Dr. Gee is very thorough, meticulous and compassionate. A very competent doctor. The optical shop staff is also excellent. The front office staff is friendly and efficient. I have been to this place for years and I highly recommend it.

Ive been going to Pasadena Optometry Center for over three years now. Dr. Elizabeth Snowden is my Optician there and I think she is FANTASTIC!!Not only is she very skilled in her profession, she is very thorough with her exams, patient and she listens to the concerns of her patients. And I really love that not only does she use the new technology to check your eyes, but she also uses old school instruments which are even more in depth.The center also has the retina scan machine, for looking deep into the eye and seeing your retina, which I HIGHLY recommend to everyone to get once a year because it can see possible health issues that can be treated or prevented when caught early.Im giving a 4-star rating because I wish they had a larger selection of eye glass & sun glass frames to choose from.This is a one-stop optometry center filled with very skilled staff. You will be glad to be one of their patients!

It was the best experience Ive ever had with an optometry. Comprehensive checkings and right to the point recommendations without unnecessary ads. The disinfectance before using any tool is thorough and the doctor would wash her hands every time theres a need to get close your eyes. Definitely recommend it!

My family and I have been going to Pasadena Optometry Center for years. This was my first visit since the pandemic started and I was very pleased with their biocontainment procedure. I felt like the customers and staff were safe.I appreciate this office because they do not push procedures that you dont need. Yet they are very thorough if you have a concern.

This was a really great experience. I’ve been going to a neighboring optometrist for 6 years and switched because they were overcharging - I wish I had made this choice 6 years ago! What a neat place Pasadena Optometry Center is. They have really intriguing art all over the place, and their optometrist is really great about answering questions in a relaxed and not-rushed manner. I appreciate how they explained everything they did. I had a very pleasant time, and got the prescription I needed quickly, easily, and affordably.

I really hate leaving a bad review, especially amongst so many good reviews but my experience didnt feel the way it has with many other doctors Ive been to in my life.It just didnt feel very welcoming. The first girl that took me back, I was trying to have small talk with her and she just wasnt having it. I dont see at all in my left eye. I noted that when I called in to make my appt. She kept asking me to do stuff with my left eye, which was uncomfortable.When the doctor came in, he spent an insane amount of time on his tablet. It was just uncomfortable silence. He seemed to not be aware of my condition, as if the staff didnt tell him when I called in, even though that was a major point for me. I will say, he did answer my questions very thoroughly so I appreciated that.When he walked me over to the Optician, he didnt even say good-bye, nice to meet you. Nothing. Just walked off.The Optician didnt let me pick out any frames (I guess that could be a Covid thing) but Im picky and would have liked to look myself.I dunno. I just didnt feel comfortable. Interestingly enough, I went to a new dentist right after this appt and it was a night and day experience, confirming my discomfort was legit.

Everything was great till I was with the lady, that was to show me the frames. She was the last encounter with the center. The Dr, asked her to show me frames, she did acknowledge the Dr, but continued putting frames on racks, as if I was not there, she showed me glasses, i asked her if she could tighten my existing glasses, went away and came back about 10 mins later, she has no customer service skills.

Super professional people! The lady who checked me in, did my preliminary eye tests and escorted me to my room was very sweet, efficient and professional. I then saw Dr. Van Woerkom who took his time with me, explained everything to me to the gnittiest detail, answered all of my questions and more, and was incredibly professional as well. Even though I just came in for my annual appointment, all of my concerns were addressed and I left feeling like it was completely worth my time (I say this because some annual visits can sometimes feel rushed and if nothing’s terribly wrong with you and you’re healthy it can sometimes feel pointless, but this was not the case). Plus the center is gorgeous with all of their artwork which I find meaningful and thoughtful. My appointment last year with Dr. Snowden was also a wonderful experience, too! I would highly recommend this place!

It was reassuring today when I arrived for my annual eye exam to see how careful Dr. Van Woerkom and his staff were about following COVID protocol. I also appreciated how thorough, as always, my examination was, and that my last years prescriptions were still good for another year.

The office staff is friendly, and the restroom is clean. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. I did not wait long before an office staff called me back. The doctor was informative, friendly, and professional. He answered questions and did a thorough exam using multiple tests. The doctor also did a great job explaining various changes that have taken place with my eyes. There is free parking available on the street; otherwise, patients will be required to pay to park in the lot.

