I am visiting from out of town, and stopped by for a few items. The store was clean and I especially love the robot that slides along this place. They have a nice produce section and cute seasonal items.

Love the people that work here( Debbie and Stephanie are spectacular) always helpful. Remember there is a major shortage not the employees fault.P.S. finally getting used to the new setup!🤣🤣

I am usually very happy with Stop and Shop online shopping. Today, I signed in to the new online shopping. It looked the same but it did not work correctly. No matter what aisle i wanted to browse, it presented the meat page. I had to search for all other items by name.

Never too packed, nice location. I typically use this location for thr Peoples Bank. I like this branch a lot. Everyone very helpful and polite. There are also ATMs you can use when bank is closed.

Fresh meats and vegetables, well stock but the prices are out of this world !

I went grocery shopping today and bought flour tortillas. The package best by said it was good til the 28th of June. Well that was a damn lie, after my family and I ate the first 3 pieces I went to pick up the next piece and found mold all over the rest of the tortillas. I will never be shopping here again. I have the pictures to prove this review.

Theyve decided to once again change the store around AGAIN!! WHY?!? The aisles are a huge mess, incredibly difficult to find what youre looking for, the chart in the front of the store to find what you need is wrong. Ive shopped here on/off since 1995 as Ive lived in both North Haven & Wallingford and was never thrilled shopping here because its not setup like the Wallingford store but now Im really done coming here (never made sense where they had foods in each aisle). The only real reason why Ive shopped here in the past was that the parking lot is soooooo much better than Wallyworld BUT now this is my last time. Ill deal with the lack of parking at the Wallyworld store just to avoid a nightmare shopping trip. Most of us hate grocery shopping and this change/mess makes it worse. Ugh!

I love to purchase fresh fruit, sale items, and corn muffins. This store is conveniently located off the highway, easy off and on, to and from New Haven and Hartford. Just a suggestion to all Stop & Shop bakery manager in North Haven, more freshly store baked corn muffins, please! (Other varieties are also available). The corn muffins are so good! I purchase them at least 3x a week.And, there are affordable plant based food items near the front entrance, and organic, vegan, vegetarian, and free-from foods and items including laundry detergent and body care products located throughout the store.

Again, incredibly disappointed. This is my first review but there have been SEVERAL poor experiences. I bought 1.45 lbs of “choice” angus beef loin. $13.99 a pound. A total of $20.29. I cut off 6 ounces (approx 23% of the weight!!!) of inedible gristle. Buy anything from this store with caution. So angry.

This is a really great S&S — one of the better ones in the area. Very clean, well-organized and easy to navigate. Workers have always been helpful and I felt that they’ve done a great job during the pandemic months.

Im so surprised that the employees didnt have masks on,i got vaccinated but i always will where a mask to not only protect me from you but you from me!I hope they change or this will be the last time Im there.

Fairly good Stop and Shop. Good selection of groceries with a logical layout. Staff are willing to help and do as much as possible to fulfill requests. This store is missing a few items during the pandemic, but succeed with supplying some hard to find items. Cashier Lenny was friendly and kept up a good conversation while checking out my groceries.

Its a quick ride to get something in a pinch but I dont care for the service we had a experience with at the meat deli. The person was unprofessional and rude. Not just to us either, he continued to be sparky to everyone and Id rather drive 5 hours to get food and pay more than to deal with bad service.

I had placed an order 4 various items. I was given a date and time period in which to pick up the order. The order was ready b4 I was and I didnt know where to park. I called S&S when I arrived there, the employees were very accommodating and pleasant. The employee brought out my order was very kind, answered my questions, and loaded the groceries into my car. It was great. 👍😁😀😸😽

As a fellow Dave Ramsey baby stepper, Im always looking for ways to save. The grocery mark downs aisle is always where I START my shopping and this location is the best Ive come across yet. Always plentiful and in order. Kudos to the associate who always keeps it in such good order. The bakery mark downs are always a stop too. Love getting that open face garlic bread. Makes for a good quick pizza night for the kiddos. Fresh bakery items, especially that fruit tart, yummy! Wish the deli had smaller ready made containers of the pasta and various salads (tuna, chicken, etc) theyre always way bigger than I need for a quick lunch and waiting in line takes up my lunch break... no more salad bar thanks to covid, leaves less choices for a lunch pickup. Oh theres a lady (manager, I believe) at check out (short, curly hair) that is THE ABSOLUTE BEST! I gotta catch her name. Always sooooo helpful! Make her owner!

Best stop and shop in this area! I live about 2 minutes from the Hamden stop and shop but prefer to drive the extra 15 minutes to this one for the friendly staff and the store is always very clean and stocked

I would say I found this store well Stocked, organized and very clean. Also always running good sales and sales people very helpful. Many of their own products are very good!

Clean and well stocked for a moderately busy Saturday. There were a lot of full service checkouts which was great to see for those that need it.

Stop and Shop is doing all the right things. Public Service announcements to observe the one way aisles, wear a mask and keep a 6 foot distance between customers. BUT THE CUSTOMERS ARE NOT OBSERVING AND THE EMPLOYEES ARE NOT ENFORCING THESE RULES.

Today, February 12, 2019 I went to North Haven, CT Stop & Shop to return some pork that had prematurely gone bad. I bought it on 2/7 and went to cook it 2/11 and it had turned. First thing 2/12, before going to work, I went to return it so it would not sit in my fridge any longer. Unfortunately I saw the service desk would not open until 8:15 but I explained my situation to the blonde woman at the desk whose name I did not get. She was so helpful! She brought me to an open register (the cashier was Patty) and together they were able to refund me. I was so grateful to get that done right away. I hope they will both be recognized for their helpfulness today! Im so appreciative.Note: Ive been buying meat from Stop & Shop forever and its very rare that this has happened to me so Im still giving them 5 stars because the service was superior.

