Did not listen to what I wanted and chopped my hair off. Even showed them a picture and still ended up looking like coconut head

So I called to see if they had someone that could braid my hair. This is the first JCPennys that I know that doesnt have a black hair stylist. Thats insane to me. Mind you this isnt the first time Ive called and asking. In the four years of being in this town nothing has changed and that is sad. But the sweet lady did give me a number to a braider but maybe yall need to consider hiring her smh 🤦🏾‍♀️ or someone that does black women hair.

I have used this salon in the past and they did very professional work...great 4 highlights which some salons won’t do & 4 a reasonable price. W/ Penny’s current “financial situation,” hopefully the community will support this place so this location won’t be “targeted” 4 closure. Moreover, some people might associate this salon as a “Department store salon” and, therefore, perhaps not the same “caliber” as a free-standing salon. This is NOT the case as this salon is a both a separate entity/salon [that just happens 2 be “renting space” from JCP] and, again, they do very professional work. Most of them that I have spoken to have been both professionally trained and working in their field for 10 to 20 years so these are not “newbies,” so to speak. The only difference being you won’t pay an exorbitant fee for the same haircut that you would @ other salons in Northeast Odessa salons, capiche?

I am very happy I took a chance and chose this salon. I booked my appointment online the night before with ease. When I arrived at the salon I was greeted by 2 happy employees who confirmed the services I had requested introduced me to my stylist Micah and promptly seated me and began gathering supplies to complete the task. Micah quoted me the price for a candlestick perm and cut and made sure I agreed and understood the risks in placing chemicals in my hair. During every step of the process Micah explained to me what was happening, why and what to expect from it. Although Im not tender headed was very gentle and personal space conscious. She was thorough as well as quick. I expected to spend at least 6 hours in a chair but she had my entire service finished in just under 4 hours! She coached me on what products to use for the results I was wanting but didnt push for me to buy it right then and there. I love my new look and I will return to see Micah for my next cut.

I made an appointment online. The stylist I chose had called in sick to work, but personally called me to let me know that I would still be taken care of which was really nice!My stylist was Jazmin and she did a wonderful job!

My stylist did a beautiful job on my hair. I came in with a picture for her, and I walked out with a great, new hair cut. I had spent the last year going to different salons for the same style and was always disappointed. This stylist had more experience and better training compared to the other salons. While I had nice cuts from other places, at the Pennys salon I received a superior cut and style. They were busy, but it was worth the wait. I will not go to any other salon.

I used to love coming here but half the time my appointments are double booked and we get put off for another day or two. My time is just as important so Id appreciate being notified in advance instead of an hour before when I could have made an appointment elsewhere in the time it took to be disappointed. It makes no sense to have only one or two stylists working when theres booths for at least ten. I guess well go back to Coiffures.

Called for appointment 2 weeks ago with a certain person. Appointment was given to me for last Sunday. Well when I got there last sunday they didnt have my appointment in the computer😏🤔 and the hair dresser wasnt even in. Was told she dont work on sundays at all. The lady apologized for the mistake. Told me someone else could do my hair. Well no thank you. I asked for a certain hair dresser and need a appointment soon. Was told she call me on Monday, neatless to say that never happened. Guess someone doesnt care!!!

The best little place I had found to fix myself but you go and there is no one at the reception, you wait and wait for pleasure, no one attends you very bad reception service. And I called again when I left to make an appointment and they hung up the phone on me.
