Shout out to the lumber department! While I loaded 1500 bucks in wood the the guy who works in lumber with long hair cruised around in the electric cart. He cruised by me while I was loading 20 2x10’s and I said hey man you’re really killing it! James helped me the other day and he was awesome. Ken always helps he’s awesome, and so is Connie.
Grandma and I went looking for a big, vibrant, beautiful fake Christmas Tree this year and found exactly what we came for! Sadly once we got home and set it all up we went to turn it on and a huge section of the trees lights did not work so we had to return it for a new one and they made the exchange no problem, they were really great about the whole thing and they were even about to close for the night but waited for us so we could still decorate as a family that night like we had planned. Thanks home depot, Christmas is special to my family and I. Happy holidays Home Depot💗
I had good customer service in the appliance center today! I had employee help!
Great place. Always find what Im looking for. Last visit they even went out of their way to find my product I needed
Most of the staff is very knowledgeable about the products and where things are. I love that they are so friendly with everyone that comes in. On the plus side they give military/veteran/military family discount. Each time I have gone in for something I always end up picking up a few more things that I didnt realize I needed. There are so many products to choose from its nice to not be stuck with one brand of products.
Very friendly and helpful employees. A clean and well stocked store.
Home Depot is my go to place when I need to do things around my house. They have a lot of options for all my project needs. The garden center is huge. I love this place.
Prices are usually too high, and the employees are an odd mix of super knowledgeable (20%) and idiots (80%). I wish they would have the competent ones wear a special vest or something, so we could find them. They are well stocked.
A necessary evil but they allow my dog in there with me unfortunately you can never find help when you need it. If you can find it at ACE go there and support the locals
Big corporate stores arent really different enough to get more than a 3 star.Employees are all pretty awesome.
Hit or miss with customer service. There are some really helpful people who work there, but a couple of bad apples who don’t care.
I managed to get some blinds cut here, but appearantly there is a blind shortage as of November 2021, so keep in mind they might be limited on what sizes and lengths they have available.
Helpful employees and able to find everything that I needed.
Friendly service, helped me find everything I needed to complete my project (i.e. that which I couldnt already get at Ace).
Normally home Depot does a great job but this time they failed me now thats only been once that they have failed me but for the years that Ive gone there they have not failed me normally I am happy with their services but this time was just a complete flop
Really clean store plenty of employees to help out all really nice people
Needed some moving boxes and didnt wanna troll the grocery stores, so ran in Home Depot and found all I needed in 5 minutes! All sizes and clean reasonably priced boxes! Going back tomorrow for more!!!
I tried to have a set of keys cut at a few local businesses. I was denied because I didn’t purchase the keys from them. Went to Home Depot and asked an employee for assistance. He was able to cut the keys for me. When I asked how much I owe for the service he said no charge because I didn’t purchase keys from them. I tried to tip the gentleman but he refused sating it was against company policy. Thank you Home Depot. God bless.
Its home Depot . My second home these days . Will the price of lumber ever get back to reasonable ?
Good selection of materials, fittings, appliances, hardware, electrical and plumbing supplies, gardening, yard maintenence, they probably have what you need. Geared more to the homeowner handyperson, with professional quality products as well.
Searched the HomeDepot.com site for a hand truck at my store. It was exactly in the aisle the web site said it was and exact price. Friendly check out and informative cashier named Wes made sure I had all I needed, and the bonus was a boquett of lilys .
Very helpful with service of cutting wood to what I needed. And they have Solar powered rechargable batteries.
Forklift skills leave much to be desired. Damage to lumber and sheetrock is common
Had to take a clock back..no problemsHas 10 % military discounts👍👍Wish they had small carts too.Parking is good.so is the service
This place has terrible customer service if you actually need help with something. I wanted to get a plant that was too heavy for me to lift. I asked the cashier in the plant section if I could get someone to help me with it, but she said she personally could not and Id have to go find someone to help me. So I saw one guy who I tried to speak to and he just flat out ignored me. I found another employee who very grudgingly talked to me, but did not help me. He said I could buy it and pick it up later with someone who could help. But, it turns out I could not do that because they dont let you purchase plants to pick up later. Not 1 single employee offered to help or even indicated that help was possible. I was blown away by how unhelpful and rude these people were.
When Home Depot opened there was professional people to assist and help you. Now you have to go looking for someone and they may not be an expert in the department.
Worst HD experience of all time. Of 11 different areas visited, every employee said that it was not their department and they knew nothing about it.. There were more employees milling around with lights on but nobody home look than I have ever witnessed. We were passed off to three employees simply to get some wire shelving cut. Many ordinary products were not stocked. On top of that. There was no estimate of when they would be restocked. It is no wonder that Amazon has so much market share.
