Clayton homes was a very nice place and Jodi the salesperson that helped us was incredibly knowledgeable. He was friendly, courteous, he listened to what I wanted and answered my questions. It was great to have a salesperson that was not pushy and that was helpful.

I wife and I have visited the Clayton homes facility in Ocala Florida weve been there twice and are considering purchasing a Clayton home. They have been very forthright and helpful in every way and are trying to build a home according to our needs and wishes. I will probably visit there again.

We are so glad we went to them instead of a small manufactured home dealership. We highly doubt we would have received the level of care anywhere else. The general manager Chris and the sales rep Jodys went above and beyond to make sure things were done right when there were a few issues and were always pleasant to deal with. I would give 0 stars if I could. My husband and I were fully in the process of buying with Clayton Homes. We were given a quote, approved for the loan and started buying our property for our first home. We were so excited. Once everything was started we were told our salesman would be changing. We spoke to the new rep constantly, he seemed extremely helpful and pleasant. We had probably been working together for about a month. Then the day I was going to pay for the appraisal and such he called telling me the home we chose had been discontinued. I was very upset, why had this not been noticed before? However in talking I realized they had the totally wrong home on my file, so it was corrected and confirmed the home we wanted was actually cheaper than the home that was on file. Wonderful it was working out for the best anyway! The next call stated the previous salesman had forgotten to add some fees and I needed to resign the corrected contract. What had been forgotten turned out to be $30K+ worth of fees!!! Im in no way naive, we expected some additional fees and adjustments but 30K of forgotten fees that turned out to be the fees for the well and septic!! My original salesman said those fees were included in the quote and the adjustments we would see would be around 10k - 15k, not 30K plus 10K-15K. I spoke multiple times with the manager about the issue and he in no way would honor the deal his salesman presented to us or even try to help in any way. He just kept telling me to sign the new contract and he would have the appraisal done to get me a true end price. If I had signed but still had to back out I would have lost all deposits I had put down already. It felt like a bait and switch. The kind of thing that causes people to bepuahed into buying homes they cant afford. Their sales person quoted us, they should have stood by the word of their employees or at least offered some help to make it right. Meet me half way, throw me a discount, something to smooth over the mistake. Not just sorry, he quoted you wrong.Just before all this we ended our lease on our rental home expecting to have our new home in a few months. Now we had to start from scratch and are living with family, our entire lives are in storage and we are trying to find a home.Not good business ethics if you ask me.

Seamless experience from start to finish, all of the staff went above and beyond and I was well informed during the whole process of getting my home constructed. Jordan and Jodys are great, I personally would recommend Clayton to anyone.

Two stars because their homes were very nice and well priced, but that is as far as I got! After doing a walk through of the homes and picking out models that I liked (at the Ocala location), I went back to the front office to speak with someone about filling out the necessary paperwork and ask further questions. I was told by Terry that Evan was the person who first contacted me through email and he would have Evan continue to help me. Okay. Evan made me feel like he didnt want to help me and short answered all of my questions. I walked out with further questions and no paperwork filled out. I then emailed Terry later that same day and it took him 2 business days (because they are closed on Sundays) to respond to my email. He did not answer any of my questions, only said he would pass my questions to Evan. Another 2 business days passed until I heard from Evan who still did not answer my questions, only told me to call the office. Now, a week later, I called and he was able to answer my questions over the phone. I was then ready to get the ball rolling and emailed Evan asking if he would be able to email me the application so I would be able to fill it out and email it back because I am unable to make it to their office during their working hours (which I had reiterated to both Terry and Evan multiple times). It has been 4 business days since my last email, and I have not heard back from Evan. I also emailed Terry and have not heard back from him either.I have since gone with another company because they obviously dont care about their customers and responding to them in a timely manner.

I have nothing but good things to say about Terry and Chris at Clayton Homes of Ocala. Terry made the stressful process of buying a home so much nicer. Add the craziness of Covid-19 during the delivery and setup, my gosh this would have been a nightmare with out Terry! One of the most important things is Chirs has kept every promise that was given to us, something that does not happen in today’s world. Buying any home has snags and issues, Clayton Homes of Ocala makes them as easy as possible.

