Power was off earlier. It has been on for over an hour. They closed the entire truck stop. Will not be reopening tonight. Will not even let drivers in to use the restrooms because according to the manager Tommy, the computer system is not up so there would be liability issues (?). That does not make sense. We had already paid $20.00 for parking. So we will not be leaving. Well be walking to the Pilot across the street and will be giving them all of our business moving forward. I guess theyve all been working too hard in the store and restaurant and need a night off. Poor little things, I hope they close this location permanently.Edit: theyre back open this morning. Not sure when they opened. I refuse to go inside and spend any money and never will again.

Long waits for truck repairs… waited 20 hours then I had to leave without any repairs completed. Petro is famous for big Holy parking lots. See! I had one truck seriously damaged at another Petro with potholes the size of a truck!

Needs some MAJOR updating. It looks like a blast from 1984. Several drink and cappuccino machines were BROKEN. Cleanliness needs improvement.

This place used to have decent food, now unless you have time to sit down and waste hours waiting on slow waitresses you simply dont eat.There is no fastfood option, no more buffet to go, the rollergrill is bare, as was the counter for sandwiches to go. This place has gone to hell, guess drivers dont need breakfast.We were going to fuel, but the keypad was ripped off the pump, and after we seen the pathetic service inside we opted to move on and fuel elsewhere. Wont be stopping here again.

Due many complaints about to much paid parking, my observation is that you can park anywhere you like because due to unprecedented times they dont have enough help to empty the trash can in the bathroom.and definitely not go out in the middle of the might and police the parking lot .

Wanted to buy some merchandise that was marked at $12.99 each went up to the cashier and they rang up at $19.99. I told them I should get it at the marked price and one of the cashiers was a miserable person And told me do I want them or not What terrible service and mean people. Nothing like loves flying js or pilot this place is terrible

Could use some updating. Staff are friendly enough, though I get the feeling they loath upper management. For the estimated $43,000 dollars a month they collect on paid parking, youd expect the parking lot to be in a cleaner condition, given that it would probably only cost about 300 or less to sweep the lot, but theres debris, cigarette butts and bags of trash evenly distributed throughout. Otherwise an ok place to stop.

I got pm a on on 7/11 the less than tech took four hours to do it he walked around like he never seen a truck before. I felt uncomfortable watching him work on my truck. I asked the shop manager to check his work when he was done. Manager went out to the bay stared at his phone for three minutes and told me it looked good. 7/12 pulled in the road ranger Marion Illinois parked got out of the truck oil all down the side from oil filter o ring blown out. Wait now for TA to repair and bring more oil. Henry you should quit your job and give me my twenty dollars back.

Unless you want to pay for a reserved spot and not get one, DO NOT try and stay there with a semi. They need to take the time and do their jobs, kick trucks out that do not belong in those spots. And when I called from the truck, as we were driving around the lot for 15 minutes..her response was there are all kinds of reserved spots out there, you have to look No, you need to do your job.Terrible service. Keep my 20 bucks for this review! We left the lot. Will NEVER return

Im here at 19:00 on 7-22-2021 and this is the worse service Ive seen in years. Rice was burnt but the fish was great. The service sinks. Not one person ask me if I wanted a refill! Nor if I wanted anything else. They put my food on the other side of the table just to hand someone else their food. Hands down to them!

Horrible experience for truck drivers. Out of 14 showers on a Monday morning only one was in use. The rest said Default cleaning/Out of service. Girl at the service desk said they only have one person working there. She didnt know how to refund shower credits saying that Ultra One is not really theirs. No idea how the ultra one app works either.Parking is okay-ish. Although a lot of it requires blind spot backing in.

