Well this place was fun! I had never been here before and wasnt looking for anything in particular, which is why I probably had a good time. There is a lot of random things and it may be hard if you are going there looking for something specific.I was with my parents and they got me a set of TV trays I was looking at as a birthday gift! They have worked great. They even got a set for themselves. It was fun to see other random things there. I will definitely be going back to find more treasures in the future!

I wander aimlessly in the midsts of overflowing clothing racks and unlabeled areas. There are hanger thrusted violently from crowded racks creating a jagged lines of disheveled clothing. For a moment I thought my journey was over, that I found something of worth, only to find the price was almost, if not more, of a brand new shirt. It’s as if DI suddenly decided they were Louis Vuitton. If you are willing to spend hours trying to find where the mens section is, or interested in cute cats of steel cut oats that have no price on them, this is the place for you. Otherwise, sit yourself on the couch and find a hidden gem online.

Was bummed by how expensive this place has become. We have come to the NPS store in SLC for years, always fair prices. When this one opened, it was similar- a place to find greatly discounted items and groceries. But, everything we saw on our most recent trip was ridiculously priced, charging more than even most grocery stores or Costco charge for the exact same items. The only thing I remember being reasonable is some of the clothing on a big sale right now.

Great finds! But, worst customer service from a girl with a pink wig, black winged eyeliner, and with glasses. I asked her nicely about things I had questions on but, she just gave me attitude the whole time and was not even nice. I left pretty upset.

Not impressed. Prices seem quite high for a discount store. Mens shoes I looked at were in the $30 plus range and had quite a poor selection. Go to Savers down the road instead. Place is relatively clean though.

Got some great deals on drinks and music supplies. I did see a mouse run across the floor while I was there, but its a small price to pay for low prices.

Its hit or miss here, I have found some real treasures for a great deal and then I have seen stuff that I looked up on Amazon to find I could get it brand new on Amazon for half the asking price. Makes me wonder who and how they decide what to charge.

When looking for scrubs for my job I was very pleased to find a pair of scrubs for 70%. Paying roughly $5 in all for a top and bottom of scrubs was honestly so relieving. They have an incredible selection of new discounted goods and an excellent selection of employees. Every single person I talked to was friendly and answered all my questions without hesitation. This store is unlike any other. I don’t understand where these products come from or how, but they are all soooo random. They have a few really high quality things, if you’re willing to dig. I only looked at clothing, but I found clothes from ASOS, Nasty Gal, Guess, and Free People. The majority of the clothing is just random and not organizing in basically ANY way, but that might be why it’s so cheap. I might pop in here from time to time to see if I can find something cute, but it’s definitely not a quick place to shop. I liked what they’re doing here, I just don’t understand it.

The NPS store is so nice, the employees are very friendly. Even though they don’t have sales anymore you can still get great deals. Kristine in collectibles is really nice and helpful.

I thought they sold items that had the packaging damaged and otherwise in new condition. That is not the case. I bought a humidifier and when I opened it it was full of water built up. It was obvious that the item had been used for a while and then returned to Amazon and then sold to NPS. The price was only $10 off the price for a new one from Amazon. I also bought a smart plug from them and I had the same problem. It turns out that since the item was returned at one point and connected to an Amazon account from the initial owner, they don’t allow you to connected to a new account. I called customer service and they advised me to return the item because they shouldn’t be selling those items after they have been blocked in the Amazon systems. And the worst part is that they will not give you your money back and will tell you that you have to have store credit. They’re selling you some thing that they know you are going to return and they do it to take your money and have you buy whatever else you can to recoup your loss. It should be legal, it is stealing.

Tons of random stuff. Prices are ok not fabulous but ok. Theyve got clothes, auto parts, power tools, kitchen stuff, bedding same some food stuff.

The Orem store is far worse than the salt lake store. Places more expensive than regular stores Plus items that are out of date are even more expensive than what I could buy at regular stores the salt lake store has a far better inventory at close to quarter of the price of the Orem store dont waste your time coming here. It is not worth it

Never been before but I was surprised by how much stuff they have! They have groceries, clothing, electronics, everything! And it seems to be way cheaper than normal pricing.

What a great place to shop! They purchase merchandise that has been transported by semi trucks and other means that were perhaps in an accident in transport. NPS buys the containers of goods, sorts out the good stuff and sells it at reasonably low prices. It benefits them and us as consumers. Ive been shopping at their stores for over a decade. Awsome!

