Cool old school ice cream shop.nothing fancy. Items we had were good. Fortunately they had no sugar selection for some in the party.

Went in for ice cream and ordered 2 small cups. The portions were generous, but the ice cream is far from being great. Very generic (like supermarkets low-cost) and for over $9 very expensive. Not worth it.

My family come once in a while to dine at Newport Creamery. We came to a different location this time, and the food is still quite delicious! We came to Newport for some touring and stopped by here for lunch. Service was great! It was packed yet our server was extremely efficient with delivering! What did I order? A combo: Half of a lighterfare sandwich and a cup of clam chowder. The clam chowder is creamy and packs good flavor. Do I need to explain a tuna sandwich? Yes, it was nice.

Ice cream was great! Had the super sundae with chocolate, vanilla, cashew caramel with hot fudge and caramel! So good!!

Nice breakfast & Desserts place. Recommend to visitors, you should go try it out

I was a little disappointed with the ice cream here. The flavor was pretty good but the texture was disappointing. It was not churned or stored properly because there were small shards of ice as I ate it. I would never expect that from a place calling itself a creamery.

Went in for an awful awful and it was yummy yummy. Try the coffee with chocolate pieces. Great on a hot and humid day.

My daughter and I went in for dinner and ice cream, the assistant manager sat us why we waited for 10 minutes and the 2 servers came from the back reeking of smoke ...before we even have a glass of water and are ordered taken ... their friends were waiting in the lobby and they went over and greeted them before they came to us to take our order, the assistant manager stood by and watched and did nothing. There were also 3 people sitting at the ice cream counter waiting for their order to be taken also very disappointing!

Our server, Ciara, Was very polite & attentive to us..My Black Rasberry and pistachio Ice-cream on a Belgian waffle w/ Choco Syrup & Strawberries.

Great little diner with varied menu. Visited twice on our stay for lunch and the food and service were really good. Philly cheese steak sandwich recommended.

We stopped here for the kids sake and thought it would be a good cap to a day in Newport. Somewhat disappointing for the area of town, the funky smell that hit us at the door was a bit too close to being rancid dairy to be comforting. Both the floors and the booth tables were sticky and the wait was way too long for a nearly empty restaurant with a full complement of staff. I dont eat dairy, so my only choice would have been orange sherbet. Meh. The kids seemed to enjoy their sundaes and I got my parking validated.

A colleague and I from out of town went here for lunch today. The food was delicious and the staff welcoming. Robert, the person who greeted us quickly learned our names while delivering great service. I would recommend to friends and revisit in the future!

We visited for lunch. We were seated right away. Our waitress was nice. Our food was brought out quickly and was as expected. We enjoyed our lunch and got awful awfuls to go. The waitress reminded me to have my parking validated as its in a pay to park lot. My 3 year old and I enjoyed our lunch date together.

My husband and I stopped at the window service for cones. My husband had chocolate and pistachio and I ordered coffee and pistachio. The coffee and chocolate ice cream was mediocre at best. The pistachio was good, however, the scoops were skimpy. While some servers seemed happy to help you, others seemed annoyed. A very average experience.

First time having coffee milk...it came highly recommended! It was delicious !! Friendly staff and management! When I am in town again....will definitely stop in.

Went for having a sweet treat but after having seen the lunch menu went ahead with trying both food and desserts.The Veg quesadilla was very cheesy and fresh,The spinach sandwich was equally good sides with sweet potato fries 🍟At the end ordered the brownie sundae which was awesome.The server was a bit off but its okay if u get good food.

Today Saturday March 30 we came at 7am. Looking for breakfast, the door was locked, the service was inside watching that we was waiting and she don’t care, at 7:05 when she finally open the door for us. She started yelling at me when I asked why she don’t open at 7. She was so rude. So we said to her, don’t worry we can go to another restaurant and she said okay. We left and go to other restaurant, oh the service in the new place was excellent!!!

