Horrible Customer Service! I ordered material on line and when I went to pick up the material is was damaged and of very poor quality. They wanted to charge me a restocking fee to refuse the order. I spoke with the manager, JT Taylor, and he said that was their policy. They refused to provide undamaged product. Any other reputable business would apologize for the poor quality and replace it with the proper product.

2.5 stars rounded down for negative vibes. Good luck finding anything, associates are the worst of the big box hardware stores and their website does not give item locations in the store. Checkout is like IKEA where they funnel you through a lane so prepare to squeeze past large carts if you do not make a purchase. Home Depot and I believe Lowes all have give you the aisle and bin information... there associates are also friendlier and more helpful.

Ran in to grab a can of spray paint about an hour before the store closed. I was in a hurry and didnt spot it immediately so asked the 3 associates standing at the paint desk who were just standing there doing nothing. All 3 just pointed in a general direction and literally said absolutely nothing to me! So I asked specifically which isle, and one of the guys very rudely said, Well we all 3 pointed in the same direction but I guess I will have to walk you to the isle so you can find it. WOW!! REALLY?!! OH GOODNESS IM SO SORRY TO ASK YOU FOR HELP AND BOTHER YOU SO MUCH!!! As he was leading me over to it I said I dont need to be escorted and that when it comes to directions actual words help! (I asked honestly looking for a response like aisle 28 or 3 aisles that way and to your left or something helpful like that -- not the cold shoulder and rude comment!!! I got what I needed, left and wont be back! How totally uncalled for and RUDE!!! No wonder I prefer Lowes and Home Depot over that Menards!!

We bought a dishwasher. We told them black. They gave us white. But didnt know it until my husband pulled it out of the box. He had to repack it and take it back to get the right one. Then they gave him the wrong part to hook it up. So we came back again. We have used 3/4 of tank of gas with all the trips. And these days, thats a lot of money. We have NEVER had a good experience shopping here. Once we get the right part, were not coming back.

They have a different selection but i find it harder to shop here. its old school so you gotta go through a gate and security to load your stuff. what i really dont like is youre sorta left to your own in the barn/yard to find whatever it is you bought, like plywood or etc. it always takes way longer than other lumber yards. i do find they have a variety thats different than other yards.

Good prices. But worth to extra money to go somewhere else. Customer pick up is horrible. Ordered three sinks, two countertops, and four base cabinets. Got my confirmation email that my order was ready. Get here and they bring me one sink only. He has the invoice with my full order and asked me to come back tomorrow to have more time to pull the order. Tell him I’ll wait. Brings more of my order out. Still missing the cabinet bases. He goes back again, brings me one only. Now I wait for the last two base cabinets. Been waiting for almost two hours (still waiting) for an order that’s supposed to be ready for pick up. This is NOT the first time this has happened. Fourth time now. The only time there were no problems, was when I went and got the items myself.

Poorly managed store in Olathe!! Manager on duty at the time named Alex had a very unprofessional demeanor. I purchased a lawn mower with a warranty a little over a year. I had issues with the mower staying running. A manager named Alexandria previously approved a return on Friday and told me to just bring the mower back and drain the gas and oil. I did so and bought the mower back on Monday evening. The manager on duty named Alex was very demeaning, rude, and belittling in her communication with me and offered absolutely no solution to the issue and whatsoever. She was trying to do everything in her ability to get a reaction out of now and I maintained my composure. I will be filing a small claims case in Johnson County to make this right. Whatever you do do not purchase one of their warranties on anything, its a complete fraud.

Helpful, professional employees that know what they are talking about. If they don’t know the answer, then they get it. I can’t ask for better than that.

Wonderful store but you guys need to put a stop sign outside Ive almost gotton into an accident several times because there is a large structure in your parking lot covered with a fence and on the other side of it is a four-way stop. There is no stop sign anywhere on this stop cars do not yield.

I purchased a new shower. The sales associate was helpful. All was easy.

They sell 4x8 sheets of plywood but dont have a panel saw available to cut them down. I wasnt able to purchase what I wanted because of this.

Went looking for rocks for the Patio, liked one type and asked for help, asked associate Ben who was rude & unhelpful, he did not tell us that we needed a ticket to take upfront to the cash register for buying tiles or rocks! Was unable to purchase what was needed! I had 2 little kids with me & staff decided to have me run in circles! Extremely reluctant to help associates! Unhappy customer!👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 Can’t even give half star rating!!!

