two days later, that very day - which I conveniently scheduled online for a sew in weave with 3 bundles. Here are some key points of what made my experience at Luxury Tresses so great!!-She was immediate with her response on her day off asking for pictures of my current color and my desired look-Marcia didnt have my color in stock of her signature hair so she colored it to match mine, AND after coloring to platinum blonde (and toning) the hair was SILKY and EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY.-The day of my appointment she was prompt, sweet and attentive to what look I wanted-Shes worked with multi-cultural hair so she braided my hair to the desired tightness so it would keep my thin/fine hair woven for as long as possible-HER HAIR DOES NOT SHED!!! I REPEAT. HER HAIR DOES NOT SHED. That was huge for me as I have not found any clumps of hair like I had from previous bundles purchased elsewhere.After 8 sew in weaves by other salons and hair from other websites -- hers takes the cake. The whole staff was friendly and the salon was very clean. I was also able to buy products there for aftercare.I highly recommend Luxury Tress Salon for your extensions and anything else. This was my first experience having extensions, so I was nervous and excited all at once, but Marcia and the other stylists made me feel right at home and comfortable. I was so excited to get an appointment with Marcia the Oprah of Hair. I scheduled an appointment with Marcia for a braid-less sew in. Prior to my sew-in I scheduled an appointment for a relaxer for my edges and leave out with Crystal because Marcia did not have the time which I was completely fine with.Upon arrival at the salon, I was greeted and met with Marcia first to confirm the details of my sew-in. I had alot of questions but she answered them and we settled on a plan.Crystal got started on my relaxer promptly and was very kind.Upon completion of my relaxer I waited for Marcia. I was in no rush and made that clear. I was very excited to see her magic. About 5 min before my scheduled appointment with Marcia I was directed to sit back in Crystals chair. At this time I assumed I was just waiting for Marcia or Crystal was going to do some prep for her while she finished a client that was under the dryer. However, what ended up happening is Crystal did my install. Marcia never once touched my hair. She did not install my hair, style it, cut it, etc. I did not sxhesche an appointment for an install with Crystal, I scheduled it with Marcia. At no time during the multiple appointment confirmations did it say anything about possible stylist changes. To too it off Marcia did not explain the reasoning she was not going to be doing my hair. Instead, I watched as she finished the client before me and then she simply told me, good luck, Im sure you will love it, if I dont see you before I get back from lunch, they will take a picture.Thank goodness for Crystal, she is the reason I will be going back. She did a great job and was VERY VERY professional. I have no issues with Crystal what so ever.My main issues and why I cannot give a five star rating is because, I do not feel like I was valued as a client for Marcia. I would still love to see what she can do, but I am disappointed with the lack of professionalism during this appointment. Communication is everything and there was none.Thank you Crystal for saving my appointment and I will be back.

Update 8/20/19: I posted the text messages the owner sent me showing just why you should spend your money else where.First off, all the positive reviews sound like friends and/or family members.Terrible customer service and glad i didn’t get my hair done. Made an appointment online and got there 5 minutes early to see the person that is supposed to do my hair working on someone else’s head with a lot more work to do. Gave me 3 excuses including, there online system is broke, she doesn’t really know how to do blow outs (where did you go to school at?), my hair texture and length is something she is not used to. But even if all of those excuses were not the reason, you were going to try and do two heads at once!?! Inconsiderate of my time but it worked out because she obviously didn’t know what she was doing. The crazy thing is, I think that was the owner. DO BETTER!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and my experience during my consultation with Marcia. She is very professional and knowledgeable about her craft. I went in for a consultation for weave tape in but she informed me that it might not be the best option due to medication I am currently taking. She didnt leave me hanging but offered an alternative application.

I recently went to luxury tress to have the etae treatment. My stylist is walk me through the booking process with ease. The salon was immaculate . When I arrived I didnt have to wait. I love that my stylist Marcia walked me through the process as she was doing my hair and offered me tips to do at home to keep my hair healthy and manageable. I purchase their hair extensions a couple months ago. The color matches perfect! I get compliments all the time when I’m out.

