I was looking for local postcards and came here. I was able to get plenty of local postcards in addition to a few other types. They have many types of cards, plus a lot of cool books, pins, and earrings. You can find gifts for kids and adults alike.

Used to be a fantastic place. Yes, some things were pricey, but not everything, and they had a fairly wide inventory for a stationery/gift shop. Cute stuff, lots of stamping stuff for children & teens, fabulous gift paper, ribbon, great gift items, wide variety of greeting cards, etc. In the last two years the place has becoming increasingly unrecognizable. But never before has it been a *political* campaign store. Appalling. Life-size cardboard likenesses of only ultra-liberal, Democratic party figures, everywhere. Cant even shop in the Bay Area now without people shoving politics in your face. Its partisan and has become increasingly expensive for the privilege of identifying with the ultra-left. Never again will I shop there. Am not funding political campaigns of any kind! What a rip-off.

Great place to go if youre looking to buy a gift for someone. They have some random stuff but a little bit of something for everyone. They also have a big selection of Oaklandish shirts and other Bay Area gear.

A big, hip gift card and gift wrap store, with some other eclectic products. The stuff here is pricey, and I didnt find everything I was looking for (plus didnt get much in the way of assistance while we were there).

Greetings is the best! Great local shop for unique gifts and even local items for yourself.

If you EVER need a gift, stop in here. This place is insanely well curated, with everything from great Oakland t-shirts to Michelle Obama tote bags to lip gloss and lotion. In one visit I bought my mom some Frida Kahlo socks, my best friend a Mexican Folk Art Raiders onesie for her baby (no joke) and myself an ipod holder (supposed to be a coin purse, but its a perfect fit). The clerks are very sweet and will do beautiful gift wrapping if you need it. One of my favorite stores on Piedmont Avenue.