The pricing is good. Food stuffs are very good in price. Especially in the summer, example is of Dreyers brand ice cream for 99 cents.

Everything in this place is great, and very inexpensive. Super good deals. Beware the electronics dept. Bc its an open box store. However, I really scored on a Hewlett-Packard mini desktop for less than two hundred bucks oh, and Im thrilled with that.Also Great Deals On Tools, clothing sports equipment, thats a lot of other stuff I was surprised to see in there. Like bulk food stuffs. I stocked up on a lot of a lot of things for cheap

***HORRIBLE***customer service i walked in and saw 3 people at service talking doing nothing at all.. I went to electronics to grab a specific item I wanted. I saw a note that said “closed at 4 due to short staff” yet there was plenty of people “working” doing nothing. I Asked one of the 3 employees if they could help me super fast to just grab the item and pay.they replied with sorry we can’t due to short staff and kept talking to each other as they laughed.. really poor customer service. I drove 40 min for that one item and they were not helpful at all... could’ve took them 2 min to reach over the counter and hand it to me.

Ill take my 1* down after you lower some prices. You need someone in the back who knows how to price these overstock/returned items...We might as well go to Home Depot to get our tools since you charge just as much and more! Bring the price down, your ratings are important...and stop selling expired food or else someone is going to sue you guys

I have a love-hate relationship with this place. On the product side of things there sale days and box drops I find myself filling my truck with great deals (but be careful because their sales can be super deceptive, dont expect them to be reasonable, I overheard the department manager laugh and say no when the cashier helping me asked if the phone accessory sale would include an automotive speaker phone adapter).On the customer service side with a bunch of awesome people that are super helpful. And then theres that guy that is just rude turning a pleasant shopping experience into a reason not to come back.

NPS is a great place to come if youre looking to treasure-hunt. Just dont expect to find anything specific. And when you come back, dont expect to find the same thing again.

Lots of great prices, and lots to choose from. They have a room at the southwest corner of the store that you can fill up a bucket of whatever will fit for $5 its pretty cool. The only bad thing was the cashier tried to tell me a dumbbell that I really wanted that weighed 22.5 LBS actually weighed 49.6 LBS and they charge a dollar per pound. So I was unable to purchase it which was very frustrating

I like this place even though its something of a mess sometimes. I guess that goes with the type of store it is. They are kind of a overstock store where you can find all sorts of things. I get most of my soda there because its the cheapest in town even though they might not have exactly what you want. Keep an open mind and you can save a lot of money. I recommend it highly.

They are great for what they are trying to be. It’s always got great prices and great finds. You can some sweet deals here. The only problem is trying to find the item you’re looking for. It literally could be anywhere and there is no way of knowing in advance what they have in stock. Good luck!

This is a discount store offering clearance items ( last season) in clothes, housewares, furniture, and electronics among other things. Very big store worth going to if you like discount stores like TJ Maxx, big lots, etc.

The NPS store is very nice. I was a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of items in the store. They had a great variety though. It was slightly chaotic and some items were buried underneath things so it was a little hard to see some of the items. Overall its a very nice store with name brand items at a discount.

Went here today looking for sports equipment and found some good items that were way, way overpriced. Went online to the company website that makes the product they had and found they sold it like new for $75 dollars less than NPS did. If your looking for a good deal you wont find it with sports equipment, but you might with clothing. They also had a 25% OFF sale on all sporting goods last week and would not let us use that for a very expensive item today. They said I had to come back when they had another sale and did not know when that would be. I get that for most retail, but when your in the business of resale or customer service give the person the 25% discount they would have had the week before because they will never be back to this store ever again now. Note: we also live hours away so talking to customers and finding out how far or how long they have been looking is good info to ask. If you care about your customers. If you want to be a Target or Walmart then keep your aisles clean and pick up the stuff all over the place. It looks more like a bad thrift store than a Ross or TJ Max.

My wife and I honestly just love going here and seeing what we can find! Like a treasure hunt. So you won’t necessarily find what you are looking for specifically but generally they have some good stuff here! The only problem I have is that they have mystery boxes that you can’t look into to see what the product is and you can’t return it. I mean that’s too much mystery for me, I don’t want to spend my money on something that I can’t see!

