Really bad experience with Office Depot and store #617, ordered on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, by noon, the website advertised Most orders by 2 pm are ready same day by 6 pm well nothing Tuesday, Wednesday afternoon I call Malcolm mentioned he will update me: never happen. Thursday afternoon still nothing. Talk to Ethan the store Manager around 5 pm, he said will be ready by 6, I told him I will be expecting a confirmation, still nothing. Friday called by 9 am the lady was very nice and said my order was ready. At that point I asked for a refund, Ethan the Manager said no. I get home and check the manuscript, pages are mixed up in different chapters, really frustrated.False advertising and the nice lady on the phone mention that they were waiting for UPS to deliver thats why toke so long, what? they dont print in-house?? a very sneaky business.Managers need updated training on customer service and how to keep customers aware of order delays or any issues that may arise.I had to re-schedule a meeting for this matter really really bad experience.My order number #181417196-001Thank you, looking forward how to solve the issue.
Shelves were pretty much empty. No assistance from employees. People waited in a long line over 40 minutes just to end up leaving because there was only one cashier while 2 other cashiers were off to the side talking to each other.
Absolute trainwreck of a store and experience. I searched for a poster board online and went because this location supposedly had one in stock. None were on the shelf, the one single helpful employee found a badly damaged one (water damage, dirty, peeling, essentially trash). It rang up for more than advertised online and was not worth purchasing for a 10% damage discount ($1.50). To top it off, masks required per store signage and none of the customers or employees were wearing them or had them on properly.
I feel bamboozled and let down!If I can give this store a negative -10 I will! Stay away from this store I spent over $100 on ink cartridges so when I run out of ink I dont have to run out and go buy it I can just put the ink into my printer! Well, when I open up this brand new package of the ink cartridge to put in my printer it prints out blank or very faint! It because I used it outside of their window Im not able to get a replacement nor a store credit for the bad dried-up ink that they sold me! This lets me know that the products here are bad they sell dried-up ink cartridges! Dont waste your money at the store! I guess the joke on me!

Horrible service, I needed to get a sign in board printed for my sister birthday, hey told me it would be done the next day and it wasn’t done, I came back the next day and it was wrong! I had to take it back in to get it fixed, and they said it will be ready by 12 and it’s 3 which is the time my sister party started and it’s still not done. It’s very slow and the employees don’t help each other out at all.
No one at the printing service desk for at least 10 minutes. One of the printers broke while someone else was using it. This is the absolute worse Office Depot to go to. It’s always a long process going in there to print something. After waiting about 20 minutes for a self service printer that was down to 1, I ended up leaving. Just go to FedEx or elsewhere.
This store should close. Insult to community. Taking up valuable retail space

Super slloooo 1 person does all. Other older folk seem to hide or non existent. 1 guy At the service desk with about 6 registers. He had a new girl but she had to leave. I waited 40 minutes then I had to leave too. Won’t be back.
Theres nothing compares to the bad service and the deterioration of this place. bathroom smells like it hasnt been clean for months the printers they have 3 and 2 of them were broken...do yourself a favor dont go to this place..
Waiting in line more than 30 minutes to get a vaccine card laminated. There were only two folks ahead of me. The problem is that there was only one (very slow) person working behind the counter. I WILL NEVER COME TO THE STORE IN Oak Park, MI. AGAIN...
This store is absolutely dreadful! Always a long wait as the cashier and return desk are one and the same.Always filthy!!!!Went in looking for an office chair and a few other items. It was Sunday and they were NOT BUSY. I asked the sales guy if the chair I wanted could be put together so I could take it out with me at purchase. First he said no it would be tomorrow before we could get to it. Then he said, after I pressed him, or we could do it today but it wouldn’t be ready until six tonight. At which time I asked for a manager.The manager came out with a nasty attitude and Dryly Gave me the same information. I told them both that I would just go somewhere else. Without apology or further comment, they both spent on their heels and left me standing there.Sad to say this store is in a predominantly African-American neighborhood and they were both African-American. I am African-American. So I called out to the white neighborhood which was 15 minutes away. They were so accommodating and told me I could pick my chair up in 30 minutes. Needless to say And unfortunate that I cannot shop in my own neighborhood and have to go out to the white neighborhood to get good service. I wasn’t asking them to put the chair together for free I even offered to pay more than what they were asking to put together for. That was my last visit to the Oak Park store. Farmington Hills gained a customer for life!!!!!
Was helped by a handsome young man, I think his name was Jamall very helpful in helping me find a printer and some avery labels.
Store closes at 8:00 pm and I am in the store at 7 :30 pm and told that laminating services are not available 😑
Thee worse store ever. Went in to buy an external hard drive. Went in and picked it up immediately. Got in line and waited 20 min only for them to tell me it was not in stock but I can purchase a different one for an higher price. I was a little put off but no worries. Go get the other hard drive and give it to the cashier. He calls stock 3 times and they never brought my item out. After being in the store for over 40 min I just walked out. To make matters worse, I called to speak to the mgr. The phone rang continuously the first two times I called. The third time I called someone did answer but placed me on hold for twenty min till I hung up. I will never spend another cent here. Micro center is about to get all my money. And Im calling corporate...

