Went on a Saturday morning and it was PACKED! This is more of a breakfast spot than a coffee joint. They have cappuccino and lattes but only one roast for their regular coffee. I ordered a large pour over. The large (the biggest I saw on the menu board- see pic. The water bottle is for size reference) was more akin to a medium. It costs $3.00. Since mine was a pour over, I paid $4. The coffee was okay. Definitely not worth $4 though. Really a shame. It seems they cater to tourists and the hip crowd. I probably wont go back as there are better options available. (
Always trust a coffee facility that sells Aeropresses and pour-over equipment on the side. My family and I needed a place to sit and recharge for an hour or so, and Bodacious Brew provided that spot! Its located in a beautiful area in downtown Pensacola, and it has a very spacious interior. I got the cold brew and an espresso, both of which were delicious. I dont recall who roasts their beans, but I highly considered purchasing a bag to take home! I also got one of their acai bowls afterwards, which was delicious.
Long line to order and get our food or it would have been 5 stars. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Grits were out of this world. Large selection of coffees.
Always double-check food orders. Consistent with missing items!
This place is AMAZING. I love to cook so this was like heaven to me. Both the ladies working there were so helpful. And the oils/balsamics?! Im just floored at how good they were. We are visiting from Texas but Ill be ordering from this place many times!
I had an omelet with roasted potatoes. The omelet was very good, but the potatoes were room temperature and dry. I sent them back only to get them returned still cold. Between that and seeing the person in the kitchen checking the temperature of the potatoes by grabbing a handful in his fist (gloved), I decided to just stick with the omelet.
I went here to try their build a salad with chicken and it was good. So good I forgot to take a picture. :)
The food was good, the coffee was strong, but the service was okay. Honestly pretty much felt like the lady at the counter was annoyed or didnt really want to be talking to us. We were offered any cream or sugar or napkins, we just had to search around and then eventually ask one of the other staff members who actually cooked our food. Overall Id probably go back for breakfast because of the quality of the food.
Loved the atmosphere here, the coffee was great too. Il wish I lived closer so I could come here more often. I want to try their food too cause it looked and smelled amazing. Especially the pizza.
A solid coffee shop offering in Pensacola. The stylings inside offer a cool vibe while preserving the original buildings feel - a nice live edge plank table, original wood plank floors, brick coffee bar-back. Oddly the taste difference between their large paper cup latte was vastly different than their dine in cup. The in house cup was far better in taste and in the ratio of espresso to milk. Overall a great shop in a great walking area. TIP -three different iced tea flavors.
Had a wedding rehearsal here. Charles and the staff were all-stars and extremely accommodating.
I love the coffees at the Bodacious stores. Bodacious Brew also has a neat shop upstairs where you can buy all sorts of neat kitchen gadgets. Also, my friend works for Bodacious Bookstore, and from what she says, the company treats employees well.
Its actually a decent place. The food menu is good and the plates are very well priced for what you get and though its on the basic side remember, its a coffee house. I was kinda not happy about not having juice or smoothies though. It seems like a beverage place like this and this size would have a full array of juices and smoothies but I asked the girl behind the counter and she answered with a very disappointing, No. So was I. The only thing they had was tiny apple and orange juice 12 oz bottles thats not nearly enough to accommodate your meal. But again, its a coffee house and my wife is the coffee drinker and according to her, its pretty, pretty, pretty good. She likes the book store, too, that they have a few blocks away. I give this place 4 of 5 stars for not really having any other decent drink options other than coffee. Otherwise, its good food, ambiance, and according to my wife, good coffee. And thats the important part after all, if you are an avid coffee drinker like her.
Lovely experience. You can shop for kitchen supplies, same and pick up lots of different infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Also yummy coffee and pretty good food. Had a great time, nice atmosphere and friendly people.
Good coffee, quaint settings, indoor, outdoor, front to watch people, or back for friendly conversation.
First time here. This place was great. I got a Mocha Latte with almond milk and it was very good. There is a bar and shop upstairs with lots of wines and weirdly enough kitchen supplies. Great place.
Long line. They could use having 2 order takers, id give it a 4. But then once your order is ready. Your buzzer gos off. Then those behind the counter. Ignore you. Act as if your not there. Had a gal look at me twice. Just ignored me. 3 stars
Darling little coffee shop in downtown Pensacola! Great atmosphere with abundant seating upstairs. The vibes are on point
The experience was refreshing. Me and Dagny got our coffee and went upstairs and got the tour from Gradine and she was the icing on the cake. It was a delight to talk to her and have her tell us what it was like working there and described the place with such passion and made me and my friend want to spread the word. If you get a chance please go check it out.
Didnt have anything I asked for. Ive had an acai bowl that was decent there before. Other hot food Ive eaten there has lacked flavor.
Good coffee and the food is pretty good too but, the drive thru always seems to have problems with their equipment. Last few times Ive been there, no food is being cooked. A sign would be great when that happens so I dont spend 15 minutes waiting in line only to be told the menu only consists of coffee that day....and then a week later... and a week later. McDonalds has great coffee too and they serve breakfast everyday.
