I am overwhelmed with the customer service I received from Andrew and Gabby! I was not only walked through the specs of the iPhone 12 Pro & Max, but I was also given information that would help me choose the best phone for my lifestyle.I was recently injured and had to drive in pain an hour to the store. The drive was totally worth it. Once there a third time, Jennifer and another rep gleefully greeted me and once again I was escorted back to Andrew and later Gabby. They both walked me through choosing an accessory to protect my investment (iPhone 12 Pro). I had my iPhone wiped down and placed in several cases to choose which one was the best fit. I feel so valued!!!I heard that this Apple store is closing and I feel sick that these awesome people are going to be displaced. I hope that they are going to at least be recognized for the great job they are doing, with a smile, all while on their feet for hours!I guess I will be placing orders online from now on. Brought daughter an iphone and she dropped it and it cracked while we were still in the store and service representative REPLACED it with NO CHARGE....AWESOME.
The worst service ever! Disorganization level 100000. My appointment was at 1:15pm, I came there at ~1pm and went to the line called appointment. An Apple employee came to me in 2 minutes and asked me to get out of the line and stay near the couch for 10 minutes, explaining that this is for coronavirus safety (what??? Whats the matter if I stay there for 10 mins.ΒΏ!?) There was a lady behind me, by the way. Attention, please(!) After 10 minutes another employee came to me and asked to go back in line (what do you think?? the lady that was after me now stayed before me) On my question: what is the occupancy at Apple store? he said that this is a confidential information (what is confidential information???? There are rules now how many people can be inside some stores/ restaurants etc.) So, doesnt he know? After me asking the same question he said 30. Oh God, you should have seen this. There were more employees than customers. They literally didnt do anything, just went back and forth with their gadgets and pretended that they were working hard. There were definitely not 30 people inside the store. I got to the store at 1:37pm. I have never seen such a stupid organization like this.
I like this mall a lot and I only went there once honestly. It has mostly all the stores I wanted which was Zumiez and like pacsun and stuff. Theres a lot there. Its clean, I dont think its that crowded since its kinda open spaced. But most of all. This is just my opinion but I suggest going to this mall since it has cool stuff
After speaking with Apple support about processing a trade-in and the Apple agent calling this Apple store, I was told to bring my trade in to the store (a one hour drive from me) and they could help me out. Upon arrival, I was informed by Linda that they arenβt processing trade-ins. After I explained that I called ahead and was told to come in, Linda gave me the olβ βcomputer says noβ treatment. She was incredibly cold and really couldnβt be bothered with me or my trifles. Horrid customer service from an unprofessional employee. Incredibly poor representative for Apple. Wonβt be doing any business there again.
The limited hours are cut more than necessary. No reason to not have better hours especially with the strict COVID protocols they have in place.

I had an appointment set for 2pm today to repair my faulty iPhone. I arrived 8 minutes late to the apple store. I notified the security at the front of the store that I have a Genius Bar appointment at 2pm. (The security at the front is completely worthless) She pointed me to another SeCuRiTy GuArD. This security guard asked me my name at least 5 times, and this point I was already getting fairly frustrated. The time was 2:12pm and she told me that they couldnβt find me in their system. She kept relaying my name incorrectly to the employees inside the store so I showed her my Genius Bar confirmation email. Eventually, she said they canceled my appointment because I was 15 minutes late, and they couldnβt fit me in today even though I was the only one in line and the store looked empty besides a few employees getting paid to twiddle their thumbs. Excuse me? I just drove from Newport News (35 minutes away) just for this appointment. God forbid Iβm 8 minutes late! I asked to speak with a manager and all they could do was give me a phone number to call...which was worthless. I would not recommend anyone to go to this Apple Store in the future as it seems like their entire staff is incompetent from head to toe. Avoid this store at all costs...apparently 8 minutes late equates to 15 in their book. Also, there was NO mention of a strict cancellation policy in the email I received for my Genius Bar appointment. Some transparency wouldβve been nice! I have been a loyal apple user for the past 10 years...will be switching to Samsung now. Thanks for making the decision easy for me, Apple MacArthur Center!