I am a Home Depot fan...BUT, I still am not ready to give them 5 stars. They have a lot of items...and when they have sales...you can get some great deals 👌. The problem here is selection! The have limited hardware...and I still have to go to ACE if I am looking for something more specific. Other items...like lighting or bathroom fixtures are very dated and not very modern at all!As I had stated...I love Home Depot...but they do need to improve their overall selections for all of us DIY homeowners. 🇺🇸
Seems like you have to have an engineering degree or some sort of in depth training to cut blinds. And apparently there is only one such person that holds this prestigious qualification and that person is never to be found when you need blinds. Ask another store associate, “oh yes I’ll get someone back there”. Thirty minutes later, still nothing. Or have been told the “Oh no one is here today that can do that”...what the hell do you mean?! Is it just me or every time I come here and know what I need to get I have a dozen employees asking if I need help. The time I actually DO NEED help...ghost town. Frustrating to say the least.
Ended up waiting 25 minutes to get help in power tools and another 20 minutes for the employee to find the tool i wanted just to find out they didnt have it
Kinda a fun store to get stuff you ABSOLUTELY need...however we were buying some pre-primed moldings & wanted to know what kind of wood it was. The worker guy tried to tell us it came from the white wood tree! We couldnt keep a straight face! 😂
Bring your own bags and expect to load them yourself, customer service isnt a priority, Not the Employees fault, its just poorly run.
Home Depot was very easy to shop at as usual the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about everything in their store
Its just too difficult to get ANY help, much less KNOWLEDGEABLE help. The front workers are ok, but most of the employees in departments have horrible attitudes and havent the foggiest idea of.....
Usually have what I need quick in and out
2 days in a row Ive had an associate call someone to the key center and was told someone would be over shortly and both times Ive had to track another associate down after waiting and no one ever showing up. Pretty frustrating and this store rarely seems to have what youre actually looking for
Friendly service. Helpful in store customer service. Found what I was looking for in short order. Well organized isles.
Staff was very helpful and just so kind!!!
Helpful employees with smiles and patience and many beautiful things
Wonderful got all the help I needed from the employees
They have a decent selection of things in this Home Depot. However it is a smaller Home Depot if you need things as far as appliances youre going to have to wait because the majority of the time they do not stock many items and be weary when they arrive, when you pick up the majority of the time they will arrived damaged. Their lumber department is very lacking and if you need lumber I highly recommend Frontier Lumber in Oak Harbor. They have awesome one-on-one customer service and they do free delivery. Yep thats right you heard me free delivery not the outrageous charge you will get from Home Depot. It has also been my experience with Home Depot that their employees are not very knowledgeable in anything they do. If you need tips on construction, electrical, plumbing I again would recommend Frontier lumber.
Associates were very friendly, and self checkout made it easy to leave the store. No complaints.
Great location to shop at. Customer service in the paint area was friendly and helpful!
I hate feeling like I just wandering trying to find what I need, but get the Home Depot app and it will tell you exactly what Aisle and Bay to go to. That makes it so much easier to get in and back out quickly!
Great way to find things to work on.
Very good check out service. Hard to find someone to help look for something.
The most helpful and friendliest staff from all HD stores that I ever visited 👍
Love this home depot! People are so friendly and willing to help with anything :)
Good selection. Typical of large home improvement stores.Edit: Just purchased a new dryer and was very impressed by a young man named Gian. He was very helpful and professional. Very atypical for most people his age these days, or for that store in general. It wasnt even his department. He is the Millwork Specialist. Thank you Gian. Great job!
This Home Depot is much less busy than Burlington store. In and out fast. Staff are good.
Good place to get what you need.
Very nice customer service today. Bought a bbq & yard edger. The young gentle man that help me also loaded the product into my truck.. probably the best customer service Ive had there.. Appreciate his help.. Thanks Linda
Not enough help on the sales floor.
Good service, a little too good for covid . a little too close for comfort.
Its the home creep show, you want it, they have it
I love working here.
Awful store!! Sit at curbside pickup after implementing their new very FLAWED method of letting them know you have arrived. Saw other older customers bringing their own items out to their cars probable after GIVING UP.....like we ultimately did. Women struggling to load 8 big bags of garden soil into their vehicles without help.We tried calling them with No success. No one answers the phone in a department, curbside pickup or customer service for 1/2 hour.Terrible service
Love to visit Home Depot as much as I can.I can even come with my dog while I’m shopping. The staff there is so helpful and very kind.Love to spend my money there!