The service was good. We only had coffee or ice cream. It was nice to find a coffee shop opened at 6:00pm.

When I order fish and chips I should get fish and CHIPS, not just fish. Its in the name. I was asked by the waitress if I would like fries or coleslaw with my fish and chips, and I thought, Ive already got the fries so Ill take the coleslaw. I got fish and coleslaw. FISH & CHIPS means FISH and CHIPS.

This place is inside Newport downtown and they have a good collection of milkshake and ice cream. Their menu is huge and most food items are diner style. They do validate the parking, which is paid, so its a good choice to halt before heading to Boston.

The young lady working the window was pleasant and quick with our order. Unfortunately, the ice cream was icy (with ice pieces); not creamy at all! It was a bit pricey for this quality of ice cream.

One of the greatest experiences in my life. So me and my fiance where in town and wanted something simple, the whole crew was sweet to us and gave us a discount on the meal. I did the awful awful challenge where you drink 3 get 1 free and they where amazing making jokes and made the whole timr great

Just about every Newport Creamery location is run very well, with fantastic comfort food and ice cream and friendly staff. While a bit smaller than some others, this one is certainly no exception.

Took 45 minutes to get our food, I assumed they were growing the lettuce and spinach for our sandwiches and salads. My wifes sandwich came without the chicken she ordered. The garden chicken salad came with only one scoop of chicken and a second scoop was extra. Ridiculous. Our food sat on top the pick up bar for about 20 minutes before it was served.

Visited today for a light dinner. Watched one waitress ( Jenna) work very hard to manage almost all the customers while 2 others shuffled around and tried looking busy without really doing anything. Food & service were acceptable, but can only imagine it would be better if the whole staff were working.

They were very short handed, the wait was alittle long but they made up for that at every turn with great customer service. Very friendly and personable service with a smile. Our waitress was courtney, she had to run around it was so busy, but she made the wait pleasant she made sure everyone waiting had the drinks they wanted double checked orders to insure they would get the correct meals. It was a lovely experience and I would reccomend this as a must stop place, it being my favorite newport creamery location

Feb 14th 2018. Valentines Day. My son and I have spent the day in Newport. Great day. We decide to visit Newport Creamery and have lunch. We are immediately greeted at the door by the manager Ron who tells us its cash only b.c. our system is down. We agree and sit down to look at the menu. A few minutes go by and a young mom and two small children come in and wait at the counter. They told her it was cash only..thinking she had enough she ordered her two children awful awfuls. It came to 11.38 and she unknowingly only had 10.00. The server went to Ron asking if they could forgive the 1.38 and guess What? HE SAID NO! 138 PENNIES!SO DONE WITH NEWPORT CREAMERY.

The wait at the window was over 30 minutes for ice cream. They had one person working the window at 3pm on a summer day in July. FINALLY the assistant manager came over to help. She was rude and not apologetic. She made my awful awful and I paid and she walked away to do something else. I waitied another 5 minutes while my milkshake sat on the counter. I finally asked for it and the manager came back and told me she was “busy.” We vacation in Newport frequently and won’t be back. Plenty of other places to get ice cream. I also didn’t get my receipt nor did I get my free scoop of ice cream which the huge sign says

Poor service! Ordered a veggie burger no bun. According to the menue it came with lettuce, tomato and mayo. When plates arrived no mayo, no tomato and my fries, sweet potatoe, were on the wrong plate. My husband had my fries and I had his.

I worked at the creamery in the 80s and the food is as good as it ever was.

People not friendly and rude. Went there it says wait to be seated and then they ask how many and walk away. Young girl says sit at counter. We left never to go back.....

It was my first time trying clam chowder and i liked it (but couldnt compair it to other clam chowders). I liked the service but the only downside in my view was the slightly uncomfortable seating. all thumps up otherwise!

Pretty standard ice cream place, very similar to a friendlys. The waitress grumbled about us being in her section which wasnt great to hear, but the sundaes were decent.
