I was contacted by Jordan and his team while I was on deployment and thinking about selling one of my cars. I explained the situation and they waited patiently until I was back home and ready to take it in no hassle or rush. I was greeted by Jordan and he was very friendly, professional, courteous, and knowledgeable! 11/10 would recommend him for any dealership needs ! This is the second review but same one. I wrote a review early this morning but removed from someone.I went to the dealership for an oil change at 3pm on Wednesday. They done an oil change on my car very quickly. I didnt expect my car to come out quickly but the advisor didnt call me for over 30 minutes. I went to the advisors desk and asked if it was over. He said it was over, I paid and left the dealer. That night I went to sleep without even knowing the oil was leaking. I woke up the next afternoon and I went to work. When I came back home, parked and got off then i realized there was a big water stain under the wheel, so I checked it and it was oil.(oil that leaked on Wednesday night). I wonder if they changed engine oil or if the O-rings is inserted. I turned the screw 4 times clockwise to lock it. Even after wiping my new driveway in front of my house, the oil marks are still remained. I am worried about whether the car can be driven normally. I wonder if this was a mistake or intentional. Others, please check it out as soon as you get your car key back. If you dont want to get accident. Thank you Lucas!!!

Have been looking for a small first car for my daughter and with the small inventory out there due to the pandemic had to look multiple places. Compared to other dealers we found our experience at McCarthy Morse Chevy very refreshing. James M. is probably the best salesmen I’ve ever dealt with. Most dealerships push the “aggressive” salesmen agenda and as a customer it’s what makes buying cars a terrible experience. James had a much more friendly and helpful demeanor above all and it’s something I really hadn’t experienced in the few vehicles I’ve purchased. After going down the metcalf strip of dealers I eventually came back and happily gave my business to James. The wrong salesman would have changed my mind that day pretty quick as I told myself at the start of my search that I wouldn’t be getting a car if it wasn’t the perfect circumstances. Dont bother scheduling an appointment for service and expect to recieve your vehicle until the evening. Dropped the car off with a scheduled appointment for a simple oil change at 9am, called to see if it was done 3 times (leaving a voicemail) to see if it was done. 6 hours later I just showed up and they hadnt even started on it yet! I was the 3rd car there. Thats a joke for service! And when I asked to just have the car back because I had to go get my kids from school they tried to argue that they just put in as a priority service trying to get me to stay. They took there time getting my car from the back where they obviously parked there for an end of day job. Ridiculous.

We had been looking for a Traverse for months. After looking at a few websites we came across the website for McCarthy-Morse Chevrolet. We made the drive over there to check out what they had. As soon as we were out of our vehicle, Josue was there to see how he could help! Mentioned we were looking for a Traverse and he pointed out the only one they had. He was knowledgeable about the vehicle and pointed out the features available on that model. Took it for a test drive and fell in love! I am referring to the repair to my 2000 Chevy pickup. The representatives gave a prompt price quote for the work required and the timeframe in which to get the work done. No surprises at all. I had dash lights, fuel pump/gauge, and radio/cd player needing repairs. The dash lights were fixed (except a check engine soon light now is always on). The fuel pump/gauge appears to be working as expected. The cd player and the radio sound good but the cd player still does not eject the cds and is not working as hoped.

My husband and I just bought out 2015 Chevy traverse here. Jonathan Ferkel was our sales rep and great to work with. He was very accommodating to our work schedules when trying to get there at the same time as well as having our children with us both times we went. He even let us try out the car seats in it to see how they fit and sat with our our 3 yr old so patiently so we could focus on looking at the car. I highly recommend if you are looking for a no nonsense and very helpful car buying experience!

I bought my 2016 Impala here after an accident. Very accommodating dealer. Worked at Gm and soon transferred out if state. I passed my car to my son who lives in Independence, MO. He had a problem with a water leak in the trunk. It was under warranty and went 3 times to a different dealer who never fixed the problem. Dug out my old paperwork from purchase, and sent my son to you to hopefully fix it right. Just talked to him, and he said it looks brand new. Thanks for being there for my son when mom couldnt be!

Went in to trade a vehicle, told the guy what I wanted for my trade and what I was comfortable paying for the old used vehicle I was looking at. I knew how much I could get for my trade but he comes back with $1500 less than what I asked for and the same sticker price they had on the vehicle. These guys will nickel and dime the heck out of you and then tell you you wont get what you are asking for your trade anywhere and continue to insist this as you walk out the door. guess what? I got $15k for my trade the next day at a different dealership, exactly what I asked for. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. Dont waste your time and save yourself the headache, find another place to do business.

