This is the second time I went for an oil change at One Toyota. This time is worse than last time in term of waiting time. In both times, I had an appointment with the Service. Both time took more than an hour (this time two hours) before an attendant took a look at my car. The first time, I was told it was right after a long weekend. However, today is Wednesday. To me this is very irresponsible. What is the point of making an appointment, yet needs to wait for so long to get service? I would like to know how your staff make the appointment? Is it for every 5-minute time slot, you book 30 cars? If it permits, I would like to post zero star.
I just bought a 2022 Camry from this dealership and the car is simply awesome. I have been having a great driving experience and I 100% recommend the car and this dealership. The car buying experience was very streamlined and they provide the best prices among all the dealerships I searched in the Bay Area. A special thanks to Dona who helped me all the way from selecting the car specifications to financing options for finalizing the purchase. She was super helpful in providing me great rates, appropriate discounts and a good overview of the car features/specifications. All in all, it was a very stress free experience.
Worst dealership, didn’t check my tire air to make sure its aligned with manufacturer, didn’t top up fluids… they lost my business, scam dealership, i should have taking it to my mechanic. Be aware all they need is to scam you with services you don’t need.
I dont recommend.I visited this dealership a lot in past 3 years, I learned that to sell you a car they will give you first class service... The service department is a whole new story. At times they are rude, the service takes for ever and they have zero regard for the customer. Specially for the car under the free maintenance.
They are always so busy and 45 minute repair took 3 hours and still we need another part that is not in stock. Shuttle service is only for jobs that are supposed to take more than 2 hours but dont trust the estimates. Excellent waiting room with CNN TV (not my favorite channel ) and free coffee or chocolate. Just across the street is in and out Burger.
I was disappointed by my experience with this dealership. Ali called me and told me they were interested in buying my car based on my detailed listing on Craigslist. I told him that before I drove to Oakland from Cupertino I wanted to be sure he understood the condition of the car and was comfortable with the price, which I set based on a fair and objective evaluation of the condition and using the Kelly Blue Book published mid-range. He told me he had read the ad, had no questions, and agreed to my price contingent on there being no frame damage, which they would inspect on my arrival. So I drove 1.5 hours in traffic to their location and when I arrived he asked questions like what size the battery was, how far the range was, and what the price was. These details are very clearly stated in the ad -- the range is in the headline of the ad -- and we had already agreed to the price on the phone, so it was immediately clear I had been lied to on the phone. At that point I should have taken my key back and left, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and let them inspect the car. After waiting nearly an hour he told me they liked the car but the Kelly Blue Book value has suddenly changed and he told me the best he could do was $6k less than the price we had already agreed to on the phone just two hours prior. Clearly, Ali and One Toyota of Oakland are practiced experts at bait and switch and used this dishonest technique in an attempt to get me to sell my car far below its fair market value. It left me with a sick feeling, and I would suggest you stay away from the dealership at all costs.

Not only we paid a great price but we also got top dollar for our trade in. Also a very efficient in and out experience at the dealership, just under 1 hour. Better than your average dealer. Rides provided for service customers with Lyft. They attempt to take care of ones needs honestly - Ive not suffered from obnoxious upselling or fishy maintenace experiences. Can be very busy, so sometimes one needs patience.

