I highly recommend Autosmith. My husband and I drove from Kansas to Pensacola and while in Pensacola our brakes started grinding. Our photographer referred us here and Bill was great to work with. He was very honest and charges fairly for labor and does not up charge one dime for parts. He told us exactly what was wrong and what would need to be done and got it fixed within a 24 hour time frame. I highly recommend Bill as a good honest mechanic is hard to find so it is encouraging to know there are still some around.

My wife and I were visiting from out-of-town on Thanksgiving weekend when the car started to overheat and the vehicular power shut down. We took it to another mechanic nearby who, though well-rated by past users, ended up charging us $450 for a broken valvue in the coolant line, upcharging us on parts significantly and not properly finishing the work. As soon as we got the car back to the place we were staying, the overheating started again and we had to have it towed yet again back to that shop. I called that shop over and over and left 3-4 messages but got no response. So I had a family member take me back to the shop to get the car and we took it to Bill: night and day difference. First, though it was a holiday (black Friday ) he took time to review the issue and perform a proper diagnosis while explaining and signaling to me physically all that he was doing and what the plausible problems could be. In the course of doing so, he found that while the valve had been replaced, it hadnt been properly reattached, and was able to, in short work, to complete the attachment /repair for a modest charge after nearly an hours work. Highly recommend him to locals as well as itinerants such as I was this last Thanksgiving. Great guy and very, very thorough.

Works on all my cars. I trust him to the fullest. Honest and dependable. He only does the work thats needed. Bill wont tell you that you need something if you dont really need it. Go see him for the best service in town!

It is unfortunate that a competent mechanic with a straight moral compass is considered so rare today. Autosmith is the example that all others should strive to emulate. Honest explanations, thorough work, and believe it or not...on time! You might find someone to do it cheaper, but certainly not better

I first became familiar with Bill at Autosmiths through his work on the Lutheran Family Services fleet of vehicles circa 2002 or 2003. Bill repairs all of the vehicles in our family, and hes never been anything but forthright and helpful to us. He does take the time to listen to us when we describe our car problems, and he tells us when a problem might have one or more causes that might need to be addressed. Hes been more than fair with his labor and parts charges, and when he knows of a shop that can do a specific repair better than he can, he sends us to that shop with no animosity. I am really going to regret leaving Pensacola because I dont know if Ill be able to find another mechanic that I respect and trust as much as Bill at Autosmith.

I found Autosmith after asking around for referrals and I’m so glad I did! I have an older (2006) sedan with almost 200K miles on it. It was idling rough and would stall out. I knew there were bound to be several things wrong with it, but I just needed this one thing fixed.Bill found the problem and fixed it for me without trying to talk me into a lot of other, more expensive repairs. He is an honest man, an experienced mechanic and a very trustworthy individual. Glad to know he’s here for my next repair!

I was referred by family. Drove from FWB to Pcola after being told by Toyota Dealership needed new front bearings. Repair was performed the following day. I was impressed by his honesty, his willingness to share his knowledge and finding...in detail, and I felt well informed PRIOR and during the repairs. He was fair and honest in labor and did not up charge for parts! I highly recommend him. He is on my emergency call list! LOL
