Knowledgeable and helpful. Brought my car in for a find out whats wrong inspection, and received a detailed breakdown of the issues they found complete with pictures and descriptions of the problem. Felt like they were looking for genuine issues, not just trying to drum up charges.

I’ve been taking my truck to Psarks for over 5 years and have walked away satisfied.
I was a Customer for 2 weeks, after getting my transmission rebuilt in 1 Week and back to Sparks Shop.I was enquiring When they would have the transmission back together in my truck and Finished.keep in mind transmission back in shop on Friday, and installed and finished the Following Friday 1 Week..while picking up my truck the mechanic showed me some linering issues with shifting from drive up to park on the lever which would not light up on the dash?.even though it was having issues with locking up on the lever.. I suggested on keeping it over the weekend. .would be ok till Monday.. while they do more research on it..had already paid for rebuild..They suggested I take the truck and use it to see if rebooting it would fix the problem.. I paid the total amount and went home and my lever had gotten stuck in park. The Mechanic came out to my House and worked underneath on the gear box for a time.he said that will make it right with me.. by making another Appointment this Week..would rather have it right than not so I Will wait and see..on Monday.mechanic was very professional and has gone out of his way beyond his line of duty to solve these issues..I will be back on Monday..

My first time to Sparks Auto and I could not be happier. I had a check engine light on my dream car and desperately wanted it fixed. Everyone there was extremely up front and honest. They found that it was simply debris clogging a couple hoses and thats it! The Acura Stealership wanted $700 to fix the issue! All I paid for was the labor for the cleaning and it saved me a ton of money. If you want honesty then this is the place. Will take all my cars here from now on. There honest and dont empty your pocket book
Great shop! I took my truck to this shop as it was breaking down. The engine was shacking and running very rough and all the dashboard lights were on and flashing. I was able to drop it off after hours around 8pm with no appointment. The next morning I recieved a call from Wes asking me what was the issue with my truck. I explained was was going on, thinking in the back of my head that I was going to need an engine rebuild. Wes told me they would check it out and get back to me. A few hours later I received a comprehensive report dealing what issue they found with my truck. They then called me and explained the report in easy to understand terms. They had broke thing down into serious problems and things that could wait. They were not pushy at all and did not try to hard sell me on a ton of normal maintenance items. I agreed to the repairs as the price was very reasonable and the next day my truck was ready for pick up. I cant say enough good things about Wes and the crew at Sparks Auto Service. 5 stars.
We used this shops services in the beginning to evaluate my 93 Mercedes on her engine dependability because she started to have problems, they said if we did a few repairs her engine was just fine. Then we got the call the engine blew up on the test drive and she would now need a new engine at this point after paying for the repairs, they had had our car for weeks, we decided because this car meant soo much to me because of the person who gave it to me we would put the new engine in. It took quite awhile to find an engine and in the meantime we moved to Las Vegas. A few months later after many phone calls we were told car was ready by manager and my husband told him what day we would be in Oregon. He arrived to find new manager not knowing he was coming, he paid them and drove the car home, it had issues on the way, not driving at all as good as last engine. There were repairs on the way home. It is now a few more months later and my car doesnt run. I have spent at least $500 more trying to find out what happened with no result. I guess they got me! Its been heartbreaking to not drive my car and infuriating that I had spent thousands at Sparks and my car is not running. I could go easy on the time it took like 3months because of our countries situation right now. The money really hurts right now but what hurts really badly is not even being able to drive my car and if money gets bad I cannot even sell it as it does not run. Such and unorganized shop, no communication, no supervision, oh and I forgot I got my car back so filthy and grimmy I cried when I saw it. She was my prized possession now she just a piece of useless metal.

I bought a used car that was missing an intake system (big oops) and when I took it to Sparks they were super friendly and really wanted to help me find everything that was wrong. When they found issues, and there were A LOT of issues, the owner took me back to look at everything and explain what it means. He didnt pressure me to spend the money to get it fixed, got me a full CARFAX report, and pretty much saved me. Im now returning the car but I will be taking any car I have in the future to them and will be recommending them to my friends and family.

Everything started great with great customer relations. After a lot of money and weeks without my car I had minimal results. Maybe I fell through the cracks, but unfortunately I lost trust with these guys. Other reviews have been great, so I would guess they do better with newer cars (not pre 2000)

At one point I could have recommended these guys, but then they really didnt stand behind their work. They replaced my clutch and transmission (on an older car), 16 months later the clutch failed and they wanted hundreds of dollars just to diagnose the problem. The car was too old for me to invest more money. I just saw my old car driving around town (looking good as new!). Wish they would have given me break and stood by their work.
They are fair and honest its the best place I have ever found to work on my car.