These people are trained to only service those who spill coffee or break glass when they drop their equipment. What do you need to do in order to get regular warranty service for a known issue with the butterfly keyboard on a top of the line macbook that you have taken good care of??

I came here today regarding some issues with my iPhone. They said I needed to factory reset my phone and the issue would be resolved and all of my photos and such would still be on the phone. Got my phone back after they factory reset it, all my photos are gone and I have to start all over. And the issue came back. Very upset with apple right now.
I called to set up an appointment to have my macbook repaired. The customer service representative said I had an outdated model that they would NOT repair unless required to by law. I asked what my options were and he said there was nothing he could do for me. I asked if he had any third party recommendations and he said that he would HIGHLY not recommend using a third party... Even though apple would NOT repair the laptop. I told him that he really isnt giving me much choice in the matter. Then he rudely ended the call. This occured on the 4th of January 2020 at 1:45 in the afternoon.

Worst customer service I have dealt with in a long time. Received a broken iPad and tried to call in to do in an exchange. The number to the store goes to a call center where I have now spoken to 6 or 7 different people all giving me conflicting ways to exchange the iPad. I was told my exchange is in process and Ill get an email shortly with the directions. Never received the email and I called back a week later to check in; apparently it was never processed correctly.
I had a 4:25 appointment. Didnβt know which line to get in so I asked the greeter lady. She was rude and sassy for no reason. This was my second time coming in for the same problem with my MacBook Air. Turns out it was the battery was failing. I donβt know why we couldnβt have figured that out in the first place. Wouldβve saved me a lot of time on Apple support calls while the store was closed.
I thought this mall is really nice a little on the sad side alot of business closed but its a really nice mall. I ate at chilis and bought some adidas sweaters.
Lucas was exceptional, so qualified and knowledgeable, pleasant beyond professionalism, really a miracle worker getting my husbandβs problems finally resolved from old phone to new so we can now gift his old phone that ran out of memory for him but perfect for our 7 year old neighbor!! Iβve been to this store more times than I can count and every time have a great experience. At my time of writing this, the average rating is 3.7. However as I read the reviews many people are complaining Apple as a company, that the store is busy, or has long wait times. None of that reflects the people working here or the management. No matter what time you go to this store itβs gonna be rather busy. Thus if you are in a rush I suggest booking an appointment online. However I have done walk-ins myself and only waiting 30 or so minutes to be helped. The help is always professional, polite, and prompt. I want to shoutout Amy for helping me a couple weeks ago. But in truth Iβve had lots of help there I love. The audio guys are great so if you have any questions they have really help. (Iβm sorry I donβt remember their names, Iβm not very good with remembering names).
It doesnt give me satisfaction to write this review, because I admire Apple as a whole. I was happy to upgrade a little while ago and bought myself a certified refurbished iPad Air 2. I was smiling from ear to ear because I knew I finally had the resource to expand on my creativity and build my vision from scratch, and in style. I bought it shortly after having my first full-time job and it was quite an accomplishment for my situation. Until recent, my device started malfunctioning and it delayed a few of my creative developments. Had to start using my Lenovo laptop again and the model I have isnt meant for high performance.Today I decided to settle what was wrong and I was immediately notified that I would have to wait 40 minutes. Last time I went with a friend it was the same waiting time, so I didnt question much, although it was still inconvenient. It would benefit the customers greatly, as well as Apple, to have another Apple store outside of Norfolk. I moved from Chicago a few months ago and the Apple stores there never brought up these issues. Im a young adult without a car and it costed me $33 in total to get to the nearest store by Lyft, and it wouldve costed more if I used Uber. To continue, after my 40 minute wait, I went back after I got a text they were ready to see me and briefed the worker again on my iPad issues. He then told me that they didnt have enough time to tend to me, which I didnt understand.I want to note that the young man that I spoke to regarding my iPad, was mild mannered yet seemed quite detached and I guess he couldnt wait for his shift to be over. Something I understand but my costly efforts in seeking help was being brushed under the rug. He apologized and told me to book an appointment next time, which is strange given that he didnt point any issue on the timing of my arrival when I got there (4:30pm), and also telling me to wait 40 minutes. I waisted almost $35 asking for help, which I was then told to wait for a long time, then turned away without a clue on whats going on with my device. This takes away from my experience as a customer. I dont currently have all the Apple products and I wasnt opposed to upgrading my Lenovo to a Mac, but Ill have to see if its even going to be worth it, given the cost of just getting to the nearest Apple store and the added lag of waiting.

