While visiting my son before college starts, we decided to drop in and a book. We both enjoy reading and learning about history. He recommended a book to me while there.

This is a great place to find unique gifts. A book for memories or a journal. Lots of cool toys. They even have brainteaser games and rubix cubes. I like to come here and look at all of their latest displays.

I love to read so most bookstores will get a high rating. I suppose the only negative are their prices. Im truly not sure how they stay in business. I can get a used book online, in excellent condition, with shipping for $4 - $5 instead of $20. Thats a huge difference. I can get 4 times as many for the same price. The worst part about paying that kind of money is when the book isnt good.

I generally go here mostly for guitar magazine They have excellent magazine section, better then other BN in area.

Selection of books was good. I am sad to see that my section has been diminished, but I understand. Store is clean amd well lit.

I frequently went to B&N and loved the atmoshpher as ut was a reminder of my college days..i was reminded of the magazine selection which was great! The staff was friendly and helpful, the prices are lower than what i remember! I didnt really see the value of the $25 membership.. but if i frequently bought from there, it may be wirth it

I absolutely love Barnes & Nobles! I left my membership card at home and the cashier hooked us up with 20% off for teachers and parents.

This store is expensive and has a low selection. The books are more expensive then bought new at second and Charles and on Amazon, and doesn’t have a lot of good teen and child books. Specifically, half the teen books are manga, and the nearly the whole other half is romance and demons. I consider this terrible for I don’t like any one of these, and I would like to see more fantasy (ie dragons), and historical fiction for teens. Also, their selection is diminishing, and I’m completely disappointed.

My first thoughts into walking into this store was breath taking. I remember in the childrens section there used to be plays galore and a little Thomas the train set that children could play with. This store has come a long way and I am so happy to know that I can still come to an amazing place with such vibrant atmosphere. The place was clean and smelled of coffee due to the establishment located in the store. Although, I did not mind. The only reason I am not giving this place five stars is because it was a little hard to find some information, although, you can ask one employee there and they seem to not mind in showing you.

Walked into the store knowing exactly what I wanted, but didnt know where to find it. I asked one of the women behidd the counter for help and she did so immediately, professionally and courteously. I love this store.

My boyfriend and I love to come for figures and manga. The staff is always so nice and informative. We gave grand memories as teens there, and we love the bakery and coffee!

The staff at the in-store “Starbucks” was extremely nice, however the lady behind the actual store counter is the reason it’s only 4/5. She left a bit to be desired. Also, I’m not a fan of places that ask for donations at the register. It’s designed to put you on the spot and make you feel bad for not giving. I give on my terms, not someone else’s. In all, I’ll go to the coffee shop, but will buy my books on Amazon.

I love visiting bookstores and this one never disappoints. I can spend hours in there. They always have great sales and large selection of books for each and every person that walks through that door. You can also order a drink or snack at the café to enjoy while you read your book of choice. This store is clean and well put together and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The service is great. Always a clean calm environment. However Barnes and Nobles is not price generate. Meaning a lot of the items are at least $7-20 higher than online and local. I have done the comparison.

Love Barnes and Nobels, this particular location doesn’t seem to have as mush of a staff as other locations makes it hard to find help with you need some assistance. The staff that is there is very helpful once you find someone. Gave it 5 stars because it’s clean organized and follows COVID protocols.

The sci-fi choices are now extremely limited. Fantasy is mostly complte old story arcs, like GoT. Lots of YA, Manga, and soap opera Fiction. Great youth, self-improvement, cooking, science, travel and history selections. Love the embedded Starbucks and free wifi.

Such a lovely collection of Bibles. Could be a bit cleaner on the chair. Starbucks lady was lovely. Cashier was ok....

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here yet again. The one on Jefferson. They have moved things around a little bit and I got a little lost looking for things but the gentleman at the information desk was on point and answered all my silly questions and was helpful in picking out a present for my wife. I go here for all my reading material and to just feel like I am a valued customer. Keep up the good work.

Promo service, helpful and great work ethic

Horrible costumer service. Literally there were two people working and one sat in front of the microwave for 32 seconds instead of taking my order and she literally had no costumers.

You can not go wrong with browsing Barnes & Noble. Its meditative.But books displayed for Black History Month were blah. It would be interesting to know how sales are going.

Really big inside with a wide selection of books and sales. There is a Starbucks in the store with lots of seats. The only negative thing was that there was only one cashier working when I was there so I had to wait in a long line.

Had some great Funko Pops for sale that are hard to find. Lots of great educational toys for kids that you dont just find in other stores. Huge Manga section. The Starbucks at this location made a very disappointing drink for us. 2 of the 3 we ordered turned out right. The third one was absolutely terrible, watered down and was probably the worst coffee we have ever tasted. Which is NOT normal for a Starbucks.

This store appeared to be very anti- christian iin its book presentations and postings throughout.

Quite, clean and great collection of book and toys. Love the coffee bar and area that you can order some food and drink, pick up a book and enjoy some relaxing time. I love the book reading activities every Sat, hope they will have that going on again after the Covid. Great place to take your kids to and start them on the journal of loving books.