I was looking for something in particular. I asked an associate and she told me where it was but I wanted to. Do some shopping I ran across her later and she took me to where the item was and I got it Great experience. I will be needing new appliances and I plan on getting them at your store. Bought a new washing machine today. I researched online prior among the other two big stores and here. I found the best cost here for my needs. I was also able to take advantage of the bag sale and get 15% off everything I could fit in the bag. Everyone I encountered of the employees were kind and helpful.

Love the Olathe store. I will be going there over my local store. Everyone is friendlier, more helpful. Alyson at the register explained how I can receive 15% off my purchase. Recommend this store to everyone. If I see Alyson again Ill recommend her for a raise. Thank you guys and manager.

Love menards but could not get any help at customer service.

Menards is a full fun shopping day. You are with people that care for you as a shopper and will help you any way they can. We left the store and started to the car and a helper ask if we need help loading the car. If you can find a store like that I would like to see it. L C

I went here to find a Coco liner for my deck ledge flower box, which I couldnt find the size I needed anywhere here locally (30 x 8).I didnt see them on the shelf and upon checkout with other items, I asked the clerk at checkout if hed look and see if they had them.He was very helpful, found what I was looking for and directed me to another person (who was SO helpful).They informed me that they just arrived on the truck.4 men went out of their way to help me by locating them and bringing them up onto the floor.VERY nice experience and VERY nice people.This will be my hardware store from now on.Btw.....prior to coming here I went to HD, not mentioning the full name, when I asked for assistance with the clerk at front door, she paged twice for someone to help and I saw them just standing down the way with NO ONE willing to help.

Staff is sometimes helpful. Found what I was looking to buy with some extra walking. Great exercise. Rebate hook is a pain but welcome when the rebate credit eventually arrives.

I do shop at the other box stores as well but I do like this store. I feel more protected because you have to wear a face mask to get into the store.The store is always clean and well staffed. I also like that you can get some food items as well. You might want to do some research on what you want to buy before buying. Sometimes even with a sale its still cheaper at other stores.

If a midwest farmer made a store, this is it. Everything (literally) in one stop under one roof. Childrens toys and books to light bulbs, plants, clothes, cleaning/office supplies, etc. Good luck making sense where it should be but the 11% mail in rebate makes you come back.

Always a disappointment. Service is hit and miss depending on the department. Last time there the help at the checkout felt like we were inconveniencing employees, and when we notified the lumber yard attendant of a big problem we were basically laughed at and told “what do you want me to do about it”. The service level at this location is embarrassing.

Menards has the best customer service and thats one of the reasons we like to shop there.

Customer service could be better had a group of 3 watch an older gentleman and a teen age girl load flooring into a truck without asking to help and when asked for some string the employee acted like it was an inconvenience for him

Worst Customer Service ever at Olathe location. Stood in line for a return for 30 minutes while three associates were trying to help one person. I wont go there again for fear I may need to return something.

Menards is a great place. Theres just about nothing u cannot find there. We always wait for the 11 1/2 percent rebate.

It was Black Friday, so you would think the hired help would be a little frazzled, but everybody was so nice and helpful. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Well done! Plus I got some really great bargains.

Price mattersAlmost everything over Price home depot was great when compared but now home depot Price way up however they have more lights than depot but again we are paying way more than before my be just because of the covid,19

I typically am a Home Depot customer but decided to give Menards a try. I Went to pick up lumber in drive through lumber yard. All I can say is what a mess. Lumber, packing material, debris all over. Forced to run over wood, rebar and ended up running into bundle a wood in yard due to it being half way out In the middle of the aisle. What’s the point if the yellow line when they have stuff all over? Caused damage to my vehicle. When driving a truck you can’t see items low to the ground. Employees have no cones or anything to show hazards. I can’t believe management allows the space to be such a mess. Completely negligent in my mind. I filed a claim but I’m sure I know where that will go. Needless to say I won’t be shopping here anymore. HD for me.

I dont get the appeal of Menards. Weve made a few different major purchases (washer/dryer, patio furniture). Both times, Menards was much more expensive than Home Depot and Lowes. They do have an extensive selection of goods and the store is very clean - but be sure to price check before purchasing.

I have not wanted to shop here because of them making us wear mask. BUT..... as always they have the BEST selection of vanities and pretty much everything you might want and need. However as soon as i get my vanity I am done with them till they change their mask law. Maybe i will find somewhere else to shop.Sorry Menards you got to quit this mask thing!!!!

The last few times I have had such a great experience getting my product from the yard. Griffin and Jon are the best. They take care in loading the block edgers and are very polite and courteous. Several times before I waited for a long while for someone to come help me. Even in the heat these two are great!!!

I love Menards! They have everything. While the only name brand power tool they have is Bosch, what I love in the store is their building supplies. The prices on their lumber etc. is about forty percent less than those of Home Depot and Lowes.