One friendy cashier, the rest of them dont say thank you, womens restroom needs routinely cleaning, trash was still full from the day before in the stalls, soap dispensers empty, husband said mens restroom needed alot of cleaning, no soap..at 4:30 am, low on coffee, cashier acted like we again needed to thank her..gave 2 stars only because iron skillet was good and their staff knows friendliness great service

If you are a professional driver and havent eaten for hours, you might pick a different place to eat before you sleep. 20 minutes to get a drink on the table and another 15 to order food. After another 30 I finally asked for someone to check my order. Got my salad and here we are 30 minutes later, still waiting for my food.🥺I just want to eat and go to bed.... pretty please!!

A lot of African American are working and visiting here the place is very dirty us we all know block people are not clean the shower is very dirty not clean and let people use one shower couple times some driver refused and some of them had no choice

Very unprofessional shop.Was going to use them out of convenience and necessity and was given the run around several time.Absolutely a joke of a shop.

Guy who identified himself as the assistant shop manager here set me up to get massively ripped off by his friend. I call shop and am told they can fix my issue. I drive from Malvern. Get here and assistant shop manager tells me they can not fix my issue but knows a guy. This guy is great. Really knows his stuff. The only mobile diesel mechanic they allow on the lot. Guy shows up. Hooks up his computer. Tells me he cant fix my issue. Charges my friend who owns the truck $450.00. $450.00 for less than 5 minutes of his time and does absolutely nothing to get me back on the road. Thinking about it now I would bet these two are running a scam. That $450.00 is even now, at this moment, split between the two of them. I am feeling so disgusted right now. Just sick. These two are nothing less than criminals.

This place has a cafe & a lunch counter. With that said the Lunch Counter mere the fuel cask makes the beat dam pork chops you will ever find anywhere including your mommas house!These gals can cook! Every TA & Petro in America should have to send their lunch counter staff here to learn how to cook. The food is amazingly seasoned, the food is cooked perfect & you will be licking you fingers and go back for 2nds if you eat here.I don’t know what you gals do different than every other truck stop in America, or maybe in Little Rock AR you all just know how to cook, but please don’t ever stop, they should take the cafe out and expand the lunch counter, you are all the superstars off fabulous food!! Awesome truck stop! I never understood why drivers get upset about paid parking. If you dont like it park somewhere else and if you fill up all your fuel at TA and petros then you can use your points or ultra one credits to pay for it.

The cook tried to get over on us by serving a pound of fried batter in place of chicken tenders.Theyve changed the spaghetti meat sauce which is awful. It tastes like tomato sauce with uncooked celery they put cheap meat over it. After reading reviews of the lack of courtesy and regard for cleaning showers, maybe they should shut this place down and build a rest area for truckers, of course youll still be drawing from the local workforce for cleaning.

Will never return to this location. I told the waitress the sauce was for goulash. Not spaghetti sauce and she was argumentative and rude about telling me Im wrong and wouldnt remake it. She was rude when I told her I wasnt paying if they wouldnt fix it. Then I go to get cigarettes and they dont carry cartons? I call bull. She just didnt want to go to the back.

22 hour oil change! Drove into shop for a synthetic oil change 9.30pm; shop guy said they did not have the filters for our 2019 Volvo, supposedly they checked shops in area too including Speedco. They would call us in the morning. They did NOT call, we did. Then They took 3 hours to do the oil change while training 2 new guys. Service mechanic said they had filters all along. Speedco had them all along. LIES AND INCOMPETENCE. UNACCEPTABLE.

The deli/ hot food counter needs to get a refresher course in business. They have made up goofy rules about what they cant sell together, that i havent found one other Petro to follow. I said forget it then, Ill give my business to another truckstop

Iron Skillet.

Far too much of the parking is Paid Reservations, the only redeeming quality to this truck stop is the restaurant its an Iron Skillet so its so-so. Avoid if possible.