Please be wary of the dealings with the people behind the services provided during the 5k/10k intervals and take pictures of your car when your taking it in for service they will make damages and not take responsibility.Please read the rest for full disclosure.Being that the previous reviews highlight the lack of customer care and service upscales, I still arrived with an appointment ready to spend and to my surprise so did everyone else on a Saturday morning.I exited my car to see the service agent with a history of service history reports in my hand and thought I was there for an oil change as I did 5k miles ago but to my surprise she only wanted to rotate the tires and so I agreed to pay 29.99 for a tire rotation a typical 5k service. Forgive me for not remembering how often I should change my oil or rotate my tires, sheesh that’s why I’m there so I don’t have to remember. After being guaranteed a two hour service by another service agent who just show happened to share the office with the one who perceived my questions about service as disrespect or maybe it was because she didn’t get to read me the service script. I don’t know for sure what her issue with me was but certainly after the tire rotation my cars alignment was off and my car immediately pulled to the right not even before I can pull out of the driveway after my so called service was completed. I later immediately stormed back into office and demanded an explanation. Though I am no car expert, I know when my chain is being yanked. Originally, it was explained that the PSI level in the tires determined the pulling behavior which later changed accurately to the trim on the tires after I pulled out my camera and started recording. That same Service Manager decided that he would reimburse me for the tire rotation being he would have to redo the job or I would have pay $190 diagnostic to find why the car was pulling.Yes people, the service manager or rather the model provided a service only to reimburse me for that service and attempt to charge me $190 after that service essentially failed and backfired. Who knew I could pay for a tire rotation only to be reimbursed and offered a diagnostic for damage done while in service. I didn’t arrive with a pull to the right nor was my rim cracked or front bumper scratched . Not only did they lose a customer but now I have a cracked rim, front bumper damage, and possibly alignment problems.After I called in about the damage, the Service Manager seemed like he actually cared however I strongly encourage that you don’t let this model rip you off it’s no longer a quality service. Stay away from this place if you value your money or want to treated with respect and dignity. It may take time to find another place but it will be worth it especially if you don’t have to go here again. It may seem like all my problems are due to the integral gang of thieves as mentioned by a previous reviewer however in my opinion, it is the Toyota Business model that is pushing these people to push services and careless for there customers hard earned money and loyalty. I’m still waiting to hear back from the team about the damage however needed to get this out before it happens to someone else.
I first off traded in my car in July of 2020 for a pre owned 2018 Rav4 XLE. (My mistake!) Ana Gomez was the sales representative who assisted me in this transaction…. I was only given 1 key and had to wait to receive my spare, about a month later. The spare key that was provided was an after market key they use from a vendor, why? I’m not so sure. Because I used this key as my main, it caused a system glitch where I would later be unable to lock/unlock my car using my key and had to manually do the job… What a hassle. I would then spend the next 3-4 months back and forth to this dealership just so the service department can lallygag with my car instead of really doing their job. Carlos was the service advisor on my case which exemplified unprofessional service skills. The flirtatious comments and uncomfortable prolonged meetings I had to go through just to be finally taken seriously after filing a claim with the dispute center for automotive sales.NOW, September 2021… Ana Gomez (sales rep) reaches out to do an appraisal so i can receive a quote. WHY? Why would I have a sales rep reach out to not even do their job????? I would text to receive updates where Gomez would divert the answer to her manager is working on the appraisal… Never ever heard back from her. Like what was the point on reaching out, if you were never going to fall through with your assignment? What a joke.
I recently bought a Toyota Sienna 2021 one and I love it. It was hard to find one since every dealer I checked only had 1 or none. Some dealers were selling it more expensive.I love the service I got at this dealer. They didnt have the van, but I was able to reserve it with $500 while it was in transit, and have the option to change my mind and get my money back. The sales person who helped me was Ladd, he kept in touch during all the process. I would recomend this place.

Made an appointment to get an oil change. Dropped the truck off at 7am, called at 10am for a status and they told me Id get a call back with an update. Two hours later I still hadnt received a call back. Called again and was told Id get a call back because they STILL didnt have a status. Let me remind you that this is for an OIL CHANGE. Roughly 30min later I FINALLY got a call back only to be told that itll take another hour and a half!Listen I understand if youre short staffed or if an emergency service had to take place but at the very LEAST communicate the expectations to your customers. Had I known that I wouldnt get my truck back for 8 HOURS I wouldnt have wasted my time.
I went to the dealership to get my catalyst converter install on my SUV. And so the tech did the diagnostic test for my SUV and the tech say I need alot done. So I got everything done and cost me 3100$. And guess what everything was good. Two weeks in my engine light came on and my tires light came on. So I thought they got everything done so why is my SUV light on. So took it back and they say now is something else. And I had to pay 1300$. What a rip off. Or they dont know how to do their job over there. Learn how to do your job right and stop ripping people off. This should be a no ⭐!!!!.

Took 4 hours to get my vehicle serviced, supposed to have been 1 hour appt. I understand it gets busy, but if that’s the case you should let us know so we can plan accordingly. Huge waste of time. Not to mention waiting for the car to be brought around for over 30 minutes.

Tried to tell me I didnt have a warranty and tried to charge me for services that are covered. I left them a message about it and havent heard anything from my complaint. Tacky and fraudulent company.On the flip side Chase is a great worker there.

