All I can say is WOW! Nate is a wizard, I was having some major issues with a cheap computer I had and he was able to save all my data and transfer to a new computer. Jon and the whole staff are down to earth and so willing to help. I wont go anywhere else for computer maintenance or future purchases!
The life time warranty is great but it means you pay 3 times as much for the same computer and if you do anything your self you could void the warranty. I also feel they could have done a better job getting me more proformance out of the build @ the same price point if the build specialist had chosen more cost effective parts (ones that would have nBeen just as durable).
Took my PC in for a pretty complex diagnosis, and they went well out of their way to check it out and to give me a solid answer as to what was wrong. I definitely appreciate the effort they made. I believe it was Brandon who was my tech? Tall, skinny guy, long hair. Kudos to him especially.
After 16 years since I built my last pc myself, I thought it was about time. Although I didnt miss anything super significant *pats self on the back* I didnt know Id need a bios update. The staff figured out that problem super fast and said they could do it for me, but with school just starting up it would take them about a week. HOWEVER they called me just about 24 hours later saying it was ready. Im super happy.

When I walked into PC Laptops for the first time, the staff there were great! Once I walked in they greeted me; and it was always like this because I went to the store several times. When they werent busy they were right there to help me. Whenever someone arrived before I did, of course they helped that other person first, but they would still greet me to let me know that they knew I was there and they would get to me once they were finished with the other customer; or when another technician arrived. For the several times that I went to PC Laptops, and called them, and how they treated the others customers, you will have a great experience there as well.

Had a great experience with these guys. I was shopping for a new laptop or desktop and decided to just go in and see what they might have. When I walked in the door their service was prompt and the attention was focused on what I needed. This was great! They ran through everything I needed for a custom PC that would meet my work needs for my new computer. The warranty and service plan is unbeatable. Free service and warranty parts on this PC for life! I definitely dont have to worry about getting another computer. If anything goes out on this one, I can bring it in and have it swapped out, or I can pay for an upgrade. This is a ton better than having to buy a brand new computer every time. I just purchased my fourth computer from PC Laptops. Why do I keep paying for expensive computers? Because they are geniuses at what they do. You have a problem, or are an 80 year old computer ninny? Hey, they will fix it/solve it for free! Adam did a great job building it and getting all my stuff onto the new computer, on the day he said he would. Then a tech spent an hour helping me figure out getting it organized back on the desktop. Besides, what other store do you walk into and have everybody yell, Hello! We Love You?
Ive typically built my own workstations, but when my previous build died unexpectedly in the middle of the semester I didnt have the time to research and assemble a build, especially since I no longer live close to a MicroCenter. PC Laptops was able to quickly provide a machine that met my needs at a fair & reasonable cost -- it makes sense that youll pay a bit more for someone else to do the work than if you research, buy, and build yourself!After about a year of heavy compute loads, a couple fans failed. I called PC Laptops, brought-in my computer, they tested to make sure it wasnt a bigger issue, and then put in new fans -- all within two hours of my call and at no charge due to the warranty and service plan. Fantastic all-around goods & service.
Generally good service. The guy who handled my laptop was a bit on the rough end and scratched it while servicing, but he got the job done and didnt charge me. Would still recommend.

I took my 2013 computer in for diagnostics and came home the next day with a new computer! It was the most seamless transition I have ever had upgrading any system. My experiences with PC Laptops have always been top notch. My stream PC experienced a power surge over the weekend and Ken was quick to diagnose the problem as a power supply failure. After installing a new PSU and running further tests to ensure no other components were effected, it was back to running like a champ! I appreciated Ken’s diligence & transparency through the whole process. Also, he was quick to notice that my blu-ray drive was missing a SATA cable and threw one in there free of charge, and I appreciated the gesture! When I came to pickup the PC, both Ken and Jordan were super helpful and I’m grateful they were able to get my PC back up and running so quickly!