I visited Pasadena Optometry Center due to my left eye allergy. The treatment I received was very professional. They are being responsible in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene with the ongoing Covid19 situation. Dr. Snowden is phenomenal in handling her patients. Very soft spoken and keen on answering all the questions I had. With her prescribed medicine, my allergy was cured within couple of days. Would highly recommend this place.

From beginning to the end, highly highly satisfied!!! It’s been hard to work from home with my deteriorated vision so I decided to visit this ofc for the first time. They were able to find me an opening the next day due to someone’s cancellation! I appreciated them for looking for an earlier possible date to accommodate my needs.The office was very clean and spacious enough with limited amount of people inside for social distancing. They disinfected all the equipments before I had to use them.Dr Snowden was very kind, thorough, understanding and considerate. She kindly explained everything during and after the exams and told me what to look out for as a precaution. Haven’t had any doctors who took time for precautions — which I think is very important!Dr Gee also made time to ensure I got an additional exam I needed during my appointment, so I didn’t have to come back for another appointment.Everyone else in the office was very attentive, willing to take an extra step to ensure I have my needs met. I didn’t feel pressured and felt supported and informed throughout the process.Overall, I truly felt cared for as a patient and truly appreciate the transparency, thoroughness, and patient-centered environment. I made and appointment for an eye exam and I also needed some new glasses. The staff was very friendly when I arrived and I didnt have wait long for my exam. Dr Gee is the best!! Shes really friendly and attentive. She made me feel very comfortable and took the time to explain my test results. I was able to pick out some new frames and didnt have any issues at all. They said they would contact me as soon as my glasses came in. I was in and out in just one hour. I highly recommend this place!

The visit was accurate, the doctor was very prepared and the tech they use saved me from few hours of pupils dilation. Good job. They did not insist on using their glass shop and they wrote my pupillary distance on the upon request. Very honest. Not really a downside: such measure (pupillary distance) was not taken electronically so I’ll have to wait for my glasses to come in to assert the accuracy; I trust the doc knew what she was doing.

I have been seeing Dr. Van Woerkom for several years and appreciate the thorough testing and tracking of my eye health and visual acuity from one year to the next. Ive been going here for years! Love the staff and the care I receive from everyone there! Although they changed hands a few years ago, they remain consistent in their quality products and patient care!

I have gone to the eye doctor here for over 15 years. The exam is always thorough, the staff is always courteous, they send gentle reminders and not obnoxious reminders, they work well with the insurance, the glasses they produce are outstanding, and I would recommend this center to anyone. Most recently, I had to cancel my appointment due to jury duty. They were entirely accommodating about the canceled appointment and then phoned me on Saturday to tell me there was a cancellation and fit me in while I was away from jury duty. This is really the kind of doctor office anyone would want to work with for eye care.

They make the patients wait unnecessarily. Sounds cliche but if there was a negative I would give that to them. The office is cold and stoic as are the employees. Horrible service

Everyone is polite and welcoming. The location itself is always calm. I know that seems like a weird detail to include for an optometry center, but I stopped going to a nearby optometry place because it was always a ZOO with waits that felt endless. I love this place.

I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 7. Had my first appointment with Dr. Snowden and she is by far the best optometrist I’ve had. Not only is she kind, thoughtful, and takes her time but it was wonderful that she clearly explained everything she did, all of the tests, what exactly she was doing and why, as well as delving into the anatomy of the eye. This really helped me understand how my eyes work (and how they don’t and why), plus she addressed future health and things I need to be aware of.

Overall great experience! Everyone was helpful, professional, and efficient. I really appreciated the attention to detail during my examination as well as the thorough discussion I had with Van Woerkom. I cant see myself going anywhere else for vision care.

I had my eye exam two month ago. The doctor spend adequate time with me and answered all my questions and concerns. Their equipment is brand new and I did not feel any discomfort during or after the exam. I had a pleasant and satisfying experience but I lost my prescription shortly after. When I called to get a new one, they could not find my record which made me complain. Within hours, the office reached out to me to clarify the situation and send my prescription to my optometrist. These doctors care about their patients and thus I changed my initial review and I would highly recommend this center.