If I could give a 1.5 star I would, just because check in was quick and my service advisor was super patience with me and my hyperactive toddler.I went just for an oil change, but they said I needed much more. I stuck with an brake and transmission fluid. All took almost 5 hours to fix. And they will NOT update you about your car, even if you call to ask.I showed my service advisor my free oil change card from toyota. HE DIDNT EVEN LOOK and said he can check it on the system, which he didnt either because I was still charged for it. He told me that my discount was either for a wheel alignment or an oil change. I have never heard about that, and only gave me a $5 discount.He even forgot to give me my keys, so I asked a lady with blue hair to call him on her walkie talkie. She said okay, and just walked away. Never came back.I called and called a few days later because I knew something wasnt right with my invoice. 3 days later, no call backs. I kept calling and finally got a hold of him. He kept telling me that he didnt charge me my oil change, but I did the math. After arguing back and forth, he admitted he didnt go through my care package list for my car. He promised to send a check for a refund. Lets see how long that will take.Dont let this place rip you off! And double check your invoice if youre paying for what youre supposed to pay.SAVE YOUR TIME, ENERGY AND MONEY. Big scam.
I like toyota as its a reliable car if they made a solar car deal with it would be a wrap! There warranty needs conditioning and there paint is not the best. I waited a long time for services but I love my toyota.
I have only used One Toyota for car maintenance, not the purchase or lease of a new car. The company does a good of servicing cars and turning them around in the same day. I like that they provide text message updates on the status of the work. You can rent a car free of charge for 24 hours while your car is being serviced. Also offer free service by Lyft.

I had been coming to One Toyota of Oakland for service because its close to work and I could drop my car, get a complimentary lyft ride back to work and to them again when they finished the service. The last 2 services though have been questionable, the last one today. See below.Today I needed the 35K service. Tire rotation only I was told by Jason. How long does it take. Answer: 2 hours. OK, can I get a lyft then ? No, we dont do that anymore for basic services. So either wait 2 hours there during my work hours or... no solution provided, so I left without the service done. They didnt care at all and they didnt even had the decency to remove their papers and stuff from inside my car.Oh, by the way, we already claimed your service to your pre-paid maintenance, so you need to come here to get it done.Yes, they took the money BEFORE I was told all the inconveniences of their service and anything was done in the car.I am never coming back to this place and I am planning on escalating this issue.

One of the Toyota cars is an integrated gang of thieves, whether it is selling, buying or servicing cars. Today I took my car to work with. Service is at 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. They told me your car is not ready, come back tomorrow. This is not good. I was late for work and they told me that you cannot attend today. We will deduct your salary at that time they can tell me that we cannot continue serving you in order for the place to be full. Come back tomorrow but they left me for five hours. Advice from me, dont go to one Toyota car, go to another branch. This branch does not respect the customer and treats him with immorality. When you ask a senior official to file a complaint, you will not be able to reach him. They all say they are responsible for trying to fool you
While visiting my family in Oakland, someone took my catalytic converter, damaged gaskets, broke the oxygen sensor and cut the heat shield. When I got into my car and saw the check engine light come on and heard the noise, I couldnt imagine what happened. My son called Toyota One and spoke with Chase. He took care of everything promptly. He worked with my insurance company and had the car ready the next day. He was kind, professional and courteous...if I lived in Oakland, this would be my dealer of choice. Thank you Chase.
Customer service is great, very friendly and when I leave Im very satisfied with their work. My past experiences with other Toyota dealers, they were rude or seem like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Go to Oakland and feel at home.
We came to see and test drive a used car. The carfax indicated no accidents. But the vehicle clearly had been in one—damage repair wasplainly visible. Carfax only shows “reported” accidents but the dealer must have known about the issue and should have noted it so we didn’t waste our time. Give me a break.
Schedule for a test drive. Quick response, Ricardo was the person that arrange the test drive and after that he even break down the financing options. No pressure at all and upfront honest. Look for Ricardo if you are looking for a toyota.

Great customer service. Made the car buying experience a breeze. In and out of the showroom including the test drive in less than an hour because of all wonderful communications and no extra sales gimmicks. They got exactly what was asked and didnt try to hide anything in the sale.
The dealer its self is fine no problem with that or service i have a huge problem how customers radios all of a sudden are going down for no reason and wont make a recall for that like wth now its our problem because you have a manufacturer defect extremely dissatisfied with the company it self and oh it 190 dollars just for them to try to check the radio not fix it just check it toyota you need to put a recall on this type of problem that many of us are having with the cars radio/navigation just going blank