Glad I took my busted PC here. They gave excellent explanations of what was wrong and my options, and sold me a really nice PC waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than the piece of junk Id gotten from Walmart - at a discount via trading in the old broken one. Appreciate their deal - buy the PC and can contact them or take it back to them anytime in the event of a problem, once a year they have you take it in to be checked out. Also their choices of music in their store when I was there were quite good.
Very helpful, gave me plenty of information about my computers problems, and lots of advice regarding it. They were nice, efficient, and did their best to help me. When my Macbook was deemed unrepairable, they simply removed the SSD for me and told me how I could transfer everything to a new computer. They counted everything as an evaluation, too, so I wasnt charged any fees. If I ever need a new computer, this will be my first option.
I came in today and was greeted by Jon Howard with a big smile the instant I walked in. He cheerfully helped me reset the codes for my Spyware protection. He also advised me to bring it in next time to save a little money. Because of how Jon treated me it made me glad I came in an ready to return any time. I love you guys!!!
I thought my fancy laptop was broken for a year. Turns out it was just the charger that was broken. I still feel silly about not figuring it out myself. Thankfully the PC repair shop I took it to didnt even charge me for the diagnosis! If youre in the Provo/Orem area and your computer is broken and youre at a loss or lack tools to fix it yourself I highly recommend PC Laptops!
Jon Howard was able to save my hide! My laptop went out right at the beginning of finals, and I was cut off from all my work, my tests, and everything else. Jon was able to get everything up and running again in 4 days, without replacing any expensive parts!

I stopped at Best Buy since my laptop stopped charging. They told me Id end up dropping $200-$500 and I wouldnt have it for 4-6 weeks. Came here for a second opinion and they discovered my laptop was just lagging a bit! I really appreciate the time and thought the two employees put into my problem. I felt they genuinely wanted to provide a solution.Now this place will be my first stop when I have computer issues!
I have purchased two laptops from PC Laptops and have been extremely happy with the service and the friendly attitudes of the technicians as you enter their facility. Their service contract is the best and never once have I been pressured into purchasing any unnecessary equipment or devices. Service personnel have contacted me when the work is done and I have never had any issues. Great company and superior service.
I took a hard drive to the Orem Shop and they destroyed it. The drive was working when we gave it to them. They called to say that the drive was dead. When we picked it up, they had taken the drive apart and never even tried to put it back. Avoid this shop. I give them a one just to get it posted. It does not deserve a star.UpdateAfter I wrote this review above, the manager called to bring back the drive so they can try to fix the problem. He wanted to make sure that I was happy with their service. I went back and not only they fixed the problem, they also did not charge even though I wanted to pay for their effort. They also uploaded the files to a brand new drive at no cost to me. I am grateful and a happy customer. Thank you much! I strongly recommend PC Laptops!

Simply fantastic. Went to Best Buy first to inquire about ram upgrade, they were saying it might work and that the casing was to damaged to “safely” open after they took it to the back to try, and even if they could it would be by appointment same day fix, 40 to fix, 34 for card. Went here instead, he opened it easily with no problem in 5 min, slipped the ram I needed in, snaps it in and I start computer, the new ram works. And he only charged 30 for the ram stick. Fast, easy, in front of me, and super affordable. These guys actually know what their doing. Would definitely choose them if I had any more computer issues or questions

My boss had already sent me the replacement fan, and told me to go to a repair place to have them replace it for me. I got my wife a computer and our son a hoverboard for Christmas.I got everything ordered that week of Christmas and PC Laptops had the computer available to pickup on Christmas Eve. On Christmas day, my son opened his hover board with great excitement. He was zipping around the house and it was surprising that how proficient he became in such a short time. However, carrying a cup of water while on a hoverboard in the kitchen was not a good idea.The computer had been happily sitting on my wifes desk in the kitchen. My son tripped a little while on the hover board dumping the cup of water on the new less than day old PC Laptops computer, soaking it and everything on the desk. Sooo ...We took the laptop in to the Orem location. Computers and water do not mix, and this was no exception. They took a look at it, and just took care of the issue. The replace the computer and took care of EVERYTHING.The computers are not inexpensive, and do you think Best Buy or other big box store would replace my computer and take care of it like they did. Most likely not!I really appreciate the friendly and helpful service that I got!