If I reviewed this place based solely on the service and quality of the coffee I had, they would easily get 5 stars. Unfortunately, I also chose to order breakfast. It was borderline impressive how my breakfast wrap, which contained a plethora of ingredients, was completely and totally devoid of any flavor. I believe they have the makings of a great menu, but they are severely lacking in one very crucial component: salt. A little bit of salt could’ve made a huge difference.
Overpriced, weird menu. The food is a front for the outrageously priced gift shop up stairs. Do not recommend. Order was wrong and had to pay for correct items again. Extremely long wait for just 2 items and it was not busy.
Its always a pleasure stopping by here. Coffee is better if you get it in a mug. And all their infused oils and balsamics are delicious!
Everyone loved it! We sat outside under the Umbrellas in the morning. Coffee are great.
This a super cute spot. They have an awesome acai bowl selection.I ordered a very specific Americano and they did what I asked which was awesome. However, the espresso was very sour, extremely under extracted. Im not sure if it was a timing issue or a gram per puck issue but definitely something to look into.
Good lunch spot. The wraps are decent but the locally made ginger pineapple soda is the star of this show! You can find them in the cold section next to the order area.
Excellent location and staff. Chicken salad sandwich was good
Bodacious Brew is an excellent locally owned coffee shop/cafe that has a great selection of coffee and food. Pretty quick service for how busy they are all the time. There is beautiful terrace and balcony seating upstairs with views of downtown Pensacola. Whether youre in the mood for just a coffee or a breakfast sandwich, this place is a great place to sit, relax, and enjoy.
Beautiful cafe and shop downtown. Little expensive but totally worth it. Will definitely go back when visiting again.
Meh, it’s ok. Friendly staff. We wanted breakfast but we’re too late for that so tried salad, flatbread pizza, and a wrap. Not a lot of seating.
Loved the place. Their coffee ☕ was good and so was the food. The acai bowl was delightful. They have outdoor seating, roof top & and inside.
There is long lines in the morning time but other than that they have a wonderful spices you can buy and oils and nuts on the other side of the store and on the left side bodacious side is great you know they have wonderful chai tea
Open floor surroundings and a great crew. London Fog, excellently prepared and hot! Lattes are fixed with the same care.Check out the upstairs, (elevator available) a few tables topside but a great patio when the weather cooperates. Definitely!
It was really good food and a good experience.
Our first time visiting but definitely not the last. Different twist on the food but we loved it.
Stopped in for a cup of coffee and some breakfast, coffee was decent but not great and I ordered the bagel with avocado and tomato and the bagel is really stale I can barely bite thorough it. I’m disappointed.
Great atmosphere. I have an issue with non toasty bagels and getting handed a cream cheese container for my bagel with cream cheese. I like my cream cheese with a side of bagel lol (this is only an issue because Im from NY and my standards for a bagel with cream cheese are almost never met so not the restaurants fault) I was a bit disappointed with the coffee selection. I didnt think coffee was anything special. When I go into a place with part of the name being Brew Id expect quality flavored beans. The nitro machine was down too so maybe I went in at the wrong time. The Matcha and the Chai cold latte were watery. No punch. Nonetheless the food was fresh. Their acai bowls 🥣 are bomb. Southwest and Avocado wraps were good. English muffin sandwich was really good. I didnt expected the ham to be scrambled in but still great. Cold brew was good too! Overall good.
Lovely little shop! Coffee is delicious, honey latte is my favorite. You can get it with a variety of different milks for your dietary needs. If you wish to stay and work a bit you will find several spots to setup you tablet or laptop to work. There is a peaceful balcony if you wish for some fresh air, but if you have a pager for when you waiting for your food to be ready, the pager will not get signal on the balcony upstairs. They have several delicious meal options if you are gluten free. My favorite is their breakfast omelets or their acai bowls.
Best place to chat and catch-up with friends and family.
The staff are very friendly but the place is trying to be something it isn’t. Fancy Pour over coffee, açaí bowls, healthy scrambles is what they offer. But the execution misses a beat. At $4.95 the breakfast bowls are a hell of a deal but they’ve got that swimming in cheap oil taste that you expect, and even tolerate, from a diner not the classy cafe Bodacious is trying to be. The same is true for the coffee. When I pay the premium for a pour over I expect clean tastes that allow the coffee to shine thru, this one was bitter and muddy.I’ll get my coffee from fosko and if I come here to eat I’ll simply think of it more as a greasy spoon and then will be content.
Good coffee, food, and a great place to study or hang with friends!
Terrific coffee, olive oil and gifts. Great for a light lunch. This is a staple of the downtown crowd.
Great coffee. But it is very very loud inside.
The staff are quality, massive shout out to Ms. Mo and Trinity. Ms. Mo can give you the full details of the olive oils and balsamic vinegars. If I were doing an event I would want these two as my servers.
Liked the coffee, location, design inside. Didnt like long wait time and not solted food.
