Love this place! The drinks and sandwiches are always perfection. Their homemade chai and horchata lattes are the best I’ve had in the East bay!

Very quaint shop. I was walking back to work (Childrens Hospital Oakland) and decided to get some chilled Iced coffee. I saw they had some foods and I opted for the veggie bean burger. I also got a blueberry ginger lemonade made in house.They use ACME bread, but its press toasted and it was GOOD!!!!The chai iced coffee was good, not overwhelmingly sweet.The juice was really good too!Prices are fair.Veggie burger - $9Chai - $5Juice - $4Good customer service and was fast to get things done.

When I travel, I prefer to stay away from corporate coffee places like Starbuck and Peets. Having come to this grimy little place, I believe I would have been better off if I had. Also, no WIFI.

Great local cafe, and the quality of the food and drinks is consistently high. For those not looking for a coffee fix, I highly recommend the chai or herbal iced tea, both house-made concoctions that are unique and delicious! Cant wait for COVID to be over so we can actually hang out here as it seems like a very chill and cozy spot.

I love this place! Discovered it while my folks were visiting town, and took em here. Super friendly staff, good bagels, and strong delicious coffee. My parents were happy with it. The guy even knows my order! And of course, having BART swing by right outside gives this coffee spot a classic Oakland feel

Sandwiches to go are great.

By far the best breakfast burrito Ive ever had! Fresh spinach, amazing bacon jam, and a variety of hot sauces. I literally drive over from San Francisco just for this burrito, and the excellent people that make the magic happen. This coffee shop feels like home to me.

The best little coffee house in town. Homey and comfortable environment. The proprietor and the folks who work there are friendly and treat people like beloved neighbors. Their coffee is good and hearty. Their sandwiches are as nature intended: Delicious. Ive never had a bad experience there, and Ive been going there several times a week for two years. Definitely a local favorite.

Just had the spicy tuna salad sandwich and it was terrific. Beautiful homemade rye bread, and the sriracha packs so much flavor. Visiting from Seattle and really enjoyed the warm and friendly service and terrific food. Thank you!

Found place via Google search and it was one of the highest rated coffee shops in the area. Unfortunately, our experience was not the norm.The staff was rude when we didnt order our items word-for-word what was listed on the menu. The coffee we ordered did not taste good and it was way too hot to drink.

Good neighbourhood coffee shop with simple eats (bagel sandwiches, &c). Diverse customer base. Good seating & ample work space. Music tends toward 80s New Wave & pop, but sometimes ventures into other genres.

This is nothing earthly about this place. Imagine walking in early Saturday morning to get a breakfast burrito and Americano. Only to be welcomed by extremely rude staff that will talk over you and hand you poorly made burrito with coffee cup that has coffee spilled over. There are other coffee shops that will be happy to get your morning coffee without messing up your weekend vibes, Dont waste your hard earned money at this place.

Good food and coffee at reasonable prices from friendly people. Hard to get much better than that! Great spot to stop to fuel up before or after bike rides.Also they make their own juice mixes which are absolutely delicious.

Visited on July 2019 and not coming back here. Not really all that welcoming and too noisy because of the BART train blaring nearbyI got interrupted on the phone and this is No outside food allowed ....

This place was exactly what I wanted on my way into work in the morning they made me a super yummy mocha, not too sweet but nice and Rich with a great coffee and chocolate taste. And it took all of about 4 minutes from start to finish. I highly recommend them!

Awesome coffee, tea and sandwich shop with friends owners and staff. Im allergic to wheat and they took care of me with a gluten free bagel. They also have nice seating outside the front which gets nice mid afternoon sunlight.

Nice vibe. Great customer service with eye contact and a smile. Even asked if Id like an extra shot that had already been pulled.

Pros: fills a need for coffee in the neighborhood. Nice size. Decent prices. Decent natural light. Clientele was laid back. Strong wi-fi.Cons: food was sub-par and mine was half cold. Could be a little cleaner and cheaper based on what youre getting.

Been wanting to stop and check this place out for years and finally did so! Their fare matches their tagline: strong coffee and good food. Had the roast beef with aged cheddar on a baguette with horse radish and red onion. Man did it have bite! So I bit it back. Looking forward to my next visit.

Lovingly known as Strong Coffee Good Food at our house due to the sign out front, this place is as advertised.Good value on their menu and a welcoming atmosphere makes this place a true local joint that is one of the neighborhoods best.

Came in ten minutes early and they still served me! Guy was so nice and they have an amazing an amazing caramel cafe latte ! The balcony area is relaxing if you can get over the traffic just outside the bushes! Also parking

Coffee here is good and strong. Staff is very friendly and outgoing. And best of all, parking on the street is free! Yes, this is Oakland.
