The food mill is amazing. You can find ingredients you cant find in the supermarkets, or you can purchase small amounts of spices just what you want. Great store.

Very good products and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Senior discounts, student discounts, military discounts ...a good place to find healthy foods, supplements, and dry goods too. Easy parking too .

Excellent source of very fresh dried herbs. Youll have to double plastic bag them. Also lots of supplements, cheeses, snacks, and the best ginger cookies.

I love going to the Food Mill. They are very Covid safe and only let a small amount of people in at once. They have gloves for you to wear, and sanitizer, too.. It reminds me of my favorite co-op in Ukiah. There are lots of grains, nuts, and seeds in bulk. They also have organic vegetables and fruits that are in season. Can you believe they also bake their own cookies and sell them at a reasonable price. They also have a section with books on health - - like an old fashion health food store.At the Food Mill, Covid has made it so they are short on a lot of ingredients. I went there specifically to get herbs to make homemade root beer. Two of the ingredients I needed, werent available. I talked with the owner and he said that Covid has hit a lot of their distributors very hard, and so they are out of certain items.

Still has the best bulk stuff anywhere. I didnt get to shop any other parts of the store because theyve closed their bathroom and I had to leave quickly.

I loved my Black Seed oil the Food Mill is like a box store warehouse with a more comfortable way to shop. The next day I bathed my feet in the topical Black Seed Oil and sipped my one teaspoon of the internal Black seed oil. The Food mill has met my needs better than Amazon. You see, getting in my car and driving to the Food mill is the experience. Looking at the Food mill, walking through the store, and talking will fill you emotionally. That is how I experience the Food mill in Oakland, Ca.

This grocery store really has it all, and Im impressed that their staff is extra supportive and very polite. Also, the environment here is absolutely incredible, and all I wanted was available. In reality, the best place to get your grocery needs! Its highly recommended!

I always like to shop for quality items there. I love the leisurely pace and comfortable setting outside to enjoy good coffee and unwind.

My mom has been bringing me here since I was younger. They have a lot of different options and brands. The people that work there are really polite, friendly, and helpful.

This is one of those places that was an organic food store before it was cool. They sell bulk herbs, spices, and grains, among many other foods. This place has been going strong for decades and it has a loyal clientele. You cant go wrong here. This place is literally what it says it is.

Most importantly, the staff here is SO NICE. Theyre always really helpful and are just so genuinely nice, I hope they know how appreciated that is. I only come here for the bulk bins of every flour and spice you can imagine. Their price on a lot of organic bulk items is extremely fair.

During this pandemic/shelter-in-place, I really appreciate the simple steps Food Mill has taken to ensure everyones safety. Only allowing 5 customers in at a time, providing up-to-date and clear signage, providing gloves, and overall being friendly and helpful is just what we need during these times. This is partly why I love this store so much!

I am a long time customer and I am usually waited on by Michael. I find that in the past the staff has always been knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I send my co-workers and friends to your store on a regular basis. No one that I know will ever spend money in any other establishment if I have anything to say about it. I am always singing the praises of THE FOOD MILL and Michael.However, I visited the store on April 4, 2017 and I was very disappointed in the service. I asked for Michael and was told he was at lunch. I then proceeded to shop for my usual products. The two sales associates were having a personal conversation that continued while I was asking questions. I had a question about collagen the sales associate came over to the shelf where I was standing and pointed to the product with her foot and told me which product she used. She never stopped her conversation with her co-worker during this interaction with me. I had more shopping to do, but I was so upset by her treatment I decided to just leave. I will still shop here but only with the older sales associates who understand the concept of CUSTOMER SERVICE>

Great place to bulk buy and pick up any non-meat essentials. They also make peanut butter and have coffee brewing if your in need of a little pick me up.

I was at your store this week - I didnt recognize one clerk and that two that waited on me didnt have a clue. Charged incorrect amounts - tried to weight the already packaged and weighed bee pollen. What I also noticed is their prices are not competitive any longer. Barleans can be purchased at Amazon for $5 less per bottle on the small size. There is no longer a reason to go to the Food Mill after over 40 years.

Probably one of the best health food store Ive ever been in. Everyone was super friendly to me in a very natural way, their bulk section was super affordable! I went in for just some pancake mix and left with 50 bucks worth of stuff and quality rice for my workouts!