Ive been a Apple consumer for decades. One of the things thats kept me coming back has been the phenomenal Customer Support. That said, in the today I had the worst experience at this Apple Retail Store. Not only did the associate make no effort to try to be helpful about the issue with my iPhone but went on to tell me I was βjust being pickyβ. If you canβt help me with the issue then just leave it at that! Certainly, did not go there to be called names or to be judged. I tried talking to the manager but he was just as rude and unprofessional. This was my first visit to this Apple store. Extremely unhelpful staff! As I have mentioned, have been a longtime Apple customer and have never had such a bad experience at other Apple store. For now, I am going to assume there is an issue with those working at this particular store rather than a decline in customer service with Apple in general. Not a good Apple store!

I experienced very poor customer service. I was rushed through upgrading to a new iPhone. The customer service representative even left the SIM card inside the other iPhone, so I basically went home with no functioning phone. I filed a complaint against the store with Apple just to make a point. I donβt intend to go back again.
I went in the store with my roommate and sister-in-law to get a few products from π, Sven tho i Refuse to make that switch, i can appreciate the fact that all their service reps were busy.. Not only did we get recognized after a millisecond wait, but they seem to try and resolve the issue, instead of offering u an upgrade to something youre Not interested in. I was overall pleased with the Way things went for my first visit..

Had to take my two kids MacBook Pro in today for issues. Jesse was so helpful!! Worked on both at the same time while helping two or three other customers and did awesome! He was great at multi tasking and made sure he was checking on everything while the system was doing it checks. Definitely knows his stuff and if you can request someone he is the guy!
Brought my Mac in for repair and had to send it out to be completed. When returned it was not assembled properly. Took it back in, sent it out again, this time it was returned with the statement βwork not authorized by customer, no repair madeβ...yet my drive was erased and I was told by a technician that they erased the drive to see if that would fix the problem....that I had apparently not authorized so therefore should not have been done (confused yet? It gets better)! I take it in AGAIN as the intermittent charging issues that developed after repair attempt 1 had yet to be resolved. I go in for the THIRD time and insist that repairs be made in store if at all possible to avoid sending it out as Iβve already been without my laptop for over 2 weeks at this point. The tech agreed. Within a couple days I get a call to come pick up my laptop. Upon returning home I discovered a dent in the cover as if something were dropped on it. I immediately call Apple care to set up an appointment to address this. I spent a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes on hold waiting to speak to someone. Finally, I get to speak with a specialist who contacts the Apple store and sets up an appointment to get my laptop repaired. The specialist apologized for the damage and said that it will be taken care of by Apple. When I go into the store the tech doesnβt believe me, gets an attitude, and is somewhat offensive in how they worked with me. At no point was the manager brought over to discuss the issue THEY caused, and the resolution I was forced to accept was allowing me to use my AppleCare+ repair to cover the cost of the replacement. In the end, they still havenβt taken responsibility for it, and apparently have not even reviewed the senior specialists notes regarding the matter. I have been a long time customer of this location but I will NEVER buy anything else here again. If this were the first time I had experienced such arrogance in this store it would be different, unfortunately this appears to be a growing trend at this location.

My first time at an Apple Store. Crowded but no more than ten minutes wait. I returned my iPhone 10. Received $400 credit. Paid about $423 and walked away with an iPhone 11, 128GB white and clear case. I am writing the review from Crete, Greece where I am enjoying taking beautiful pictures with my phone.I revisited today. They only opened for people to pick up. No conversation about my new iPhone 12pro max. Iβm sure he was working under safety rules. Last year the store was like Apple Santa Shop.

