Thanks for the delicious breakfast! The foods, coffee, and sandwich that I ordered were truly worth it and excellent. Also, the staff working was very accommodating, informative, and helpful. This place is open early and is right across the Fairyland playground. It attracts the locals like the scent of coffee to remote worker bees — and their well behaved pets as long as you stay six feet apart according to one dog who barked when my fellow human stepped too close for comfort. (How’s that for dog etiquette? This bistro should give this dog a job.) And did I mention the coffee selection is excellent as well? Let’s help support the local economy.

We got two iced drinks, a lavender latte and a dirty chai. Both were lovely. The prominence of the fresh ginger in the chai was excellent. We were also really pleased to see them carrying Third Culture bakery (mochi muffins and donuts).Their standard latte options are good but not my favorite in the area.

So good ! I got a iced vanilla latte w/soy and a iced lavender latte w/soy and it’s delicious. Highly recommend

Excellent little coffee station! The quality is great, yet the prices are better than most coffee shops. The staff is not only super friendly, but also very knowledgeable about the coffee, espresso, and foods that they serve. They are happy to talk about it if you have any questions or ask for suggestions. Love this addition to the neighborhood!

I had the lavender latte and it had the perfect amount of fragrance without being overpowering. They also had a great looking menu. Plenty of covid-friendly seating available too

This is our neighborhood coffee shop, and its great. You can order breakfast to go from the restaurant theyre a part of, or eat at one of the the outside tables. They carry pastries, and quite a few gluten free ones. The reason for only giving 4 stars is that I used to only get their chai latte, which they make themselves and has previously been great always, but the last few times Ive gotten them theyve been very bitter and weird tasting.

Friendly and low key coffee place for take out. Cappuccino is definitely one of the best in the area. They also have a yummy selection of pastries from Firebrand.

I waited until I had been here several times before reviewing and now that I can now say this really is five star-worthy. I know a whole lot of individuals adore their lavender latte however their ROSE latte is my shake. The increased water that they use is yummy and gives the coffee a pure flavoring, no increased syrupy (is that a word?) Artificial flavorings here.

The breakfast sandwich was out of this world, perfect amount of cream in my coffee, great special on fresh beet juice! Their food is really good and would highly suggest this place, they deserve to stick around Oakland!

Its not so bad but someone else also goes there, Starbucks is better.

Love that this little shop opened just down the block--super convenient! Their lavender latte is to die for, and the staff is super friendly. Nice tables outside for sitting and socializing or people watching (no indoor seating).

Love having a 1888 outlet in the neighborhood. Their coffee is delicious. The stand is a walk-up only place with no seating. Sweet and savory pastries from Firebrand Bakery. Could use some extra staff though because it can be a little slow, but Ill definitely be a regular.

High quality coffee and pastries, convenient and beautiful location, friendly staff, and they are a supporter of local artists. Sundays are my favorite days to go because they sometimes have an artist working out in front of the shop and inside Bacheesos, they have live music. Great place for locals to get a sense of their neighborhood community.

We ordered a lavender latte and their signature drop with honey. Both of our drinks were very well made and delicious! And it cost us about $7 in total!

OMG I had lots of coffee before and this place is the best I ever had. The staff are awesome and very friendly. You can enjoy your coffee with the view of the lake or take it to go and walk the lake. I recommend this place for everyone.

1888 Coffee Station is a locally owned and operated walk-up cafe adjacent to Bacheesos. April 2, 2017 is their grand opening and it also happens to coincide with Oakland Running Festival. This place is strictly a walk-up and order to-go perfect for those short on time. The workers are friendly and quick to get you going with no fuss. Even samples of their brew of day are given without asking. Is that top notch CS or what? The beans are grown from their own plantation in Veracruz Mexico. Artisan pastries are from Firebrand (local bakery). Besides coffee they also have loose Persian and Arabic tea. I fell in love with their beans the moment I took a sip of my mint latte. And heres why? They dont used any artificial flavored syrup. My mint latte came with freshly chopped mint leaves that adds a (HELLO Albie) to my morning. Fantastic place to grab a drink and bite while youre out and about.

The quality of their coffee is great and I love the people who work there. Even better, the owners put a lot of support into local fine artists by sponsoring them to paint and draw in front of the coffee shop every Saturday.
