Went in for a muffler delete on my Acura type s, in around 12:30 was ready by 2 Man this was the fastest most professional service I’ve had with a shop ! I’m a diy guy but this shop gave me faith in good price worthy auto guys ! I appreciate it so much I called back to say thanks after driving off . 10/10 would be coming back for more work !!

Ran me $300 to have an amazon exhaust kit mounted on a chevy. I had a mount that has broken in about a year of use, but that fault is mine for using low quality hangers. I noticed months ago that some of the pipe welds had small holes in them. Owner told me they had better equipment and tools than any place around.

They’ve fixed a few of my cars, they redid a bracket and fixed a cracked exhaust on my Porsche and rewelded a control arm bracket on my jeep, both turned out perfect and are holding great! Decent prices! Highly recommend!

Mike was extremely helpful. He found the time to rotate and balance tires on both of my vehicles on the same day. He knocked out the job quickly and perfectly. Additionally he helped me with diagnosing a problem I was having with rhythmic humming in my back tires, he knew right away that it was probably a bearing and even asked if he could take it for a test drive to make sure. Overall: great man, great service.

I brought my own muffler to them and got quoted 50 dollars for him to weld it up. When I went to pay they said no no 150! And I supplied my own muffler! I would not have agreed on 150 dang dollars, I would have took it to masterbend in summerville. I had two other vehicles done by the old owner and it was 50-60 bucks to get it done thats why I went there but didnt know that he had sold the business.

WOW, Mike is an excellent fabricator. I less than 30 minutes he bent and installed a new tail pipe and hanger for my 1960 Dodge pickup, for a very reasonable price. You wont be disappointed.

Went by University Tire & Muffler to see if they could help with an exhaust project I was having trouble with. Should have gone there first, before ordering parts. We made an appointment for the following day and Mike fabricated the part I needed right there in his shop, with a single piece of tubing and installed it while I waited. No leaks, clean work, quick results, and at a price far better than the big name shops. Im glad to have found this business and will be recommending Mike to anyone in need of a good honest mechanic.

Its very rare to find mechanics who are as honest as Mike and Paul. Not only will they give you advice on what you need, they will also advise you on what you dont need. Had my cacylict converters installed with them a couple years ago and it was the best price in the city. Honest men with the greatest experience. You cant buy respect and thats what this company will always get from me. You will not make a mistake coming here. I highly advise it.

We had a great experience at University Tire & Muffler. Mike took the time to explain to us what was wrong with the car and how he was going to fix it. He did everything he could to save us money and stick to his quote even when complications arose while fixing the car. If I could give Mike more than 5 stars, I gladly would! I took my car in Monday morning, without an appointment, so I was anticipating my car to be there for a few days. I had asked if he could give me a quote and let me know how long it would take before he started any work. Within the next hour, he had a quote for me, and told me he could be finished later that day. A few hours later, my car was fixed, and the work done was less than the quoted price!He called me to keep my updated on what was wrong, what needed to be done (to get my approval first), and how much it would be. I had my muffler and exhaust tip put on here a week or so ago. Mike (The Owner) did a excellent job and gave me a great deal. He installed it within 30 minutes of being there and did an excellent job. It was installed on my 2010 Tacoma. He was very friendly and I watched him while doing my truck which he did professionally.

Great repair shop! The mechanic installed a brand new catalytic converter for under $500 (other shops I called wanted over $800 for the same repair). The mechanic also informed me the catalytic converter he installed would pass California inspections (the most stringent in the country ). Still no check engine light after a couple months !

They had me in and out super fast and for a great price, would highly recommend these guys

Highly recommend. I googled muffler shops around me to get a single in dual out exhaust done on my 14 Silverado. Stumbled upon this shop and Called Mike the owner. sounds amazing. Extreme attention to detail. Best exhaust Ive ever had done. Ill never go anywhere else again. Perfect welds and does not move! He will also educate you on choices and why, and how, which is extremely helpful. I felt like I knew the guy and we were just catching up before he got back to work. My AC went out and I brought my car in fearing the worst for a very expensive repair. Mike fixed it for $60 after replacing one hose. He could have charged $800 and I wouldnt have known any better. Let me say that an honest mechanic is worth his weight in gold!