We purchased some siding and we were asked to go around back to pick up our order. A guy said he would send some one to help us. After waiting 30 minutes we had to track someone down. With out a doubt the employee they sent us was high. His eyes were half open and glazed over. He was confused and asked what we wanted. We showed him our order and he asked where is it at? Mind you thats why he was sent to us. He is supposed to have the answers. Seriously! After he finally found our stuff we had to load it ourselves. Please stop allowing your employees to smoke dope then drive a fork lift. His name was Travis. An hour after being sent around back to pick up our order we are finally leaving. Fools!

Slow online pickup service, as always. Hasnt improved in years. Low stock of some lumber choices makes it difficult to find that good board.

Prices are great, products are of equal quality to any other DIY box I shop. I wish the stores were closer together and that they would open the garden end of the store so that I wasnt forced to walk so far to get to the products I need most.

It wouldnt be too bad. However the local one makes you wear face mask. I am willing to do that, if thats the store policy. My problem with it is, if you dont have one, they will gladly sell you one for a dollar. A store that size,and a company that size, should pick up the tab, and not charge anybody for it, that would make for good public relations. So if a person goes into store and they dont have what they need, they wasted a dollar on a face mask. The other large box stores do not require that. Again have I said if Im asked to wear one I will, but why do you charge people to do it if they dont have one. Even the hospital give them out free. Will not shop there again. We even noticed at the last count 5 workers not wearing a mask

This place is amazing! Take a Home Depot and add a small grocery store to it and there you go. All sorts of deals going on as well

It would be five stars, but Menards is the last retailer that requires a mail in rebate. The reality is they know only a small percentage of those get processed as opposed to placing their customers first. If they profit on the 11% rebate they should be customer centric.

I dont know if other Menards are better, but this one always leaves me wanting more. I walk through the whole store and never find anybody to help me find anything. I walked out in the yard and never found anybody to help me find anything. I go to check out and the checker just pushes stuff down the line. I run my own credit card I get my own receipt might as well be a self-scan. The guy in front of me had at least 50 items. It was very hard on him to just have all those items shoved at him. All in all it was not a good customer experience.

Rebate is a scam. Id give them 0 stars if I could. We have over $500 of rebates pending, and according to their automated tool, they have no record of our submission and there is no phone number to talk to a live person. Dont waste your time.

Went in for 5 Replacement doors and frames 3 were not availiable in the size needed, unfinished stair treads only had 2 in stock.

Menards lumber yard is setup particularly well. You can order online and then drive in to the warehouses behind the building right next the pallet of what youre purchasing, load up, show the gate guard your receipt and youre done! Online orders of smaller items are also picked up back there, so you can get everything without ever having to wonder through the store trying to find things. Great experience!

I went to Menards last night to buy lighting and a ceiling fan for our new porch. The young lady working this department was texting on her phone for 20 minutes (highly doubt it was to a customer). I waited patiently for her assistance. She was extremely rude and not very knowledgable. We have spent over $5000.00 this year at Menards with terrible customer service nearly ever time. I wouldnt have shopped there this time, if I didnt have a big rebate check I finally received last week (4 months after the purchase). I will not be back. Its ashame because they have great products a a far price. But if I didnt want or need customer service Id order everything online. Home Depot will get my business from now on.

Went there today only to be ambushed by their mandatory mask policy. While I frankly dont like these policies, it added insult to injury when they offered to sell me a mask for $ 1.00 so they would allow me to come in and spend my hard earned money........no thank you!.......I did a U-turn, went to Home Depot (where they dont have this No admittance without a mask policy), and spent $ 49.24 ............if youre going to require a valued customer to wear a mask, it would have been a nice gesture to give them one, but, hey, I guess the cheapskate bean counters won this internal argument, and lost my business, today and in the future.

Had everything I needed, easy to find

We came to find wood and some supplies for a project. We couldn’t find 2 of the types of wood we had bought in their warehouse and neither could their employees. There were lots of people who needed help finding stuff and only two guys back there. One of the types of wood we bought we could find but was all split and they couldn’t find more. We ended up just getting a refund for the wood and going elsewhere.

Will not allow children in the store! It is not listed clearly on the website unless you are searching for it. I am a single parent, I have a mask and so does my child. I have wipes and she doesnt touch anything. Had to find this out after a 30 minute drive there. Then to order pick up they charge a fee! They are doing this just to make more money! I wont be shopping here once all this is over.

Showed so much courtesy to clients, shared information on all products and faults of some and good of others, enjoyed hour we spent, will order cabinets from him. Keep up good work.
