Saved my PC! Tony is a genius problem solver. I did a custom PC build in April and was experiencing crashes whenever I ran a specific 3D software. I had taken my computer to 3 other repair people who all told me I needed to replace parts and when I did that and it still was crashing, I was frustrated and stumped. Thankfully my girlfriend, (feeling sorry for my months of crashes) looked online and found YY Computers.Tony treated the computer as if it were his own and was able to create the right circumstances to identify the mysterious crash. He swapped out parts and confirmed what I needed. I ordered a new motherboard and he installed it and setup Windows for me. Im so grateful. My PC has been working smooth since. Tony was able to pull pics from my 2 old computers (one computer was 18 yrs old) with a quick turn around, great communication, and reasonable prices. Absolutely the best computer shop I have ever been in. I was looking for thermal paste (unfortunately they dont sell it) to see if I good fix an issue I was having with thermal control on my self built computer. After a short chatting with one of the staff, they helped me think of a few things I had overlooked. To give prospective, I have been building computers for myself for a long time (+15 years) but we all forget a thing or two as time goes on. I tested out the few solutions we had come up with, and it fixed my problem. Absolutely the best.

This type of store allows you to fight back because Hewlett Packard and HTC design products to have certain weaknesses so you have to buy them again this type of store allows you to buy spare parts from China and rebuild your device for 100 or $200 for this 1000 even if you have the money you dont like feel like ripped off at least I dont I know a lot of billionaires that dont like to feel that way!

I have worked with YY previously while moonlighting for Easy Mac Support, a tech support service in the East Bay. I brought my laptop to them to have the display sorted out because they were available before my appointment with ComputerLand of Berekely who is an Authorized Apple Repair facility and was set up for me by Apple.When I arrived the shop owner took a look at it and then alerted me to a recall issued by Apple for this exact thing. He recommended I save my appiontment with ComputerLand as they would be able to fix it completely free. This didnt turn out to be the case (because ComputerLand refused to honor the recall) however, after an over-the-phone diagnosis with Apple (for a second time) I shipped the laptop out and it was indeed a recall issue for which I had to pay nothing.Thanks YY for not taking my money unneccesrily!

When a Microsoft Windows 10 update left my PC unbootable, Y Y Computer came to my rescue. The staff is extremely competent, and they quickly got my system back in operation, and saved my data. They provide complete online tracking of their work, and are glad to answer technical questions beyond the specific problem you have. They are in a modest storefront in downtown Oakland at Jackson and 10th Streets. Surprisingly easy street parking.