They honestly seemed more interested in simply selling me a new (and very overpriced) computer than they did in actually fixing my laptop. Every chance they could get, they would try to convince me to trade in my laptop so that I could buy one of their products. They also were disingenuous in terms of the issues with my laptop, telling me that it could not be repaired; I ended up getting it repaired from someone else later that day. They did not tell me about their diagnostic fee until after they charged me for it, and I received conflicting responses when I asked about their repair rates. Overall, they feel very predatory and shady.
I have purchased several computers for our business over these past several months and PC Laptops customer service, the value of their products for the money and their manner of doing business has exceeded my expectations. PC Laptops, we (UVDL) love you!!! :)

I am not in any way a computer savvy guy. Im 80 years old and usually rely on my 8 yr. old grand-son for computer help. When my old computer became too obsolete I opted for a new one rom PC Laptops -- good decision. They made a computer for me that was geared for the limited home use I wanted. I had a bit of trouble sorting through all the wires and connections to set it up at home, I called PCL for help and they were happy take the time to guide me through the set up process. i now have a great computer that meets my limited needs. Very satisfied with PCL.

Extreme salesmen, went is with a budget for a laptop and was tried to over double the price if it for a laptop thats not worth even what my budget coved. Amomgst that their boss was driving up and the employees shout through out the store to inform the boss is coming and to look like their working. dont recommend this place at all WAY over priced and not very nice employees that capitalize on peoples lack of knowledge, the ones that I delt with at least.

My last desktop was a Dell I purchased in 2010. Noticed how slow it was working and remembered it only had 4GB of RAM. I looked into Dell and HP then checked out PC Laptops. They designed and built exactly what I wanted. Was it a bit more expensive then the brand names, yes, but they have a LIFETIME warranty for their desktops on parts and labor AND they use higher quality components throughout the build. Jordan was fantastic to work with and they transferred my files from my old Dell to the new computer at no charge. Built it in two days. It screams along and I am very happy with it. I would highly recommend PC Laptops if you are looking for a new computer.Since the purchase of our desktop we went back to PC Laptops and had them build us a laptop as my HP was not working and it turned out the hard drive was toast. We use the laptop when we travel in our RV and they once again did a fantastic job and we are very happy with it. It serves our needs very well. I highly recommend PC Laptops, they dont put a lot of needless software on to slow the system and their hard drives are not burned up by Windows 10

I went in to the local PC Laptops store. I was greeted by one of their technicians, John, who was most courteous and helpful. After talking with me about my 5-year old desktop, he introduced me to Jonathan, who asked about my needs and in a few minutes got me set up with a new computer, which I received the next day. Great service and friendly help which this person appreciates. Great terms to pay for my computer. Highly recommended!!
I went in and they checked out my HP laptop because it had become extremely slow in just a few days. As I suspected my and drive was dying. No charge! My kids bought me this computer at a box store. My next one will come from PC Laptop.
I’m not normally one to write reviews but here I am. I took my laptop in because it was throwing memory errors. They told me it would take a day or two to repair. A week and $214 later I took home a computer and foolishly didn’t think to try and start the laptop up in store. I got home and it didn’t work so I took it back and showed them it still wasn’t working. They took it back and today I received a call saying that the error it was could only be fixed if they replaced my hard drive but the error would occur again at some point or if I sent it into hp to get them to fix it which they advised against. So I told them not to do anything and had my dad go pick it up because I was unable to retrieve my still broken laptop at the moment. He went and since the laptop wasn’t working demanded that they issue me a refund well somehow there was now a third option that would fix the error entirely but they advised against it because it would wipe the computer memory. My father told them to do it which they kept trying to say not to do because I would lose my downloads and anything saved to my computer. He again told them to do it and asked why this option wasn’t given to me and they said it was because they didn’t think I would be interested since the memory would be wiped. So this means that I was lied to and cheated through this whole process and they didn’t trust me to make a decision about my own computer but hey it’s finally fixed and I’m out by nearly a month’s pay. Disappointed and will not return to a place that lied to me several times just so they could line their own pockets. I’ve edited my review up a bit because they did call and apologize and offered to refund if I removed my review but I will not remove it because I feel people have a right to know what happened and what could happen for them but the fact that they reached out and seemed like they wanted to help restores a bit more faith in them but I still would not trust them with my laptop again the situation is incredibly confusing and maybe it was just a misunderstanding or miscommunication but I’m still upset that this happened.