After today, I would not buy another Apple product.I was previously a fan of Apple for its reliability and customer service.I experienced a hardware failure in my machine. I expected them to fix it with integrity, as other Macintosh stores had done in the past In my 10 years of being their customer.Todays experience reminded of that of an Auto Repair shop where I was told that I needed thousands of dollars worth of repairs on my vehicle, when really, upon having more trusted experts inspect my car, I did not.Their explanation of what was wrong with my laptop was inconsistent, as was their pricing.This is not an auction... the only thing that they are auctioning is their companys integrity.They lost my respect and they lost my future business.At this point, I would sooner buy a product from a different company than pay them $500 to repair my glitchy laptop.I was lied to and hustled in hopes that I would have less knowledge about machines than I actually have.Maybe they hoped I would just buy a new laptop, but lying to me is not the way to sell me things.
One of the best Apple stores Iβve experience with service and representing the Apple Brand. Because of the this store I continue to be happy to give Apple my business. They stand behind their product. Period.

From the nice young lady at the door who greeted me & was patient as I explained the kind of product I was looking for, to Bart & the guys who helped me w/ my new Macbook Pro. They helped me pick it out & set it up before I left the store. Those gentlemen are so knowledgeable & kind. Awesome job!
My experience at the Apple Store in Norfolk was perfect. Considering the time of night (about 7:30) on a Thursday, it was very busy, however, the service was relatively quick and extremely helpful. Having busted my iPhone screen, I asked the first staff member if he could help, and he promptly and politely sent me to another member. This member asked my name and put me on a customer service list, before sending me to a line to be waited on. About five minutes after being sent to this new line, I was approached by another member telling me that he would be able to assist me after sorting out one other customers issues. Soon I was redirected to the final portion of the customer service cycle, where the last staff member helped me through necessary protocol so that my phone could be worked on. He showed me the agreement, I signed the bottom of the page, and was allowed to go after he carried my phone to the back. This entire trip took about 30-40 minutes, which considering the 60-70 customers in store, was a very reasonable wait. As for the lower ratings that many others have given, I dont know where they are coming from. The store is well staffed, they are friendly, helpful, and organized, and made the entire trip easy on me.

If I could give zero stars I would and not because my phone could not be serviced. The service provided by Justine who emphasized sheβs been there for 4 years with a nasty attitude was demeaning at best. The delivery of her service was absolutely nasty. She didnβt greet me from the beginning when I checked in for an appointment. She proceeded to tell me that the problem that I was bringing my phone in for is not a real problem (touch screen disease). I had to pull up information from Appleβs website to show her that indeed it is a documented problem. Then she proceeded to diagnose the phone and tell me that the phone couldnβt be serviced because it was missing a screw. I understand that and have no problem with Apple not servicing the phone. My problem is with her attitude which sucked from the beginning of my appointment with her to the end. Terrible service. If your employees donβt want to provide outstanding service, then find someone who does.

Store is quite a rush, so itβs better you got an appointment booked online. If I could remember correctly, Heather was the rep who attended us. We had a iPhone which could not power on. She was proficient over the diagnostic tools and the process, explained the nuances with care, and fixed things in a jiffy.
Let me be honest. I never post reviews on google. But, my experience with this Apple store did the magic! They should be called Dubious bar ... send them all for training. They serious need one. I took my dying Apple TV to the store only to have them run some diagnostics and tell me if they can restore the software. Their genius analytics report and troubleshooting practice advised me to throw it in trash and buy a new one for $119 for being out of warranty. Hell no!! Theyβre ripping people off by not even finding the root cause. seriously, Genius bar guys!!! However, I was able to solve by myself, though with some money and luck. Iβll never walk in to this store .. EVER... period!
I just came from this apple store and the staff were super helpful and made things quick and easy for me! I had my 1 1/2 year old son with me and whenever they saw him getting fussy, they made him laugh. The staff is amazing!
Went for my first visit to the store after reading some poor reviews. Store was very packed after being closed for 2 snow days. Was greeted promptly and figured it would be a long wait. Within 5 to 10 minutes tech Eric came and diagnosed phone and ordered part. Very personal and knowledgeable about products. Thanks for the great service.

