No entry without a mask and gloves is allowed yet nobody is socially distancing. People jump lines. The lines are pretty long. Cleanliness and lighting can definitely be improved. Prices are good. A lot of ethnic products which are not sold in places like Safeway and TJ.

Won Kee supermarket is a super secret gem (for white people at least) of Chinatown. My mom in Idaho wanted nothing more than a bag of Li Hing Mui for her birthday so I waltzed over. Its a 5 minute walk from Lake Merritt BART.Alas, I couldnt get in the first time because I didnt have rubber gloves or any small bills to buy some. Chinatown knows how to battle Covid!The next time i went with gloves I got SIX different varieties of salted plum. My mom thought Id scoured all of Chinatown, but that was a one stop Goldmine.I go there all the time nowadays. Great fresh vegetable and fruit selection. Great Chinese spices. Its cheap!

Theyre testing your temp and insist on mask and gloves. The only store in Oakland Chinatownthat I know of thats using these measures.

Three stars for what its worth. The produce is reasonable and fresh. Sometimes cheaper than nearby stores. The attitude of employees varies from day to day. They refuse to bag your groceries nowadays. It all started when the government encouraged consumers to bring their own bags. There are about four parking spaces, hardly enough but better than nothing.

Good prices. Fresh produce, meats and seafood . Nice prepared foods. Especially the yummy mochi peanut dessert. Plus, there is a free limited parking. If it is full, you need to wait until a car leaves for your turn. What more can you ask for at a premium location.

Fresh produces and most them are cheaper than other grocery market. Very limited parking space. If you dont mind walk for a block or two, street parking should be available near by.

It has a good selection of Asian produce and is one of the bigger grocery stores in Oakland Chinatown, but it has long lines. There is a line in the back of the grocery store that you can go to, instead of the two lines in the front.