Took my car for service and they found a nail in the tire - so unable to easily patch it up. Despite having to go get a new tire about 30min away just for me, the guys purposely made the trip and got everything installed in less than 4h. They did exactly what I hoped: found the problem, offered me the different options and found out a way to fix it for me within my timeframe. I will definitely be coming back for service in the future!

Awesome dealership! Super nice and responsive to our needs. I placed a custom order for a 2020 Silverado Trail Boss LT and everything was perfect. My out the door price was cheaper than I expected. Erik Fish is extremely knowledgeable about Chevy vehicles and easy to work with.Update 06/13/2020 - This was our second vehicle we purchased from McCarthy-Morse and from Erik Fish. Once we told Erik that we were interested in a 2021 Chevy Trailblazer and what options we wanted, he located the vehicle and made sure it was available to test drive. The buying process could not have been smoother. We got a fair price for our trade in and they honored GM Military pricing. Happy to say that we are now a Chevy family and both of them came from McCarthy-Morse.

Have never bought a vechile here but have always had them serviced here. Bill in service is a straight-shooter. No bs or games. He will get you fixed quickly, and doesnt beat around the bush. Went in to buy a vehicle. They looked over my vehicle for a trade in. They returned and stated my sunroof was broken. I literally just used my sunroof hours before. My sunroof was operating perfectly fine! I asked to speak with a manager and he would not even come outside to talk with me. I understand it’s my word against theirs. But I also understand I would not be going out of my way and wasting my time filing a claim. This was so typically of a car dealership. This is way they have such terrible reputations. I will never recommend anyone to go there! Do not buy a car from Eric Fisher.Filled a claim with the better business bureau.

Will not ever use service department again! Charged me for a service I did not approve, did a recall fix without informing us and cracked dash while doing so. To top it off they had it done before the end of the day and didnt contact me then lied about calling me when I have my call log to show they didnt call.

My experiences with buying the car was great. Jordan and Brendan were super helpful. The repair department is another story. My daughters car broke down two days after buying it. We brought it in and were told no one could find anything wrong with it. Magically, it worked again. The same exact problem occurred again two months later. Most of it was covered by warranty (fuel pump) except some odds and ends which equaled $600. We take it home. She leaves the next day for college and now her gas gauge doesnt work. I call and they say I need to bring it back in. Quite frankly, when a new problem occurs after a repair, I get suspicious..Each time I call, I am talked down to as if I cant possibly understand anything since I am a female. Not happy. I bought two cars and spent a lot of money, and I dont like getting the runaround from.the service department.

Brought my car in for an oil change and for them to look at a slow leak in my tire. They did “find” the leak and “fixed” it. They did not fix it and they also broke my tire sensor. Brought my car back in for them to fix the sensor and they said they didn’t break it to begin with and that it was broke when it came in, I call BS. I asked how it broke and they gave me a BS answer. I brought my car back for them to fix it and they charged me full price for something they broke. Just because I am a women they want to take full advantage of my lack of “knowledge” of cars, when in fact I knew exactly what they did. I don’t suggest this place for any single female. And if you are single bring a guy along so you don’t get ripped off!

Staff were very friendly and respectful, made the process as quick and easy as possible. They answered all of our questions and immediately complied with our requests to have written summaries of the warranty and services that came with our Chevy certified used car. Staff prioritized transparency in the car sale process and made me feel comfortable that there was no fine print or conditions to the sale that I wasnt aware of. I couldnt be happier with McCarthy-Morse Chevrolet and Bill Higgins. We were on vacation in KC when our transmission went out. McCarthy-Morse was able to get us in right away the next day. They told us the situation and that it would be a week to get it repaired because of COVID-19 delays in parts. Now we needed a car, Bill Higgins explained they had none at the dealership but could check with enterprise. It was a chaotic day, but Bill kept checking back with enterprise to make sure we had a car to use. In the weeks to come Bill kept us on what was going on. Finally the car was fixed and it drove back to Des Moines just fine. We were out-of-towners, and in the bigger city it would not have been a surprise if the just left us be and not help out, BUT that was not the case. Big thanks to Bill for helping out calming us down and getting a car for us. I was impressed by the lengths McCarthy-Morse Chevrolet went to to help us out. THANK YOU..