Employees need unison bright blue shirts or something not black or dark navy blue with the tiniest Apple logo on them you really have to get a close up and walk around to find out who works there they just blend in with the over half a million people always in here! Otherwise great customer service and PC computer repair service in Norfolk ;)
More employees than costumers and still take for ever to get help and service.They always have police in front of the store due to the theft,snatch and run.Itβs a matter of time before this place close and move somewhere else.
I had a great experience there. I had a technician by the name of Travis. He was knowledgeable and helpful in helping remedy the problem. From the moment I walked in for my appointment I was helped and was told every step of the way what was happening. Then they helped me get it to my car. Great job, guys! Youβre awesome.
Beautiful Apple store, I love the aesthetics that they have in here. But the main problem is trying to find someone who works here, it seems like no matter when you go theres at least a 30 minute queue.. but it is nice to go in and try out some Apple products in person!
I was assisted by Lauren Robertson. Not only was she friendly but very nice and patience. She never once made me feel like my questions were crazy and unnecessary. She answered all of my questions and even told me about the support classes that would help me a lot. Most of all I appreciated her patience.
Iβm at Apple now and while I usually have a great experience, today Iβm not. I checked in to simply get my screen replace. I check in and the lady tells me to go the back, cool. Twenty min past time I ask how far I am in the list, this rude man doesnβt even check and just tells me to hold tight, rude but Iβll trust his judgement. Minutes later I go back to the front and turns out the lady didnβt even check me in!!! Iβve been waiting for nothing and still waiting.
Every time i go into this particular apple store, i always get the feeling that im part of the elite. customer service is A1 and the workers always do their best to make sure that you are taken care of. for example, the last time that i went to this store, i had a question about upgrading my phone to the new x. it took a while for me to figure out that i couldnt log into my carrier through his phone but he didnt show any discontent, he was perfectly fine with helping me. little things such as that matters when it comes to my continued presence at this location. i really appreciate it

I made an appointment to have my phone looked at. I had to wait just a few minutes. The person who greeted me at the door was awesome. David was overseeing the Genius Bar and resolved my problem very quickly.
I m on the phone now waiting to speak to a manager as the personnel made my child feel like a criminal. He purchased the headphone on 26 January - they lasted three weeks and feel apart. I sent a pair I received for my phone and they feel apart I told him to return the ones he bought and the workers made him feel like he was scamming them. I dont want to make this a racial thing - but we do spend money on unnecessary BS - and this I-Phone is totally a farce. I am still on hold for 10 minutes and the person that placed me on hold is now acting like she cant hear me. I am angry and dont appreciate being treated like I dont matter. I should not be calling the manager of that store because you dont know how to treat young black men!!!!!! What I wont stand for is disrespect. Liz appears to want to assist - we will see!!!!
This place was an absolute nightmare. The employees exhibit zero common sense or discretion. Despite paying over $1,000 for a new iPhone and bringing my ID and credit card used to make the purchase in the store, the so-called geniuses in the store refused to give me the phone I had already paid for because the billing address of the cell phone account was different than the address on my ID. This was despite the fact I was an authorized user on the account and the address on the ID matched the address on the credit card. Then, after repeatedly refusing to give me the phone I had already paid for, they refused to refund the money for the phone, saying I had to take it up with Apple. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

I alway knew apple stands and known for their best customer service and today i have seen it. my computer which is more then 5 years old suddenly stop working on holidays. I took my computer to apple store and they got it working in few minutes and it cost me nothing. Investment with APPLE goes very long. keep up the good work apple.