1.I recieved bad assistance and wrong information related to my printing project.2.The lack of help is a SUPER Big issue(Especially when there is a long line and ASSOCIATES and/or mgnrs. are just walking by doing NOTHING except laughing and conversing with each other.3.If the counter is Closed...and only self service is available...then why be behind the counter helping 1 person and when the next person in line comes up you tell them:Self Service Only...???I will NOT be back to Office Depot in Oak Park...Not only did my print project NOT come out correctly...but I spent extra money buying products that I didnt need
If I could give this store a negative star review I would!I had to return items that I had purchased. I received the WORST customer service that I have experienced in a VERY long time. I waited in line, got to the counter, the young lady at the register needed an override to complete my return. The manager or supervisor took a long time to come, he was working at another register within view, by the time he got there the return (9 items) had closed out of the screen. She had to re-enter each item, which took her hitting approximately 5 buttons for each item, ridiculous! The manager walked back to his register while she re-entered my return. When she was ready for the override AGAIN, he was waiting on other customers at his register. I had to walk over and wait in HIS line, while he helped everyone in line in front of me, instead of explaining that I had been waiting and that he just needed to perform an override. He had a bad attitude and acted upset and aggravated that I had gotten into his line. I got into his line because he was in view of the register where I had been, holding up that line, and he was in no rush to come back. The amount of time I calmly waited and the attitude that I received from the manager was totally unacceptable. I will NEVER go back to the Southfield, MI store!
Jason working the print area has poor customer services. His attitude is so nasty that two people left the store after talking to him without purchasing anything.3.18.21The manager in the print to dept came out with a nasty attitude, very rude disposition and uncaring, unhelpful, inconsiderate to someone elses time. I must have waited 20 mins in line, and once I finally made to the checkout for print. I was told the printer do not work. I mentioned well you might want to put a siqn up saying that. His response was next person in line please. This happen on August 3, 2020 10:40amhe need serious customer service training.
Long wait for purchases, store not stocked with basic items. Purchased ink waited 15 minutes worker reported “ we have it in store somewhere, don’t know where it is, been looking in crate. Can’t give you how long it will be to find it could be 3 minutes 5 minutes..,”I walked away, returned items purchased, will never return to this store with non professional employees.

You used to be able to get your own ink, now the employees get it. Whats more, sometimes theyll choose a more expensive one so then youll have to tell them and they go back. The area is blocked off..Im sure for good reason. What a drag. I went in this morning around 8am, it had not been cleaned at all. Trash on the floor. I went to the furniture section, not inviting. Axel really did help me out though. A nice guy.
The staff is extremely friendly. They open registets when there are lines. I had a question about ink cartridges. I asked the associate on the register lif he could page someone. He was waiting on something so he helped me in the meantime. This is a good store. Have never had a bad experience here.
Although, busy in the store. Got finish in good time. Cashiers were efficient and cordial. Back to school rush continues. Appreciated the online ordering.
Went for a late start on school supply shopping. Had pretty much everything I needed. Employees were friendly and helpful. The store was well stocked and staffed.
The representative who helped me was Nate. He was very helpful, even found discounts for me on top of discounts. The atmosphere is really down, makes you wanna hurry and leave. Maybe they should invest in playing music throughout the store while people shop, add some color to the place. I appreciate the extra extent Nate went to make my visit great and make everything I need fit in my budget.
Horrendous customer service.
Its the only store and they are good neighbors for staying. Obviously, they are making money in an area going thru a renewal. What they offered is definitely needed. Im just sorry that UPS moved out of there. Really left a gap.
The employees were helpful and courteous. It wasnt unusual because whenever I go there, everyone is friendly and willing to assist me.
Very poor customer service .New print to order system is not user friendly. Store associates and managers are lacking in customer service skills. They were preoccupied with other duties and reluctant to assist. They acted annoyed and like they didnt care if I received the service or not.
I design the card for my lovely friends I put their names and my feelings then I print it in this office!!!! A very unique and special way to be remarkable!
Ive been using this particular Office Depot for my business needs for a GREAT number of years. The staff/managers r most assistive. They have awesome sales on products, which r extremely helpful, i.e. Post-Its, copy paper, etc. I still am not totally paperless in my line of work; nor do I wish to be, still having old school clients. Sometimes there is a wait, but they seem to be much improved in this department. As always, it is better to frequent these service facilities early in the day, if possible. Parking is more than ample; hrs great.
Maybe its just me... but the store seemed to be lacking life and luster... For those in business or seeking business (school) supplies this (shopping to build or enhance) should be the exciting part!The only person in the store who was excited was my 10 year old son! Who, being allowed to get his on cart and supermarket sweep a few school supplies, rushed frantically up and down a few aisles with glee!Office depot can increase the lighting, encourage staff to smile, and not walk by puzzled looking customers, open more than 1 line at a time, play some upbeat music softly over the store speaker system and make the shopping experience AN experience! Not a ghost town with people visiting! See for yourself!
I had a lot of money in my backpack, but they insisted that I leave it with the cashier, where I couldn’t keep an eye on it while shopping. Women with purses were going in and out, and not being disturbed. I won’t be going back.
Walk in, see no employees, hear loud club music, walk around looking for my Avery labels (no luck), back toward the register, an employee is at the register. I share what Im looking for... including the item #, he indicated that does them no good, he shows me where to find the product which includes on the package compare to Avery # 5326 smh.
Very very very disgusted at this companys way of doing business . 1st off any business that takes your money without supplying you with the product you purchased is strait unprofessional. My younger brother purchased a tablet that the store claimed was not in stock but could order it. 2nd the store clerk made the order, but no tablet showed up in the store or my families address. The refund was made but no check as of today was issued. The corporate office was no help LIES AFTER LIES and from a corporate office that claims to offer someone superb service. I beg to differ. I would not trust any company with double standards.
Regular Office Depot. Good stuff, high prices. The staff is usually pretty standoff-ish. The person ringing up didnt smile or exude any form of pleasantries. Clean and organized store though.
As shopping goes,overhead signage would be nice and, recognition of sister business Office Maxs rewards would be great because covenants drives my purchases. On and offline..