The last time I stopped here,I had a steak(most cooks don’t even know proper cooking colors)and it was actually pretty fantastic,so much that I gave the waitress a tip and the cook,seasoned Very well and the proper color for medium!! Way to go night shift.Now,I went in for breakfast this morning and ordered a meat lover’s omelette the way I wanted it, now,I asked the waitress to put my hot cakes under a heat lamp till I ate the omelette and she preceded to tell me that “she didn’t want the other’s to get to it!!”The omelette was way under cooked,had onions (not even mentioned on the menu),a 5oz portion of meat(which is about the size of a small child’s hand,no mushrooms,nor hash browns (as I ordered on the omelette,over all,I say come for supper,Not breakfast and if you do,Don’t order the omelette!!!Good DayStill Hungry

A tip for the waitress.. when a customer comes in and says I would like a steak.. Chefs Choice (any steak any cook except well done..You should probably not complain and tell them that they are one of those people (complicated orders).You should tell the cook to grab the best (usually most expensive) piece of meat and then bill the customer.. with a smile... and not blow your tip that would be more than your hourly wage because you think its some kind of Chefs Special. LoL.. wthI work very hard very long hours. I make a lot of money and just want a damn steak without a complaining waitress that cant take the simplest order on the planet. I try to share that with other hard working people.I can find another place to get it.

The shower was not clean. Used bar soap was left in the shower,toilet not scrubbed inside or flushes, sink had shavings,trash wasnt emptied. I was disappointed and wont take a shower or buy food from here. I cant trust sanitation at this place

The best shop I’ve had my truck and trailer into excellent service friendly staff smiling faces and just all around great people!! Very knowledgeable and helpful mechanics and front desk girls! A HUGE thanks to Josh for being very thorough and going above and beyond!!! Also a HUGE thanks to Angie for being friendly and having a wonderful since of humor and giving me some good laughs while waiting for the work to be done on my truck and trailer! And thanks to the service manager for letting us watch the super bowl off his phone since we couldn’t get the tv to scan the channels!!! Oh and I’ll never forget Angie’s favorite saying... Needed someone to do an emergency fluid top off for reefer. 10 minutes work but apparently oil changes are more important than loosing an entire load.

This place has never been great. But last night someone unloaded 6+ rounds about 50 yards away from my parked truck up near the back of the building. Some body was chasing a small group of young men firing off the rounds. The chase originated from off the parking lot. Luckily only a reefer trailer was hit i heard. About 8 Cop cars came with helicopter for hours... Also had 2 beggars who were living in cars up front hit me up this time. Petro needs better lighting in the parking lot! Security also needs to patrol the outside better and not hang out inside so much.. This place is going to have some kind a major incident soon if they dont keep a better eye on things!!

Extremely, busy lots of partaking before sundown. Shop is ok during early morning and after 12 dont bother. Restaurant food is good, service is ok, and overall good if just passing through. Get here early if you want to stay the night.

Went here to weigh and park 1 night, I was told by 2 short Afro Guys, that if I wasnt gone in 45 minutes they would call the police, I was conducting BUSINESS and unfortunately this behavior warrants my NO LONGER being a customer at this location.

I went to the Barber Shop with low expectations from my previous haircuts from other truck stops. The Barber at this location is the best I have had across the whole 48 states that I run. She was very good and I left with a new attitude about truck stop barbershops. She made my day.

Woken up by guy beating on my door and yelling they were going to have me towed. Called and talked to someone told every spot is reserved even though it isn’t marked. I paid their extortion. I was in the middle of my break.

It is what it is, Covid has taken the fun out of driving and living out here on the road. The one bright spot is the little kitchen off the fuel island here at the Petro, not the Iron Skillet, but the little to go kitchen. I just had the stuffed peppers, a little over cooked, but still better than anything you will get in the Skillet. Yesterday, the roasted chicken, a leg/thigh, I believe it was lemon pepper, and OMG, was that good! Cooked perfectly, seasoning was just right, and then the wings... They have REAL chicken wings, not that frozen stuff, but fresh and baked wings. If you are hungry, this is the place to stop.