These people are the worst. If you need to buy a computer...they will take care of you because they want your money. But if you already bought something...7 days ago, and its not working and you want to change it for another one because ITS NOT WORKING PROPERLY...they tell you we are not accepting walks in PLEASE...are you serious? The people there are really friendly and helpful, my replacement phone arrived before the time they told me but the SIM card didnβt instantly work through it needed me to get back to the carrier companyο£Ώ didnβt tell me about it until I had that issue also my phone was purchased brand new with one year warranty and they told me that they will cover only 3 months
I am really sick and tired of you never having enough staff to deal with your known battery issue. 3 hours to diagnose what I show visually demonstrate in 5 min by simply turning my gps on with bring plug into a charger is insane. I have tried walking in 3 different days and times only to have the place swarming with people. At some point you need to realize this is a mass problem and just fix it already. Or at least hire enough staff to deal with it.
Do not go to this store- you will be charged and never get your phone back. Crooks and lists. I drove two hours from the Outer Banks of North Carolina to the closest Apple Store when my phone (less than a year old) would no longer hold a charge. I was given two options and I choose option two, to have Apple service my phone or send me a new one. Three days later I received an email stating that because I had altered my phone (?!?!) that it would be 549 to get my phone back. It has been 8 days and I still dont have a fixed phone, new phone or any further communication (which was promised from a lead at the store). Now they have have my phone which was NEVER altered and my money. I contacted Sprint and they sent me a new home immediately with no charge. Its too bad they had to pick up the slack. I am SO disappointed in Apple.

I waited there for 45 min to an hour I spoke to 2 different people about getting checked in one female, one male they both said they would get back to me. Neither of them did. I did see the male worker busy so I could understand. The female worker was walking around the store and repeatedly ignored me. It wasnβt until a nice man who said he was a teacher who actually had the decency to ask if Iβve been helped. Thatβs when The female decided to come over and get me checked in. She proceeds to tell me I canβt be seen for another 25 mins after Iβve been sitting there close to an hour. I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT IM EXTREMELY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED AT THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. I felt there should have been more of an effort made to see if I can be accommodated at an earlier time after being ignored by THEM for an hour. I was also there with my three month old son so I know workers seen me sitting there for awhile not being helped at al
I had lost all my contacts, a disaster. I arrived 15 minutes before the store opened, and was met outside by an employee who registered me and tried to address my problem, but soon had to register other customers as they arrived. When the store opened, Chad greeted me by name, and had restored my list of contacts within 10 minutes. He was so helpful and pleasant. I was very pleased with the efficient way my problem was handled.

Went in here to have my phone battery replaced, as it was still under warranty and the beta health had fallen below 80% in four months.They were very nice, but when they took my phone to change the battery and they came back and said that it had been remanufactured and so they could not do anything with it, I know it was sold to me as a brand new phone, but, maybe I was fooled.What gets me, is that after they brought it back to me the home button was messed up, so now my fingerprint does not work, as well as the screen flexes in and out of the case now.And they say they canβt do anything about it.
Love the staff here. You always do your best to take care of me and my apple equipment and I canβt thank you guys enough for that.
Went to store this evening with iphone recall issue. Employees standing around doing nothing and I was told it was 1.5 hour wait. Tried to set appt for tomorrow evening and was told they can only see til 6pm no further. Apple employees dont seen to want to work with you so I can understand why people choose other products now. You would think Apple corporate would check these stores out with spot inspections. Yea right the corporate people just want to collect high earnings and stock options and to hell with the consumer
How thankful we are for the One to One Support we have received over the last few days at the Apple Store at McArthur Center. First we contacted the Apple phone support and were assisted over the phone, but our problem with our passwords was not resolved. Then we made two appointments over the past few days and met with Sam. We were very pleased with the extensive assistance Sam gave us in solving our problems. He was helpful and very kind in explaining things on our level of understanding. Sam was determined to work through our concerns and helped us solve several difficulties. He was absolutely fabulous! His patience and kindness made us relax as he diligently worked to link all our products together. Were so impressed by his knowledge of the Apple and technology world, but just as impressed by his people skills. Thank you so much!Mary-Ellen and George
I dont particularly care to hunt down a customer rep. for help then have the rep start helping other people right in the middle of our conversation. Then to pass me along to someone else who just put me on a list instead of taking the 5 or 10 min. to help me out. Bad customer service.