Update: Changed from 2 stars to 4. Theyve gotten much better at being transparent with their sales and including more things youd think would go with that sale, or expressly stating what is not included. Theyve also been more consistent about posting their sales on their Facebook page every Monday. You still have to make sure the sale price is what rings up, (Ex: I find the ice cream rarely rings up at sale price.) but theyve gotten much nicer about fixing these things and often all it takes is a comment. I still ask about things at customer service if theres any confusion, and I usually come away with a pleasant exchange. I enjoy it again, even if it isnt perfect.I was ENAMORED at first, such great prices on so many things! Like a treasure hunt! They even got a produce/frozen section! But their sales are a joke. Sale on Arts and Crafts but it doesnt include paper, scissors, crayons, markers, etc. because those are Office Supplies? But were going to put a sale sign above them like they do count. This is not the first time this has happened. Actually, it almost happens weekly. Clearly a backpack, but rings up as a purse, even though it has backpack straps and no purse strap. Uh huh. It feels like theyre trying to get away with something, and since you dont find out it doesnt count until you get to the register, you feel compelled to buy it anyway. Shady.Ive started checking things at customer service first, but they often act like Im a problem customer to ask such a thing, for them to do their job. I feel judged anytime I ask for clarification on a price. I still go, because their prices are good, but not nearly as often as before.

This place pretty cool if you like taking time to treasure hunt. If you find something that you like, you better get it, because it will most likely not be there next time. Everything is one of a kind. The clothes seem to be priced on the high side. The groceries and other random items are priced decent. My kids and wife like the bargain room at the back of the store.

Gingerbread cream cookies for 33 cents a box! So good! Spicy! Also love the bread; its not got preservatives. Good for you and doesnt have ingredients that I dont want. I found an herb tea screen cup that Ive used every day since. Love the choices and prices!

This store has some interesting things. And they are all scattered everywhere. I think if you go in looking for something, I dont think you are going to find it that easily.

NPS is a fantastic store, filled with overlooked items that just might fit what you were looking for - if you’re patient going through what initially seems like chaos. But once you get the store layout, you can find just about anything. The best part for me was navigating through the numerous deals and discounts; you can find a bargain for new items almost every hour. In fact, using the bargain discounts one day, our $90 order got a certain percent discount if we spent $15 more - so we found a yoga mat we were looking for and out bill stayed the same! Again, you know what you’re looking for and are patient, you’ll get more than your money’s worth.

They have implemented a mask gestapo...This store isnt worse that kind of hassle.

I love NPS. Every time you go it is different. I always watch for their sales, that is when prices are really good. I think their cosmetic prices are way over priced for a discount store. It is a great place for office supplies, pet food, and drinks.

Love NPS! We often get cheap snacks and other dry goods here and they have good deals on soda. $2 for 12 packs when theyre on sale and 4/$1 on bottled sodas.They also have a $10 fill a bucket area which can be a great deal depending on the inventory that they have. Most of the items in there are branded and things you would get from a table at a job fair.

Searching through the items can a bit daunting sometimes, but when you find something that is useful it is great.

I couldnt tell if it was the fault of customers picking items up and putting them down elsewhere or that its hard to organize all of the different things.

You can find some great deals here. As you would expect for a store like this, the selection can be hit and miss so you need to go in with the right expectations. My favorite finds are typically the ones I just happen upon by browsing through the sporting goods or office supplies.

I’ve been a customer of NPS for many years and was very excited for it to come to Utah. When it first opened, it was good, they had a hard working manager that was always there named Steve. He’s not there anymore and it’s steadily gone downhill. I won’t even shop there anymore. I still go up to Salt Lake occasionally but it’s not as good as it used to be either.

Good place for some food bargains, however the SLC NPS offers the best choices. But just in case you need a laugh when you wipe your assets.

Great discounts if youd like to hunt... Store was quite unorganized but that might be the point they just sell what they get and put it out. Employees were nice and helpful but we did have to hunt them down to get help.

I enjoy going to this store because you can find Brand name items for a lot lower than you can anywhere else.

If you are in the store on the right day and the right time there are some really awesome price deals to be found, but I have found their prices on most items to be way over priced. I would think that a liquidator store would have liquidator prices, but many, if not most, items cost just barely below retail, and in some cases above retail prices.

Super cool. Great prices. Quick checkout. All around a good experience. It is every college kids dream. They literally have everything from clothes and electronics to power tools! Definitely worth at least one visit. I want to go back again.

Trying to shop in the clothes section with my 5 year old when their security stopped my husband for being someone who was banned from the store for shoplifting. He has never shoplifted in his life. He tried to tell him it was the wrong person but the guy kept insisting it was him. Took his license in the back and came back and told him he looked just like the guy but it really wasnt him. Duh? No apology or anything. Super unprofessional, especially since we used to shop there regularly. Not anymore. Shame on you NPS. Own your mistakes and apologize.