Purchased a non-GM vehicle a month ago. Salesman didnt have much knowledge on the vehicle, but thats not the end of the world. As we move into the purchasing portion, they are completely not listening to me in terms of what I want to pay for the vehicle. I have no problem with that - if we cant meet in the middle then we cant, and I can continue my search elsewhere. They also tell me that my sunroof (which was open when I pulled up, no longer functions). Well after some back and forth, we agree on a number. When I get back to finance, I point out that the number hes showing is not the number I agreed to w/sales. He then tells me its shown that way due to dealer fees (which wasnt explained at all). Proceeded through the process and thought I got cheated, however the next day things went crazy and I wasnt able to even think about the vehicle for another month. When I got back home, I open my dealer paperwork from McM, and sure enough, the purchase price is shown for that incorrect number that I pointed out. I figure they just got that much extra out of me. I dont think I will o back to this dealer, as my experience with them was not a great one at all (aside from me loving my new vehicle).

Purchased a used Honda civic from them a year ago. I was annoyed that thr advertised price was 2k less than what they tried to charge me, thry said thats because most people trade in a car (and everyones car apparently is only worth 2k....). That immediately took it out of my budget and was over the KBB value. I did haggle down to get that 2k off. After the test ride I was immediately rushed inside, probably so I couldnt further inspect the car, which I take blame for not doing. Of course the paperwork for the car came back fine and thry allegedly fixed it up so it was in great shape. I did not take them up on the warranty as the things I asked about were not covered. Just a few mos after purchase I noticed I was filling up my tires weekly with air. Turns our the valve stems were cracked and the rims were so badly corroded it wasnt holding air. Not long after that had to get the oil pan replaced again because of severe corrosion. I keep my car in the garage and barely drive . If I had paid less foe this car I wouldnt be as mad but to sell it at thr top KBB value like its in great shape does not sit well with me. I would not buy again from this dealer and I have told several people to not do business here.

Salesman pulls around different car then apologizes for mix up saying car was transferred this morning but would let us know asap if not sold. Then proceeds to try and sell us on different vehicle. Advertised price on Autotrader was $2,000 lower than the price when we called about a car (after multiple discussions with multiple sales people). If you didnt have a car to trade, they were charging $2,000 more for the car. Shady sales tactics.

3 simple items I wanted to get done only got one got done, an oil change and then they didn’t check the tire pressure because it’s low. I bought the truck there and you installed the window shades and one is loose. But couldn’t fix it because I’d have to leave it all day to be diagnosed. The third thing is on the driver side side mirror indicator light will not come on when a car is next to me but had to leave it all day to be diagnosed.Now why wasn’t I informed of this when I made the appointment and was asked what needed to be done. I live in western Shawnee so fighting traffic to get there is a chore plus leaving it there all day to be diagnosed for two simple items is a waste of my time.The local family run garage is certified to do warranty work so I’ll be going there from now on

You will be penalized for bringing your own financing. The price of our car went up $3000 from the listed price on the website. We had half of the price in down payment and our financing arranged for the rest. Buyer beware. I would drive well out of my way to buy anywhere else.

UPDATE: paid for service got the car back, wife didnt even make it 20 miles before the car stalled out and now will not shift gears while driving and shifting between Park and Drive is a gut wrenching jolt of the car when its trying to shift. I highly recommend finding someone completely different then dealership. I have had multiple issues with all chevy dealerships with their own branded vehicles.Tyler from service for weeks claimed my wife was at fault for a late approval of replacing a transmission cooler with 2 coolant lines, that somehow parts disappeared within several hours of offer. Dealership had our vehicle for a total of 7 weeks. When going through approval my wife declined the transmission flush however approved the transmission coolant system. Several days later he called my wife back and coerced her into a $300 non needing work on a transmission flush. Due to the coercion my wife became confused with repairs being needed and done. Now I am stuck with paying an extra $300 dollars for a service I had refused approval to do until he told my wife it had to be done to have a proper fix and replacement of system.

Job #1 on my recent visit to McCarthy/Morse Chevrolet (2/23/21) was to trouble shoot the check engine light which came on recently. Noticed truck was rough idling at stoplights (in or out of gear). Technician found the #3 wire was not seated on the plug. He pushed it back on and took for a short test drive. No more misfires - job complete. My cost $150 labor! I find this amount to be quite ridiculous.****Especially since I had the truck into their shop back on 7/10/20. Check Engine Light at that time - Tech found a fouled plug on cylinder #1 which caused misfire/ rough running. We decided to replace all 8 plugs at that time, which made sense to me. Whos to say the technician at that time didnt get the plug wire properly seated on Cylinder #3 and the wire over the next few months worked itself loose from vibration and typical drive usage.

Eric and Mark did a great job of communicating during the nearly year long order process and delivery time line before the car was finally built and shipped. Eric even took the time to bring me to dealership the day my C8 arrived. The orientation Eric and Montana did for me the day I picked up the car was very helpful as well. The C8 has been better than I expected and is incredibly impressive in person. It’s so awesome that Chevrolet finally achieved Mr. Duntov’s dream of building a mid engine super car!