My family and I love this place, so much so that we are willing to take the approximate 45 min drive to come here every so often for their delicious coffee and spectacular breakfast. It is our favorite coffee spot in the area! We have visited both pre and during renovation, and are excited to come back when the renovation is finished. My wife and I were impressed with their ability to continue their normal breakfast operations out of their Bodacious Olive location next door.
I love this place. If I can stop by in the morning to grab a coffee I always will. The food is good but the place is self is just so comfy and welcoming.
What a wonderful spot. Sat outside and gave a virtual posing lesson to one of my clients. It was secluded. But downtown ...the balcony upstairs is where its at.
A great spot to get coffee with friends. Downstairs can be a little crowded sometimes but if you can get the upstairs room when its free, its a great experience. One of the few coffee shops that doesnt play music the entire time youre there which was nice. Has a great view of downtown Pensacola. The coffee was good but a bit pricey; my friends said that the omelette was delicious.
Good breakfast and a fantastic selection of olive oils to cook with plus cooking classes and cheeses upstairs.
The atmosphere is so fun here and the staff is very nice. Their coffee is absolutely delicious!
Delicious açaí bowls with a beautiful sitting area out back & upstairs.
I had dinner reservations elsewhere but happened upon this place when I was wandering around killing time until time to go to the restaurant. I would definitely like to go back and eat there sometime. The food smelled great and the little food trucks collected in one location are a neat idea.
Love the coffee and tea here. My Gf always gets a matcha and loves it. The flatbreads are good in a chuck-e-cheese kind of way.
Great place for a peaceful breakfast!
Lovely hybrid shop with coffee and light café food, including acai bowls. A little pricey, in my opinion, but there are various seating environments such as the patio, balcony, indoor, etc. It is also nice to browse the oil and kitchen selections.
Bodacious has great ambiance and delicious salads to go with your favorite coffee drink. The shop and outdoor balcony upstairs are fantastic. What a great place to meet a friend or client.
Their Caramel Latte Chiller with signature cold brew is the BOMB. So delicious.
Awesome spot!! Great vibe, delicious coffee.
There is always such a nice view on the very top. My friend and I sat there drinking our drinks, watching the sun go down.
Delicious coffee, good light fare menu and very chill atmosphere with upstairs loft seating area
The baristas here are great at what they do, and the quality of the drinks here are insanley good. I came hoping for a good spot to sit at with an outlet, but there was someone in every spot by one. Even outside I couldnt find a good spot. I wont dock a star for this, but I wish there was more outlets here.
I cant say enough about this place. Had one of the best breakfasts of my life here. Very good quality ingredients, everything made to order. Fresh and great portions. Very focused service. Every employee treats everyone like a friend. A beautiful 2nd floor balcony outside and an elevator if needed. We took the stairs and were impressed with the beauty of this place. Even the walls are beautiful. A great place to shop as well. They have so much unique gifts here. We snooped around for well over an hour and still didnt see it all. If you need souvenirs or very nice presents for family and friends then this is the place. Again excellent breakfast. Try this place first.
Nitro was great. But was out of a lot of stuff.
Breakfast menu abundance, I hate grits, but their Bo grits are to die for, just sayin! Sorry, forgot to take photos, will have to go back.
Whatever you are doing, Stop, press “Directions” and go to this place! Breakfast here is so flavorful, savory and delicious! Too late for the photos. Food outstanding, place is spacious and clean, staff helpful and friendly.Definitely a place to stop on your visit to Pcola!😁
It was ok. Nothing great. Philly cheese steak wrap. Was pretty bland. Very small lunch menu.
Good food and good service.
Love the coffee and olive oils from this place! Just wish someone had told me about the rewards program for this place a long time ago, would’ve racked up a bit by now. Had to find out from a friend
Very well priced food and coffee. Bought a hearty and delicious hummus wrap for only $4.99, and the quality was outstanding. Really cant beat that. Always have a good experience when I come here. The atmosphere is relaxing, always super clean, and service is speedy and friendly.
They make a mean pour over.
Great coffee, high prices...but the quality of the coffee kind of makes the prices hurt less. One of my favorite places, but can only come so often.
Really bad service except the guy making the drinks, he did an excellent job. Had to go over the sandwiches 3 X . Then waited for over 20mins for food and at that point we were told they ran out of steak. Gave new sandwich order, came back and still got it wrong. Finally got my friends sandwich right so he was eating 20mins after we were finished. Waitress never wrote down sandwich directions, kept asking again and again.
Very nice place, been there before and had a great experience with great food and service. Today its extremely slow, no pastry and cappuccino came in a paper cup. Very disappointing
Wifi is incredibly inconsistent and frustrating
Picked up dinner and it was amazing fresh... great quality. And taste was spot on. Thank you so much
I think the food and coffee is generally good, and I work downtown so I go fairly regularly. But on three different occasions, I have ordered something that is priced one way on the menu, but charged more. When I ask about this, they just say the menu is outdated and won’t honor the price that is advertised. They should at least tell customers when then are placing the order of the price change. They wouldn’t have said anything at all if I hadn’t brought it up. This is dishonest and lacking in customer service. I love supporting local businesses, but I’ll be going to Starbucks from here on out.