I decided to get my hair silk pressed by Marcia Cross (the owner). I made my appointment for a Sunday at 11. I arrived to the shop at 10:50. At 10:54, she texted me stating that she was going to be 15 mins late. So, I waited until 11:20 before she finally arrive. When making the appointment online, I put in the comment section that I wanted Dark brown/Caramel highlights. I hadnt been to her salon in YEARS, so I didnt know that I had to add the service as an add-on (My mistake). I told her that I didnt want my appointment to clash with her other appointments/clients and that I could come back another time to get highlights, but she could just straighten it today. She informed me that she could do the highlights as well, and that it would be no problem, even though her next appointments were an hour apart. I showed her pictures of celebrities with dark brown highlights, and told her that I wanted dark brown highlights. Marcia (the owner) goes back to the back to mix the colors. She immediately comes back and starts applying color to my hair. She doesnt inform me of the color she is using or that she wouldnt be able to get the same color highlights as the celebrities that I showed her because they were wearing extensions. After I sat for 30 mins to let the color process, she rinses me out and I immediately see that my hair highlights are BRIGHT AUBURN and in chunky patches. I sit under the dryer, and I debate if I should say something because it is not the color I wanted. I get up from the dryer and ask her if she could darken it up, because the bright orange was making me nervous and I wanted dark brown. By this time, it is 1:32pm, and 2 other clients come in the shop asking for touch up of microlinks and microlink installation. Marcia (the owner) tells one of the 2 clients if she could come back in an hour and 30 mins because she was working on my hair. The client said No because I came from VA Beach and have nowhere to go. The same client even told Marcia that she could back another time and reschedule. Marcia says No, I can get you in 30 mins and tells the next client (2 of 2) that she will be able to finish her in 10 mins also. Marcia finishes putting the rinse/color to darken my hair on and tells me to sit under the dryer for 30-45 mins. At this time, I was kind enough and told her that it was okay for her to finish up the other 2 clients. After the 45 mins is up from darkening my hair, Marcia rinses me out and tells me to come back in an hour and 30 mins so she can finish the client from VA Beach. By this time, it is 3:30pm and Ive been at this hair salon since 11AM. I come back at 5, and she finally finishes me up at 6. I pay the full price ($125) without asking for a discount since I wasted my day from 10:50-6pm. When I immediately get home, I take a clear look at her quality work and see that my highlights arent just patchy in the front; they are patchy everywhere. No matter where I part my hair, it looked as the same pattern of a checkers board. I texted Marcia and attached the photo of my hair. I explained that I was disappointed in the work. Marcia immediately plays the victim and said that the highlights were my fault, and asked me what I wanted her to do. I told her that I didnt want a refund; I just wanted my hair back to the original state because the patchiness/chunkiness was not what I wanted. The color after darkening wasnt the problem; it was the fact that highlights were chunky . She argues with me through text while I am at work (very unprofessional) and states Now you (a client) want me (Marcia) to dye your hair back? All I wanted was a mistake to be fixed and to feel confident; I didnt care about the money. I will not be returning to this salon or recommending this salon again.Update: Marcia also told me to part my hair a certain direction to hide her highlight mistake.

I had an appointment for a cut and color so that my hair would be fresh and fun for my wedding next week. I never received a reminder call, but showed up 15 minutes early for my appointment. It took a few minutes to be greeted, and when I said I had an appointment at 10, the lady quite nonchalantly said, with who? ****? She left. and then acted like I should know what this means since I had just scheduled the appointment a few days ago. I asked what she meant...as in she doesnt work here? She acted like she couldnt have cared less and said, yea she left yesterday and Im not sure why. Her number is there if you want to try calling her. I was quite baffled by the lack of care for a customer who was then left in quite the predicament, and also for the nonchalant way she was reacting to someone just being gone. I will never return to this salon again and I suggest you do the extra work yourself to find out if you still have an appointment since they obviously dont care to make things right.

I am very satisfied with my extensions. She took time to make sure they were applied carefully, then cut and styled my hair as I wished to make sure the look was perfect. Very happy with the outcome!

I have been wearing hair weaves for the past 8 or so months in order to grow out my natural hair. My natural hair (while fully capable of growth) is quite coarse and has a hard time retaining moisture, so this was Marshas recommendation until I could get it to a longer length. Throughout this process, Marsha has done a great instillation on the hair (and it usually keeps for 2-3 rewears), and I get so many people thinking its my natural hair! Even better than that is the fact that she knows how to take care of ones natural hair as well so it is growing and flourishing under the weave! Marsha is a phenomenal stylist and I am happy to work with her on my hair, weaved and natural!Update: Its been almost a year now and I have still been going to Marsha for my sew-ins. The length I have achieved with this process is unparalleled, and for the first time I am experiencing healthy hair growth and length retention! I still have my relaxed ends that make up about 3in of my hair, but otherwise it has grown to just below chin length in 11 months!

It was my daughters prom and she usually get her hair done by Marcia on special occasions. Marcia informed me that she no longer does natural styles and that her assistant Crystal will surely take care of us. I was a little apprehensive but then thought OK if Marcia is confident Crystal can give the same result and she trusted her taking all her natural clients...Im game; sadly we were disappointed. We arrived for our appt and everyone was nice and welcoming as usual. Although crystal is really nice her quality of work isnt like Marcia a service that is only booked for 1.5hrs took us 4+ hrs; i had to interrupt crystal whilst chatting it up with her current client (in her chair) that we needed to go home so she can finish getting ready for prom. Our appt was at 1pm at this point it was after 4pm prom started at 8pm. During service she didnt section my daughters hair to blow dry properly; it was being dried as a whole section and she almost ripped out my daughter piercing out of her ear; so when it was time for her silk press her hair was still puffy. I found out later that during the flat ironing process she burned my daughters scalp several times. Needless to say my daughter was very disappointed in the service she received that day. I had to fix her hair when we arrived home because it wasnt done correctly. Sad because this hair situation could have ruined my daughters night but she took it in stride and still had a great time anyway.