My experience with PC Laptops was nothing short of excellent. From the initial order to pickup I was treated as one of the family at the Orem facility. The technician Ken was super amazing and helpful with all aspects of the setup process. My old computer needed a new hard drive and he was able to go through it and assure me all was well but just needed the new hard drive. He was able to save my data from the disc and put it on a new one. I am very pleased with the service and personal care I received at this location. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is tired of dealing with the foreign assistance lines of the big computer companies and the runaround that they give you when you need help once the purchase is finalized. You wont run into that problem with PC Laptops. I get calls wondering if my new computer is running well or if I need help. Cant ask for better than that.

I needed a crossover cable and expected that they would either not have one for sale or that they would have to make one. I walked in and out in literally 2 minutes. John gave me a cable at no cost. Just that simple. Great service!!! My next PC will come from John, period.

When my old computer died I went to a national chain store and bought a new desktop computer. I took it home and set it up. It started shutting down by itself. When I returned the computer to the store they offered to give me tutoring. I told them no amount of tutoring would stop the computer from shutting down. A friend suggested I try PC Laptops. It was night and day different from the start. They sat down with me and asked how I used my computer, then built a computer to meet my needs. Their At Home Support has been very helpful in getting the most out of my new computer and I would recommend them to anyone.

I took my computer in to PC because it had stopped working....I was told over the phone a free 15 minute diagnostic exam....At store rep told me it would have to be looked at by one of their techs....and a $50 fee...Next day called and said my mother board was toast.....When I went to pick up computer all fees were waved because they couldnt fix...and no pressure was put on me to buy one of their computers...Very nice and comforting business.....I will be back...

My husband and I went in for help today with a compatability issue we had with software we had bought on Amazon. Even though we had bought the computer a couple of years ago at PC Laptops, they were happy to help us and solve the problem. Thanks to Nate and Jackson for being so helpful!
Second trip here for a repair. First visit went great. For the second visit they gave a estimate of 2-4 weeks to possibly repair a power port. After 3 weeks I had to call them and they said they needed to check with the repair warehouse. After 4 weeks I had to call again. They said they were done but the warehouse was looking for the power cord. Called a week later and they were still waiting on the warehouse. At 6 weeks I got a call that my laptop was in but the cord was lost. The warehouse was going to order a new one and that should take a week. Not sure if they have heard of Amazon. 2 weeks went by and still no update. I called them but the supervisor was in yet. I was told they would give him a message to call me. 5 hours later, still no call. So I called again. And guess what, the supervisor had just stepped out. Again I was told that they would give him a message to call me. I received no call back that day. So after 8 weeks I went into the store. They spent 10 minutes trying to locate the laptop. Supervisor had left early that day. They finally found the laptop but no power cord. Got the laptop. Didnt have to pay anything since they could test it. Thought I might have gone there to purchase my next computer but they have most likely lost my business. Techs are nice guys but not sure what is going on with management and the repair warehouse.