Terry is one of the friendliest salesmen. We purchased a home from him in 2015 and had a great experience. I would recommend this company to everyone.

First, the customer service we received while on tour at the location in Ocala was great and far better than Lakeland. However I can’t rate higher then 1 star simply because the customer service / lack of communication received since leaving site. My wife & I experienced poor customer service in Lakeland which is why we drove 1.5 hours to Ocala and we were glad we did at first! Since then, we have requested further pricing details on land clearing & a couple homes to fit within our already approved budget HOWEVER we received 0 attention. We’ve sent email, text, and phone call and checked on update status. I’m not sure what we did to receive this poor communication but my family was EXCITED to purchase a home from Clayton in Ocala and now... were discouraged because clearly they aren’t interested in selling to us. I guess we’ll keep searching for a dealer with better communication that’ll be there during the process and answer any and all questions.

Very bad experience with the people. They convinced me to change my lender which hurt my credit and dropped my score. I TRIED hard work with them and they failed to try to offer customer support. Would not recommend them.

My husband and I are the looking stage of Mobile Home buying. I saw an advertisement for Clayton Homes so we took the time to visit. The salesman us limited information and a few floor plans. We were able to look at just about all the models they had on the lot. These homes are very lovely and well buily but they come with a price tag.

The staff were really nice and the homes were nicer then we have seen around. We were surprised by how many nice choices and the prices were good and the quality of the build and upgrade choices were really nice. We like the Clayton Homes after looking around for a longtime we are ready to buy and we are cash buyers looking forward to adding a home to our property in Wildwood. Finally we are very excited and will be snowbirds soon!

Loved my experience at this store. Jodys was a great help! He answered all of my questions and left me feeling confident about buying my home. I had my kids with me and they were not listening too well but Jodys gave them something to draw on so we could talk about the home which I appreciated very much! I would not recommend going through this company. They will tell you what you want to hear so you buy through them.

One star is for them actually having reasonably priced options (or at least by the looks of it since I did not proceed with the purchase and cant comment on actual quality once you live in one). Sales tactics are borderline illegal. They sent in an application under my name with an estimate that was hiked up from the one I agreed to after stopping by in person and filling in the paperwork. The customer service rep was just as rude and ignorant implying that my name, Lubov, is a fake name. Red flag after red flag even though the initial walk through seemed very promising. But the only thing I walked out of there with is another hit on my credit score for nothing.

On August 1st, 2019, we will have occupied our new home for almost 6 months. Choosing to buy a home from Clayton Homes of Lakeland/Ocala (they collaborated and Ocala installed it, which was an absolute nightmare) is the worst decision of my life. Our brand new house is falling apart piece by piece: the back door doesn’t shut properly so now there is warping, the trim is bowing out along the door frame, the air conditioner stops working on and off, the front door doesn’t shut properly without closing it twice and the screen door handle latch works when it wants to. Now, we have almost zero water pressure to one of our showers, there is no caulking between the shower wall and the tub base, so all kinds of moisture is seeping in around it, and the toilet seats are breaking off of the toilet out of nowhere. The center piece that covers the point where two halves of the home meet is FALLING OFF, and we had been told, “Someone might be out in two weeks...”Our home is falling apart and failing piece by piece, and we haven’t even been here half a year. We have a perfect history of renting houses/apartments with NO damage and NO problems. There is no excuse for any of this to be happening! I’m starting to question whether Clayton Homes of Ocala actually bothered to have this place inspected properly, or just fudged the paperwork.Our first home buying experience has been an absolute nightmare. I don’t know if we have any legal recourse. I feel absolutely helpless and disgusted with Clayton Homes...

The manger didnt know what he was doing got approved close to closing the manager pulled out living my family without a place to live 1500 later and no explanation off why we had to take our business to another place he waited three month to tell us he was not taking our business

5 stars doesnt even begin to justify the amazing experience I have had with Jodys. We got a very nice 2019 manufactured home for 63k. The entire buying experience was outstanding! Excellent customer service even towards my 12 year old! Jodys really went to bat for us on our home and it more than paid off. He made us an great deal and I highly reccomend this place but more so recomend asking for Jodys.. he really takes care of his customers!
