Superb customer service for this mobile and height challenged person! All the clerks were quite helpful and friendly. I felt so welcomed, above and beyond the service Ive received at other Food Lion locations.

They have pretty much everything we need. The meat department is hit or miss, but still a pretty decent store.

As usua my shopping experience was even better, there has been an upgrade in the produce department I like that and have added more products on the shelves. I noticed an increase in many prices maybe because of the pandemic I dont know but I will keep shopping at food lion .

Really like my local Food Lion, can find most of what Im looking for, sometimes not. Prices pretty much line up with what most charge. Store is clean and isles easy to navigate, I like the savings I am offered by using my store card, lets me save money. Thanks Food Lion.

I got cursed out at this food lion yesterday by another customer. Im giving it 5 stars because the employees are always so nice, but beware there are some hateful people out here.

I call this particular food lion the “retarded” food lion because someone thought it was a good idea to have freezer isles on both ends of the store. You think you are in the right section and boom you gotta walk to the other end of the store.

Not busy, well stocked. Make sure you use or sign up for your MVP card and then you get some great deals. Friendly cashier at checkout too.

Really nice & kind employees, wish customers were more thoughtful to keep the area nice- trash all over the parking lot, sidewalks and grass, really looks run down

Its ok. Always busy and crowded. They run out of things fast so u better get it when u see it because it wont be there later. Parking lot is always full so if u want to get in and out park on the street. Live near so its always convenient for little things but I usually go to walmart

I have never experienced the type of Customer Service, that was given today from the Assistant Deli Manager. He was knowledge and personable. He was kind and helpful, and it made my day honestly.I think I found my new favorite local market!!

This Food Lion is a staple store full of college students from nearby ODU and families from neighbouring Park Place and Ghent. It doesnt smell funny and Ive found it to pretty clean all the time (even the bathroom). Standard sales and deals keep me returning to this location, but I frequent this store for the Latin foods aisle where the regular price on natural cane sugar (free of bone char) beats the other local grocers, most of which are higher end markets, plus the seasonings on that isle cant be found and the other stores either. The staff is always friendly and customer focused so long lines will usually result in new lines opening.Busy times look like the other stores so theres no real difference there. Overall a good location to shop and the ABC store in the same shopping center is convenient.

Dirty. I went in for hummus and chips. Found the hummus area (deli) covered in dead flies.

My local Food Lion, does good business, caters to local college crowd and surrounding neighborhood, fairly clean as it can be for a store of that size and traffic. Security guard at the front of the store, but Ive never seen any real drama over there for the amount of years Ive been shopping there.

I am disappointed that all customers do not wear masks - it seems no one is monitoring this problem. Does Food Lion have masks they can give out to someone who comes into the store without one? Can someone please give attention to this problem. Your employees are great and I can understand if they dont want to approach someone who is maskless - but I would hope Food Lion will correct this problem.

Food lion 😋 is my new shopping spot, Prices are very reasonable and the store is clean and all the employees professional and friendly. Keep thoughs cinnamon rolls coming from the bakery.

Ghetto. Always a variety of vagrants in the doorway asking for money and discarded shopping carts blocking parking spaces everywhere. Good prices on meat, though.

I had stopped coming here because it was so dirty and run down looking inside, but since theyve remodeled, I come to the store much more often. Prices are good on most things, but some items are cheaper at other stores. But this store is pretty convenient to get in and out of quickly.

Food Lion was my go-to supermarket in Virginia. Theyre more reasonably priced, for people on a budget, or most working class folk who dont need, or want all of the fancy-shmancy stuff in a grocery store environment. I must add, also, that they still sell good, wholesome quality food, and produce-just minus a lot of the frills!

This is the very best Food Lion Ive ever shopped in!! I literally had to stop complaining about Food Lion just because of this staff!! The whole staff in the store is so friendly, polite, helpful, and professional. They make sure you are comfortable, have what you need, and go out of their way to help you in any way they can. I am so impressed and HIGHLY recommend shopping here. The company Food Lion itself has ways to grow in pricing and variety BUT the staff at this store should all get raises. This should be one of the highest paid staff hands down!!

I’m giving it a 4 just because the curb appeal of the parking lot and how hard it is to get in and out of. The store is always very clean and even when the lines are long the cashiers move you quickly through the line.