We tried to purchase a truck from this dealership. Our situation was unique in a way that I was abroad, and needed to assist my brother in purchasing a car under his name for the first time. We were ready to negotiate the price and tried to figure out what kind of deals we would qualify for, and talk finance. We wanted to take advantage of the trade-in deal they offered. However, the title of our trade-in car being under our parents names, who now resides abroad, we wanted to figure what we needed to do. We were willing to provide any kind of verification they would require to make this deal. However, the salesman Donald was not willing to work around our situation, called us sketchy, and was not willing to find ways to work with us. I didnt want to work with him anymore, so I hung up, called again, trying to work with a different salesperson in the dealership. The new salesperson asked Did you just talk to Donald? Yeah, were not interested. Then hung up on me. I tried to talk to a manager, and called again. The person who received the the call refused to connect us to a manager and hung up on me again.I have never seen a dealership this unprofessional and unwilling to make a sale. I literally called up another dealership right after this, and put my down payment and signed the contract for the truck the next hour. I would avoid this dealership at all cost.

Typical dealership looking to sell a vehicle and could care less about the customer. I asked about damage to the vehicle and they told me there were only two small dings. When I got there to look at it I found multiple dents all over and one big one. The vehicle was not cleaned well at all. When I turned down gap insurance and extended warranty the tone of the finance guy changed and he was just in a hurry to get us out of there. Would not recommend and won’t be back

Horrible customer service. Took in my mom’s car for a recall and at that time her car was in driving condition when we picked it up it car died right outside the dealership multiple times. They refused to diagnose it unless we paid 150. My husband is a mechanic and the only reason we took the car there was for the recall. If we had known they would ruin the car we would have just had my husband fix it instead. Let’s just say we won’t be going here ever again.

In short, Ive come to expect much more from McCarthy Chevrolet and both their sales and service teams. When the service department told me my Air Conditioning Compressor was cracked and wasnt covered under my extended warranty I was upset to say the least. There was nothing mentioned about this issue in any of the previous 2 factory recalls. The service tech suggested contacting the Olathe branch as I decided to get my 15 Silverado serviced in Overland Park. I bought the extended 5 year/100K mile warranty that failed to pick this item up. Now Im learning that theres currently a half dozen class action lawsuits on this specific issue for Silverado 1500 models with faulty compressors that GM fixed in most models but not the Silverado. GM corporate offered only a report number. McCarthy has offered nothing. No loaner car. No possible trade-in. No person from management has responded to my request for a realistic solution after purchasing 3 vehicles from McCarthy the last 5 years. Besides, Im not sure Id really want to buy or trade in as their lot is full of used, marked up vehicles (possibly with faulty AC Compressors). Historically, I dont post on any type of social media but believe the response by McCarthy in this instance is unprofessional and Ill continue with updates as the issue gets resolved.

I did a trade in and absolutely love my new car. Matthew was my salesman and he had great customer service and was determined to find something that would be in my price range and that a great car fit. I didn’t feel peer pressure into getting anything that I didnt want. Happy that choose the right place to go to.

At the second oil consumption test, the car had no oil in the oilpan. I had to leave it at the dealership for engine rebuild. Mr Bill Higgins was very kind and helpful. He got me a loaner car midway thru the 8 days they worked on my car so that I did not have to pay the high fees for a rental car after the first 3 days. He also arranged for GM to pay $2,300 of the $3,400 repair bill. I am extremely grateful to Mr Higgins for all he did for me. Everyone at the McCarthyMorse Dealership was very pleasant, kind, and helpful. I got the car back and it is running well. Thank you to all involved.

I was able to schedule an appointment online and was later contacted by the dealership that the time was not actually available. I scheduled a different time with them over the phone. I came ten minutes early to my scheduled appointment and it took over two hours to get the oil changed and the tires rotated. There were only two people waiting and they were there just as long as I was. Dont schedule more than one appointment at a time if you cant get it done within an hour. I will not be going back there to get any work done.

Both Erik our salesman and Mike our finance guy at McCarthy-Morse was were awesome. They have some of the best prices you can find and gave us a fair value for our trade in. We have bought several new cars over the years and I can say this was the first time we actually had fun doing so. We will definitely be return customers. They understood that buying a new truck was major financial decision and they didn’t pressure us into anything. Definitely ask for Erik Fish and Mike Downs if you go in.

Friendly service, accepted a short notice appointment and turned the vehicle in less than an hour. However, whomever serviced my vehicle got oil all over the steering wheel and interior door. More care needs to be taken to protect the interior of the vehicle for oil and oily hand prints.