They had an outdoor tent sale where you can fill a bucket for $10, how ever you can, as long as nothing is falling out. We got so much stuff crammed into it and above. Good deal! Today, 8/20/20, the bucket was only $5!

If you went to NPS in the 1st few months, it is totally worth it giving it another try. I was comparing it to the salt Lake store and was disappointed at the very beginning but went again tonight and a few weeks ago and have been really impressed and happy to see better discounts throughout the store. There was tons of sales everywhere and really great deals.

The one in Salt Lake is so much better. Better prices. I was able to get a lot of the stuff cheaper at Walmart or Home Depot. So buyer beware and check the prices because you might not be getting a great deal.

Spent 14 bucks. Got a thermos, espresso kettle, mouth wash, the movies Due Date and Horrible Bosses. Well worth the visit! Will be enjoying the great spending opportunities at NPS again🤙🏻

I don’t know how people can rate this place badly... you should know coming into this place it’s no Walmart or Target...It’s kind of like treasure hunting.You have to dig through all the average/okay-ish priced items to find a steal!My husband and I love to come here and look for good deals.Tonight I found a baby item for $2 where at Target I’d typically spend around $8-$10 for it. It wasn’t expired or anything, just had a dented box.My favorite find of the evening was a 6 pack of assorted, unopened holiday Wallflower Refill Bulbs from Bath and Body Works for $7 total! They aren’t even old, they are from this past holiday.Considering a single bulb at Bath and Body costs $7.50 and I got 6 for $7 tonight, I’d say it was a successful and fun shopping trip to NPS!

They had decent prices. Some stuff had additional marked down prices. large selections an inventory changes frequently so its it good place to stop by every two or three weeks. There is a room in the back where you can load up buckets for one price.

They have a lot of items. The problem is that everything is WAY overpriced. There were many things that were actually MORE than retail. I was looking on my phone at the prices at other stores in the area while I looked around. I could go over to Walmart and get a lot of it brand new for less. And yes, I do mean the same make and model of items. Im not sure how they plan on staying in business after the hype dies down. I overheard a salesman trying to give a customer information, and he had no clue what he was talking about. He was giving completely incorrect info. I was hoping to be impressed, and ended up not wanting to ever come back. What a shame...Update since the response from NPS:When someone compares your items to brand new items at other retailers, they are referring to retailers at which you would also be getting the manufacturer warranty with your item. You do not get that when buying your item (whether unopened, or not) from a liquidator. Paying anywhere near the retail price from a liquidator would be madness since your item is no longer backed by the manufacturer. Also, as you didnt address misinformation spread by your employees, I sincerely hope that they get better training. They arent experts, but if they dont know something, maybe just point someone in the right direction as to where to find the correct information.

For the most part you can find good prices. Be mindful if the experiation dates if you get food. Sometimes they are only a few weeks or days from expiring. Good selection of clothes at a decent discount when they are on sell.

An unusual shopping experience. This place is kind of like a mix between a thrift store and Harbor Freight. As far as I can tell, they purchase store return pallets and resell the merchandise. The return policy is seven days except for electronics. There were some good prices on some things, others are clearly full retail. If you have several hours to comb through the shelves, Im sure you could find some awesome deals. There was a definite swap meet feel to it, and the chaos that accompanies it. Not an in and out shopping trip.

The prices were ok, most boxed grocery items were not a whole lot less than youd find in a typical grocery store. I caught a few good finds like hearty Aspen Mills bread 3 days before its expiration for $1.59/ loaf. Some 20 oz soda bottles 25¢ each and some full size bags of tortilla chips 2/$1. The line at checkout was long for the middle of the day on a Friday. I was a little disappointed to not see a refrigerated food section like they have in SLC.

They have lots of great things here. Its like a Walmart/Goodwill mix. They have a lot of off brand clothes but some original good stuff. They have lots of accessories, bedding, towels, shoes, a whole lot of girl clothing. I didnt see all of it, but they also have a decent amount of food. A great place if youre wanting to buy some food storage/non perishable foods. They had tiny freezers of ice cream, milk and some spices. Lots of toilet paper is sold here. They have a lot of Pibb soda and Fresca and Diet Coke. Seems pretty good to me. Hay personas que hablan español si se necesita la ayuda. This place rocks!