Went there 3 weeks ago and customer service was horrible. I waited in line 20-30 minutes checking out and the cashier complained about being the only one working. The other associates were working the floor like they were supposed to, but had she called for backup, Im sure they would have opened other registers to help relieve.

Not enough help at this location. Had to wait about 10 minutes for a cashier. A number of items out of stock, but the store is willing to order them for you.
Great clearance items just dont try to find an employee to help you. They have just about everything you would need for office and school. A little pricier than most.

Great just remember they price-match to Walmart Target and Best Buy. But yess its so worth it to take 5-10 minutes and Google the prices of Whatever item you are buying and get it cheaper. Good luck!!
So, I locked my key in my car and my phone which would allow me to unlock it with my onstar app. The ladies in-store were so nice and they Google searched OnStars phone number and allowed me to use their phone. Now, that is great service.
It is ridiculous to only have 1 person at the Print Counter when this is the only store for miles. Do Better!

Customer service was poor. Had to stand in line at cashier stand to get info about products on the floor. Later, after going home with the $70 box of ink cartridges for the printer I purchased there, I found I had the wrong cartridges. I purchased the ones I was told went with the printer. In attempting to return them I was told there was a no return policy on opened computer supplies. Was told the policy was posted so I should have known I couldnt make the return. The posted policy was written on the back of the receipt in small print. My complaint that the incorrect purchase was their mistake was not given any consideration, not even by the manager. It was my problem and became my loss.

Came here to pick up a print order, wait in line for ten minutes to get told to go over to the print and copy counter that is closed and they will be over. Been here ten more minutes and still just standing here hoping for help. Horrible Management.

There was barely anyone working in the store to assist customers. I was looking for a desk for my home office and had to go and ask the cashier to send someone over to help me. I shouldve went to Staples instead.

This place is scary at night, if you must go... only go during the day time ! The store itself looks like it is going out of business, very poor inventory, always appears to be 1/3 stocked, the staff are ok (all 3 of them) and there are non lights in the parking lot!!!!

Customer service was professional and polite. Only thing to get your documents shredded a customer has to pay 2.49 thats to high.
Staff do not have any sense of customer care. I just asked the lady to show how to insert staples inside the giant stapler, she said you have to pay $10 as service fee. Things which are available elsewhere is expensive. Like I had to, buy a toner TN 660 for $74 which I had known to be available at Walmart for $68.i just didnt have enough time to go to Walmart.

Convenient location and had some decent items ($) but its still an expensive place. Even brought to their attention that a couple of the low end merchandise sold for less in other places. they acknowledged this with an agreement that they price match, but only if the item was an advertised, documented, (have to bring in a flyer) for them to consider it. i.e. pencil case $1 at every dollar store, Meijers, Ollies, and CVS in town. Theirs: $2. Ok, so definitely select what you buy and price shop elsewhere.

Echoing what other reviews have said about the atmosphere. the lines at copy center are ALWAYS long and its just a tiring atmosphere that makes you glad to leave
I went here to pick up some supplies for our office, pens, copy paper, etc. They had all the supplies I needed, but when I tried to ask for help from one of the older cashiers, she was rude and condescending to me. Like it was an inconvenience to do her job because she was too busy talking to another employee about her weekend. If you are in a must need situation, they will have your supplies to be sure. But the customer service here is abysmal, if you have the time, Google a different location and go there instead.