Called and asked for price on house paint, sat on hold for 10 minutes and was then told we are to busy to take 30 seconds to tell me a price on a gallon of paint with their paint code. Was told I should just come in.... great way to help with stay at home orders.Fallow up..... I went in there was no one at the paint counter or any customers waiting. Took less than a minute to give me a price..3rd fallow up..?This time with their paint code I called in with their build numbers. I was told again over the phone we don’t do that and are too busy again.... I waiting in line out side the store for 30 minutes, I went to the paint department and waiting in line for 5 mins to have them ask for the number on the bar code to get and what finish and how much I wanted... which to 30 seconds.... hmm don’t get why they couldn’t do that on the phone... seems like it would have been 10 times easier and then I could have done curb side pick up..... the oak harbor Home Depot is the worse Home Depot I’ve been in and has the worse service in Washington state
It was simple. Pulled up to curbside pick up, called the number on the sign in front, waited for the attendant to get my order number, and voila...easy peasy. The attendant was very nice and welcoming.
Its a Home Depot, so pretty much what youd expect. Staff are friendlier and more helpful than average, but otherwise unremarkable as compared to big box hardware stores.
Good prices and good hours of operation
The workers were extremely helpful in helping me find exactly what I was looking for
People working didnt really know where or if they had it.found it anyway on my own
Home depot is amazing and this location is no exception. It has so much to offer and the staff are incredibly friendly. My only complaint is that they dont seem to offer the same amount of variety as other home depots.
Busy but they usually have everything I need to fix something at home
Always good to go!
Average performance regarding to having adequate stocking on hand, and sales assistance is fair.
The store is clean and neat with helpful employees and is a well stocked home center.
Helpful staff. Quick checkout.
I go to Home Depot in Oak Harbor several times a month and when working on a project it is several times per week. This was one of my least enjoyable experiences and is stacked on top of several recent similar experiences.I am shopping for a new electric range and went to Home Depot for what I hoped was the best selection and price. I spent more than 30 minutes in the appliance section and could not find anyone to answer questions.I am looking to buy and pay for installation so am looking at about a thousand bucks. I would hope for a little service and some questions answered. If Home Depot expects me to find all the answers online, they may as well close the storefront. I am sure Amazon sells ranges and delivers for free with Prime. I can hire a handyman to install. Better yet, I will go to Broadview Appliance in Oak Harbor. They have the same selection, comparable prices and great customer service.
Awesome associates. Always ready to lend a helping hand.
Im addicted to DIY now thanks to all the help, support, and ideas from the staff
With the power out all day it was one of only a few places open. They still had flashlights and batteries and their checkout was still working.
Its disappointing, very few of the people that work here can help you because of the rate of turnover and certifications. Theres one guy that really knows the inventory, which is impressive.
The Oak Harbor Home Depot is a disappointment almost every trip....people either ignore you or are rude to you because theyre understaffed...I only go there when I have to, otherwise Ill go to Mt. Vernon or Lowes
Your average big box store.
Definitely the go to store for DIY Home Projects.
Only place I shop for home improvement tools, hardware, fittings, lawn care, lumber etc. And everyone is helpful on finding the items you need if the phone app is acting up.
Found our new Smart Lock Keyless Entry System and then sum....
Got everything I needed as usual thanks guys
Out of everything and way to expensive !!! Would rather use a small lumber yard but there putting them out of business and quality of products junk sold at a high dollar price !!
Most likely has what you need, pretty good place
I want to give a shout out to Christie in flooring. She helped me with some tiles purchases and was very patient, knowledgeable and just nice! But also, I love this Home Depot store. Everyone there is incredibly helpful and works very hard to help me when Im there - which is a lot! Thanks to the management who work so hard to make the atmosphere of the store a helpful one.
Friendly people. I will be back.
A pretty standard Home Depot. Some standout points are: the checkout staff is super friendly and the short lines move quickly. The warehouse is clean, organized and well stocked. The Customer Service counter needs LOTS of improvement. So many people standing around chit chatting and not helping customers.
The Home depot is a great home improvement store for home projects as well as a great variety of plants for the garden and decoration for the yard
The customer service is horrible. They either yell at u or tell u its not their dept. The brunette women with the glasses is the worst. Shes a rude condescending person who needs to understand her roll in customer service.
Website said they carried a specific product. I called before hand and the associate said they carried the specific product. I drive over an hour to pick up said specific products and a very rude associate walks through up and down the aisles looking for the product, eventually ending with they might be stashed, but i cant find them. SorryYeahhhh looks like Im shopping at lowes from now on. What a bad experience.
Very friendly and mostly knowledgeable staff. Clean store with a reasonable selection of their products considering the size of the town. I go there often for the things I need on a regular basis due to the pricing.
Got all but one thing and they are running out of popularity products.
Literally saved my life when I first moved into town. Great staff, always willing to help if you need to special order something or order something online that they dont have in stock. The store is also kept really clean which I appreciate!!
Had to buy a new fridge after ours broke one night. Jennifer went above and beyond to help us find the right replacement in no time! The whole staff has been super helpful any time I need assistance. I love shopping at my local Home Depot 😊
