My wife and I went to Dots Cupcakes to buy some delicious cupcakes they have assorted flavors of cupcakes they all good.

Lovely cupcake shop. This is the best cupcake shop in pasadena (trust me i’ve tried them all). Their strawberry cupcake is my favorite and I get one whenever in old town!

Terrible customer service 🙁 when I pointed at cupcakes I wanted, the lady said those are preorders. So those that I saw online that I wanted to purchase, I couldn’t buy. I specifically wanted Valentine cupcakes that I saw online. I even pointed at them because they have them visible there behind the counters, but the lady working there treated me like I’m not welcome to their club. She said I can’t buy those, that I have to order them online. I asked if I could order them online to get them the same day, she said there were no more slots for the day. I was there before 10:00 a.m. 😳 It was supposed to be a gift to a friend, thinking they are extra special. But I realized cupcakes from the grocery stores are better tasting. Not worth it at all. I actually had to apologize to my friend for the bad-tasting gift. Never going back!!

I am a fan of Dots cupcakes. Having said that, they need to now focus on their customer service. Kate, the cashier, needs to CALM DOWN and work on her attitude. I know that this is Valentines Day weekend, and they had a long line of customers patiently waiting outside, but this is not the time to be rude to customers. Kate is not friendly, not courteous, not welcoming. Instead, Kate was grumpy, snapped to customers, and to make matters worse, she is very messy in packaging orders. The bag that Kate placed my boxes of cupcakes was covered with sticky cupcake icing on the outside! She didnt seem to care. So I kindly asked for napkins. She slapped the napkins on the counter! So rude! Momma Dots would NEVER treat her customers like that!

I am thrilled to have a Dots close to us now. The new cafe serves many lunch options. The food is fresh and high quality. The customer service is always friendly! This cafe is family friendly and the kids love the mac and cheese and a cupcake for dessert.

While Im not personally a fan of cupcakes, I agree with my wife that dots makes the moistest, smoothest and most flavorful cupcakes in Los Angeles.Only four stars, however - the service is hit or miss. There is a good chance you may be treated by the staff as if you are an annoyance for daring to enter their shop

Dots have some of the best cupcakes in Old Pasadena. Both locations are great. I like the Arroyo Blvd location better because you can find parking easily on street or there is also free parking at Pasadena Inn. My favorite flavors are Fleur de Sel, Chocolate Mint and bakers choice.

Hands down the best place in Los Angeles to get cupcakes from. I always order a dozen. Their Dulce de Leche cupcake is absolutely perfect.

We purchased 18 mini cupcakes for my daughters birthday party. The young lady at the counter stacked the small box of 6 mini cupcakes on top of the large box of a dozen mini cupcakes. When we got home and opened the large box, and the cupcakes were crushed/ damaged from being stacked. The box on top crushed the box on the bottom. You would think if they worked there they would know better not to stack boxes on top of each other.

I always here and my number one request with my family. We really love the sweets here and it was really delicious. We love the red velvet and vanilla chocolate cupcake and some more. Great place and good customer service.

The hazelnut creme cupcake was incredible! The filling inside tasted like Nutella and the flavor of the rest of the cupcake was spot on and not overpowering.My husband got the month chocolate one and it was fantastic too. The candies on top are like thin mints and give a nice crunch to the texture.Unfortunately my husband tripped on the step coming out of the store and dropped his cupcake on the ground, frosting first of course! He didnt want to ask for a new one since it was his own fault, but the dear sweet girl running the counter saw this and a couple minutes later, after she finished helping the girl after us, brought us another one on the house! We would definitely come again on our next visit ❤️

Best cupcake shop I have ever been to! My friends children love the Red Velvet and Cookies and Cream cupcakes! Bought them on my trips to Pasadena on a couple of occasions! Absolutely super friendly service and the girls remembered me from a previous trip to California!

You cant go wrong with Dots, their cupcakes are delicious. Ive been to a lot of place and I highly recommend this spot. Theyre always fresh and the cake is always moist. Follow their Instagram page, they usually post their random cupcakes for the day

Me and my wife were on vacation, last day about to head home. We got packed and were about to head out. I say hey! Lets go to that cupcake place around the corner for breakfast wife says OK!. We go over. We pick out our cupcakes and snag a cup of coffee while were at it. I suggest eating outside at their little tables in front. We start to head out. With coffee, creamers and sugar packets in one hand and my cupcake resting in the palm of my other I swing open the door with my foot and begin to head outside. I took my first step towards enjoying my last vacation breakfast with my wife, when Monday officially decided to kick in. The step I was about to firmly plant wasnt met by solid concrete but more air. I had forgotten the ledge at the doorway and it was to late to recover. With every bit of my pre-cafinated whit I clutched my coffee cup and held firm my cupcake. I can recover this! or so I thought... Monday in all its sadistic glory returned to finish the job. The door swings back and strikes me in the shoulder, hot liquid splashes on my face and chest. I, in all my pre-cafinated whit, move forward to counter the door strike. My grasp upon my cupcake was loosened. Like a kid who drops his ice cream cone, ice cream side down, my cupcake floats out of my palm and gently lands icing side down.By this time Im a little frazzled. I have realized my vacation is over and its probably time to head home. My wife encouraged me to go see if they will just give me a new cupcake. I, being accepting of my cupcake less future decline and sit down to attempt to at least enjoy my coffee. I salvage what I can of my now smashed and sand covered cupcake, when out of the door dashes the lady who sold us theses tastey treats! In her hand a Brand spakin new cupcake, same kind I had just ordered and watch be taken away from me by Monday. I saw you drop yours so I brought you another one she said with a smile! My wife awd and we both thanked her very much! Cupcake lady! Thanks for being the hero that fights Mondays with sweet treats!

My boyfriend broke up with me a few months ago and Ive been coming here at least once a week. Not good you guys, but hey, life is great for at least an hour! Half a dozen mini ones is my usual order. Although Sprinkles is my #1, its too far to get my weekly fix and i can just walk to dots. Fridays and Saturdays have the vanilla passionfruit flavor which i love. Also, this is the place to go instead of the old town store - much easier to park and less busy!

Stopped in to get some vanilla iced chocolate cupcakes for a birthday and decided to try a few of their other flavors that are made daily. Wow !! These cake are really good - lemon and dulce de leche were my favorites. The cakes are moist and the icing is uber yum - not overly heavy or sweet.

Some of the most moist chocolate cake out there comes from Dots. Fleur de sel (chocolate cupcake, chocolate frosting, caramel swirl, topped with a sprinkle of pink salt) and Mostess (like the Hostess chocolate cupcake but leaps and bounds better) are the best ones! With a glass of milk of course!