Its pretty bad when you walk into the restaurant at 9pm and set down to get a cup of coffee and a piece of pie and the waitress starts off to get my coffee and they were out so the other waitress tells her dont make that cracker any coffee we close at 10 and they wonder why society is so against them had the shoe ben on the other foot there would of ben a war

They need to think about the drivers bringing there stuff. Driver puts up with so much stuff on the road then get here and have to pay 19.99 to park to get some rest. Be charging to pull in to get fuel before long.

We stopped here to fill up. I was hungry and I needed a rest break. The bathrooms were spacious and was stocked well. There was a line to the hot food when I first came in. The lady at the counter was so nice. I have a hard time resisting smoked Turkey legs and they had them. I got the dinner and a dessert. Definitely filled me up.

Americas biggest robbers . I did oil change and also paid for tire air. His mechanic did not close the air valve properly and the air escaped. When I spoke, they said that the mechanic is gone, for this you have to create a separate work order. And I was charged $ 53. Spoiled my 4 hours and was talking so dirty, cant tell. This is a good way to steal and rob money. One mechanic does something bad and the other fixes it by taking money. All are thieves. Dont go here.

Terrible service, had to get out own silverware ask for refills. Didnt complain when only one salad came for our 2 dinners we just shared the one but when my steerburger came out smothered in raw onions and cold gravy I gave it back. The waitress not only took my food and didnt return to the table she didnt offer to heat it up or replace it or ask if I wanted something else. She just simply left me there to watch my companion eat. I walked to the counter for my bill and she flipped it down and walked away. 1 hour and 40 minutes I could of been sleeping

We had some repairs done at this shop and they demanded that we pay them cash or money order. We went and got them money from Loves and they refused and said that we must get money order from TA. Mechanics are rude, Derea, the black receptionist in unprofessional and uses f bombs. If you are immigrant please don’t use this place.

Called ahead for a PM Service and was told 2 hours. I got there in about 2 hours and had to wait in line to check in. I was told by the manager that because I called ahead I was next. After 5 hours I gave up and left. I drove from home to get this done and had to leave without getting it done. I will no longer wait to get this done at the location near home. I sincerely doubt I’ll ever get anything done at this location again. They are severely understaffed and they are incredibly slow.

Worst ever. Waited on chicken fried chicken for 45 min to go. I was the first to go order. Watched 3 people that ordered 20 minutes after me get their food and leave. Then I got cold instant potatoes with my chicken fried chicken. This Petro was garbage when it comes to service. I wont stop here again.

Christmas dinner at the iron skillet was absolutely disgusting. The food was barely edible. The turkey was so dry it was difficult to chew. Ham was stupid sweet. Way to much sugar. Green bean casserole was salty as hell. I barely touched the food on my plate. So not only am I out $20. Im leaving this establishment still hungry.

Not a good experience at the Iron skillet and this surprises me as they one in Ohio has far more to offer. Paid $10.79 for a breakfast buffet....ANTS crawling on the table, eggs swimming in water, sausage links cold as ice and biscuits were hard as a rock. This is definitely not the par for this facility. Coffee was excellent though and the staff was super friendly!!!

On Christmas day, we stopped here for a holiday dinner. It was so heartwarming to see such hospitality. Thank you, to the staff that works here. Yall brought such joy to my little family on Christmas day. Despite the fact, we all have families at home we cant be with, yall showed so much kindness.

Not a big fan of this location. The fuel island is always busy and the key pads on the pumps are down to frequent. Unfortunately the company I work for force’s us to use this one. Big parking lot though. No problem finding parking if you’re in before 19:00 or so.

Facilities are OK, but by all means, avoid the barbershop. The dude w dreads has no earthly idea how to cut hair!! And they charge $25 bucks!! After he pointed out my white hairs, he proceeded to give me the worst fade ive ever had. No alcohol. No gel so I could fix it atleast. Never again. Believe me, im looking out for you this is SOLID advice.