WOW is all I can describe my experience with Paul at University Tire & Muffler. I have complimentary oil change from a dealership, they told me I have 3 broken motor mounts that needed immediate replacement and it would cost me $1350, it would be another $100 for the spark plugs. I asked around three other places and they all told me it would be around $1300 to $1400. My co-worker introduced me to University Tire & Muffler. I was skeptical at first but decided to give them a try. I dropped my car there around 1pm, less than four hours, Paul called and said the car was ready. The cost? Less than half of the price other shops quoted. Their service and work? Awesome!!!

Mike Morris, the owner, helped me fix my exhaust on my 84 Ford Ranger in like 2 hours one afternoon. He replaced the whole system and explained everything to me. He is an honest mechanic who can do pretty much anything...not just tires and mufflers.

So I just got here without an appointment and Mike Literally starts working on my 2007 5.7 Dodge Charger immediately. This guy is awesome, and super funny on top of that. This is definitely My muffler shop from now on.So Mike finished the Exhaust Delete modification in about 45mins (or less). My HEMI sounds amazing cant wait to go back to get the other work we talked about done.

The dealership wanted to charge me $1400 and Meineke wanted $900 to replace a muffler to get rid of the rumble and hum of an aftermarket. Just 45 minutes later and only $160, my truck sounds awesome.Do yourself a favor and go visit Mike and Paul @ University Muffler. They will not charge you for something you dont need. Great job. Mike and his team at University Tire & Muffler are absolute professionals. I came in with a very specific request, and Mike was able to help me every step of the way. I had a downpipe installed, along with a custom straight pipe exhaust for my 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata. Mike was able to get the job done for a very reasonable and respectable price, and achieved all the goals that I wanted. He gave me options on exhaust tips, and he used his better judgment to pick one out for me that looked fantastic on the car. I had my car back within 24 hours of drop off. I cant say enough about these guys. Ive taken every car Ive owned over the years here and mike has always fixed the problem for a good price and I had no more trouble. I told my whole family to go here and my sisters, uncle and co workers all go here for anything going on with any car. Only shop in town thats not out to get all of your money but they will keep you off the side off the road.

I got seriously overcharged, paid $275 for $75 muffler.

I brought my 2015 Camaro to have NPP mufflers installed about 3 weeks before Christmas. These guys did a marvelous job. The cuts where clean and professional. The welds where tight and the car sounds awesome. I also love the way I was treated despite the fact that I came at an odd and uncomfortable hour and was asking for immediate service without appointment. I dont write many Google reviews but this one deserves one.

INCREDIBLE SERVICE...I needed someone to work on my 2005 Nissan b/c of an idling problem it was having, and I did not want to have to take it to the dealership and get the run around. A co-worker suggested University and said that was where she always took her previous car. Well from the minute Paul answered the phone until the time I drove away from the shop, I was blown away. I felt as if I was dealing with a long time trusted friend, he fixed the problem and he even knocked out a dent that had been on the side of my car for over 9 years. Theres a very good reason for unanimous 5☆ reviews here and on Yelp.I needed my muffler replaced ASAP after Hudson Nissan had the vehicle for an unrelated issue (what had been an annoying whistling for a couple months had overnight turned into a furious growl). I called University Tire and Muffler a few minutes after the store opened and the owner worked me in between existing appointments. As I drove in, he was just finishing an appointment with an extremely satisfied customer who had a similar problem to mine. Once he had my car in the garage and lifted up, he showed me the issue (Hudson Nissan had perhaps accidentally detached the exhaust pipe from the muffler, which had some wear and rust on it anyway) and explained my options to me with repairing or replacing. I was very grateful to have the options (he agreed that the repair wasnt the better option, but he made it available at $100 less than replacement in case money was an issue). He replaced the whole thing in about 45 minutes, he was courteous and respectful the entire time in person and on the phone, and this was exactly what I have always wanted in an auto shop. Bonus: he also answered questions about my faulty tire pressure sensor. Its fantastic to know that he will readily educate his clients.
