I called to ask for some help regarding Lithium Ion Batteries. I was sent to a sales person who was very short with me. He was arrogant and seemed like he did not want to waste his time with me. If I was not already a battery expert he did not want to condescend to help me learn. Very disrespectful and cocky attitude for a business who depends on customers and sales.

**Update 7 Months Later (Nov 2018)Installed, and works beautifully! Even when my fridge runs the 2nd battery dead, my rig starts every time! No issues with winching while the truck is running (i.e. the isolator closed and connecting both batteries)--see new pic for funzies. I highly recommend this isolator, especially for the price! When I get a new truck, Ill be running a dual batt setup and using this isolator again.**Original PostI am putting together a dual battery system for my 4Runner, and as I learned more about the components, I began to develop more specific questions than can usually be found on typical FAQ pages. Thus, having previously come across this company and their very affordable battery isolator--and, more importantly, the very clear and thorough product information page--I decided to give them a call. The gentleman I spoke with, Matt, was very knowledgeable on the product, and answered my specific questions about things like the effects of a winching load potentially drawing power through and around the isolator, and exactly how it switches from isolating to dual-charging. I will update this review once I actually get it all working, but so far I have no expectations that the battery isolator will not work as advertised.

Excellent articles on this site with original research describing how lithium ion batteries work. After pouring over many many sites that tend to mimic each other it was nice to find some science behind the explanations. I understand the technology now in a deeper way.

Ordered a 12v to 5V converter from powerstream. They shipped it out to me and the unit I received was dead on arrival. I showed pictures of a voltmeter connected to it showing no voltage across the thing and they finally agreed on sending me another one. They told me to send the defective unit back (AT MY EXPENSE!?), which I did, and provided a tracking number to them. At this point in time, they sent me a new unit. The new unit did work (although not as well as I would have liked, it was not isolated as advertised and was still getting feedback but I didnt want to deal with their poor customer service again). Now that being said, all I did was ask to be reimbursed for the return shipping of the defective item. They said they would reimburse me, and despite several emails that I have sent them about it, they still have not done so. They have quality control problems and poor customer service. I literally paid for shipping twice and it ended up taking forever to get an item that works. I do not recommend ordering from them.****UPDATE: In light of the refund and the response from the company rep indicating that they have taken my feedback into account, I have adjusted my rating. Thank you and I do appreciate it.

Very informative website. All info is offered for free although I can see there was actually a lot of effort put into obtaining it. I can see they are really passionate about what their doing.

These guys have technical expertise to help you spec the perfect product. I needed a charger to charge my 48 volt battery bank and could not diffretiate from the several products offered online. (I am not an engineer) They provided me with several options to choose from, and thoroughly explained the benefits and downfalls of each the products. Unlike other web-based platform, which are focused on selling off-the-shelf items, they provided me with a custom solution that best fit my application.-AM

Prices are terrific and they have products in stock that no-body else has, particularly lithium polymer batteries. Product arrives nicely packaged and e-mail communication is great.

Batteries Plus sent me over here to check my power supply. The sales engineer, Matt, was super helpful, very knowledgeable. He was more interested in helping me and solving my problem than making money, which I really appreciated. He showed me around, they have a lot going on, with plastic injection molding, batteries, chargers, power supplies, and engineering. He checked my power supply, showed me what was wrong and got me a new one. I’ll be back.

Even though it turned out that their products would not solve my situation with an Remote Controlled Chinese bait boat which required a Lithium Ion battery of 12 volt power with between 10-20ah. Turns out that these types of batteries are ONLY produced and sold in China! And customs laws say that these batteries can not be sold alone, but only with the product they are intended to be used with. Shipped unplugged and in a separate packaging compartment. Crazy? Yep, I think so. Yet again China is doing something we here in the USA are too afraid to do, or too lazy to do.Point of this review is to let anyone reading about Powerstream company can feel secure that even if you buy their product thinking it might solve your power problems. You can let the company know what youve learned about their product in your situation and you will get a quick and informative response. In my case, the CEO himself thought it a challenge to figure out how his company might be able to help me. Sadly, it was a situation as Ive already written that has been rigged by the Chinese to have the ONLY solution.If you ever need high-end portable electric power, or whatever else this company produces. I would strongly recommend writing/calling them first, tell them your situation and power requirements. Then just sit back and let these experts resolve your power requirements.

Poor customer service and horrible return policy. Would advise you to investigate these prior to ordering. 1 out of 2 units ordered worked out of the box. Customer must pay shipping to return faulty items!? Units were inexpensive so if it is worth it to you, take the gamble and roll the dice...

Bought a solenoid to tie two batteries together for charging, but the little controller for it got so hot that it started smoking. I had to disconnect and bypass it. The solenoid gets pretty hot as well but thats to be expected somewhat. I need to just move up to a latching relay and call it good I guess. Wont buy anything here again.

I contacted this company to purchase one of their products to address an issue I had with my battery bank. After talking with Mark he helped me diagnose my problem even though that meant I no longer needed to purchase their product. They will go as far as losing a sale if it means helping someone out; I love that.

I have had continually excellent experiences dealing with Powerstream! I purchased a surplus Raman spectroscopy unit and had some problems with the laser unit and fiber optics, and I got responses from the CEO within a day. He was extremely helpful, and insisted on sending replacement parts at no extra cost. Highly recommended!

We have been purchasing these Double-C sonde batteries over the last couple of years and have had great success with the batteries typically lasting over a month.

I ordered a special power/transformer cable from Mark and upon arrival found it would not fit as it should...I wrote to Mark and explained the problem to him...The cause was not his fault but even so he offered to ship me a conversion kit at no charge to me...Thats what I call service !!!

Negative experience. Moved forward to purchase a 24vac input/24vac output UPS which utilizes a remote battery(not included). Bought the battery from another website and while waiting for UPS, had to make multiple phone calls. Powerstream determined that they couldnt engineer/produce the product yet it is still on the website--including a price!Very frustrating when there is no real knowledge of a product offering and no follow up or response to an order--not to mention misinformation on the website.

Fast shipping and the products worked out great. Mark, the owner, is especially knowledgeable and helpful.
