Relief from the big box stores. ELECTRON ADDICT offers a unique shopping experiece...crowded with stuff from Stereos glory days. If you like Vintage Audio gear, you owe yourself a trip to this place!! Lee gives good, honest advice.
Looked all over town for a phono preamp. Found one here! Shopkeeper was helpful and charming! Looking forward to stopping in again. Its nice to meet a guy so interested in and dedicated to audio.
Lee is always a pleasure to deal with. I enjoy stopping in regularly to see what new items are available. The only place in town to get decent tubes. 6 stars if they would hire me to organize and clean the showroom.
Dropped off a sub in early March to simply have the capacitors replaced. Super easy job. They asked me to place it on the floor and theyd move it to a better place in the shop... Its mid-June and the sub hasnt moved. It is dirty and has other random equipment now stacked on it. I have stopped in 5 times and I get the same story... it should be ready in a day or so, we will call you right away. And we will move the unit to a better place and clean it up. Yeah... Im going to pick it up and do it myself. As they do not answer email or phone. Personally, I do not understand how they are in business. I also do not feel they have the capability to do the work. Incredibly let down and frustrated with them. Never will I do business with this place... also, the health department should pay them a visit. -20 stars in my book.Update.... the owner promised me that they would make it a priority and get it fixed. well, go the call finally and he said it was ready to go. I go to pick it up & asked if it was tested. He assured me that it was, then connected a cable to the line input and held it. Said see, there is a 60hs hum. I was in a hurry and left with it. Nope... doesnt work at all.negative 50 stars. Gonna go see about getting my money back.
No sure this is even a legit business or just a hoarding situation. Had my audio equipment for months and still not repaired. Ordered simple part. Ordered wrong part. Re-ordered part. Part still not in. Reclaimed my equipment before it became part of the hoarding collection. Never answer the phone or return any left messages. Use this business at your own risk. Extremely disappointed . Minus 5 stars
One star because I cant choose no (or negative) stars. The place is dump and the guy working there (owner?) has to be some kind of hoarder. Avoid at all costs.
Good place to get your retro stereo equipment repaired!
Its taken almost a year to fix my power amp. In fact I am still waiting. Plus they never, ever answer there phone or respond back on emails. They know electronics but not to aggressive on repairs. This post is for my cousin, he is the one that is dealing with this issue and the one that really posted it.
Loved this place. Very happy with my purchase. Simply congested with amps speakers tuners and more. Knowledgeable friendly staff. Watch your step. I meant it when I said congested.
If youre into vintage audio and you havent been here, definitely swing in. Lee has all kinds of goodies in his shop for sale, as well as providing top notch repair services. The shop is a little cramped, but dont let that put you off. Well worth the trip to Papillion.
Great place for vintage audio gear, no cheap gear here so plan on bringing $100 or more. The owner is great to talk to and experienced. I gave it 4-stars because the store needs two things: price tags and product organization.
I have been extremely satisfied in my dealings with Lee and his staff at Electron Addict. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, and the anthithesis of hard sell . Based on their recommendation, I had them re-cap two pairs of 40-year-old loudspeakers. I was able to observe the process and actually witnessed the difference the between the original and re-capped versions firsthand. I also purchased a reconditioned 70s era integrated amplifier from them to complete my system (again, after a rigorous audition in their storefront). Their services and equipment were very reasonably priced (based on my research). Electron Addict breathed life into my neglected old school hi-fi stereo system and I couldnt be more pleased -- such an improvement over the compressed and relatively lifeless audio standard currently accepted in the name of convenience. If youre thinking of taking the plunge back to hi-fi, or breathe life into your vintage system, do yourself a service and make your first step a visit to Electron Addict.
This is a great place as well as a great resource for everyone who loves and appreciates great sound. Its like a candy store for old guys and gals, but there are plenty of young people coming around to understanding that the easiest way to get music isnt likely the best. When I wandered in and heard the sounds I remembered from the 60s, 70s I knew I had to go vintage. Lee and his team can and will share their common knowledge with you and help you make the right decision. The first 70s integrated amp they recommended and then rebuilt for me is amazing and cost no more than something from a big box store. Highly recommended. Vintage Audio is happening, get on board!
Hands down the best place to get all of your electronic repairs done. Honest people make all the difference.
Lee is awesome
Stopped in with some questions and these guys were able to help!! Very friendly service, thank you
Very dissatisfied! Theyve had a piece of my stereo for almost two years and Everytime Ive tried to call and give them my receipt number they tell me they will call me back right away and never do. Plus Ive gone into the store 4 times to check on my stuff and they cannot find my property due to how unorganized they are. Will not be going back to this place once they finally give me my property back.
Im warning you, dont take anything there. This place has to be the poorest run business Ive ever seen. Be warned.
Great store if you are looking for tubes and vintage audio equipment. Only downside is that it needs price tags and organization.
Great staff, amazing expertise and fair prices.
Great service and great equipment.
A well-kept secret when it come to vintage audio...