Excellent Service Experience!!I bought my new Toyota Tacoma at a different dealership but later found out that its reviews for service were not what I expected. I then decided to research for a Toyota dealership with higher services reviews and based on what I found on different internet sites I decided to give One Toyota of Oakland a try. The experience I had with One Toyota of Oakland was possibly one of the best I have had. From the first moment when I pulled in into the dealership was got my first welcoming greeting from Mr Ron (ever happy with a great smile and attitude) who without delay called for a service associate to be ready for me. As I parked my car in the service area I was met by the Express Drive Service Advisor Mr Jacky Luo who had pretty much the same enthusiastic and welcoming attitude I got from Mr Ron. Check in process was fast but comprehensive about what was going to be done to my vehicle. I was given circa one hour to get the service completed and so I went around and about the dealership. To my surprise I was greeted by 9 out of every 10 employee I encountered. Best ever experience. At about the one hour mark I got a call from Mr Jachy stating the service was done and my vehicle ready to go. Check out was also without any problems with Mr Jachy Luo explaining all performed work in detail and scheduling my next visit. 5⭐
Terrible sales guy... Didnt encourage me to test drive anything!!! I was ready to spend $20 -$30K but he didnt even tell me his name, or as for mine!!! Im in my 60s & overweight, I got the feeling he preferred helping young fit people, maybe even Asians like himself. Anyway, I was extremely disappointed!!!!
I brought my truck to One Toyota of Oakland for a tune up and oil change only because I had over 120k miles. Prior to One Toyota the truck ran great. After I picked up my truck there was a noticeable loss in power, hesitation while driving and oil leaking around the engine cylinder head. It took about 5 weeks, 3 appointments and a visit from my insurance company for them to figure out they crack 3 spark plug coils and damaged the head gasket. The service manager told me that even though they damaged the coils and gaskets I would have to pay for them to be repaired.There were no concessions made to me for the inconvenience of the return trips to the service department. No compensation for the loss time or loaner vehicle. Just “here are your keys” when the repairs were finally completed. I had to wait pass closing because it was not ready when promised and it was the Friday before a holiday weekend.When my son wanted a new truck we went to another dealership to get his truck. I will never ever go to this dealership again. If you want someone who knows how to repair your vehicle go somewhere else.

Be careful of their service department they will Tune up your bill for not needed adjustments. I just looked at what a 60k service should cost per Toyota and they are charging me 5x that for things that should have been done earlier and not needed.
We had an AMAZING experience buying a Toyota Rav4 Hybrid with the very professional Sales Associate Francisco Portillo. I orignally tried to purchase a Rav4 Hybrid in the South Bay, and it was nothing except frustrating and confusing. I went up to OneToyota (the no games playing, Square Deal Dealership), in order to get the Hybrid Sport version of the Rav4. Francisco was very transparent with me and said that he thought it was highly unlikely that I would get that version anytime in the next few months, and I should consider some other version. He looked up to 500 miles away, all the way up to Oregon, and could not find one.Three days later, Francisco calls us and says, if you can get here fast, I have the exact car you said you wanted. Well, we got there fast and purchased the car we wanted. There were three other people who wanted the same car, but somehow we were lucking and not super busy that day.Francisco Portillo is so Professional and Technologically Savvy in his approach, along with being incredibly hardworking for his people! If you are considering a Toyota Purchase AND you live anywhere in the Bay Area, you SHOULD go talk to OneToyota in Oakland. They are AMAZING.In two of the photos below, you can see the computer screens where Francisco essentially searched the entire Western Region for our car.
First time bringing my car to be serviced here and could not be more pleased . They went above and beyond with an issue I had with a cell phone stuck inside the console after it dropped between seat ! Long story but this service department is excellent . Highly recommend .

The sales rep A.T. wasted my time having me drive 45 minutes promising me that they can do a car delivery at a certain price but when I got there they increased the price by $1000. Him and his sales manager acknowledged he over promised and still wouldn’t honor the price given. If they were up front on that cost I would have paid but don’t do business with people who lie and waste my time. Don’t do business with people who say anything to come to the store especially during Covid. They have no concept of sales and building trust/relationships with a customer. Do NOT waste your time with this Toyota

We went in for a service for our car during CoVID. Dropped it off Im the morning, and was told to pick it up that afternoon. The service diagnostic ended up being more than expected, which honestly I figured going into this. However my big concern is the way they handled things during covid times.As I was picking up the car the gentleman bringing it to me was NOT wearing a mask in my personal vehicle. When I mentioned it he just shrugged and sprayed the car a second time. I told him I didnt feel comfortable driving it. He told me that if I left the car there they would charge me a nightly rate for storage: so incredibly shocking. I messaged the man who I was working with and told him the situation and he said that his manager would call me the next day. Needless to say no one has called me. I ended up parking the car on the street, which is not the best neighborhood, and driving it home after 24 hrs.DO NOT GO DURING COVID TIMES

I recently bought a preowned 2019 Toyota Highlander. When everything got signed off on the contract with a set monthly payment including a vehicle service agreement( VSA,extended warranted) now I was told that the agent made a mistake in VSA so essentially I have to pay more to keep the extended warranty or else my monthly payment would go up OR I DONT HAVE ANY EXTENDED WARRANTY.I spoke to the agent and manager and they worked with me in a professional manner. They admitted to the mistake and provided a solution. I still have my extended warranty and my monthly payment is the same. Anyone can make a mistake but if businesses take responsibility for their actions, that is good customer service.