Anytime I go there its amazing. There is an incredible woman there with blonde hair in the self check out section and she is always positive, happy, extremely helpful and actually enjoys being there. She should be recognized for her incredible work. Groceries are expensive but when you are there and her energy, it takes a little of the ouch out of how much you have to spend.

I used the self checkout lane and I requested cash back. Admittedly, I left prior to taking my cash. 100% my own fault. I called the store to ask if a good samaritan may have returned it. The lady who answered the phone yelled to whomever and replied with, No and they used a store card to make their purchase. The money is gone. By no means do I blame anyone, but myself. That said, a little empathy from customer service would have been nice.

This is the most organized grocery store I have been in. Everything is stocked perfectly!

Very disappointed in this place since their strike. The atmosphere is tense and the employees are suddenly very sullen and blaise. Nobody is friendly. There was a lady who worked the front registers and was always so bubbly and energetic and acts like the life has been sucked out of her now. So sad to see because she had been so pleasant before the strike. We went there for great Memorial Day sales and everything was way way way overpriced. The employees stocking shelves just walk in front of you cutting you off then look at you with a nasty look of disgust like its your fault. There was only one register open and the cashier was so flustered over who knows what. All the employees walking all over the store and I had to bag my own groceries. I will be taking my business some place else. Stop & Shop was the only place I would go for groceries. You should be completely embarrassed now. What a disappointment. You have lost a very loyal customer to a competitor

First time in this stop and shop in North haven on Washington ave. The store was clean not very crowded at all. The cashier whose name was Diane.I made sure that I looked on my receipt. she was very unfriendly never ask if I would like a bag. I handed her the money and she act as if I was handing her poison. She never ask if I had a stop& shop card when I told her that I had a card she just looked at me. Finally she finished totalling up my order very rude and handed me my change. Because of this rude, unfriendly cashier I will not be shopping at this stop&shop again. This happened on January 22, 2020@4:05pm.

Stop and shop is by far not my favorite place to get groceries. But the location is convenient. They really need to up their game, clean up the stores, and be competitive with their prices of they want to succeed. One win they have going for them is the self scanners that you use to scan your food and items as you shop. You bag your groceries as you go so it saves time at the register and you can budget your trip accordingly.

Found everything fast!! Check out fast, and had a bagger!! Great sales!!

Today it wasnt a lot of people. I went in and got out.

This place NEVER has hot food ready at dinner time. The people at the deli are rude. I saw 1 employee washing down the walls near the fryer with a garden hose. As I watched looking for some hot food I noticed he was 2ashing the wall down over the fryer and spraying water directly into it. As the hot oil was popping his buds in the deli were cheering him on. I left and will never go to that store again.

Waited outside the store this morning for designated hours for older customers to pass so I could enter. Watched employee collecting carts cough and wipe nose with hand then collect carts. He had gloves on but that doesnt protect everyone who had to get a cartPlus coughed in the small vestibule with customers present. Should be wearing a face mask or not working if coughing.

The place is very clean and very fast, some of the people who bag bags dont so it as good, like put 2 items in one bag and 10 in another but no complaints really, it tends to crowd easily due to a narrow check out line, but the people wished us a happy Superbowl Sunday so, very nice people

Produce section needs drastic improvements, used to be much better. I went in for peppers and their selection of hot peppers amounted to a small pile of jalapenos, nothing else. The Hamden location is far superior. Same with the organic selection, Hamden is much better than North Haven location.

It might look like they doing something, yea for them self. Theres alot of dictatorship going on around.

Thankfully it wasnt too busy today only had one person in front of me in line. Although they really do need to update their bottle plastic and can return machines it should not take me 20 minutes to get $2 worth of bottles done I dont know why they keep rejecting their own water bottles

The Freshness of meats and produce is always questionable. I saw packages of pork and beef that were brown around the edges. Not altogether happy with prices and to top it off, that robot is very annoying.

Why have express self checkout if customers with two carts full of groceries are able to use it!! I prefer Stop & Shop but what I saw today was wrong and someone needs to police that area and tell those customers to go to a cashier line!!

This week there were great prices 4 meats. With stop and shop card there is a big savings. Sheba wet cat food $20 for $16 savings of $4.

They had everything I wanted with one or two exceptions and all my digital coupons came through.

I live in Hamden and shop at the Hamden store. However, I was in North Haven for a medical appointment and decided to shop in the North Haven S&S.My impressions: T* here were two entrances/exits. I could have used a notarized wagon but had no idea where they were. Clearly not at the entrance I used.* Some of the aisles do not have signs describing products in that aisle.* Much smaller selection of meat and fish than Hamden.* While in line to check out, an employee suggested that I use another check out with a shorter line. That was helpful. Valerie, the check out person, was very careful to sort the food to her left so that when packing frozen could be together, etc. However, one bag had a package of grapes at the bottom of heavy containers, discovered on return home.* One aisle had a display in the isle. It caused traffic problems. I was looking at soups and that section was across from the aisle display. Other shoppers walking down aisle had to wait for me to move my wagon or wait for another shopper from the other directions to step aside. NO aisle displays.

Good shopping place. Fresh products and attractive discounts.

Gather around all thee who listen to the tale of what I would like to call the freedom panini. I walked into the stop and shop deli, where I greeted by a man who closely resembled a slim jim, an employee named mike. After lots of debate over what I should have, he offered to make me a buffalo chicken bacon panini with ranch. First time dining on this finery, and I highly recommend you trying the many panini/sandwich options. Excellent customer service, the friendliest employee. Fantastic experience!