Barnes and Noble has been a favorite of mine ❤ since my children were old enough to story time over 20 years ago.

The store was a book lovers delight. I found just what I needed and if I needed suggestions the front of the store was arranged with new books to read, with staff recommendations all arranged in categories. Helpful salespersons too.

Very clean and spacious. The cafe inside made me hungry while I searched for books that I needed for work.

I asked for a basket and was told We dont keep those on the floor any more. I pointed to some that were behind the counter and she reluctantly gave me one. I was also treated rudely by a different employee when I arrived at the counter to pay, apparently because I had a basket.

Clean, inviting, helpful and very nice. Not only did they help me find a special nook, they also made some suggestions on other books. They updated me on feature books.

Wonderful place to find what you wont to read. Some what slow now, because of the covid. Not a lot of help like they use to have, because people did not come back when they re-open. No one applying to the hiring post either. I will still go there like so many other readers, because this ithe kind of book store we need here in Viginia.

I called the store the morning of the 14th, explained I lost my receipt and had an item to return. I asked if i could get store credit or if they could find the purchase on a debit/credit card that we paid with. The woman on the phone was very pleasant and said they could, indeed, look it up on my card, and provide a refund. That afternoon, we went into the store, and explained the conversation to the cashier. My husband handed her his card. She asked what date we purchased the item on, and we stated we were unsure and only had an approximate time. She said they couldnt return the item on the card without the date. She told us we would have to get store credit, rang it in and issued a credit for 1/2 the amount we paid. Since I work retail, I am well aware that when you do a return without a receipt, the cashier can only refund it at the last price the item was. If however the customer provides a credit or debit card and we run it through and scan the item, then they get back exactly what they paid for on their card. This was why I called ahead of time, to get details before heading to the store. The cashier was curt, seemed annoyed from the beginning of the transaction, and even after I explained the earlier phone call, said there was nothing else she could do. At this point a line was forming and, although we should have asked to talk to a manager, we left the store. As a retail associate, if I have a customer who is dissatisfied, I call one of my managers to double check I told the customer the right thing. We were pleasant to this cashier, even while expressing our disappointment. Upon returning home, I tried to look up the return policy on the B&N website, but there was nothing stated about returns with a card. I would ask, in the future, that the return policy, with a credit or debit card, be clearly stated somewhere in writing, and that the cashier would pass the buck to a supervisor, when a policy is questioned.

Very good staff they are very kind on helping you find a piano book and they always update about everyday and bring my favorite series.Also they have a Starbucks perfect for reading and drinking coffe

They always have different kinds of sales going on for readers who aren’t looking for anything specific, just quick reads. It would be awesome if they sent out more coupons or something as books are really expensive. That’s what drives me more towards used book stores who often have buy back or trade in options. I love this store though. Organized, clean, quiet. The cafe could use more attention in regards to cleanliness. I usually always see messes on tables when I go to sit there.

Due to Isaias all electrical and internet capabilities in my house where off. Barnes and nobles was a great place to have a good cup of coffee, a snack, and to meet one of the best sales people I have ever met. Although I was there for quite a while I felt no pressure to leave. Really glad theyre electrical power was on.

Barnes and Nobles is really nice and clean; definitely has an atmosphere to come and get lost in a book or finding the right book. Has lots of things to look at besides books; like games and puzzles. Has a lot of things for people of all ages.

Barnes and noble is an excellent book store, etc. One complaint was the Starbucks in B & N, they didnt except my Starbucks card and was told that I had to buy a B & N charge card for 25 dollars a year, which gave you 20 % off (big deal).

I always walk out with an armful of books...and I dont regret a single bit of anything I buy. Im actually looking to apply there because I love the place so much. I could probably live there, and Im not even joking on that. I always find new and awesome books and even my brother, whos picky about books and doesnt read a lot, always finds something there. I even found books that would help me with learning my favorite songs on guitar. Theres such a wide variety its insane. And its not just books. I could go there every day and still walk out with four or five 300+ page books.

Its become a toy store. My kids love books, but they were overwhelmed by all the bright shiny toys.. row and rows of toys without a book on the shelf. And in the kids section its maybe 50/50 books to toys. So kids naturally reach/look right past the books and focus on the toys. That is not the experience I want them to have in a book store!

Great place if you need a quick study or to spend a few hours doing homework. I go about once a week to get some college done and enjoy the coffee (which is made by wonderful, talkative, kind staff). The atmosphere is good with a decent selection of book in all genres.

We were there after Christmas with a return. Went easily. Afterwards, the checkout line got long but they brought up helpers quickly and the line disappeared. GREAT job!

Pricey but a amazing book store

I love the store. The people are awesome but the cafe stinks.One time I bought a drink from them. The person who rang me up didnt ask if I wanted any of the options that came with it. When I got my drink, it didnt taste good because they didnt add lemonade so I went back to them. The woman I spoke to told me that I would have to pay extra for them to remake the drink. Why is it a big deal just to remake a drink?Their customer service sucks.

Had the most delicious melt in your mouth mango-keylime cheesecake at the Starbucks within...sorry no pic I ate it! The books are cool too.