This is my third visit to this shop. The first visit went well and I was pleased with the service and the price.The second visit, the service writher neglected to document what end of my vehicle needed brake replacement - and they pulled apart my front brakes and could not figure out why the parts I supplied for this service would not fit on. The parts fit nicely on the rear which needed brakes.This trip - I informed the service advisor that I wanted them to investigate why the service light was on. I showed him a picture of the symbol that was being displayed, and he thought it was a brake related issue. I requested that they fix what ever brake related issue was causing it and that if they found anything else, that they call me so I could authorize any further work. They topped up the brake fluid and this caused one of the warnings displayed by the service light to clear. When I picked up the vehicle - I discovered there was another service reminder issue that needed to be dealt with that they had neglected to clear.The service writer (who turned out to be the owners son) seemed to be annoyed that I came back in to complain that the service light was still on. Vehicle manufactures have spent a vast number of hours of engineering trying to make cars easier to maintain with effective service reminder lights. I am at a loss to understand why this shop would not handle this issue. Most mechanics jokingly call the service light the money light because if they listen to a customer complaint, then confirm the issue the light is reporting is a valid issue - they can make money fixing the issue (and re-setting the system) and have a happy customer.---Point of clarification based on the owners response - at no point did I ask them to do any work for free. I did explain the last service that was performed so they had the appropriate history to help with their diagnosis. I offered this information to be helpful and not with any expectation of having service lights cleared with out tending to the issues that the warning was trying to advise of.I asked the service advisor to have the manager (Spencer) call me and he said that his dad would not ever be calling me. Perhaps the main reason this issue escalated is that the service advisor seemed to think that he was immune from escalation paths due to some kind of birthright?
This was my first time going to Sparks, but I will return whenever the need arises. Wes was professional and timely with the diagnosis and the repair. Car trouble is always inconvenient and disruptive to our lives, but I found a bright spot in Sparks team!

Love Sparks! Anthony has been great to work with. They did 3200 dollars worth of work on my Duramax and I couldnt be more pleased! Tie rod ends, Water pump, Steering box, Alignment and oil change pitman arm. They treat their customers very well and are honest and easy to deal with. Im moving to Florida but if I was staying around here it would be the only mechanic I would go to. They even recommend using OEM Parts:) very pleased
Very professional shop, Wes preformed an inspection on my Chevy Silverado, and was pleased with the thorough inspection.
Took my car in for a “courtesy inspection” and an alignment and they said the alignment could not be preformed because there was too much to do before it could be preformed. Came to pickup the car and they charged me 100$ for a diagnosis of the wheel wobble that I had explained before the car was even in the shop. Terrible service

They throughly explain to you the issue with your vehicle and properly fix or replace whatever is needed. They absolutely take zero short cuts and refuse to sell cheap parts so you do not return with the same issue. Quality work excellent costumer service. 10/10.

As a single older woman, it is hard to find auto repair you can trust. With Sparks, I have been given a quote and had it significantly reduced because the work was less than anticipated. They also go the extra mile taking my car to get tires replaced and bringing it back to their shop. My son found them first and now our family and friends use them.

Good morning! I normaly dont leave reviews, however i feel it is more than needed. I had made an apointment with Craig on feb 27th to get engine work and an electrical issue taken care of. I lost track of the days and showed up a day early wich could have ended poorly, however he happily greeted me and began working on my vehicle. This meens alot especially considering how busy they are. Not only did he get the work done in a timely manner but also gave me a great deal. I am needing a new catalitic converter wich he also found a good deal on and im sceduled back in march. I would and will greatly suggest sparks to anyone with automotive needs. As everyone knows, finding a trustworthy mechanic can be a stressful, painful and sometimes costly experience. None of these have been the case with these guys. Chris and Spencer are extremely professional and appear to genuinely care about their customers. Between mine and my wifes car, we have used them about 5 or 6 times in the last year for everything from oil changes to services. Not once did I feel that they wanted me to spend money on things we didnt need. In fact, just the opposite. NOTE: I rated Sparks Auto at 4 stars out of 5 only because it hasnt even been a year since we started using them. If things continue as they have (and I see no reason why it wouldnt) I expect that this rating will be easily a 5.Chris/Spencer, my wife and I thank you for taking care of us and our vehicles.

Ive waited a while to write this review because I do not do this lightly. I used Sparks Auto Service back in December for a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle I was buying. I mainly dealt with Hans but then did end up trading one text message with the owner Spencer.The owner of the car I was looking to purchase brought the car to Sparks for the inspection. They completed the inspection and gave me a verbal report over the phone. I was traveling across several states to get the car and needed to know if the car was worth traveling for. I received a positive report on the car with some issues noted. I travelled to purchase the car and found so many more issues upon arrival that I negotiated the price of the car lower. In fact I was so disappointed with the PPI that Hans and I agreed I would pay Sparks only half of their charges and call it even. What I could not do on site was really get under the car and inspect it. I had to depend on the report from Sparks that everything was ok.Getting the car home I put the car up on jack stands and crawled underneath. What I found was suspension that was installed incorrectly and oddly enough adjusted differently on the left rear of the car. Investigating this further I found out that there is a major flaw in the bodywork and suspension on this side. The previous owner was hiding this issue and I was depending on the PPI to identify the major issues. This will most likely cost me literally thousands of dollars to correct. The PPI from Sparks Auto Service was useless.I contacted Spencer (Owner) through a text message and informed him I was highly unsatisfied with the work they had done and would be writing a poor review. He texted me back and said to call him. I called him long distance the very next day. I wanted to give them a chance to address the issue before posting anything. I left a message with Spencer to call me back. That was now 3 weeks ago and I have never heard anything.Unfortunately for me I purchased a car from a dishonest owner and had an absolutely terrible PPI done at Sparks Auto Service that will cost me a lot of money.I chose Sparks because they had all 5-star reviews on Yelp. I now dont believe the ratings I see on line. I personally would steer clear of this shop. I cant be the only one that has a bad experience and never hears from the owner.