My daughter had the chicken leg and it was fire. Cornelius gave us good customer service and Made for sure our shower had all essentials we needed for a clean shower. Thank you Guy for the good customer service

Me and my Husband went to eat there last night. They used to have the best chicken fried steak. Idk what u call it now. its was like the microwave did all the cooking and the mashed potatoes were almost see through. It was nasty. not worth ur money going to eat there anymore.

Out of large coffee cups! Kiosk doesn’t work to get your free coffee. So they want you to pay for 2 cups of coffee instead of having a large cup coffee. Lady behind the counter gives me attitude because I gave her the coffee back.

The food and service in the restaurant was AWSOME!Unfortunately the staff working in the front store were the worst EVER they had no coffee and were arguing with each other on whos gonna make more the soda machine had no soda or juice in it and it was filthy mess I watched 3 people walk out to go across the street to PILOT where Im sure they got much better service with much nicer people NO STARS FOR THIS STORE I WONT BE BACK! I stopped at this location within the past month. My sole comment for this visit noted is on Ms. Mamie, cleaning lady with the pearls. I had a wonderful conversation with her as she worked her mandatory laundry for the showers and I folded my own personal laundry. Very kind, helpful, and no nonsense worker. Doesnt stand around and do nothing. She could teach other employees regarding working hard, working quietly, and not being on a cell phone. Good job, maam. :)

This is by far the worst experience ever with any of the locations. Reserved a spot and they would not honor it. Would not refund my money; and also, evedently after two days trying to speak with a manager, no manager ever works because there is never one there.

Stopped for dinner at the skillet ordered the cowboy cut steak medium rare, steak was a little red in the middle I thought it was over from there, however it turned out to be one of the juiciest steaks Ive had in a long time. The fat even melted with just a few chews. From the pictures it looks like the veggies are steamed squash and zuchini. I would have preferred that with some corn instead of the sweet carrots and green beans.

This is a regular company approved fuel stop for us. It’s always clean and the restaurant has good food, but they need to do something about the beggars. You can’t fuel the truck or walk across the parking lot without being approached by someone with a sad sob story. I’ll buy someone a meal, but I’m not giving you cash. Get a job like everyone else! Petro, you need to do a better job about getting rid of these dead beats..

Hate to give negative reviews but this the 3rd time been here to fuel at truckers Diesel islands. Most of the key pads are still not working, and they only had 1 register open with a line of folks. Has the potential to be a great truck stop, but till pads are fixed Ill be bypassing for now. Is what it is Petro

Went to iron skillet and was massively disappointed. Upon entering I was told that I couldn’t order anything. This was at 6 pm 10-09-18. I said that was fine I wanted the buffet anyway. I am used to the iron skillet buffet being very good with a decent selection and somewhat fresh food. This experience however has turned me away from Iron Skillet for sometime. Everything on the dinner side of the buffet looked as though it had been put out two days prior. The baked chicken was raw and cold on the inside, the beans were hard (it felt like biting into popcorn kernels). They had some kind of beef patty’s that were so old they started bowing like a piece of fried bologna. I asked the chef if he could replace the food and he said that if I didn’t want it to not eat it. I ate the salad bar instead which wasn’t horrible. In the time it took me to eat 1 plate of salad about 12 customers came in and complained about the food. The cook told them the same thing. Unfortunately the waitresses were taking the brunt of the complaints as the cook quit coming out. One of the customers asked the waitress if she would rather eat this or go across the street to subway and she said that she doesn’t eat here.Massively disappointed with the food at this location. I would rather go hungry then have to suffer this locations food again.On the store front, it was okay until you go past the registers toward the drink coolers. Once I entered this area (which takes up about half of the store) I was hit with an overwhelming smell of mold. I thought that I might just be smelling things so I asked another customer and they said that they were getting light headed from it.I would consider this place a very last resort. There is a Pilot across the street. It has slightly less parking spots but it is way better condition and the food won’t kill you.