One of the best Food Lions in the metropolitan area. However--I Just wish they would pay their associates better. Seems like most of their associates make just above minimum wage. I rarely shop at this chain due to the simple fact that the way they pay and treat their workers is very troubling and frankly I do not want to give any money to a company that operates this way. EVEN WALMART PAYS AND TREATS THEIR EMPLOYEES MUCH, MUCH BETTER!

Its impossible to walk around in the store. There is no room at all. It makes getting what I need take forever. I wish they would space out the aisles more. Maybe getting rid of that ridiculous soda/chips section and stop putting displays in the middle of the aisles. New carts are like semi trucks sized. And everyone is always fighting over chicken in the middle of the store because there is no room for people. Even the employees take up too much space because they are constantly restocking and blocking everything with all their carts.Also whats the deal with all the trash and pan handlers asking for change at the entrance? They are outside even when security is around...

Dead flys were all over the parmesan cheese.... It was kinda gross.

No carts, carts jumbled in handicapped parking. Parking lot and sidewalks strewn with trash, baby diapers and beer cans. Absolutely nasty. Store was clean though. Not enough cashiers for busy hour. Many mistakes were made with my produce items. Charged $1.29 as a grapefruit for an orange that was in my order. When I asked the cashier to please fix the error, he told me the sticker said grapefruit. I then went to produce and got another orange with the proper sticker and he made another error. He then randomly charged me for a more expensive orange.Customer service was closed. I was given attitude for asking for a correction. CS still made an error on the refund. I gave up, and left. Guess, that was the reason for CS attitude. How dare you customers ask a question? You are an inconvenience to me!

This is by far the the best Food Lion I have ever spent money in. The staff is readily available, they wait at the end of their check out lanes ready to assist customers in check out or guide them to the right aisle by request and answer questions. The staff here are all friendly and full of customer service. You can tell management takes good care of their employees because you cant fake being nice in a place you dont like and the manager was also very prompt and friendly when I spoke with her. Look forward to shopping here more and more as my preferred store in the area. Thank you for your awesomeness! Also want to mention I was running short on my 3rd trip here for items for my kids and when I asked the associate to remove something they needed she paid for the amount I was short without hesitation and it meant a serious deal to me. She has long beautiful braids with color and beautiful long painted nails. Thank you for looking out for not just me but the babies. I appreciate you. I like shopping here. Its a familiar place. They have really good prices and the staff is friendly. They have great produce most of the time and a wide variety of products.

Buy your groceries inside. Knock off Gucci purses and vials with strange liquids that I have been assured smell just like my favorite perfume are available in the parking lot. Everyone in the parking lot seems to be just short about 17 cents for the product they would really like to buy and will let you know as you walk past them.

Its convenient and accessible to the surrounding communities.

The veggie chicken nuggets didnt have plastic packaging. It would be nice if we could get containers thatre refillable for untagged fruits and veggies though, instead of plastic bags and/or plastic tags.

This location has its ups and its downs but generally, the staff is fairly welcoming. They are currently changing their floor plan and thus far, I like how much more open it feels inside.

Every time I buy produce here I regret it. Always spoiled and gross. I even had to pull a molded bag of grapefruit off the shelf and hand it to an employee. The Food Lion in Southern Shopping Center fruits and vegetables are always fresh and last long. I wont be buying anymore produce from this Food Lion in Colley Village.

Normal store as you would expect they redone the inside and made things easier and more user-friendly..however dont. Ring a bike unless you have the u lock two bikes of mine have went missing and no camera points to the area so Id skip the bike ride otherwise

I dont care too much for this food lion but its the nearest to where Im usually am so I go there when Im in a pinch. The produce is almost never good and they lines are usually slow and you have to search for assistance. The staff are nice but they could be more proactive is dealing with customers. (Some not all) a big issue for me is there is someone always standing outside the doors just chlling or asking for change or cigarettes. I dont mind helping but it makes me worry when my wife goes to the store alone.

I go to Food Lion often because they have a good selection and their prices are reasonable for the items I usually purchase. Having the MVP card is also a great plus because my food purchases are often reduced further which makes my wallet feel good.

The store layout is terrible and management is very defensive when addressing any issues. Items are placed in aisles on display making it hard for handicapped individuals to get by. The scale by produce is hanging on a mount about 8 feet in the air. Not a handicap friendly store.

Grocery store with competitive prices. Dont forget to sign up for mvp its free and reduces prices on alot of items.