I went to buy a replacement battery for a car fob. They replaced it for a reasonable $10. While I was there I asked about the low tire pressure light on my dash. They checked my tires, discovered it was the spare that was low, filled it, all for free. Thank you Toyota One!

After months of my own indecisiveness, I finally bought a new 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport from Nicole Lien on April 10th. This lady is absolutely fantastic! She is knowledgeable, and will work HARD to get you the vehicle you want. That is what she did for me. I wanted a vehicle that was just hard to get, but she managed to get me what I wanted, and in record time! She knows what she is talking about, and is just a pure joy to work with! We had the pleasure of working with Chris Lockwood. He has such a warm personality, all with a smile and so helpful. I went at 11 in the morning with my 3 year old daughter to check out a 2018 RAV4 XLE. We met up again at 6:30pm with my husband and older son to workout the number from all the models considered and sign all the paper. We finished after two hours and drove away home with our new car. Chris was so sweet with the kids too!I highly recommended working with him but also One Toyota Service department is pretty staff and service is pretty awesome, hands down!

Update: 9/24 I am updating my review and giving this dealer and Sammy the lowest rating possible. When we left, they did not give us specific things that should have been included with the car. We texted back and forth with Sammy who kept telling us they were going to take care of it and he would let us know. Weeks went by and we sent a reminder, said he was still working on it. Now, over a month, my husband was told by Sammy to contact the dealer to help him out as he is on vacation. When contacting the dealer, come to find out Sammy is no longer working there and has not been there for a while. He failed to tell us this so we werent wasting our time waiting.Now we have to drive back to Oakland (we live in San Jose) to program the new key and pickup all our other stuff that was missing. They made it seem like theyre doing us a favor with all this when it was a dealer issue from the beginning, not the customer. We are really upset about this when Sammy could have been honest about not working there instead of giving us the runaround. Unfortunately, I will not be recommending this place or Sammy.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We were in the market for a bigger car, to trade in our Dodge Avenger. I recently leased a car from Coliseum Lexus and asked the person who helped me there if he knew of anyone at a Toyota Dealer. We ended up with Sammy and I cannot say enough about this guy.Very down to earth, straight up and honest about everything and helpful in every way from start to finish. We walked out with a Rav 4 and completely happy with it. If you are in the market for a new Toyota, contact Sammy.
Entire staff is super friendly. I would say Chase in particular was THE BEST. I dont ever take the time to write reviews but I hope his manager sees this and gives him a raise. They were sweet even though I brought them a stinky dog car (I am a dog walker) that is ancient. Thanks again Chase!
Busiest car dealership I have ever seen
Buying a new automobile at One Toyota of Oakland was a very easy, smooth and pleasant (yes, pleasant) process. They have a sizable inventory for a buyer to peruse. I knew what I wanted and the sales manager I worked with (Francisco) showed me a number of vehicles that met my criteria. He showed me the vehicle that I had my eye on and explained everything that I needed to know about the car, its price and its accessories & operation. I took the car for a test drive and decided right then that I wanted that car. We went back to the showroom and started the process. From the time I parked my old vehicle in the customer lot until I drove the new one off the lot was less than two hours. Francisco handled everything and he was very friendly and professional. He knew what he was doing which made the process extremely smooth. I couldnt be happier with the entire transaction and needless to say I am very happy with my new car.
Customer service is very poor
This review is based on the service I received in the parts department.I stopped by today to purchase some washers for my front + rear differential and oil drain plug. I was the only person in line and it took over 5 minutes to get helped even though there were two parts specialists working. On top of that I asked for differential oil and was brought transfer case oil insyead, also only got a set of washers for the front differential and not the rear differential. I feel like who ever helped me could be more knowledgeable and pay more attention to detail + offer better costumer service. Would have rated 2 stars but Im giving 3 stars because after I got my parts I went to ask a few questions to a Service adviser ( Chase Daubeneck ) and he was very helpful with his information.
The person who greeted me was nice and pleasant. The service advisor was also helpful. Will see when I pick it up ??? Haha
I went into One Toyota of Oakland for three different recalls for my Scion. I called and set up an appointment and when I arrived Bob The customer service rep was there to guide me through the process! Bob was great! He was efficient, and efficient. The three recalls would take more than one day so he got me a rental car so I could have something to drive while my car was being repaired. They called within 36 hours and everything was completed as noted! It was a great experience and Bob was very helpful!
